My visit to MARTHABRÄU was a very pleasant experience, characterized by traditional brewing craftsmanship, Bavarian flair, and warm hospitality. The cozy, rustic atmosphere is immediately apparent upon entering – a place perfectly suited for a convivial gathering with friends or a relaxed dinner. The menu offered a diverse selection of classic Bavarian specialties. Particularly noteworthy were the hearty meat dishes such as pork knuckle and various sausages, accompanied by fresh side dishes and aromatic sauerkraut. The dumplings also impressed with their quality and flavor. The portions were generous and ensured a satisfying, authentic experience. Desserts like apple strudel or Kaiserschmarrn provided a sweet, traditional touch to finish. The beverage selection was impressive, featuring freshly brewed beer from their own brewery, which impressed with its full-bodied flavor and high quality. A variety of beers – from light to dark – offered diversity and paired perfectly with the food. The service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The staff made sure we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. What impressed me most was the combination of craft beer, traditional cuisine, and genuine hospitality. A visit to MARTHABRÄU isn't just about food and drink; it's about experiencing Bavarian joie de vivre right in the heart of the city.

We recently visited Marthabräu and were absolutely thrilled! Everything about it is just perfect. The food: Everything we ordered was expertly prepared and delicious. The absolute highlight, however, was definitely the Kaiserschmarrn – fluffy, perfectly caramelized, and a 10 out of 10 in terms of taste. It's worth the trip for that alone! The drinks: Beer lovers will be in heaven here. The fresh beer from the brewery right next door tastes fantastic and pairs perfectly with the Bavarian cuisine. The ambiance: The atmosphere is very cozy. The interior is rustic and inviting, and the outdoor area is also beautifully designed and perfect for relaxing. Conclusion: Great food, delicious beer, and excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

The price is high, which I can understand if you get good food and service. The food was mediocre at best. The service was abysmal. I wouldn't come back and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Delicious roast pork. The homemade red cabbage was also very tasty. Great Bavarian atmosphere. Friendly service.

We dined at this restaurant today with a large group, having booked weeks in advance. The ambiance was fantastic, exactly what I had hoped for—a very nice restaurant both inside and out. The service was okay, though I felt the staff seemed a little overwhelmed. Unfortunately, I have to deduct points for the food. First of all, and this wasn't mentioned until later, if your group is over 15 people, you only get the limited menu, which only offers a small selection of what the restaurant has to offer. Even when we asked, we were referred to the limited menu at our table. At a table next to ours, we were told, "We can make two exceptions for you—sorry for that," but it was "either everyone or no one—that's rude!" I ended up ordering the large salad, and unfortunately, for the price, the quality and the cheese weren't to my taste. It's a shame; I was really looking forward to this evening—perhaps too much. Conclusion: Sadly, never again.

A very cozy and friendly restaurant. The roast beef with onions was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend it. There's something for kids to paint, and dogs are allowed too. We'd love to come back here again.

Three weeks ago with David Vogelsberger, the food was truly excellent, and there wasn't any unpleasant noise in the adjoining room. A table for four people was reserved for this occasion. After the "starter," unfortunately, four lukewarm main courses were served. Burgers with a very sweet brioche bun, soggy bacon, hard cheese, hard cucumber edges, and mushy potato wedges. Cheese spaetzle: the top layer was warm, the bottom layer lukewarm, and the little cheese didn't wilt! A side salad, for my taste, with an extremely sweet honey dressing. It's also incomprehensible that a table reservation for four people is chosen so that you sit next to two loud groups of men at long tables with about eight to ten people each. The dining room wasn't even half full. The service was very good and attentive. There's no motivation for another "test visit." Dear hosts, it's not just the poor food for not a small price; As a "service provider," you also spoil the entire evening for "your guests."

