Really nice place, delicious empanadas and friendly service! The pisco sour is amazing :)

Very nice little “shop” with good food. We tested the tapas well. All of our orders were very tasty except for one, which was ok. Service was little, but sufficient and therefore completely fine. Unfortunately, our seat in the back “compartment” was not as “comfortable” as the front area, where regular guests were already sitting.

Excellent place to go to eat. We went several times and the food always comes out quickly, very delicious and the service is very good. My favorites are: chimichurri, tortilla, tumaca bread and ham croquettes 🙌🏼

Excellent food, great atmosphere and lovely people

I got a desire for good red wine and small plates and was not disappointed. I had two tapas plates, a cocktail, and a glass of Argentinian wine. Just enough for a single person. The beef was cooked well, the sauce herbaceous and flavorful. The marinated eggplant and mixed vegetables provided a good counterbalance. The service was very good, attentive without being annoying. Ambiance is very nice chill with good Spanish indie pop-rock. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone wanting Spanish tapas. And I’d definitely come back again

The quality of the food can be appreciated in all the tapas and empanadas we tried, it's like eating at home but even better! The cocktails are from another planet, delicious! A place to spend an extraordinary evening, highly recommended.

One of my favorite places in Berlin. The perfect combination of a small food menu and good drinks variety. The cocktails are really good and they match perfectly with their Tapas. Then you have also the option of delicious empanadas. The cheesecake is awesome. You can’t go wrong with their options.

Great discovery, very delicious food, where you can eat Spanish-Argentine tapas (tortilla, croquettes and bravas, with homemade empanadas and chimichurri). The cocktails are delicious and the service was very friendly. The place is nice and cozy and has a small terrace.

Service was very friendly, although slightly overwhelmed as it was very busy. The dishes we ordered came within an hour, which is ok if everyone shares everything anyway. If not, that's stupid. The food was delicious except for the dry sad salad. Unfortunately, this is also the problem with all tapas shops: far too expensive. As a man, you need at least 3 of the small dishes to fill you up, and these cost €10-17 (potatoes are a little cheaper). Everyone can calculate for themselves how much money they have to spend here... Draft beer was tasty, but at €5.50 for 0.5l it was a hefty price.

Small but nice tapas restaurant. I can confirm that you should reserve in advance. There are not many seats and the restaurant is very popular. There are now also German-speaking staff. The map is clear, but absolutely sufficient. The food was very tasty and was served fairly quickly by the very friendly staff. The prices are reasonable. In short - absolute recommendation!

"Well, if you're looking for a place that makes you feel like you've spent half your monthly budget on your meal, then you've found it! The food was okay, but nothing to remember. The pricing could be described as avant-garde - 7 tiny prawns and a solitary slice of baguette for the hefty price of 12 euros. The prawns were so expensive that they probably have their own tax advisor. The ambience could certainly be described as picturesque, if you weren't right would have to sit next to a refrigerator and a floating electrical outlet. It was almost as if the interior designer had said, 'Let's convert the restaurant into an authentic living room.' And the wait staff? Well, she only spoke English, which was fine for us, but I imagine for some guests it might be a real challenge to order at a table without consulting a language app. Overall "It was an experience I don't have to go through again. Two stars because at least I have a funny anecdote to tell my friends about."

Great choice of tapas, vegetarian and vegan, too. I really liked patatas bravas. The service was friendly and helpful. Also, try sangria, the pitcher is great value for money. Cards accepted.

The service was very friendly but other than that our experience was rather mediocre. The tapas were too pricey for the size and quality (12eur for 6 pieces of shrimp, 15 for 5 pieces of meat etc). Even if you spend more than 20-25 euros per person, you won’t get full. They still gave us tasty shots at the end which was nice. But overall, I would not recommend it.

Surprising & accommodating Here you can confidently try new things. The service is very friendly and accommodating. It's fun to try out the different tapas and many are good. The chimichuri with beef is highly recommended!

OK food and good service. Not many options to choose but all of them were OK. Nothing we had was uniquely tasty but all decent. Same goes for the vibes. It felt a little too generic from decoration, to lights, and to the menu. Nice that they are taking online reservations.

The staff is amazing, so welcoming and friendly, the place is gorgeous and entirely built by the team (they even have a treehouse!!), the food & cocktails delicious, and the vibe really special. It's great to share tapas with friends while sipping on a cocktail! Highly recommended!!

War sehr laut, aber das ist in Berlin normal. Essen war fantastisch. Wir hatten drei Tapas und eine Enchilada und alles war unfassbar lecker.

I was very hyped for some latin tapas. Service was very kind and fast. Food was… tiny!! And for the price of 15€ you get 5 small pieces of meat on bread and 5€ for ONE empanada. Seating situation was hard on pure wood and deco seemed like thrown together.

Absolutely sublime! Had a little wait for a table and it was so worth it. Just being in there was great as there are so many details. Had dinner here with some friends I got to know in South America. It was the perfect place for our reunion. The empanadas and tapas are super delicious, my personal favourite is the choclo empanada with aioli. The interior design is absolutely beautiful and cosy. Staff was lovely and attentive. For a Friday evening it is recommended to make a reservation in advance. Muchas gracias!

Nothing special. Very limited food menu and hard to find something catchy. The taste is nothing better than any other tapas bars. Basil smash was so good. So one star for the cocktail and another for the good and friendly service. For 2 tapas, 3 espanadas and 2 cocktails, we paid 90 bucks. It is not worth it. Don’t be fool, drink your coctail then leave.

