Ngon Soulfood Vietnamese Cuisine & Sushi in München

Delicious and cozy, can only recommend!

It’s one of the best restaurants that I visited in Munich! I’m very recommend the vegan dishes and also the fresh sushi! Very delicious! The waiter are very friendly! All in all it was the best one I’ve ever been!

We were only in the restaurant for a short time and left disappointed after a quick look at the menu. According to the menu, all dishes with meat contain flavor enhancers!! An absolute no-go for us 🙅‍♀️

The food was really good and beautifully presented. The restaurant is very authentically decorated and really cozy. The service was quick, not to mention hectic. We had a reservation, unfortunately only for a time slot of 1.5 hours, which is simply far too short. We were told several times that our time was about to end. Just in time for the end, we were asked to leave, even though there were no guests for our table. We felt very rushed throughout the entire meal and urged to leave at the end. We will therefore no longer visit the restaurant and cannot recommend it if you want to spend a cozy evening.

We had a wonderful meal here once again. I am very sensitive and tolerated everything very well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

We have eaten at Ngon many times and always had a great evening, like today. Delicious, fresh food and the staff is super nice and friendly! It's always busy, so you should make a reservation. We'd love to continue to visit you!

We are quite disappointed with the Ngon Soulfood Restaurant. After the third time, we noticed that the dishes were served more and more lukewarm. We can only recommend the sushi and the small starters, the food is actually not bad, but who likes to eat lukewarm food on ice cold plates... I waited a total of over two hours for my food and then it was not only lukewarm again but unfortunately not the dish I ordered... waiting again... instead of apologizing, I was treated quite loudly and very rudely. What a birthday meal... well, thank you very much for that... What a pity

It's expensive and you have to be aware of that. I paid €6 extra for tofu and it was just a small pile for that price. I paid €13, and in general it just tasted like fat.

As native Vietnamese, we ate at Restraunt Ngon for the first time today. Many thanks to the wonderful team at Ngon for bringing us back to the traditional flavors of Ngon's food. Cozy space, delicious and quality food, dedicated service. We will definitely come back!

Excellent sushi! Payment only by cash

Updated January 2025; The quality of the food is still top class! Everything tastes really excellent and at fair prices. But: I have to deduct at least one star because the organization on weekends and public holidays is disastrous. I repeatedly ordered and picked up food. And ALWAYS had to wait. I'm not talking about 5-10 minutes after the specified time, but about over 45 minutes that I stood in the restaurant today, for example, even though I only went there 10 minutes after the specified pick-up time, alongside up to eight other people who also have waited. The shop is quite small, which is uncomfortable for the guests who want to enjoy a nice dinner there. Unfortunately, the Asian mentality doesn't seem to allow us to say honestly and openly how long it will take, but instead we constantly claim that it's actually already finished, just 2 minutes more. This is annoying and counterproductive for the operators! Update: fantastic! All dishes, whether sushi or Vietnamese specialties, are of very high quality! Absolute recommendation! However, we always pick up as we live next door, so I can't contribute anything to the service or drinks.

Always delicious and very friendly. No matter what you order, it always tastes great. The lunch menu is also great.

update posted below: When the NGONG opened what felt like 2-3 years ago, I was there once and wasn't thrilled - I had heard that there were new tenants and so I wanted to give the shop a chance - and I have to say, I was extremely happy with my delicious meal Lunch dish - I'll definitely come back and try out lots of other things - everything tasted super fresh and delicious - I'm happy that we had a delicious Vietnamese meal in a cozy, small and chilled atmosphere have... very friendly staff! thank you and see you soon :: update 01/06/25 This evening I was there for the 4th time since my premiere a few weeks ago - my first impression was confirmed again - our food was fantastic - I love c3 - you really do a great job - I recently had a "lighter" sauce with it - Tonight was more intense, so I'm upgrading my 4 stars to 5 and I'm grateful that we have such a cozy, beautiful restaurant in the neighborhood. We don't have to go to Glockenbach anymore or somewhere else - you can keep up with it.. thanks -Cảm ơn PS: only small criticism - the payment process often takes far too long

The restaurant was once one of our favorites (gave it 5 stars) but unfortunately the service, food and price have deteriorated. €7 for Bun Ba Lot as a starter and it was an incredibly small portion. 15€ for a skin dish that was 70% pasta and salad. I get a whole roast pork for that. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend the restaurant

We have now ordered for delivery several times. The food is good, but every time it takes much longer than advertised. This time - despite asking twice by phone - it took well over 2 hours. And the journey takes a maximum of 10 minutes. Therefore, unfortunately we will no longer order or go there in the future.

My visit to the ngon soulfood restaurant was a real taste experience! From the moment I entered the restaurant I was amazed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is modern and cozy, perfect for a relaxed dinner. The menu offers a wide variety of Vietnamese specialties and I couldn't resist trying the Pho. It was to die for – the broth was rich and flavorful, and the fresh herbs complemented the dish perfectly. The summer rolls were also a highlight: crunchy and filled with fresh vegetables and tender meat. The service was exceptional. The waiters were friendly, helpful and had good recommendations for the dishes. You can tell that quality is important here, both in terms of food and service. Overall, my visit to ngon soulfood was a completely successful experience. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Munich. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The food there is really an insider tip! The owners are super welcoming and really pay attention to every detail They really have the best Pho Bo in all of Munich and the sushi is also really nicely served and extremely tasty

Very nice staff, but few. The food is excellent. The place is really tight and you have to make a reservation. The prices are reasonable. There are also non-alcoholic drinks. The decor is with lots of exotic flowers, also on the plate.

