Schönes Hotel, gute Lage in der Nähe eines praktischen Park-and-Ride-Platzes für Fahrten nach Köln

Wir sind mit einem Gutscheinheft auf das Lokal aufmerksam geworden. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön, der Empfang war angenehm. Das Essen war von gutem Geschmack und guter Qualität. Der Service war aufmerksam, leider hatten wir eine Verwechslung der Bestellung erhalten. Ohne Problem wurde das gelöst und professionell gehandhabt. Der Außenbereich wirkt hinter dem Haus, wo die Parkplätze sind, etwas unorganisiert. Aber alles in allem, würde ich dort immer wieder Essen gehen.

Mit ein paar Abstrichen( Teppichboden braucht mal ein Update und der Spiegel im Bad der Spiegel war fast Blind) insgesamt o.k. Der Service war nett und gut. Der Preis f.1 Übernachtung von 109.00€ incl.Frühstück war gut.

Jahrelang waren wir Stammgäste des China Restaurants Beijing in Köln Lindenthal. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass die Fam. Yeh nun den Mathildenhof übernommen hat und wir dort wieder die hervorragende chinesische Küche genießen können. Der Fokus liegt auf authentischen Gerichten, wie der Original Peking Ente aber auch die der Szechuan Küche. Neben den klassischen Vorspeisen wie der hausgemachten Frühlingsrolle und der leckeren Peking Gulaschsuppe gibt es jetzt auch so interessante Sachen wie Spicy Wan Tans und aus der Keule gezupftes Hähnchenfleisch pikant angerichtet. Die Hauptgerichte wie knusprige Entenbrust Kung Bao, scharf gebratenes Rindfleisch sowie das Peking Entenmenü haben uns wieder begeistert. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal und gemütlich, man kann auch draußen sitzen. Parkplätze gibt es neben und hinter dem Haus. Die Toiletten sind neu und sehr sauber. Wir werden ab jetzt wieder regelmäßig kommen. Nach dem Motto: Ente gut Alles gut.

Seit langer Zeit mal wieder individuell zubereitetes chinesisches Essen bekommen. Jellyfish, fritierte Aubergine, geplatzer Fisch, Pekong-Ente, verschieden Gemüse und Salate. Alles super lecker und geschmacklich wirklich unterschiedlich, keine Einheitsbasissauce. Auch das Drumherum stimmte, schönes Ambiete, geschmackvoll dekoriert, nicht überladen, der Stil des ehemaligen Gutshofes wurde erhalten. Geschlafen haben wir dort nicht, ist aber eine Option für den nächsten Besuch. Die Zimmer waren ansprechend.

Wir waren heute im Mathildenhof essen und sind begeistert. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr einladend und der Service war von Anfang bis Ende tadellos. Man merkt, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! 5 Sterne! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wir haben nur das Restaurant besucht und waren sehr positiv beeindruckt. Eigentlich ein Zufallsgesuch weil wir gerade in der Nähe waren und dass Restaurant noch nie besucht hatten. Der Name passt nicht unbedingt zur sehr guten chinesischen Küche, die serviert wird. Es gibt auch "gut bürgerliche Küche" im Angebot, aber der chinesische Anteil überreicht. Die Empfehlung des Chefs war am diesem Tag frische, selbstgemachte Frühlingsrolle als Vorschrift, sehr lecker. Auch der Hauptgang Huhn "Kung Pao Art" war super lecker und reichlich. Gerne wieder.

Obwohl ich nur zwei Nächte dir verbracht habe, war es unglaublich schön! Ich empfehle das Hotel und das Essen zu 100%!

Fabelhaftes Essen. Wir bestellen oft zum Liefern und sind begeistert von der Qualität. Wir haben viel probiert und jedes Gericht war sehr gut gewürzt und sehr schmackhaft. Das Essen kommt auch immer heiß und frisch zubereitet an, trotz der Lieferstrecke. Qualitativ nicht mit den typischen Liefer-Restaurants zu vergleichen. Besonders gefreut hat uns die große Auswahl an veganen Optionen, die nicht nur vielfältig, sondern auch richtig, richtig gut sind. Sonderwünsche wegen Allergien werden auch berücksichtigt. Vielen Dank dafür! Wir sind überzeugt und können den Mathildenhof absolut weiterempfehlen.