I can say it's one of the best places I've been in Berlin, not just once. It's nice to go in and feel the good vibes from the people working there, they laugh, they have fun, they are very polite and make you feel at home. Such a great team :) The food is delicious, when you taste it you know they are using good quality ingredients and stuff. It's worth to try everything they have on the menu. My favourites are empanadas and Chimuchurri. Not to mention they give you some great popcorn with your beer (or whatever you wanna drink). I'll go back for sure 😊

MATANGA gets from me personally a solid 5star review! I rarely go to traditional Spanish places, because tapas are very specific. Yet, MATANGA nailed it! Decent Spanish tapas and I mean it!

Ich kenne und liebe die Matanga Empanadas und die bezaubernden Innhaber vom Wochenmarkt am Kollwitzplatz und wollte unbedingt auch mal das dazugehörige Restaurant ausprobieren! Es hat sich wirklich sehr gelohnt! Alle Gerichte sind unfassbar lecker und von toller Qualität. Die Drinks stehen dem Essen in nichts nach und haben alles perfekt abgerundet.Es war ein toller Abend, den ich jederzeit gerne wiederholen werde!

Wir gehen hier so gerne her. Eine interessante Kombination aus Bar und Restaurant, alles ist hausgemacht, was natürlich einen gewissen Preis hat, den wir aber gerne zahlen. Das Essen & die Getränke sind immer sehr frisch, lecker und sind toll angerichtet. Zudem gibt es auch eine klitzekleine Spielecke für Kinder (das Baumhaus) und außerdem ist man sehr kinderfreundlich, wir wohnen in der Straße und wir werden immer freundlich begrüßt. Auch erwähnt werden sollte das tolle Ambiente. Die Innendekorationen scheinen komplett handgemacht, von einem sehr fähigen Grafikdesigner mit viel Liebe für kleinste Details gemacht worden zu sein. Da hüpft mein Designerherz besonders hoch. Mein Mann hat den Chef mal am Flughafen in Málaga getroffen, dort wurde eine Sangria-Fortbildung gemacht. Hier wird Service gelebt, auch wenn es mal stressiger ist. Zudem wird auf Intoleranzen Rücksicht genommen, was für mich persönlich besonders wichtig ist. Ein toller Ort!

Lijkt alsof je een hidden gem gevonden hebt als je er bent maar waarschijnlijk redelijk bekend. Zeer snelle en goede service. De suggestie cocktail Tio Coco was zeer goed net als alle tapas maar de Chimichurri stak er nog net extra boven uit.

Wir waren gestern das erste Mal dort und waren vom entspannten Ambiente, der Gastfreundschaft und nicht zuletzt dem wirklich tollen und qualitativ hochwertigem Essen begeistert. Man merkt schon bei der Anrichtung der Speisen, dass hier nicht einfach "abgefertigt" wird, sondern Jemand wirklich möchte, dass sich die Gäste wohlfühlen. War auf jeden Fall nicht unser letzter Besuch. Danke für den schönen Abend und das super leckere Essen.

Buitengewoon in smaak, inrichting en bediening, daarom 5 sterren. Als je in Berlijn bent, en je houdt van lekkere tapas, moet je hier een keer eten! Met een groep van 7 mensen, 2 kinderen, 5 volwassenen, een tafel vol met tapas besteld. Omdat alles zo lekker was, nog een tweede ronde besteld. Daardoor bijna alle gerechten gehad en allemaal waren ze lekker! Omdat we zo veel gegeten hadden, was er weinig plek voor een dessert. Met 4 personen de cheesecake gedeeld: die is ook gevaarlijk lekker. Eigenlijk wil je die helemaal niet delen, maar het is wel beter voor de lijn. Het was een Cheesecake zoals een Cheesecake behoort te zijn: lekker machtig en vol van smaak. Met een beetje jam en slagroom er naast. Inrichting is erg leuk, met de grote ronde tafel waar we met z'n allen ruim konden zitten. De muren en zelfs de wc is leuk ingericht. Maar van het kamertje waar je met een ladder in moet, ga je glimlachen. Dat zijn de extra's waarmee je die 5e ster verdient. Niet alleen de gerechten zijn met liefde gemaakt (en daarom smaakt het zo goed), maar ook de dame die onze bestelling op nam was erg liefdevol en niks was te gek: alles kon. Toppunt was dat ze haar vest te leen aanbood, toen een van ons die kwijt was. Uiteindelijk bleek dit niet nodig, want hij lag nog in het bakje van de leen-fiets waarmee we naar het restaurant gekomen waren. Pareltje, verstopt in de grote stad Berlijn.

Ne manquez pas d'aller déguster un cocktail avec une sélection de tapas faits maison si vous êtes à Berlin. Les tapas sans exception sont excellents, frais, inventifs. Les cocktails sont originaux et bien tassés. Pour ne rien gâcher, la déco du lieu est vraiment insolite, chaque objet a son histoire et tous portent la griffe de l'artiste Rylsee. De plus le personnel est très sympathique. Tout pour plaire !

We tried almost every cocktails and tapas in the menu. The drinks were okay, the food was so so, not that tasty, small portion as it is supposed to be and in the expensive side. The service was great, nice and quick, they also served us with free shots when we were done. Won't go again but worth a try.
