McDonald's in Overath

It's okay in itself. What bothered me, however, is that there are no accessible parking spaces and the entrance is quite narrow. I have a child who uses a wheelchair. It was quite a hassle getting her out of the car and back in again. A similar situation arose in the entrance area. Our wheelchairs kept getting in the way. This should be improved, as we're certainly not the only ones with a child who uses a wheelchair.

It says online and here that the branch is open until 5 a.m. Unfortunately, that's not the case. It's a shame; I was looking forward to it after the long flight.

Just McDonald's. Food like any other, atmosphere okay, service friendly and nice, there are corners like in every McDonald's that need cleaning more often, but nothing special about this branch.

Yes and no, the employees are unfriendly and not helpful. It was very cold today, several customers shared the same opinion, but the employees were happy to ignore or deny the customers' requests...! They supposedly don't have access to the climate settings? That's a lie. They probably want to cool things down extra so people can take their food outside and save themselves work. What a shame...

Normal McDonald's Service is a bit sloppy. Despite ordering at the terminal, something is always forgotten or mixed up.

I don't quite understand the bad reviews. They had a charger (important to me if I'm going to stop), the restrooms were okay, the burgers were warm—otherwise, it's always the same, service was fast, and the staff cleaned well. Everything was fine for me.

It's really cool when the official website of McDonald's Germany advertises that there are now "uniform breakfast times throughout Germany every day (including holidays)" from 7:00 to 10:30 a.m. and then you drive to McDonald's to see that the store doesn't open until 8:00 a.m. 👍🏼

We visited here for the first time today (we're from Oldenburg) and had a great experience. We were able to charge our car right there, and ordering in the car was super easy. Our food was ready in just 1-2 minutes – freshly prepared, fries hot, crispy, and perfectly salted. The restaurant is modern, clean, and very inviting. We'd especially like to mention the friendly staff, who made our visit even more enjoyable. We wish there was a McDonald's like this in Oldenburg! 🍔🍟👏

Incompetent and unscrupulous staff. My order was missing products, and when I requested them, they tried to convince me that I was at fault, even when I presented the order form... Poor hygiene, stained floors, uncleaned tables, and staff working without gloves...

So we only had a positive experience, the food came warm and quickly and everything was good...they were also very keen on cleanliness, they swept and cleaned the tables immediately...we found it very pleasant compared to other McDonald's 😉

I found a hair in my food at McDonald's. Very unhygienic and disappointing.

Ordered via the terminal, waited over an hour, and nothing arrived. Only after asking did we realize our order had been "forgotten." Suddenly, the food arrived in seconds. Totally unprofessional. I no longer trust this restaurant. I won't be back.

Disgusting McDonald's... I'll never get what I saw there on Monday, August 4, 2025, out of my head. The employee serving fries, without a hat, scratched his sweaty, bald head and then shoved his hands into the fries. Or he reached into the fries and shoved some into his mouth IN FRONT OF the other customers. I felt so sick afterward that I threw away the fries I'd ordered from the two meals. When I checked my order, I had to listen to a stupid comment: "Check the lady, she leaves things out on purpose." Horrible place, never again!

It's a roller coaster here. It seems to depend on which staff is on duty. The salad I paid for and received today was ridiculous for the price. The portion size for a "Big Chicken" was a joke, and it contained unpeeled, quartered cucumbers, strips about 10 cm long! And gigantic tomatoes in slices, not halves again. How are you supposed to eat that after driving to the drive-thru?! I had to chop everything up at home first! Then I ask if the four sauces I ordered and paid for are included, and they say yes. I just count the bags at home and see that they aren't the same four sauces, but one wrong one. Otherwise, you always have to check everything here. Most of the employees are often nice, though.

I order (at the drive-thru): 2x double chili cheese and 2x chicken burgers. I get: 2x double chili cheese and 2x cheeseburgers. It tastes good, but honestly, I wasn't in the mood for it. From now on, every burger will be unwrapped first. It wasn't an overly complex order... nice staff, though... oh well. Have a nice evening!

Totally annoying, the endless line at the drive-in, all the way to the main road!!! It's also dangerous!!! Because there are always too few or incompetent employees!? This only happens in Overath, I've never seen anything like it anywhere!!! The quality is usually poor, too. This time it took 45 minutes! (It couldn't be worse, including the food.) Still no improvement in sight!!!

