Titel: Tolles Rätsel-Event von exEat, aber enttäuschender Service im Mauerwerk Wir haben am exEat Exit Dinner im Mauerwerk Herrenberg teilgenommen. Das Rätsel-Konzept war super und hat uns viel Spaß gemacht. Massive Abzüge gibt es jedoch für die Bewirtung: Es wurde Fisch serviert, ohne dass dies vorab kommuniziert wurde. Das größte Ärgernis war jedoch die mangelnde Flexibilität: Obwohl das Restaurant parallel regulär geöffnet war, konnte man uns absolut keine Alternative zum Fisch anbieten. Bei einem Event dieser Art sollte eine Menü-Kommunikation vorab oder zumindest eine spontane Lösung vor Ort Standard sein. So blieb leider ein fader Beigeschmack.

Wir haben eine wundervolle Geburtstagsparty im Mauerwerk Restaurant gefeiert. Von der Buchung für die 45 Personen, dem Emailkontakt, den Telefonaten und dem Besprechungstermin im Mauerwerk bis hin zur Feier war alles bestens und sehr freundlich organisiert. Die Getränkeauswahl und vorallem das hervorragende Essen haben uns und unsere Gäste vollkommen überzeugt. Besonders erwähnen möchten wir, dass auf Sonderwünsche hinsichtlich von Nahrungsunverträglichkeiten problemlos eingegangen wurde. Besonderes Lob bekam die Kartoffel-Knoblauch-Kräutersuppe, die Frühlingsbowl, der Mauerwerkburger, die Spargelmaultaschen und zum Abschluss das weiße Sckokomousse und die vegane Kuchenvariation. Alles in Allem eine klare Empfehlung. Unsere DJ‘s durften bis 3 Uhr für Stimmung sorgen. So lässt sich ein neues Lebensjahr perfekt starten. Großes Dankeschön an das gesamte Team!

Wir waren seit langer Zeit mal wieder im Mauerwerk und hatten leider keine gute Erfahrung gemacht. Das Essen hat den hohen Preis nicht gerechtfertigt und die Serviceorientierung des Inhabers geht gegen 0. Recht zu haben scheint ihm wichtiger zu sein, als einen guten Kundenservice zu bieten. Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung, aber am Ende steht und fällt jede gute Gastronomie mit dem Personal, weswegen dies unser letzter Besuch war.

Für die Preise kann man mehr vom Essen erwarten. Negativ aufgefallen ist der sehr unfreundliche Chef im Service. Wir werden definitiv nicht wieder kommen. Es gibt bessere Optionen für das Budget....

Gut gespeist und anschließend ins Cabaret nebenan.... Tolle location, klasse Konzept.

Wir haben hier meinen runden Geburtstag gefeiert. Das Essen war hervorragend, der Service ebenso! Alles in allem einfach perfekt! Nochmals ein herzliches Dankeschön an das ganze Team für diesen - für uns- unvergesslichen Abend.

Wir waren am Freitag den 23. 01.2026 im Mauerwerk in Herrenberg und besuchten das Classic Rock Conzert mit dem Sänger Mike Masse. Es war eine tolle Veranstaltung und die Musik war super. Vor der Veranstaltung wollten wir gemütlich im Restaurant essen. Wir, meine Frau und ich, bestellten Roastbeef mit Spätze und Soße. Als Vorspeise wählten wir feine Rindersülze von Tafelspitz. Die Vorspeise war Ok, aber nichts besonderes. Nun zum Roastbeef, was 29,80€ pro Person gekostet hat. Die gesamte Herrichtung des Tellers war lieblos. Fleisch, Spätzle und Soße auf den Teller gelegt, die Soße und Zwiebeln trüber und fertig. Kein grün oder deko, einfach nichts. Mein Fleisch war in der Konsistenz sehr zart. Geschmacklich war es zu flach, fade es fehlte an Salz und Pfeffer. Note gut. Jetzt zum Steak meiner Frau, dieses war schon vom Zustand her sehr schlecht zugeschnitten, an einem Ende sehr dünn, an anderen etwas dicker, also ein Endstück vom Roastbeef. Es war voller Sehnen und auf der dünnen Seite total trocken. Man konnte es nur zur Hälfte essen, der Rest war unzerkaubar. Note 6!!!! Als wir das Fleisch bei der Bedienung reklamierten sagte sie, sie werde es an die Küche weitergeben. Sehr belehrend und schnippick sagte sie, ein Koch kann schließlich nicht in jedes Fleisch reinschauen. Eine Entschuldigung kam weder von ihr noch aus der Küche. So etwas darf in einem Spitzenlokal wie sich das Mauerwerk selbst auszeichnet, nicht passieren. Ich habe 91,50 € bezahlt und bin hungrig und verärgert gegangen. Ein nächstes Mal ins Mauerwerk, nein Danke. Für dieses Geld kann ich überall besser essen. Raimund Blass

The food was perfect, and every guest was very pleased with both the selection and the taste of the dishes. Furthermore, it must be said that the restaurant looks indescribably beautiful. We would dine at Mauerwerk again anytime, even for larger events.