Everything we wished for was implemented with love and dedication – truly, every wish was fulfilled. The service was 10/10, superbly organized, attentive, and always friendly. The value for money is also absolutely spot on – for what you get, it's 100% worth it! A huge compliment to the kitchen – the chef really puts in all the effort, and the food was simply unbelievably delicious – truly beyond amazing! 🍽️👏 It's especially nice that Marthabräu also caters to children. There are designated alcoves and play areas so the little ones can keep themselves busy and not get bored – this made our celebration even more relaxing. What we particularly liked: You don't have to worry about anything yourself! 🎶 The hall has its own sound system, so even if you bring your own musicians or a DJ, they can easily connect and get started right away – so the party can begin stress-free. There's also plenty of parking – either directly in front of the festival hall or across the street on the fairgrounds, so it's super convenient. You can just tell that the work here is done with heart, passion, and attention to detail. We would like to thank the entire Marthabräu team from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ – you made our day so special. And we really hope that we can celebrate our next parties with you again – because there simply isn't a better team! 💫

A very nice, regional restaurant with Bavarian cuisine. We ate at the Wirtshaus Reinderl and were very satisfied. The portions were quite generous, even for a hearty eater. It tasted excellent. Highly recommended.

Brewery-style with dishes to match. Carnivores will feel right at home. Great food, I had the creamed roast beef from the daily special, top-notch, and really reasonably priced. The presentation on the plate was also lovely, as far as I was concerned.

The service is truly outstanding; it deserves two more stars. The food is very good, but unfortunately, it feels like it's been the same for two years; it's due for a change. The atmosphere is nice, like a pub, but it gets a bit louder when it's full.

This place desperately needs a chef! The ambiance is beautiful and newly renovated, making it one of the few beer gardens in the area. Unfortunately, the food doesn't match this high standard: the venison slaw is hard and dry, like concrete; the regular one was yellow and seasoned with curry (?); the currywurst is simply of poor quality, and the fries were soaked with grease and not crispy at all. Only the Kaiserschmarrn was OK, but we almost didn't order it because the waiter cheekily claimed it only took 10 minutes and we should order it later (?!). Only when I asked if it was freshly made did he ask the kitchen, and we were "allowed" to order it in advance. The waiter was repeatedly snippy and eventually left us sitting outside until we came in to pay. He then complained about the amount of the tip (€20 on a bill of approximately €180) and immediately dismissed us when we tried to explain why it wasn't more. It was all a bit annoying, but not really a reason for me to stop going there. We'll give Marthabraeu another chance, not least because the guests around us were all very nice!

Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. We couldn't find a reservation. We had to wait a very long time for our food. Our guests, who arrived a little later because their children were at school, had to wait 90 minutes for their food. I've never seen children cry because no food was served. Given today's prices, and this restaurant isn't cheap, I expect something different. Even a voucher and an apology can't undo this unpleasant experience at the start of school. We won't be using this restaurant again.

Today we ate at Martabräu for the first time since the change of management. Unfortunately, we discovered that a lot has changed. The food used to be a truly amazing experience, and there was never anything to complain about. Today, we had to wait a very long time for our food, and the dishes didn't arrive together for an order for four people. Two of the four dishes actually only arrived after the others were already ready, and the drinks only came sporadically. The food was only average compared to previous visits. Unfortunately, there's no comparison to before, as the menu hasn't changed, and expectations weren't met. The value for money is no longer there, and something clearly needs to be changed. All in all, the restaurant has clearly lost quality and charm since the change. Hoping for a miracle to happen, we are, of course, hoping for clear changes or a simpler menu that lives up to expectations.

Very tasty food in a nice ambience. Will definitely come again

If you order a schnitzel here, you'd better make a will right away—because by the time the food arrives, you'll be a few years older. I politely reordered after 45 minutes, but apparently, this kitchen serves according to the lunar calendar. My schnitzel arrived so late that I almost considered leaving it to my grandchildren as a family heirloom. Perhaps the pig had to be born, raised, and transported to the slaughterhouse—there's no other explanation for this delay. Taste-wise? Hard to say; I was so hungry that even a beer mat would have been gourmet-quality. In short: If you love adventure and aren't afraid of starvation or time travel, this is the place for you. Everyone else should make a sandwich at home—it's guaranteed to be on your plate faster.

Once and never again! Our food didn't taste good at all! It resembled hospital food! Beef was so bland, dumplings tasted more like butter. We're happy to pay €27 for a portion if it's good, but it's absolutely overpriced here. The meatballs were also very dry.

A balmy evening in late August, seven of us visiting the beer garden. Not a good idea. The lack of hot dishes might be okay, but two portions of sausage salad, an Obazder (traditional German sausage), and two pretzels as a selection for seven is really bad. There was no staff at the food counter either. We weren't the only guests, either. If I go there again, I'll bring my own snacks.

