We had a delicious meal in the Matildenhof restaurant for a seventieth birthday. The atmosphere is very cozy and there is pleasant music playing in the background. All you can say about the service is top, very friendly, accommodating and attentive, that's 5 out of 5 points. The food was of the best quality and taste, and the plates were nice and hot. Portion sizes are perfect. Would happily recommend again and without reservation. Thanks for the great evening.

I recently ate at Mathildenhof and loved my steak. It was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy and grilled to perfection. The spices were well balanced and underlined the taste of the meat wonderfully. The fries were also excellent. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and inviting. I can only recommend Mathildenhof and am already looking forward to my next visit!

We were here for lunch at midday. Very friendly service, great food - good portions, you'll definitely be full. Pleasant jazz music in the background, rustic decor. The benches are a bit too small for me as a tall person, but we were offered a place right at the entrance to the dining room, a small table with two comfortable chairs and a table lamp - that will definitely be the place we will reserve in the future our return visits.

Stayed 1 night, was ok, not more not less. Positive, size of room, size of bed, noice, parking. Negativt, food was high and low, service was slow, english poor, bathroom very small, breakfast poor, coffee really not good. Will we be back? No.

Edit 8/9/24: Unfortunately the kitchen is being changed. There is currently a summer menu with selected dishes that didn't convince me at all. I don't want to paint completely black, so I'll wait and see how it develops and leave the stars as is. Food is great and the staff is very nice! Clear recommendation. The incorporated remains of the old masonry create a classy ambience. I can't rate the hotel, we were only there to eat.

Four of us visited exclusively in the restaurant. We were served excellently and with great friendliness. The food, for us vegetable soup with coconut milk, steak with fresh chanterelles and vegetables and fries, as well as rack of lamb, were simply great! I stayed in the hotel for a week, the rooms are a bit older but the price/performance ratio is absolutely right. Unfortunately I was only able to visit the restaurant once because it was on summer break. The food was fantastic, the prices were good! The waitresses and the boss are absolutely friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for cheap accommodation with a delicious restaurant, you have come to the right place.

We came specifically from Königswinter to enjoy the Mathildenhof's excellent cuisine again! It was awesome! Steak! Salad! And especially the Kaiserschmarrn! All in all, an excellent experience! Just the atmosphere in the restaurant, the furnishings... you immediately feel very comfortable. TOP!

Yesterday we went to the Mathildenhof again for lunch. There was fresh asparagus. The asparagus was of excellent quality and tasted great. The side dishes themselves too. We like the rustic charm of this restaurant and the always friendly and approachable nature of the owners. Unfortunately, we can't write anything about the hotel as we only made a short stop there on one of our bike tours in the Cologne area. We really appreciate the owners, who we have known for many years through their previous restaurant in Cologne-Lindenthal

I don't know if it was just bad luck, but the food was very disappointing, the wrong food was delivered, all the dishes were very dry, the house plate was very small and there were tiny portions of fries and a side dish. Unfortunately the meat was very tough and tasted like it had been warmed up. Complaints about wrong food were not understood 4 times until someone else came. Very unfortunate

We were there for dinner on Father's Day. Everything tasted great and the people were very friendly. The best steak I've had in a long time and the rack of lamb was also excellent.

Good and free parking in the courtyard or across the street, friendly staff, and a simple breakfast. The room I stayed in was a bit outdated and I didn't like it very much. The slanted ceilings weren't ideal for my height either. I won't be staying at this hotel again.

The food we got yesterday was totally over salted. The cevapcici were not homemade. That was the worst food we ever got from Mathildenhof. We know the food from earlier times and it was great. Unfortunately I put everything in the bin.

We stayed here once. Our room had the charm of a hospital. The beds stood individually along a wall. The bathroom was so narrow that you were squeezed between the shower and the heater on the toilet. The faucet was torn off and was hanging from the water inlets on the sink. The three of us had 1 small guest towel and 2 hand towels, no shower towel available, upon request we were given a third towel. The mattresses were good and the bed linen was clean and smelled pleasantly fresh. Otherwise the room was clean, although very uncomfortable. Once the door to the room couldn't be locked and once it couldn't be opened. When we arrived we were told that we couldn't eat in the hotel itself or get drinks at the bar because the owner/employee (?) was alone and his family had become self-employed elsewhere and no staff could be found. Despite everything, he was very nice and tried hard. The hotel itself is also very, very noisy and the furnishings are getting old. There is good WiFi. During breakfast we were able to see the restaurant premises. The rest of the old building is very quaint and cozy. We were very disappointed with the breakfast buffet. Muesli and cornflakes were on the table, but unfortunately there was no milk available. There was coffee, no tea or alternatives (for children) A few slices of cold cuts sausage and 1 type of sliced ​​cheese. No egg. It wasn't refilled. Personal conclusion: It worked like this for an overnight stay. In the end it was too expensive with such a breakfast. I wish the nice owner/employee (?) that he can find staff again and that this great hotel can "shine" again

We stayed here for one night on business. The building is historic, very cool and extremely cozy. The Mathildenhof team is friendly, attentive and never intrusive. We felt very comfortable from the start. After checking in we went straight to the restaurant for dinner. This team can do meat! Steaks simply divine. All dishes were very tasty and not overpriced. Starter, main course, dessert, drinks... everything was great. Thank you for everything.

I celebrated my big birthday at Mathildenhof and it was great. I don't have the words to describe my satisfaction and gratitude. From the first conversation everything was perfect. The staff was very, very friendly, gave me suggestions and tips, and at the same time responded to and fulfilled my special requests. Me and my guests were thrilled by the incredibly good food, international cuisine and the quality. For me it was a perfect birthday celebration. Thank you very much for that. I wish you much success for the future.