The after-work party is always amazing. Otherwise, we like to eat there. It's delicious and regional...

A great cabaret stage with a sophisticated program. Have a bite to eat in the attached restaurant beforehand, then head inside the building to the stage. Always great and highly recommended!

Unique interior design throughout the building. We didn't eat, just went to the cinema. Very friendly, pleasant atmosphere.

The food is usually good, but the service is lackluster. If you have theater tickets, for example, it can be tight unless you reserve well in advance.

A good menu mix, even for vegetarians, with a kohlrabi carpaccio or gnocchi with vegetables and mushrooms. Very attentive service. On hot, sunny evenings, the place is very pleasantly shady, so you can forget the main street.

Mauerwerk as a wedding location offers very good value for money. The collaboration with the Hotel Hasen enables a fantastic discount there, and the fact that it is just a 5-minute walk away makes it the perfect hotel for the wedding party. Communication with the owner was always very pleasant, and Mauerwerk's flexibility regarding our wishes and ideas was a true blessing. We had a fantastic day and a beautiful hall. The food was absolutely delicious, although we believe there is still room for improvement in the service and coordination within the team to ensure the celebration runs more smoothly. Our guests lacked for nothing, and we can therefore recommend Mauerwerk as a wedding location with only minor reservations. We are delighted to have celebrated a wonderful celebration at Mauerwerk and will remember this beautiful day for a long time to come.

We were there for the first time to attend an event and wanted to have something to eat beforehand. As I said, this was our first time there. When we arrived, the weather was great and we wanted to sit at a table on the terrace. There was no sign on the table that it was reserved. When we wanted to sit down, an employee or owner, you don't know, not very friendly informed us that it was the artist's table, and if they didn't get anything to eat at that table, we wouldn't have any fun at the event. It's all in the music, as my mother always said. Well, we ended up ordering from another table... there was still time and the occupancy was manageable, so it took almost an hour for our food to finally arrive - no go. When we wanted to pay, it also took a while, so we decided to go inside and pay since the event was about to start. We briefly informed the waiter, who was friendly, but what followed was a truly unfriendly experience. The bitch who was supposed to be taking the cash snarled at my husband. They can't share, after all. So unfriendly... Well, no tip. There was a 15-minute break. We went back to the terrace. This person came, saw us, came out... didn't even look at us, and disappeared. As I said, the artist, the performance, everything was great. I can't understand why this Mauerwetk is so praised given the abysmally poor service. If we come back, then and only then, for the event, we'd rather spend our money on food somewhere else where we feel welcome as guests and where this is actually lived up to.

Wir haben schon öfters tolle Kleinkunst und Kabarett in Mauerwerk erleben dürfen. Jetzt waren wir endlich zum ersten Mal zum Essen dort und sehr angenehm überrascht. Sehr nette Bedienung und ein sehr gutes Essen. Auch die Räume in einer ehemaligen Methodistenkirche sind sehr ansprechend. Wir waren nicht zum letzten Mal dort!!!

I was there for lunch recently. The food is exceptionally good, and so is the ambiance. The service was very good and quick. The restrooms were also very clean, and the whole building fits the theme perfectly. The theatrical performances and live music, in particular, complement the setting beautifully.

I know Mauerwerk in Herrenberg from two beautiful weddings I've attended there. A beautiful spot, delicious food, a friendly, easy-going team—what more could you want? The champagne reception at one of the weddings took place on the outdoor terrace, which is subtly decorated with designer elements.

The menu is a bit smaller but has a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The selection of drinks is very large. The service team is very attentive and friendly. Even though there was a large group on the first floor, there were no waiting times. Definitely worth a visit - even without joining the stage program next door.

Good food in a well-kept environment. Prices are ok. Service doesn't care about empty drinks glasses.