We visited the beer garden today at 6 p.m. in perfect weather. I can't comment on the food, as they definitely didn't offer any. We went to Norma and bought some pretzels. I was really looking forward to a rolled roast or half a chicken. It's a disgrace to let Bavarian beer garden culture deteriorate so badly in such a beautiful place. In the future, a notice, including online, would be appropriate that you have to bring your own food, as they only serve drinks.

Three weeks ago, four of us were at Marthabräu on a Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Until then, Marthabräu was one of our Bavarian favorites. From the previous tenant, we knew Marthabräu to be service-oriented and the food excellent. Unfortunately, after our visit, we can no longer confirm this. When we placed our food order, three of the four dishes were no longer available: two from the weekly daily and evening menu, and one from the à la carte menu. I note it was 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday, which is when the evening business starts. We originally wanted burgers, beef goulash, and bockschnitzel, but then ordered three rolled roasts as an alternative. This time we were lucky, as these were the last three portions, but two of the portions were already mixed with the rolled roast. My wife was offered a Thai curry instead of the burger she requested, which is almost the same. The service also left a lot to be desired, as we had to wait about 40 minutes for the table to be cleared after eating. They don't want to generate any revenue because the waitress didn't even ask if we wanted anything else, as we'd been without drinks for quite some time. When we ordered dessert, three scoops of ice cream, one of the four flavors (menu: vanilla, chocolate, mango, and plum-cinnamon) was unavailable. At the same time, one of the new tenants was in the building. If I were the landlord and manager, I would recommend actively participating in the business. There weren't many guests in the building at that time, but the service was still overwhelmed. Conclusion: The kitchen, service, and new tenants failed to impress us. Unfortunately, we can no longer recommend Marthabräu.

Refers exclusively to the beer garden! Great ambiance under old chestnut trees. You can also bring your own snacks, a rarity. Sometimes two different prices are deliberately displayed for the same dish. According to the operators, the price board above the bar/food counter is supposedly from before the takeover. Directly at the order line, there's a small sign showing a significantly higher price. Initially uncooperative when asked. Only the comment to report this to the trade supervisory authority gave me the original price. How many guests paid the higher price? The food itself, unfortunately, was not convincing. The rolled pork roast was relatively bland and only lukewarm. All sausages (including the Nuremberg bratwursts) are not prepared on the grill, but in the deep fryer. An absolute "no go"! Unfortunately, they are also not fresh from the butcher, but from a bulk package. The sausage salad is carelessly stuffed into a glass jar. Anyone who wants a Swiss sausage gets grated cheese from a package sprinkled on top. Yes, eating out isn't cheap anywhere these days. But good food should be good for a good price. Unfortunately, not here.

Hello, We were at Marthabräu on Saturday. The food and service were okay, but nothing more. What was annoying was that they weren't really well-prepared for guests (on a Saturday). They had run out of syrup for a requested aperitif. Then we wanted to order a Kaiserschmarrn for four people. They had run out of flour. And finally, our desired "nightcap" was also out of stock. Maybe you have to bring your own things?

First time here and not really happy. The food is ready-made in jars. I have no idea how long in advance it's been made. You can think what you want about that, but I'd prefer the food to be fresh. The prices on the board are also inaccurate. They set their own prices for that. The food is also extremely expensive for being ready-made. I definitely won't be coming here again.

Until recently, we really enjoyed eating at Marthabräu quite often. Since the change of tenant, there's probably a new chef too. I didn't like the salad anymore... I can make canned pickled beans myself at home; that's not the same as a fresh salad. What was really annoying was that the appetizer came at the same time as the main course, and then you had to leave the appetizer to enjoy the meal while it was still warm. The Kaiserschmarren is unfortunately not what it used to be either... what a shame! The service was hectic, annoyed, and only minimally accommodating due to all the grievances.

A nice restaurant in itself, and the food is quite good, but relatively expensive. However, it has happened several times (more than three) that we weren't able to get any food between 8 and 9 p.m. on weekend evenings because the kitchen had already closed. Besides, we were only interested in dessert (Kaiserschmarrn) anyway. I find it outrageous that they don't offer hot meals during perfectly normal dining hours, when the restaurant is still open for several hours, and that they don't do anything to help us, just sending us home.