All dishes from starter to main course were very tasty! Guava spritzer really tasted like guava. Something we can't say about other restaurants. Only one small negative point: We would have liked more flat rice noodles and glass noodles in our soup. Because they were gone immediately in one bite! But otherwise everything was great and highly recommended :)

The Ngon restaurant is an absolute insider tip! The sushi and Vietnamese dishes are first-class – fresh, tasteful and prepared with a lot of love. There are many places in Munich where you can enjoy sushi, but this one really stands out! I've been here several times and have been impressed every time. Particularly noteworthy is the consistency in quality – always a delight. Even if it is a little out of the way, the visit is definitely worth it. An absolute must for sushi and Vietnam cuisine lovers. Highly recommended!

Very loving restaurant and you can taste that everything is specially and freshly prepared. This also results in a slightly longer waiting time for the dishes. Small drawback or note: we both had strips of a chili pepper in our dishes, which diminished the enjoyment of the meal in the short term. Might be a bit problematic for children or young people... but otherwise, try it yourself and enjoy.

An absolutely fantastic Asian restaurant! The duck with peanut sauce was to die for – crispy, tender and full of flavour. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was cozy. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality Asian cuisine.

Complete disaster. We were first in the restaurant on a Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. The first meal came about 70 minutes after we ordered, but each dish had another 10 minute wait (we had several small starters and another main course). Some of them were even the wrong dishes. Exactly the same at the surrounding tables. In total it took about 2 hours until we got all the dishes. Everyone eating in the restaurant had an outrageously long wait while ToGo orders were delivered every minute. Complete chaos. Despite asking several times, we had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill. There was no apology or accommodation from the restaurant. The food was tasty, but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it due to the circumstances.

The food here tastes excellent and I think the price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. I would recommend making a reservation in the evening, as the outdoor spaces fill up quickly, especially when the weather is nice. I found the service staff to be very friendly and personable. There's not just sushi, but also curry, homemade noodles, soups and vegan dishes - we enjoyed the lunch menu with duck and coconut soup and were well served. Prepared with lots of fresh vegetables in a pleasant atmosphere.

Food is outstandingly good. No matter whether sushi or classic warm dishes. Service was a bit slow, so one point was actually deducted. Since the food gets 6/5 stars, I'll stick with 5 stars overall.

I had a fantastic visit to "Ngon soulfood." The flavors in the duck curry were exquisite, and the SS5 sushi menu was a truer delight. The freshness of the fish in the sushi was impressive. To round out the meal, I enjoyed their homemade lime-lemongrass lemonade, a refreshing and tangy-tart delicacy that I highly recommend to any visitor. Additionally, the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff helped make the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Yesterday was my first experience with their delivery service and I have to say I was more than satisfied! The sushi arrived on time and maintained its freshness. A testament to their quality standards. I would definitely come back again! The overall experience was extremely excellent and I look forward to my next visit!

A good Vietnamese restaurant where I was able to eat really good CHA GIO and BUN BO LA LOT even though it is a dish that is usually served like this in Vietnam. Unfortunately it is not always open for lunch because we tried to return but both Saturday and Sunday it was closed for lunch.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Ngon Soulfood and I have to say I was impressed with the entire experience. The ambience was inviting and relaxing, with subtle Asian décor details creating a pleasant atmosphere. The staff, especially the owners, were friendly and accommodating, which made the stay even more pleasant. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. The menu offered a wide selection of Vietnamese dishes, from classic pho soups to fresh summer rolls and hearty curry dishes. I started with the spring rolls, which were crispy and filled with fresh ingredients. For the main course I chose the Pho Bo soup, which was served with plenty of tender beef and fresh herbs. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the portion was generous. Another notable dish was the grilled pork belly with rice noodles and fresh herbs. The combination of spicy meat, refreshing herbs and the tender rice noodles was excellent. The prices were fair and the portions were big enough to fill you up. The dessert options were also tempting and I chose the mochi. A look at the menu also reveals that Ngon has an incredible lunch menu. Delicious dishes at unbeatable prices and a delicious starter! Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the sushi, but I've only heard good things from friends. High quality, delicious and fresh sushi creations! Overall, my visit to Ngon was a pleasure. The authentic cuisine, friendly staff and pleasant ambience make it a place I would definitely recommend. I'm looking forward to my next visit to try more of the delicious Vietnamese dishes.

We love eating at Ngon or ordering it home, we just love the pho soups, the spring rolls, the curries or even the sushi. We just love the whole menu there. We have always been very satisfied, everything tastes so delicious. Very friendly staff and also super fast delivery.

Great restaurant, quite small, so definitely make a reservation. From bowls to warm dishes to sushi, everything is absolutely top quality. Relatively cheap in price (for fine dining in Munich) and a great ambience. However, only cash payment was possible for all visits, so bring cash with you.

Overall very nice! Very good food, very friendly waitress and it is a simple yet nice atmosphere. They generally do offer digital payment but currently did not. We will quite soon come back anyhow and if it is working again I will maximise my rating for sure.
