We went to this café and had made a reservation by phone three days in advance. Unfortunately, after an hour and a half, we were asked to leave because the table was supposedly already taken. The reason given was that there are only a limited number of tables – but honestly, if you reserve in advance, you expect to be able to keep your seat for as long as you were told when you made the reservation. The whole experience left a rather rude and unprofessional impression. It's a shame, because the café itself is actually quite nice, but the way they treat guests who reserve in advance was disappointing. PS: Before we even ordered, we were told to please leave by 8 pm, so the waiter didn't know that we only wanted "some drinks." 😀

A lovely restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and a rotating menu. The staff have all been very friendly so far, and the food is delicious.

The restaurant impressed us all around – the food was excellent, freshly prepared, and tasted truly top-notch. The service was also extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous, without being intrusive. We immediately felt welcome and well looked after. One minor criticism, however, concerns the room temperature: Over the course of the evening, it got increasingly warmer until it was finally quite hot. This was probably due to the fact that the pizza oven was right next to our table. A bit better ventilation or more distance between the tables and the oven would certainly help. Apart from that, the visit was absolutely successful – we would gladly come back.

A highly recommended restaurant in Weingarten. The pizza selection is very large, and there are seasonal dishes such as pizza with asparagus or pumpkin. The service was always friendly. Only some of the dishes are fairly priced. A pizza for €16 is quite expensive.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. However, the food is overpriced. You have to pay a lot for extras, and the food isn't easy to share without paying extra. Otherwise, the location is perfect and there are plenty of free tables and chairs. They have delicious hot drinks.

I had the burger, and the meat was just terrible. It was almost impossible to cut and was like chewing gum. Honestly, just use regular local beef instead of those pre-pressed store-bought patties. What a shame.

We've been to Martinus for breakfast twice now, and both times it was a great atmosphere and amazing service. The food is fantastic. I especially want to highlight the service. 5 stars for very friendly and attentive service, an antipasti starter that is unparalleled in both quantity and quality, and for the linguine gamberoni – pasta cooked to perfection, not just 3-4 token shrimp, in a delicious sauce. My wife's pizza – an exceptionally delicious base and very generously topped! Thank you for the wonderful tasting experience. Please keep it that way!!!

Great restaurant in a beautiful location! Definitely make a reservation; we were there at sunset – it was absolutely beautiful! The homemade lemonades were super refreshing, and our dishes (pizza and antipasti plates) were also really delicious. The service was very friendly, and the food arrived surprisingly quickly. The prices are slightly high, but the quality is palpable.

We celebrated our parents' diamond wedding anniversary at Restaurant Martinus – a very special occasion for our family. With 25 guests, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch that we will remember for a long time. Irmi and her team looked after us with such warmth, attention, and professionalism – for that, we are deeply grateful. The lovingly set tables, the delicious food, and the smooth running of the event made this day perfect for all of us. You can feel the passion and heart that goes into the work here. This was my first time visiting the restaurant (a regular get-together with work colleagues, 8 people). The welcome and service were incredibly friendly; I immediately felt welcome. The entire restaurant smelled of pizza – it made me hungry right away. The pizza was excellent; a bit more expensive, but I'm happy to pay that. That day, the weather suddenly improved, and there were far too few people waiting for service. I don't think anyone could have predicted that; the service tried to get everything done as quickly as possible and was always friendly. Thank you for the friendly service and the lovely evening! Keep up the good work! I'd love to come back.

Definitely 5 stars for the pizza chef, the service staff, and the ambiance. I recently ate at 'Martinus' and had a #PizzaMargherita🍕. The dough was light and airy, even the crust was fluffy... A very well-kept restaurant. The price-performance ratio for the fresh ingredients is perfectly fine. It's NOT expensive as some say in the reviews. I'm Italian and I know... what makes a pizza with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I recommend the restaurant not just 100%, but a billion%. I'll be back. I took a photo of the pizza, but I can't upload it here. That's weird. I'll be back. 👍🙂

We were a group of seven, and I had chosen this restaurant. Unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn't impressive. For example, the oven-baked vegetables in the sea bream were overcooked, and the pizza toppings and side salad were also below expectations. However, the pizza dough was perfect, as always. The service was very good, and the atmosphere remains simply fantastic.

The ambiance in the square in front of the basilica is beautiful. I ordered a glass of tap water for my young son and received an expensive bottled water. The pizza was really delicious—perhaps a bit too much mozzarella.

Great restaurant right next to the basilica. We arrived spontaneously shortly after 5:00 p.m. and quickly secured a table for a later reservation. We enjoyed delicious homemade lemonades and two very tasty dishes, all of which were served to us very quickly by a very friendly server. The prices are slightly on the high side, but this reflects the ambiance and, above all, the quality of the food and drinks. We'll definitely be back!

Martinus is idyllically located next to the basilica. There's also outdoor seating in front of the restaurant, where it gets quite warm in the summer, and in the basilica's courtyard, which is very cozy and homey. The food is incredibly delicious and the beer is nice and cold. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my stay there, I felt comfortable, and I will definitely come back.