We celebrated our civil wedding last April in the Mauerwerk. The arrangements in advance were very friendly and uncomplicated, special requests were fulfilled and the best thing: the weather was unexpectedly so nice on the day that we were able to spontaneously move the champagne reception to the terrace - that wasn't a problem either. The food was great, as was the service, and the atmosphere was unique. We can recommend the masonry 100% :-)

We celebrated our wedding in the masonry and rented the entire masonry. We can praise the masonry highly. Great food, excellent service, beautiful location and uncomplicated arrangements. This made it an unforgettable wedding for us that we will always remember fondly!

Ich habe meinen runden Geburtstag im Mauerwerk gefeiert und meinen Gästen und mir ist er als unvergesslicher Abend in Erinnerung geblieben. Die Location bietet für kleine und große Feiern ein einmaliges Ambiente, die jedes Fest noch schöner machen. Jeanette Stoll hatte sehr gute Ideen für das Essen und den Ablauf und reagierte flexibel auf meine Wünsche. Der Service am Abend lief sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Wer eine stylische Location mit Wohlfühlcharakter sucht, wird hier fündig, auch Preis/Leistung haben mich überrascht. Ich kann das Mauerwerk jederzeit von Herzen empfehlen.

I celebrated my big birthday at the Mauerwerk and my guests and I remember it as an unforgettable evening. The location offers a unique ambience for small and large celebrations, which makes every celebration even more beautiful. Jeanette Stoll had very good ideas for the food and the event and responded flexibly to my wishes. The service in the evening was very courteous and attentive. If you are looking for a stylish location with a feel-good atmosphere, you will find it here. I was also surprised by the price/performance ratio. I can wholeheartedly recommend Masonry at any time.

Hätte ein schöner Abend sein können wenn man uns Platz oben angeboten hätte. Unten war nur kalt und zugig... Preis/Leistung bzw Qualität nicht wirklich stimmig. Wokgemüse ohne Beilage mini Portion und zu 80% nur Paprika. Vorteil: man bekommt nach 20.30 Uhr noch was zu essen

Schon lange nicht so einen schlechten Service erlebt. Unmotiviert und völlig inkompetent. Keinerlei Interesse Kunden zur Wiederkehr zu veranlassen. Am Ende wurde man raus komplementiert, obwohl noch 2 h Öffnungszeit.

Had a voucher that was redeemed even though it had already expired. The table reservation and the email contact in advance were uncomplicated, quick and friendly. The service on site was impeccable, friendly and helpful with any special requests. The dishes were beautifully prepared and extremely tasty. Pleasant atmosphere and good value for money. Regional foods are processed, which I think is great. Food intolerances are addressed openly and in a solution-oriented manner. Great location!

Great atmosphere, very nice and courteous staff, great planning for larger events, very flexible and also very tasty food... I highly recommend a visit to Mauerwerk to everyone. Even with larger groups alone in the gallery there is nothing missing, the ambience cannot be topped. 10/10.

The service was really excellent, the side salad was very tasty, the main course (pulled pork with wedges and wok vegetables) was something out of the ordinary, unfortunately the wedges weren't crispy and a dip was missing. Unfortunately, the dessert (peanut slices) is not recommended as it is very heavy on the stomach. That's why only the 3 stars

I was really impressed with the food this time: sea bass with some vegetables and celery puree. Or something like that. It was really, really tasty - not much, but quite enough for me and beautifully presented. Service was friendly, attentive and quick. Ambiance - hmm, well, actually nice, sometimes it feels a bit barren. That depends on where you sit. That evening it was too cool for my taste. But that's a snapshot. Otherwise great. Thoroughly recommended.

Yesterday I was back at the Mauerwerk for a long time and I have to say I was disappointed, I had schnitzel with potato salad and got a mini portion of potato salad for two large schnitzels, it just didn't fit in proportion, when I asked if I could have a little more, I got it the answer only for an additional charge very disappointing! It's a shame I've never experienced such bad service. It's a shame that they now react to my recession but not when I mentioned it directly in the restaurant.

Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe da und hatten verschiedene Gerichte. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Unter anderem hatten ein paar von uns Linguine, hat sehr gut geschmeckt, leider waren es Miniportionen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier leider nicht. Personal freundlich und kompetent.

We had our wedding reception in the Mauerwerk and were very satisfied. The food is excellent and was highly praised by everyone. The location itself is also very beautiful and well suited with a free wedding ceremony, champagne reception, dining room and the bar with party area. Small setback: you can't always go to the location the evening before to set up if there's another event. This made some planning and agreements slightly more difficult. But that's also luck with the appointment.