Best Peking Ente 🦆! Hervorragende Ente. Aber auch das Sichuan Hühnchen 🍗 war astronomisch gut. Wir kommen wieder. Ein echtes Juwel. 😋

War zu einem Seminar hier ohne Übernachtung!

Danke es war ein schönes Wochenende ,uns hat es an nichts gefehlt ,eine der besten Unterkünfte die wir je hatten und wir hatten schon sehr viele ! Wir können uns nur bedanken !!!

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt insgesamt. Die Zimmer waren sauber, ordentlich und funktional eingerichtet. Man merkt, dass hier Wert auf Pflege gelegt wird. Service war freundlich und unkompliziert – An- und Abreise liefen reibungslos. Die Lage ist gut erreichbar und praktisch, je nachdem was man vorhat. Insgesamt ein solides Haus mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Kleine Optimierungspunkte gibt es immer, daher 4 Sterne – aber wir würden wiederkommen.

Das Essen ist um ein Vielfaches besser geworden, seit die Küche zu dem steht, was sie perse kann: „Chinesisch kochen! „ . Wir sind wieder Stammgäste! Weiter so! Tipp: Angebotvielfalt an Weinen steigern !

Unser Besuch im Matildenhof war rundum gelungen. Zu viert haben wir die Original Peking-Ente probiert, die hervorragend zubereitet und unglaublich lecker war. Dazu wurde uns als Überraschung auch noch ein weiteres Gericht mit Black Tiger Garnelen serviert 😋 Auch die anderen Gerichte, wie das argentinische Black Angus Steak und den Teriyaki-Lachs, kann ich wärmstens empfehlen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das überaus freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal, das uns den Abend wirklich angenehm gemacht hat. Die Preise sind sehr fair und die Zutaten schmecken frisch, sind gut zubereitet und lecker abgeschmeckt 👌 Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und rustikal. Küche bietet ihren Gästen sowohl eine sehr gute asiatische Küche, als auch deutsche Klassiker wie Schnitzel und Steaks. Mit etwas Glück kriegt man gegenüber des Restaurants ein Parkplatz. Der Mathildenhof ist ein Restaurant, das wir sicher bald wieder besuchen werden um die weiteren Gerichte von der Karte zu probieren.

Überteuert für den gebotenen Standard. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist veraltet. Das Frühstück ist für diese Hotelkategorie unzureichend (geringe Auswahl, kein zeitnahes Auffüllen). Keine Empfehlung

Ich wurde aufgrund eines geschäftlichen Termines auf das Hotel Mathildenhof aufmerksam. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig ausgestattet und sauber. Das Badezimmer wurde komplett modernisiert und verdient das Prädikat Sehr gut. Die Lage des Hotels ist aufgrund der Nähe zur Stadt sehr gut. Das Hotel hat ein eigenes Restaurant und man muss unbedingt dort essen. Ich habe tatsächlich in meinem Leben noch nirgendwo so eine knusprige, leckere Ente gegessen. Macht weiter so, eure Freundlichkeit und das Essen sind einfach nur umwerfend.

Gerade Essen nach Sinthern bestellt und ich muss sagen, WOW. Super nette Lieferung, mit dem Angebot, alle Speisen in der Küche aufzubauen. Habe ich so noch nie erlebt und fand ich wirklich eine tolle Service Geste. Nach 30 min war die Ente und das Schwein immer noch knusprig. Unfassbar gut, so wie alle anderen Speisen auch. Reis perfekt gegart uvm. überzeugt euch selbst. Vielen vielen Dank. Edit Immer gerne. Wir haben jetzt schon das dritte Mal bestellt und waren jedes Mal absolut begeistert. Hmm, that was a bust... We moved away from Brauweiler in 2019 and missed the WokMeister fried noodles. Now we've heard that the WokMeister kitchen is continuing at the Mathildenhof. Is that true? We paid €62 for four fried noodles with chicken and extra (!) vegetables. That's a lot of money. Unfortunately, the value we received was very meager. The extra vegetables were practically nonexistent. It used to be broccoli, bell peppers, and sprouts. Now it's onions and spring onions. The quality and quantity of the chicken, at €15.50 each, is also debatable. Too bad, that was the last time for us. In response to the reply: I don't know where I argued with rumors... In the last part of my review, I only evaluated the food we ordered and received. And even that was relatively kind. The meat was more than meager and rubbery. The vegetables were practically nonexistent. When ordering a dish called "Fried Noodles with Chicken and Vegetables" and specifically requesting more vegetables, I expect more than just onions! This was – and I stand by this – NOT worth €15.50.

War eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Tolles Ambiente und gutes Essen. Hat meine Meinung bei weitem übertroffen! Als Mapo tofu liebhaber muss man mal hier vorbeikommen und das erleben. Ein Ort an den ich öfters wieder zurückfinden werde.

Ich hatte einen rundum tollen Aufenthalt. Das Personal war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Peking Ente welche ich als essen hatte, die Präsentation des essens war auch top und daher richtig schön angerichtet. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm im restaurant, die Räume sind gepflegt, und wie oben beschrieben der Service war durchweg hilfsbereit

Leider war mein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel sehr enttäuschend. Die Zimmer sind stark in die Jahre gekommen und wirken insgesamt wenig einladend. Auch das Frühstück war sehr mager und qualitativ nicht überzeugend. Das Ambiente im gesamten Haus lässt zu wünschen übrig – nicht einmal im Essbereich läuft leise Hintergrundmusik, was die Atmosphäre noch kühler wirken lässt. Zudem war das Hotel kaum besucht und das Personal spricht nur sehr wenig Deutsch, was die Kommunikation erschwert hat. Insgesamt würde ich hier definitiv nicht noch einmal übernachten.

Ehrlich gesagt sind 85€ für eine Übernachtung eine Frechheit, das Frühstück einer Zumutung bei dem Preis. Zimmer spartanisch und geschmacklos eingerichtet. Nach unserer Weihnachtsfeier habe mich spontan entschieden eine Übernachtung zu buchen , ein totaler Reinfall.

I searched for a long time and finally found good Asian food in our area. I'm quite sure everything else is top-notch too, but the duck Kung Bao style was absolutely fantastic. A truly wonderful evening, superb food, attentive and friendly staff. We're looking forward to the next time.

We ate at the Mathildenhof in Brauweiler today and were very pleasantly surprised. The schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce was delicious and nice and juicy. The Szechuan-style tofu was also excellent – ​​spicy, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, something I've only experienced in China. The fries were fresh and crispy. The service was super friendly and attentive – all in all, a truly wonderful experience and a great addition to the region. We'll be ordering from here again soon, whenever we miss good Asian food.

As a one-night stay, it's fine. Everything is clean, but the furnishings are very dated and quite small. It's also quite noisy, but that was because the street was outside our window, and you could hear the airplanes. The dinner was good and pleasant; you get a free plum liqueur after paying. Unfortunately, the breakfast was the worst I've ever had. There was no one there. You could serve yourself, but there was no choice. Coffee from a thermos, white bread rolls, and three types of sausage. It's a shame, because I love breakfast when I'm staying at a hotel, and at €120 for a double room, you can expect breakfast. Parking was fine. Unfortunately, I won't be staying there again.

Very tasty Asian food. Very friendly staff.

It was quite good. We were two people, and the room wasn't that great. The bathroom couldn't be locked, and the sliding door was partially transparent. There was a stain on the sink that was probably snot or something, which could have been cleaned. The breakfast was spartan but adequate. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, if the rooms were cleaned more thoroughly, this hotel would be recommended.

The warm and hospitable family provided us with a wonderful stay in this historic and very charming hotel. The food also impresses with its excellent quality and delicious taste. By the way, there are very good connections to Cologne city center. We would love to come back!

We were asked to take a seat even though it was still officially closed. It was a spontaneous visit. We received very friendly service; the staff were still eating, so everything took a little longer, which didn't bother us since it was still officially closed. The food was delicious, and I found the bar area very quaint and beautifully decorated. We would come again.

We had dinner at the Matildenhof yesterday. The reception and service were very friendly and attentive. The drinks arrived quickly, and we placed our order. The menu offers a great Chinese selection alongside classic dishes. We opted for Kung Bao Duck and Thai Red Curry with Chicken. For starters, we had the garlic and cucumber salad and Peking soup. What can we say: It was simply delicious! We couldn't fault it and will definitely come back. We've also tried the delivery service before, and everything was perfect there, too. We'd happily recommend the Matildenhof.