The food was overpriced and a disaster. The salad was swimming in dressing, and for €19 for a salad with goat cheese, it didn't even come with a slice of bread. The waiters quickly seemed overwhelmed. No ice for Aperol! I won't be back.

Highly recommended! The food is delicious, the staff is always friendly, and there's a huge selection. The value for money is absolutely spot on! You can sit inside or outside. The portions are very generous.👍🏼

We'll never see this place again. At 8 p.m., my husband and I wanted to spend a cozy evening in the beer garden. That wasn't going to be a success... we were immediately informed that the kitchen was already closed due to a lack of customers. They only had roast pork, which didn't bother us at that point. Seven other guests who came from the beer garden to the self-service area were immediately sent home. "We're closing," the waiter said. We finished our lukewarm roast, then another customer arrived. A regular, as the waiter informed us. He ordered cheese spaetzle and a large mixed salad. The waiter hand-fed the two dogs some meat... well, we're dog owners too, but that's questionable as waiters. I work in the restaurant industry myself, but unfortunately, that's not possible... what a shame, it would be such a lovely location.

Actually a nice beer garden, but unfortunately the food was disastrous. Chicken had been kept warm for hours. The fries with the currywurst were fried in too-cold oil and half-raw. It's good that you can bring your own. But even the beer was noticeably too warm. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this beer garden.

The food was very good, as always. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was sold out – unfortunately, we weren't informed of this until we ordered. They also questioned whether we were aware of the price, saying, "That would be almost €28 per person." At 8:36 PM, we wanted to order a Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancake with pancakes) – but they said, "The kitchen is already closed." Considering the restaurant's opening hours are until 10:00 PM before a holiday, I find it particularly unfortunate that the kitchen closed without a brief comment.

I've been here several times with friends or alone for dinner. It's conveniently located near the center of the Volksfestplatz (fairgrounds). In the courtyard, there are parking spaces and outdoor seating, as well as a curling rink. Inside, the inn invites you with a rustic, somewhat dark, but clean interior. The food is very good, especially the roast pork. I was unlucky with the cabbage rolls last time. The meat, mashed potatoes, and gravy were okay. However, the cabbage was missing, or rather, it was only available in the form of a sheet of paper around the meat. The atmosphere is friendly, if a bit disorganized at times. A comment about the somewhat scarce cabbage supply was accepted without a word. The prices are a bit too high for the food on offer. Although it's understandable that prices have risen everywhere in restaurants for well-known reasons, everything should be perfect. Otherwise, everything was perfect; the taste is okay. Conclusion: Just try it for yourself. Maybe you'll have better luck or cabbage on other days...

This review refers exclusively to the beer garden! I met up with friends there yesterday at 7 p.m. after a long time. The food was a complete disaster: There were no dumplings left with the roast pork, so they wanted to give us French fries instead. The pork sausages were cooked in a deep fryer (!!!). The food selection was extremely limited (at 7 p.m.!). The manager's explanation(?): they were surprised by the nice weather (ever heard of a weather forecast?). The organization with the food collection/payment was absolutely chaotic. Overall, not recommended.

I reworked my recession. Since you can't reach anyone by phone and the beer garden is apparently still closed, I can only say that the new tenant still has a lot to learn.

"Dance yourself happy" ~ At first you had to queue for up to 25 minutes to get a drink. Only one service person on site, while another stayed in the background. Card payment was not possible because the device was allegedly broken. Previously there was no indication of this.

Unfortunately, the roast pork is not recommended, it is very fatty and the dumplings are tiny. That's not to be expected given the price. unfortunately no recommendation.

Yesterday we were at Marthabräu for the first time, probably due to the performance of the kitchen, and it was also the last time, there were 4 of us and we had roast pork, pork schnitzel, salad and Krautwickal. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was very mixed. Salad was very good, but I expect the same for €20 were certainly not warmed up for the first time. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to it because the reviews are very good. But I also have to praise the way the problem was handled. The waiter was really very committed and we didn't have to pay for either dish, but the mood wasn't that good at first. I hope that the review does something in the kitchen so that the same thing doesn't happen to other guests.

We also ate there after curling. Salad with goat cheese was tasty, but not a huge portion. Dressing was great.