High ski hut quality here. It has something in itself, but there was room for improvement. Reception was short and impersonal. Tiles in the room were stuck with duct tape. No, don't do that. Toilet was so loose that it came out of place. Snitzel super tasty. Unfortunately you had to order the lettuce separately. And this one had brown edges. Breakfast so meager. This really could be better. Come on.

Stay elsewhere if you don't want black mold in your shower. We didn't stay a single night. The owner refunded 2 of 3 nights.

Wir haben Gans gegessen. Die Bedienung wusste nicht was es für Beilagen gibt. Auf der Speicherkarte stand nichts davon. Erst auf Nachfrage bei der Chefin bekamen wir Auskunft. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Aber Gans haben wir schon besser gegessen. Wir werden wieder kommen und etwas anderes essen. Mal sehen wie es dann ist

Wir besuchen öfter das Restaurant, schon seit Jahren und auch als es noch von den Vorbesitzern betrieben wurde. Die Qualität ist, wie gewohnt, sehr gut. Es sind neben den bekannten kroatischen Speisen auch chinesische Spezialitäten hinzugekommen, die ebenfalls vorzüglich sind.

Sehr freundliche liebevolle Bedienung und eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Komme gerne wieder.

Leckeres Essen und nettes Ambiente. Parkplätze direkt im Hof.

Wir haben hier zu dritt übernachtet für 119 euro zusammen mit Frühstück. Es sind Parkplätze am Haus kostenlos verfügbar. Die Betten und die Sanitäranlagen waren sauber und ordentlich. Allerdings sind die Zimmer sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Wände und Teppich sind stark abgenutzt und bräuchten mal einen neuen Anstrich. Wenn man mehr Geld für die Übernachtung benötigt hätte, wäre das ärgerlich gewesen. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Es gab Kaffee und Tee, der O-Saft war bereits leer und wurde nicht aufgefüllt, ebenfalls Wasser war verbraucht und wurde auch nicht nachgefüllt. Es gab Brötchen, zwei Sorten Wurst und Käse, Marmelade und Honig. Also so, das man Frühstücken kann, aber nichts besonderes. Der Betreiber muss auch in der Zeit gewechselt haben, hier gibt es nur asiatische Küche. Für eine Nacht zum Schlafen und wenn man nicht gut bei Kasse ist geht es schon mal dort zu schlafen aber mehr als 100 Euro für Übernachtung drei Personen würde ich aufgrund der Ausstattung und Zustand nicht ausgeben. Hotel liegt direkt an Hauptstraße.

Waren am Sonntag 10.09.23 im Mathildenhof essen, es sind die Besitzer vom Wok Meister aus der Ehrenfriedstraße 42, Pulheim Brauweiler, wir hatten zweimal die Wan Tan Suppe, einmal Schweinemedaillon mit Champignon-Rahmsauce und einmal Ente Kung Bao serviert, mit Gemüse und Reis, beide Gerichte waren sehr lecker, so wie man das von vorher kennt und ausreichend, Personal wie zu vor freundliche und zu vorkommenden. Sind froh das WOK Meister wieder im Ort ist, sind sehr zufrieden. Danke

Das beste Rumpsteak im Erftkreis! Ich kenne mich wirklich sehr gut mit Steaks aus. Das war das erste Mal in meinem Leben, dass ich zwei Rumpsteaks hintereinander bestellt habe und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Auf jeden Fall nach dem „Spezial-Pfeffer“ fragen. Wer Steaks liebt, sollte im Mathildenhof essen gehen. Schön wäre es, wenn es vielleicht einen „Cut des Monats“ geben könnte. Der Service ist überdurchschnittlich aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind direkt am Haus vorhanden. Besuch am 18.06.: Ente und Lady Cut Teller waren leider nix. Bei meiner Frau war das Fleisch tot gegrillt und bei meiner Schwägerin war das Steak Medium rare. Sorry, aber ihr habt auch beim Schnitzel gestern nachgelassen.

Verbrachten eine Nacht im Hotel. Als Mittagessen gab es im Hof die asiatische Woche. Meine Frau bekam eine Auswahl diverser asiatischer Speisen, selbst nahm ich eine Schnitzel zu mir. Beide Speisen waren gut. Das Zimmer ist schon ein wenig gealtert. Aber ein sehr gutes Bett. Zum Frühstück war ein Buffet aufgebaut, welches eigentlich keine Wünsche übrig lies. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Heute das neue Angebot vom Restaurant probiert. Asiatischer Mittagstiisch. Man bekommt für 10,00 € ein leckeres Mittagessen. Man darf sich aussuchen was auf dem Teller landet. Sehr lecker. Sehr zu Empfehlen. Das Hotel kann ich leider nicht bewerten, da nicht besucht.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen auf jeden Fall in Ordnung. Anscheinend haben sie nicht so oft Gäste zum Übernachten, das Frühstück war recht spontan und bei der telefonischen Reservierung wusste man ebenfalls nicht weiter obwohl alle Zimmer frei wären. Leider sieht man an den Zimmern, das hier etwas Zuneigung fehlt und dringend mal das Eine oder Andere renoviert werden muss. Die Zimmer haben auf Grund des Altbaus auf jeden Fall Charm und Potential. Parkplätze waren ebenfalls in ausreichender Menge vorhanden.

Herzliche Gastgeber, leckeres Essen. Der Mittagstisch im Hof ist sehr zu empfehlen!
