Very friendly staff. We got a table spontaneously. The food was also very tasty, although the portions could be a bit larger.

We visited again, this time as a group of four, and once again we were all very satisfied. It was also interesting and stimulating to chat with the owner, who is not intrusive but very open and interested in the well-being of his guests.

The Masala Project is highly recommended! You can immediately taste that everything here is fresh, homemade, and prepared with a lot of effort, care, and passion. I'm writing this review with stomach cramps, which I've had since the day after my visit. We rarely eat out, and since then, I haven't eaten anything exceptional. Of course, it's always difficult to prove something like that, but for me, the answer to where I got it is obvious. Regardless, I'd like to share my general opinion of this restaurant: Where the good reviews come from is a mystery to me. This was the worst Indian food in terms of taste. Indian cuisine is known for its spices. But here, the sauces simply tasted of nothing. Just like tomato sauce and skimped on spices. The butter chicken has hardly any nuts. We ordered different dishes, but they all tasted more or less the same. And everyone said it didn't taste of anything. And the price/performance ratio is also poor, considering the quantity and quality you get. On top of that, the owner is very pushy and constantly came to our table to ask if we needed anything, even though we repeatedly said no. We constantly felt like we were being watched. By the way, I was the only one who had lamb. My wife had butter chicken. Since then, my wife and I have only eaten the same thing at home. So, there aren't really many options as to where I could have gotten this food poisoning. I've had stomach cramps with diarrhea and nausea for almost four days now. Great.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for me. Cravings for Acha North Indian food would definitely be fulfilled, that's definite. And above all, hospitality of the staff, is beyond words. Ghar se door, poori ghar vaali vibe milii.

Unfortunately, our visit was anything but pleasant. The service was chaotic and uncoordinated – despite clear communication, our order was taken incorrectly and we received the wrong food. The staff were rude and unhelpful when we asked questions. Especially annoying: The bill showed dishes we had neither ordered nor received. Transparency, attentiveness, and basic hospitality – all of these were unfortunately lacking here. We definitely won't be returning.

The worst Indian food I've ever eaten. There was nothing fresh or cooked, it tasted bland and like it came from a can. We felt like the owner was constantly watching us, which was creepy, and the restaurant seemed pretty run-down. Add to that the relatively high price for the poor-quality food and drinks. The bill was marked "NO INVOICE," so it was more like a list of the order with prices, so it's safe to assume that they're making money here bypassing the government. People, don't go here and find a decent restaurant; you can get better Indian food!

I am afraid I need to revise my first feedback for this place as experience verified my first few impressions regarding food, staff and their general professionalism. I dont think I will be coming back or recommend to others. We were a larger group and the staff was not only utterly confused about the orders and upset about us being 34 and not 36 people (or something) but also angry and unpleasant to interact with which makes them a complete no-go for me.

We have already visited many restaurants, but unfortunately the food here was not convincing. For a full hour the staff was visibly overwhelmed, which was also noticeable in the service. Last week the four of us went to the Masala Project for the first time and unfortunately we weren't that thrilled. We had different dishes and all of them were more or less unseasoned, my butter chicken tasted like chicken in tomato sauce, no trace of Indian spices, the other dishes were similar. Only naan and roti were convincing. I found it very unpleasant when, when I asked whether it was tasty (after the meal, no one asked in between), I said that I had eaten better Indian food before, and the boss explained that I should have said that if the food was supposed to be seasoned, it wasn't his fault and I left offended. Firstly, you could also be asked how it is customary elsewhere, and he probably meant spiciness, but that wouldn't have made the food any more aromatic, then it would have been chicken in spicy tomato sauce. We definitely won't come back.

Even though everything was reserved, we still got 2 seats at a good table. The service and general friendliness were very pleasant. The food was appetizingly prepared and the chicken and lamb tasted excellent. My companion was given a green paste for sharpening, which is a good solution for regulating the spiciness of a dish yourself. There is also an extensive menu for vegetarians and vegans. All in all we were more than satisfied.

I wish we could rate the restaurant well, unfortunately that's not the case. We came on a Friday around 7:00 p.m. First we were rudely turned away because we hadn't reserved a table in advance. Then the service said that we should please come back in 20 minutes. So 20 minutes later we were back in the restaurant, this time we were even offered a table. We then sat at the table and waited in vain for a menu or service... for a full 25 minutes. The waitress looked at us from time to time, but didn't bother to take our order. Meanwhile, several other person who came after us were served instead of us. We then left and left our money somewhere else…

I have a new favorite restaurant! Very friendly owners and great cuisine. Haven't eaten such good Indian food in a long time. There were four of us and we had different dishes and they were all very tasty. Regardless of whether it was a starter, main course or dessert, there was nothing to complain about. The nan bread and dips are also simply a treat for the palate. Keep it up, we'll definitely be back.

Food is not bad. It’s on averaged level as you can expect from any Indian restaurant. But the waiter kept some changes without asking us. How much tips we give should be decided by us, not directly kept by the waiters.

Yesterday, Saturday, we were at the “Masala Project” again. It was again very tasty and we had a lovely evening. The starters were brought to the table very promptly after ordering. And the tasty main courses didn't take long to arrive either. The owner and his family are always very friendly and attentive. The boss likes to chat and joke with his guests, something that doesn't happen that often in the catering industry anymore. Because I like spicy food, he gave me 3 more “spicy peppers”. The food was really good. There is a very large selection of vegetarian dishes too. The side dishes and extras were also available in a wide variety. We were always asked about new drinks. As part of our Christmas dinner, I found the evening very successful overall, I liked the service staff very much and I found the atmosphere to be pleasant. The food tasted good and was reasonable in terms of waiting time and quantity. The selection was enormous. Toilet was clean. Ambiance, yes, it was just a very high, large open space. All in all, tip top, I recommend it and would eat there again.

I often eat Indian food and go to Indian restaurants, but this restaurant was the worst Indian food I have eaten in my entire life and I don't recommend it to you at all. All Indian restaurants cook fresh bread, which this restaurant didn't have, and my first choice from the menu was lamb biryani. The waitress said that our lamb biryani was not like Indian food so I should choose another dish which is the best dish in the restaurant as suggested by the waitress I agreed but it didn't taste good at all, the rice was uncooked and without oil and the meat was undercooked and tough. It was the first and last time in this restaurant. Very expensive and tasteless 👎

After 40 minutes we got up and left. Service was completely overwhelmed and at this point a good half of the tables were occupied. Absolute disappointment!

Where should I start? The food is great. Any lover of good naan and delicious Indian food should not miss Masala Project. There is a lot of love and pride in the food served here. The vegetarian paneer dishes and the garlic naan are particularly recommended. In terms of price performance you can't complain. The owners are also very nice. I'd love to come back!