High-priced restaurant with many interesting events. We enjoyed one of these, a kind of crime dinner where the food was unlocked using puzzles. The event was great, the atmosphere was very good. As I said, the food was expensive, but of very good quality and really tasty. The service alone was really a disaster. Unforgivable for us at a restaurant of this class. (Forgotten drinks, forgotten food and service that alternated between listless, rude and rude). For us it was the last visit. But other visitors can look forward to great food and hopefully better staff.

A very nice place where you can sit comfortably in an attractive atmosphere. The menu read great, including roast roast sous vide (pre-)cooked with very tasty spaetzle, a dollop of sauce and colorful vegetables. A very clear plate came for €32.40. However, the roast roast that was ordered medium was very, very tough, which caused me to only chew half of it. I let the rest go back, saying it was tough. Our waitress really meant well for me and offered me an espresso as compensation, which I politely declined. Too generous. In general, the service was a bit crazy, but there are daily arrangements; not so bad. I don't think I would want to eat at the Mauerwerk a second time; the price/performance ratio has to be right and that was definitely not the case. It's a shame, I expected more. After the detailed statement from the catering management, I will give the masonry a second chance. We're all human ;-)

Food was delicious we all ate fish with pasta! The menu is not very big which makes the dishes very tasty. Plus most of the ingredients are locally sourced (support your locals!) . And for architecture lovers, the building used to be a church in the 18's and they made a superb job with the remodeling

The rooms are nice, the menu raises high expectations, but unfortunately the food is bland and tasteless and is hard on the stomach. Service unfortunately unfriendly and inattentive (even when there is little going on). A pity!

Überteuerter Royal Hamburger. Abolut nicht zu empfehlen. Schmeckt nicht. Nachtisch eine Art ,, Creme Brulee" wenigstens war der OK. Trotzdem überteuert.

Sehr leckeres, außergewöhnliches Essen, liebevoll angerichtet. Gin Liebhaber kommen hier auch voll auf ihre Kosten - Eklat, Citadelle, Siegfried, gin Sul, ... als Gin Tonic und andere Longdrinks. Die Mitarbeiter sind immer sehr freundlich. Toiletten sind sauber. Alle paar Monate gibt es Änderungen in der Karte, sodass es immer etwas Neues gibt und es nie langweilig wird.

Kleine Location für Konzerte. Die Getränke sind eher hochpreisig und es gibt keine Tische zum Abstellen im Saal. Es dürften ein paar Toiletten mehr sein.

Immer wieder eine schöne Theater- oder Musikaufführung und vorher zum Essen...

Schönes Restaurant in einem ehemaligen Kirchengebäude mitten in Herrenberg. Freundliches Personal und schneller Service. Das Essen war auch vorzüglich. Im hinteren Teil des Gebäudes befinden sich, vom Restaurant getrennt, Veranstaltungsräume die als Theater/Kino genutzt werden.

Schönes Lokal mit tollem Ambiente, hervorragendem Essen und sehr nettem Personal.

Nette Bedienung, Gutes Essen und ein schönes Intérieur. Auch wenn man Abends noch nach 21:00 kommt gibt es noch warme Küche. Perfekt wenn man davor unterwegs war. Dazu sind die Getränke auch sehr cool!

Twee avonden achter elkaar hebben we hier meer dan lekkere gerechten. Lekker wijntje erbij. 👍👍 Helemaal goed. Inmiddels staat Mauerwerk opgeslagen als een van onze favoriete waar we zeker weer naartoe gaan als we een beetje in de buurt zijn.

Essen, Service und Ambiente einfach super

Ich finde die Preise stehen nicht im Verhältnis zum essen. Es wird ausgefallenes Essen angeboten, dennoch würde ich das nicht mehr bezahlen. Es fehlte einfach der pfiff für den Preis. Der Bürger war sehr schnell sehr durchleuchtet, die Suppe war ein Löffel voll und ein Nachtisch für 8 Euro. Panacottacremr glaube ich und ich glaube es war rote Grütze. Es gibt bessere lokale für das Geld.

Wir waren das erste Mal da..Wir saßen auf der Terrasse, dort ist es wunderschön. Es gibt eine kleine Auswahl an Speisen, die sehr ungewöhnlich sind und nicht überall zu haben sind und eine größere Getränkekarte. Preis/Leistung ist in Ordnung. Sehr netter Service
