McDonald's in Emmerich am Rhein

Having to wait over 20 minutes at the drive-thru before an order is even taken, and then another 10 minutes for the food, is simply unbelievable. This has nothing to do with fast food anymore.

I really didn't like the restaurant in Emmerich. Parking was extremely limited. The restaurant was very dirty. The staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed. The fries were soggy and cold. We were quite dissatisfied and probably won't stop there again after a tournament.

Actually, it was pretty bad. We were passing through early in the morning and thought we'd stop by, but they forgot half of a relatively small order for three people. When we ordered, they looked a bit sheepish, and the rest eventually arrived. Not everything was hot enough, but okay... for a short stop with a small snack, it was doable. The toilets were absolutely filthy! The only good thing was the seat cleaner, but it stuck to the floor. Next time we're in the area... we'll definitely keep driving!

A McDonald's restaurant that's not the cleanest, and certainly not the prettiest, but that's typical of Emmerich. In the evenings, it usually looks like a tsunami has swept through the place, leaving a trail of destruction. The tables and the floor underneath are filthy, the tray carts are overflowing, and there are tons of trays with leftovers on the tables. It shouldn't always be like this; I just seem to always pick the days when it's like this. The fries are cold 9 out of 10 times. At the drive-thru, you always have to double-check your order; very often something's wrong or items are missing. If it happens once, okay, but when it's almost the norm, something's not right.

It's a disaster. I've been keeping an eye on this for a few weeks and I think there will be a change, but it's a waste of my time. My last order through liferando.de was placed at 4 p.m. and they delivered at 6 p.m.! I ordered again before 6 p.m. because I thought it wouldn't arrive today. I called, but the line was busy. The second order was placed just before 6 p.m. and they delivered at 9 p.m. 🤣🤣 They mix up orders terribly. You order something, you get something else, different sauces, everything else. I don't recommend it, I won't be visiting again.

It was fine there. I found a clean restroom. It was quite crowded, and there was some trash on the floor here and there. But the staff was busy, and the food we brought was excellent.

Poppy seeds are poppy seeds. They have a bit of slow movement, but overall I recommend them.

Poor quality food. I had a fish burger with all sorts of (burnt) black bits on it, also loose in the box. They claimed it was in the bread, but there was no sign of burning on the bread itself. So they made a new one, and you could have used it to tile it; it was rock hard. I threw the rest away; I'm completely cured now. I'd rather drive to Kleve.

I used to enjoy using the drive-thru here every now and then, but after today's experience, I've lost any interest in doing so for the foreseeable future. With no other customers anywhere in sight—no car in front of me or behind me—I stood for just a brief moment (max. 1 minute) to the right, quite far from the counter, to check my order and quickly sort myself out. Then, in a not-so-friendly manner, someone knocked on my window and told me to pull over to another parking space. Not exactly customer-friendly, especially since things are often forgotten.

Disappointed again. The order didn't arrive for an hour and a half. The fries were cold. The only positive thing was that nothing was missing from the order this time. The worst and dirtiest McDonald's I've ever been to in Europe.

Very disappointing. Products are regularly missing from my orders. The food often arrives cold, and it seems as if no one cares about quality or care. Absolutely unacceptable in the long run – this shouldn't be allowed to happen. I will definitely not order from here again.

The branch needs a lot of improvement. No napkins, no service at the counter, no soap in the restrooms, and no German-speaking employees.

The employees I’ve encountered have always been nice people but the place itself at least for kids it’s very sad and depressing. The playing space is only for children a certain age and it’s a decay

German Mcdonalds is way less tasty then Dutch McDonald's. The meat is more dry and the Germans put way too much sauce on their burgers. Really, if you are German try the Dutch McDonald's at Doetinchem. Overall restaurant was clean and service was okay. We came for the "Mit Mecces um die Welt" menu which was interesting but it would have tasted better if it was made with Dutch meat and less sauce. Also the buns are more dry in Germany. Oh and McDonald's, if you read this, make the McDonald's app international, it sucks that I cannot use it in Germany.

So, we've known about McDonald's for decades. But I don't think there's a company that's constantly dismantling like this one. You pay 20 euros and constantly get only half-baked items. Who would expect anything different from employees who try to throw trash on the tray cart as they walk past, but fail and leave it on the floor? Well... here's a picture of me getting five fries in a row. Ordered a large one, paid for a large one, got a small one. I think if you pour the contents into the small bowl, it might be full. Conclusion: The employees are simply not good. It's a complete disgrace, but probably no one will take any notice and just keep ripping off customers.

Ordering via the app is virtually impossible, I've ordered twice this year: First time, the order was completely different. Of course, I only noticed it when I got home. Everything was in a huge bag, so you assume it'll contain the right things. Second time today, with an order of 4 burgers + sides, 2 burgers were forgotten. When you order in-store, everything is always fine, but I would advise against ordering online from this store.

When someone goes to Mäcces, they have certain expectations. Experience shows that they are not that high. After all, this is a franchise - and without Fran it would just be... But let's leave that! So, don't have high expectations. However, it is remarkable that these minimum requirements can still be exceeded! OK, the burger was okay, but if you ruin the low challenge of acceptable fries by sitting under a heat lamp for a long time, then maybe you should think about another business. At least the staff was quick and the store was in acceptable condition. However, to speak of ambience would be presumptuous. So, McD is enough for this year for now. 😕

Food was ordered quickly. The dining room was freshly cleaned and the tables were clean. There was a great atmosphere among the employees. They were very friendly. Food was brought to the table by a friendly employee.