It was our first time at Marthabräu and we can definitely recommend it. An ice rink invites you to curling. Afterwards you can stop at the restaurant and be served by the friendly staff. The food was consistently great and value for money was definitely given. We'll be back in the summer to test the beer garden 😀

The food is good, but we couldn't get a table on Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m. because the kitchen had already been out for 1.5 hours! before the end/10 p.m.) was closed. Incredible. We then went to Myra (also highly recommended), where we were warmly greeted.

I can especially recommend the red cabbage, which tastes absolutely fresh and is very pleasantly spicy and delicately seasoned. The quality and preparation of the meat and dumplings was equally fantastic. The service was very courteous, made recommendations for drinks and nightcaps and always kept an eye on the table. I can fully recommend the restaurant and would definitely make a detour here again when visiting the region.

Salat, César, nur billigster Salat, ein paar Würfel Fleisch, keine Tomate, keine Brotwürfel, kein Käse, für 19,00€. Essen kommt eher Fastfood Restaurant gleich. Schade, Ambiente ist schön und Personal nett, aber Essen sehr sehr schlecht geworden, kommen schon seit einigen Jahren, um dies zu beurteilen, zu können…

Have been here twice so far. 2 people each. The cabbage wrap and also the game meat patties were excellent. Service is very attentive, not intrusive. We'd love to come back.

After making a reservation by telephone on Christmas Day, we were assigned a table in a corner in the next room, despite the sparse presence. No other guests came either. The food (Böfflamott and onion roast) was served after a few minutes and unfortunately disappointed us. The meat in both dishes was too dry, the red cabbage was only lukewarm and very overcooked. The price-performance ratio wasn't right. It's a shame, we had much better memories of the ambience and the cuisine.

Auch die Breznsuppe oder die herbstlich Kürbiskernsuppe..... einfach unglaublich Köstlichkeiten, die so typisch für die gute bayerische Küche sind. Danke auch an das untypisch, immer freundliche Team. Die kumpelhafte Freundlichkeit kommt gut an, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Macht weiter so, haltet Eure Qualität, dann sind die Preise auch gerechtfertigt. Bis bald im Martabräu FFB....

The potato dumplings are heavenly! Also the Böfflamott for a generous €27.99 with divine red cabbage. However, the map used to be more extensive, or so I think. Always friendly service

It was just ok a year ago, but this time it was disappointing. The meat was good (roast pork, schnitzel) to ok (Böflamott, duck but too dry). But the side dishes simply tasted bad: undefined, far too soggy butter dumplings and overcooked red cabbage. The dumpling duo bland. The Kaiserschmarrn has made up for something. In terms of prices, value for money is only 2 stars. It's a real shame, it used to be really good...

I'm disappointed, small portions, not exactly a hit in terms of taste, you can save yourself the next visit. The schnitzel is super thin, the beer ham at my butcher is sliced ​​thicker.

The service is very quick, but also very decisive, sometimes in my opinion a bit too much of a “cracker”! The food is ok, but there is still room for improvement, especially given the price level. The Kaiserschmarrn is highly recommended, I have never eaten such a good one.

You won't believe it - not a single dish is without gluten/flour (label “A”)! Just a simple salad will do! The requirement to label allergens could - if one were to think with the guest in mind - lead to thinking about reducing the use of allergens. Could - would also be very easy. For example, sauces with Mondamin bind (corn flour, gluten-free). Think about what absolutely needs to be floured. It would be so easy - and the guest could relax and find something to eat like everyone else. I just can't believe that people only do justice to the labeling requirements - without rhyme or reason. The main thing is to be legally protected. The role and mission as a host, where the guest can feel comfortable - especially if they have allergies - is not understood here. Very unfortunate.

Telephone reservation and reception very unfriendly! We didn't feel welcome, we were more tolerated as guests and that detracts from the overall experience enormously! Our waiter was nice but, as I said, the reception and telephone conversation were very unpleasant. We don't want to eat here again.

The food and service are very good, Bavarian cuisine. And you are served quickly and the food is on the table quickly. However, if the website says it's open until 10 p.m., I expect to be able to get something to eat by then. Then you should be fair enough and write that the kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. This is really disappointing!

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 4 Personen, 2 davon aus Norddeutschland . Ein sehr gutes Bespiel von bayerischer Gastlichkeit und gutem Essen. Wir kommen wieder.