We only ate in the restaurant. Especially when the weather is nice, sitting on the terrace feels like sitting in a lovely beer garden. The service was super attentive and friendly. We all ordered Asian dishes. The vegetables and rice were really delicious and fresh! The breaded meat and fish were probably frozen at some point, but they were still delicious. There are hardly any restaurants these days that don't do this ;) Overall, highly recommended.

The food and drinks here are delicious! The chef and all the service staff are exceptionally friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Mathildenhof. From the very first moment, you feel warmly welcomed – the staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. The rooms are modern, well-furnished, and very clean.

The Mathildenhof impresses with good food and equally good service – what more could you want? The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff friendly and attentive. An all-around successful visit that we'd happily recommend!

We enjoyed lunch on site with our youngest and ate, among other things, the New Zealand fillets. Highly recommended. The rustic furnishings are harmonious and rustic.

The food is very tasty, and the price-value ratio is adequate. I had a special request for food and soft drinks, which they fulfilled perfectly! The waiter is very nice and helpful (he deserves a tip!)😁 And the place itself is very cozy.

Was here for lunch today and can only recommend it. The main course came quickly and was very tasty (fried rice with chicken). The dessert (Kaiserschmarren with vanilla ice cream) was also delicious and beautifully presented. Gladly again.

Breakfast was completely sufficient :-) The eggs were freshly cooked and were very tasty. The restaurant is rustically furnished and has a very pleasant atmosphere. We would come again.

We spontaneously stopped by the Mathildenhof for dinner after a stroll in the abbey park. They serve refreshing rosé/beer, a rustic atmosphere, and good home-cooked food. It was very busy, and the service was friendly. We'd be happy to return. Highly recommended!

A wonderful restaurant! The Wiener Schnitzel was perfect – golden brown, crispy and tender, exactly how it should be. The salad was fresh and crunchy, the dressing was delicious. The furnishings are rustic and have a cozy charm. Service – attentive, friendly and warm. We'll definitely be back!

I can't rate the rooms, but the food is excellent! Addendum 1/17/25: Unfortunately it didn't last or I was unlucky: The pork medallions were meat wrapped in bacon that was somehow reminiscent of Kassler - totally oversalted, the mushroom sauce couldn't hide it, and my senior plate was completely missing the vegetables. The chicken slices in mushroom sauce with tagliatelle were just as salty. As always, the very friendly service was more than perfect given the high number of visitors on Friday evening, and even the "painful" desserts couldn't save that. Too bad.

We had vouchers through Groupon, goose leg, breast and lamb were absolutely fantastic, everything was delicious, excellent service, we felt really comfortable, very tasty, would go back again and again.

I was at the Mathildenhof again and surprise, the bathrooms in the first rooms have been renovated. 2. Surprise Matthias Yeh, who has had the China Restaurant Beijing in Cologne-Lindenthal for 20 years, will be offering Chinese specialties again from January. We were able to sample dinner at a family celebration. Among other things, original Peking duck, carved at the table.

Simply perfect, we had a 3 course menu (goose), TOP from start to finish. The service is great, the kitchen is great... what more could you want.

First of all, I regret that I cannot give such an excellent review. Four of us had dinner there last night. We had to pre-order the food when making the reservation. 1x roast goose, 1x leg of goose, 1x rack of lamb, 1x lamb fillet. That's ok, I understand it too. Basically, I'm happy about all the good reviews because I'm emotionally attached to the Mathildenhof. My father-in-law helped design and build the guest rooms back then. We were there again for the first time after the change of tenant. At 5 p.m., when there was hardly anyone there except us. The service was very good, but unfortunately the food wasn't that great. The goose dishes had a dumpling, 2 to a maximum of 3 tablespoons of red cabbage and no sauce whatsoever. My loin was good, but pretty well done, my vegetable side dish was tasty, plentiful, but not even lukewarm. The lamb dishes had a minni bowl with about 2 to a maximum of 3 tablespoons of potato gratin, the creme brulee consisted of about one and a half tablespoons and was not crunchy on top. The only thing that wasn't lukewarm was the beef broth, which was nice and hot. If the restaurant had been full and it was towards the end of opening time, I might have found excuses for it, but it was only 5 p.m. and still empty. It's a shame, oh yes, I gave both men some of my meat and my gratin so that they still had a little more to eat The manageable plates were not men's portions.