The food just keeps getting worse! I thought system gastronomy meant that everything always stayed the same. Sometimes everything is overflowing with sauce, sometimes there's hardly any on it. Since I ate here last Wednesday, I have been in bed with food poisoning. It's better to drive to another McDonald's.

The burgers are all slapped together very carelessly. Some of the salad was wrinkled. Never again Emmerich! I always go to Isselburg or Duiven. You can still get normal burgers there. The service staff, on the other hand, have always been very nice.

The tragedy is that the very incompetent service at McDonald's sometimes mixes up orders. The food is presented terribly and they are rude. It stinks here and the employees walk around without hairnets and prepare food without gloves.

Normally satisfied. I come here very often. Today the staff were so unhelpful. (the machines don't work properly) and that's why I lost 800 points, they saw that I didn't get it either. Yet the staff did not try to help and it was like yes, too bad, now you have lost the points.

I've ordered several times and always forget something. Recently we drove back in the car and always said something was missing and the employees said you had to go somewhere else. Just today, January 12th, 2025 at 10 p.m. I was only one person who ordered and forgot something again 6nuggets. Are there people working there without brains or what?

The restaurant was very dirty. There was rubbish, empty packaging and napkins on the floor throughout the guest area. The trolleys for returning the trays were full and were not emptied. A plastic bag filled with waste tipped over and the contents spread across the floor. Due to the visibly poor conditions, I decided to eat somewhere else at short notice.

Today I was there for a quick meal with my wife and brother-in-law. Within a few minutes, the shift manager shouted very loudly at the employees that one of them should clean the salad from the table. Another employee trained 2 new colleagues at the cash register. Then the shift manager came forward in a loud tone and said that every employee who had questions had her you have to ask and not let other colleagues teach you. The lady had glasses and brown hair. Very unprofessional behavior. I myself come from the catering industry and the tone in the music is very important. Respect for co-workers is key. Just because she's a shift manager doesn't mean she has to treat her employees so disrespectfully!

Once again the order is incomplete. Unfortunately I saw it too late again. I'm now wondering whether this is intentional or whether the staff is unable to process or read orders properly. Every chip shop now works better!

From now on I check that the calibration measurement is adhered to, which is almost always below the calibration mark. That's a good 6-10% loss for the cup size at 4.29 euros for a shake. I think that's outrageous!

I've never had to wait so long (25 minutes) for my food even though there wasn't much going on. And counting to 9 is probably too difficult, unfortunately there were only 8 nuggets in the box.

This wasn't emptied either. We were given exactly 1 napkin with our meal. Not even a stirrer with the cappuccino. Not recommended.

The restaurant was not very busy but the tables were very dirty. Contrary to expectations (from many experiences), the order was completely correct but the fries were partly ice cold, which indicates that they had been there for a long time and were mixed with the fresh ones.

Something gets forgotten every other time. Even if you asked beforehand whether everything was there, something was still missing. And once you get home, it's usually not worth driving back again. I wanted to have each menu packaged individually so that no mistakes would happen, the request would be ignored or only half carried out. Also, if you order several menus, 1-2 will be ready quickly and the others will only be ready ten minutes later, so the first menus will be cold. Something urgently needs to change there. It can't be the case that something is always missing.

Prima McDonalds vlakbij de Nederlandse grens. Ze hebben lekkere producten die je in Nederland niet kan krijgen. Het klaarmaken van het eten duurt wel langer dan in Nederland. Ze zijn erg traag. Mocht je de Duitse taal niet goed beheersen zijn er gelukkig Easyorders. Er zijn binnen voldoende zitplekken. Buiten zit je aan een weg waar veel auto’s erg hard rijden.

Probably already heated a few times. That was definitely the last time I got something from this MCD in Emmerich. This wasn't the first time something didn't taste good or was missing.

Update My illness was getting worse and worse and although the doctor said food poisoning at first a week later I was in so much pain I was taken to the hospital. It was my pancreas and had nothing to do with food poisoning. I would like to apologise to everyone working for this MacDonald and I feel really bad for giving 1 star for no reason. I've changed it to five stars. Hopefully it didn't do to much damage.

Instead of cheeseburgers there were hamburgers. Not really a thing, it was changed quickly. But here they just put the cold cheese on the halfway cold burger. Therefore service 1 point. Eating 3 because everything was fine with friends.

Rarely have I seen such a dirty and unkempt McDonalds.

There was an EV charger. And it was local and a quiet Mc. And there was plenty of room to sit. But the floors were dirty, and the toilets were very dirty, there was toilet paper all over the floor near the men and it smelled. There were no milkshakes really weird. And the order was not complete, but they solved everything well.👍🏻

I would prefer to give zero stars, I forgot the 5 euro burger (unfortunately I only noticed it at home) and I would have liked to offer them an energy just like the sleeping pills were on the way. Never ever again. McDonald must have a need if they hire people like that.