I went to McDonald's in Overath today, and unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant visit. Positive: The lady at the checkout and packing (an older woman with white hair) was very friendly. She informed me that the apple turnover would take about five minutes – completely understandable, as I prefer fresh produce to old ones. After about five minutes, I finally got my order. Negative: Unfortunately, the cheeseburgers were already cold, poorly prepared, and even the wrong toppings (the crust was simply the wrong way round). The fries were hot, but not fresh; they were just kept warm – which made them greasy and streaky. The nuggets were ice cold, although still flavorful. What I witnessed was particularly shocking: The friendly employee noticed that a pack of 20 nuggets was cold and spoke to the kitchen manager about it. His reaction was completely unprofessional – he simply said, "Yeah, then do it yourself," and even threw the nuggets at the employee. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable! Something urgently needs to be changed regarding staff training – and this employee should face consequences as soon as possible. Overall, unfortunately, this was not a pleasant visit.

First of all, the unfriendliness when paying and serving. Perhaps that's not what's expected these days. But it's not a problem, since I was there again today after a good year. The food was lukewarm, the fries were saltless, and then the price was just for 10 fries. You don't need that anymore.

Always packed. Long waits at the car counter because staff don't use the alternative parking space behind the counter. The food looked like it had fallen down and been smashed back together, and it was cold too. One of the worst MCs I've ever known.

It's sad that we're standing in the Mc Drive-thru on a Sunday afternoon. There's no one in front of us and we have to wait 6 minutes until someone even comes to the announcement.

The last time I visited the McDrive, two burgers were missing. This time, I was asked to wait at the intercom. After eleven minutes, I was really fed up. Since there was no one behind me, I backed out.

The current chef has no idea how to make the citizens horny. Royal TS, Big Mc, and Big Tasty Bacon are way too dry and don't feel fresh. Bring back the old chef, or someone who's got the skills.

A busy but quiet place. Service is as fast as possible. There is table service. There are balloons and a play area for children. The toilet is spotlessly clean.

As always when unpacking at home everything is cold and orders are always missing.

Right on the A4 motorway, NRW, a bit hidden but easy to find. Please do not confuse it with the A4 from the Kirchheimer triangle, Hesse. There is also a McDonald's there.

You order a Minecraft menu and it is delivered quickly to your location. But then there was no figure there, only when you asked were you told that there were no more figures and that was it... without asking, they would have simply ignored it. Is not in the spirit of the resulting purchase contract.

The last thing you will do is get yelled at at the terminal because the management is in a bad mood!!! The unfriendliness personified became the direction I've never experienced anything like that to this day 🤦🏻‍♂️ Boss supposedly on vacation... A tip to the management: try a sensible line, that should help!!

Unfortunately, I was unpleasantly surprised by the service at this McDonald's. The staff were unfriendly, rude and completely uninterested in helping. Communication took place with irritation, without basic politeness. I'm glad I was only passing through here. I hope management will pay attention to the quality of service.

Unfortunately I have to give the branch in Overath a bad rating, but it mainly refers to the McDrive. Ordered something from McDrive twice in a row and something was missing twice. The first time the side dishes for two happy meals and today the side dish (fries). There was a lot going on and I didn't want to check everything individually because of the long queue. But in Overath it is mandatory from experience. Everything is fine in the branch and I have nothing to complain about. The employees are nice. Only the point mentioned above needs to be improved and checked.

The interior was clean and well-kept, and the toilets were also in an acceptable condition. What was particularly positive: the staff was friendly and attentive despite the stress. There was even a small children's program and enough seats. Absolutely suitable for a quick stopover - nothing out of the ordinary, but solid quality, as you would expect from McDonald's.

No, because 20 chicken nuggets were forgotten. So we threw €12 out the window. And the cheeseburger had no onions at all and the other one had way too much ketchup and the fries weren't salted and there was only a pickle on the cheeseburger. The Big Mac wasn't prepared with love, it was just slapped into the package. The iced tea also fell over and it was all way too expensive!!

We were at the DriveIn that night and I just have to say how incredibly great the employee served us. I've actually been really annoyed with McDonald's lately because they keep getting my orders wrong. I actually got my chai latte with oat milk as ordered. Unfortunately, this has rarely happened lately. I have rarely had such a delicious chai latte. Normally it doesn't taste that good at McDonald's. The employee was incredibly friendly! I hope this employee works there for a long time and gets paid enough!

Attention; according to HP it was open until 1 a.m. but it was already closed at 12:15 a.m., I wanted to go to the MCs again after a long time because the curfew has been lifted since May 28th, so I looked on the Internet for the opening times and it said open until 1 a.m. on three websites, even attached to the store a sign with these opening times. Doesn't Mc Donalds manage to update the opening times? It can't be that difficult.