We were attracted by the beautiful location at the basilica. The service was quick and friendly but sometimes a bit unstructured. The pizzas made a good impression. We had asparagus salad and salad with falafel. Given the price of around 15 euros, the green salad with a few falafel was a disappointment. The so-called asparagus salad was a green salad with just a few small pieces of asparagus, plus some strawberries and Grano Padano. A complaint to the staff was nonchalantly ignored. Due to the location, we will probably visit Martinus again but probably not for dinner.

A wonderful pizzeria restaurant at the church of St. Martin. We ordered pizza with seafood and pepperoni, we liked both very much, the dough was thin, the toppings, especially cheese, were plentiful. The service was quick and polite. The facility itself is very cozy, with a view of the basilica towers from the summer terrace. The only thing I didn't like: the dessert menu, apart from ice cream, had exclusively vegan offers.

During my visit to Martinus I was particularly impressed by the quality of the espresso. Compared to other establishments, this espresso stood out, not only because of its excellent preparation, but also because of the full flavor it offered. As a connoisseur, I can assure you that this espresso was truly outstanding. The burger at Martinus was also convincing across the board: juicy meat, crispy bacon and fresh ingredients, embedded in an airy bun. The fries served with it were nice and crispy and perfectly seasoned. The service at Martinus was extremely friendly and flexible, which made the stay particularly pleasant. The Martinus is also child-friendly, making it an ideal place for families. Martinus offers a culinary experience that I would repeat at any time.

Unfortunately only something special, nothing down-to-earth Swabian on the menu. Why not also Kässpätzle or Maultaschen in addition to the exclusive menu selection. Otherwise great.

The concept and ambience are right and enliven the gastronomy in Weingarten. The menu (or cuisine) wants a bit too much for my taste. An example: The beef burger with highland beef patty and avocado cream actually only tastes like smoky barbecue sauce. Very, very unfortunate!

A huge WOW! I'm absolutely thrilled. I treated myself to a Magaritha pizza today, in the glorious sunshine. It was simply fantastic: a super-light crust, a thin base, and the toppings were simple but very good. I can only thank you so much for your hospitality and the delicious food. We've been there several times. The menu is small but excellent. The breakfasts and hot dishes are all highly recommended. The prices are also reasonable. The service is always very friendly. Highlights are the Israeli dishes that aren't typical for us, such as sabich.

One person in our group ordered the menu “Sole Pomodoro” pizza. The ricotta cream was far too salty - the dried tomatoes would have been sufficient, the cheese should have been without any salt. Apart from that everything was great! The atmosphere was really cool and we felt very comfortable. That's why we give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Really very nice location in Weingarten. Great food at reasonable prices. I've been here several times, sometimes with my family, sometimes with a friend, and found every dish (pizza, burger, today antipasti plate) absolutely delicious. The service is very friendly and attentive. Nice modern and cozy atmosphere inside. In summer it's great to sit outside, either in the front under umbrellas or in the shady backyard (where only the pebbles are a bit annoying and don't do justice to the otherwise high-quality appearance). All in all, probably the best address in Weingarten for eating and drinking in a great atmosphere with very good service! A clear recommendation and a great asset to Weingarten.

It was our first time there and we were surprised at what great service and what heavenly food we had. It was a bit crowded that evening and so everyone sat a bit close together. But what I think is more likely because many people celebrated their Christmas celebrations there. We'll definitely be back 👍🏼 keep up the great work!

The service is super friendly and just really nice. For breakfast there is not only the normal standard but also a few special things that are just so delicious. Martinus is also very progressive when it comes to vegan options, especially the latte with oat milk is simply delicious. I always enjoy going there.

Drr Service ist sehr aufmerksam, flott, freundlich und unkompliziert. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl beim reinkommen. Tolle Atmosphäre und sehr liebevoll dekoriert. Ich war jetzt 2 mal beim Mittagstisch und 1 mal beim Abendessen und würde jedes mal volle Punktzahl vergeben. Das Essen ist qualitativ wirklich hochwertig und die Pizzen sogar besser als bei den meisten Italienern. Wir waren rundum zufrieden :)

Despite being very busy, the service was very fast, attentive and courteous. The food was, as usual, excellent. This time we had the winter antipasti platter for 2 people, the Wiener Schnitzel and the tagliatelle with buffalo mozzarella and San Marzano tomatoes. But the vegan guacamole burger and the Neapolitan pizza are also highly recommended. For drinks we had 2 large apple spritzers, a ginger-lemon tea, a homemade ginger-lime lemonade and finally an affrogato and a cappuccino. For the quality and outstanding taste, the price quoted is more than justified. Due to the constantly high occupancy, it is advisable to reserve in advance, which can be done easily and simply on the restaurant's homepage. Reminder service included.

My absolute favorite restaurant. Food great. Service is always great and friendly. The ambience is also just great. I'm already looking forward to the next time
