MAUI im Ludwigpalais in München

Unfortunately, not a good experience. The staff was very unfriendly. As part of a promotion, we were supposed to receive a free dessert in exchange for a review. After the waiter couldn't find our review in his system, he accused us of trying to cheat – even though we showed him the reviews we had actually submitted. In the end, it turned out that the system apparently filters out reviews containing constructive criticism and doesn't display them. This was a very unpleasant situation for us, especially since we acted honestly and were still treated accordingly. Overall, a disappointing impression, especially regarding customer service.

Very unfriendly service. Just because you don't leave a 5-star review, you don't get dessert. Fine, whatever! Never again, we don't need that kind of treatment. I would gladly give this place 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible, so I'm giving it 1 star.

Super friendly service and incredibly delicious food! We were able to fully enjoy the beautiful weather with a glass of Crémant, right on the lovely Ludwigstrasse. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

This place is an absolute 10/10, it's truly amazing. I wish I'd been here sooner. The food is incredibly authentic, fresh, and delicious. The ambiance and atmosphere impressed me even more—it's really lovely. The service was also fantastic, and we had a wonderful evening with excellent food.

I went to MAUI for the first time today and it was absolutely AMAZING! We had different appetizers and they were all fantastic. Edamame, summer rolls, tacos… really good. I'll definitely be back!!!

I love Maui on Ludwigstrasse. It's unexpectedly small, very cozy, and rather quiet in the back. The service has always been fantastic, no matter when I've been there. Regarding the food: They offer both Hawaiian and Vietnamese specialties. The menu has a wide selection of appetizers and main courses, as well as delicious desserts. It's not a cheap restaurant, but the food is one of the best I've ever been to. Everything I've ordered has been incredibly good, cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. My only complaint was that the food was only lukewarm on my last visit. Since this has only happened once, I assume it was a glitch in the system. And as I said, the food is absolutely delicious. For me, a visit to Maui is a truly wonderful experience. I highly recommend it.

A very cozy restaurant. Comfortable, yet modern and unique. The service was very friendly and helpful. The long drinks were exceptional and tasted fantastic. The food was also simply delicious and beautifully presented. It's a bit pricey, but also very special.

MAUI offers excellent cuisine and exceptionally friendly service. I've become a regular there and I enjoy it very much. I can wholeheartedly recommend MAUI.

The interior design at Maui is stylish, perfectly themed, and very cozy. The menu is very diverse, and the many sharing options are a real highlight. The portions are absolutely generous, and the food is beautifully presented. There's a wide selection of drinks, and I especially loved the many virgin options! The service is also top-notch: attentive, friendly, and very accommodating. I went with a friend, but we both agreed that Maui would also be a perfect date spot ;-) I'll definitely be back!

UPDATE: The restaurant is trying to have honest reviews removed by reporting them to Google. They claim I wasn't there. Luckily, I took photos and was able to prove it! ---------- The food was good, but the appetizer portions were relatively small for the price. The service was friendly, but incredibly slow, even though it wasn't busy. We waited ages for our cold appetizers. And we had to ask twice for the wine.

The service and atmosphere were fancy and amazing. I loved that. However, the food could have been more flavourful. The flavour profile doesn’t match. It’s either on the salty, or spicy side with lack of balance. That’s the only point which requires improvement. For the cost of what we paid, I would expect more than what I received tonight.

My living room should be just as beautiful….

My poke bowl was too spicy for my taste (I can't tolerate any spice at all), but I guess that's Hawaiian cuisine for you (it was my first time trying it) :). Otherwise, everything was perfect, a very nice atmosphere and very respectful service.

This was our second visit to Maui, and once again we were very impressed with the food. The selection is extensive and delicious. We had dumplings, summer rolls, and the Loco Moco. All three dishes were very tasty, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was quick and very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the Loco Moco wasn't prepared the way it's done in Hawaii. (No ground beef, no gravy; instead, it had vegetables that aren't found in Hawaii.)

We had such a wonderful evening at MAUI Hawasian Kitchen & Bar! From the moment we walked in, the place felt vibrant, cozy, and inviting. The restaurant blends Hawaiian and Asian cuisine in a really creative way, and the result is delicious. The food was fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor, you can really taste the quality ingredients. Portions were generous and perfect for sharing. The cocktails were also fantastic and clearly made with care. Pair that with the warm and friendly service, and the whole experience becomes something really special. If you’re in Munich and want a restaurant that feels a little different from the usual spots, this is definitely worth visiting.

I always enjoy going to MAUI. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the food is delicious, and the service is very friendly. So far, I've always been able to stay as long as we wanted and have never been "kicked out" after 1.5 hours (like in other restaurants).
