Awesome 🔨 Food top ambience but stable prices

Overall, the food was okay, although I felt that the materials used, such as the spaetzle and the sauce, were not homemade. The taste was a bit mild and could have used a little more refinement. Despite these points, the service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. With a few improvements, especially in the freshness of the ingredients, the dish could be even more convincing.

We were there on October 4th, 2024 in the evening and wanted to eat something. We sat down at a free table. Guests who had made reservations arrived. We were rudely asked to leave the table because it was reserved. There was no sign on the table. We were not offered another table or offered takeaway food. We left the restaurant feeling unwelcome. So you can delete the Black Forest Hospitality logo.

Went to eat in the market economy on a sunny Sunday. The service was good with very little waiting time, especially until we could order. The food (breaded pork and chicken schnitzel, Schwabenpfännle) was very good! We'd love to come back!

We can't say anything about the hotel, but the food, drinks, staff and ambience are simply top class. During our short vacation on the Kniebis, we went to the market economy in Freundestadt several times to eat and drink because we really liked it the first time.

Today we had a delicious meal in the market economy with a few boys. Food was great. A Schwabenpfänchen brightened up my evening. But what was even nicer was the great service. From start to finish a lady with heart and talent. Even though the store was full. Thank you very, very much for that. And have fun on Malle 🫰.

Four of us went to the market economy for dinner this week. The places were very nice outside. Of course, there are a large number of parasols available. All four of us were very satisfied with our dinner. I had the shepherd's feast (a cast iron pan with fresh grilled vegetables, delicious shepherd's cheese in olive oil and Mediterranean herbs and baguette). The “snacks” are really big and pass for almost a complete meal. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent service. Our waitress was super attentive, always friendly, entertained us well and had a few excursion tips for the next day.

Admiring the largest market square in Germany, we came across the market economy in beautiful Freudenstadt in search of a delicious dinner. A quick look at the menu promised good regional cuisine. What can I say, I've rarely seen such nice staff and the food was also very excellent. I can only recommend the market economy. See you next time!

Very nice restaurant on the lower market square, without traffic, you can let the children jump in the summer, playground and water games in the immediate vicinity

A very nice location with flowers, market square and fountain views. We really enjoyed the food. The waitress was also very nice. Definitely recommended.

Nice spot on the Market Square with a view of the fountains. On a hot summer day, children gratefully use the spraying water. Nice terrace with comfortable chairs. Nice menu, friendly service. We had one starter together: the feta cheese on grilled vegetables with olive oil and herbs: delicious! The breaded chicken fillet with sauce and (lots of) fries also tasted great. I tried a new cocktail here, the Rosie Lemonie. Super delicious!!

We stopped here on our motorcycle tour and were treated excellently. Good coffee, delicious food and a nice outdoor area. We'll be back!

The staff was very nice. Unfortunately there isn't much positive to add. With our meal (schnitzel with salad, Maultaschenpfännle, spinach dumplings) the potato salad was over it and the leaf lettuce was partly wilted. Unfortunately, in terms of taste, it couldn't be saved from the other average-tasting things. We won't go there anymore.

In the middle of the square and with a good menu

Everything perfect. At the beautiful market square. Even if they are currently building for the garden show. The food was very tasty, the service was very friendly. Only recommended!

We had a wonderful diner, young yet very professional, friendly and English speaking staff. Rooms are very clean and looking brand-new. Hotel is modern and nicely decorated. Good and diverse breakfast. Great service from the breakfast staff member. Located on the main square with a nice atmosphere. Pity we had to head home after one night.

We were there for an early dinner. The children had schnitzel fries, although the fries are not run-of-the-mill fries, but rather more rustic and better. We had the sausage salad, beautifully prepared, good salad dressing, everything was perfect. Beer is Alpirsbacher, so perfect.

The three of us had lunch at the restaurant mentioned on a sunny Sunday. The outdoor area is very inviting. Therefore, the choice to place ourselves there was not difficult for us. Unfortunately, we would say the service only deserves 2 out of 5 points. But the food is absolutely fine, which was about the only positive thing left to mention. The prices are absolutely not within the normal range when you consider that you pay 5.60 extra for ketchup, mayonnaise and the sauce. Nothing was mentioned to us when we ordered that an extra surcharge would be charged for this. The waitress also recommended that we convert the portion of fries for our son (1.5 years old) into a side dish portion, which instead of 6.90 euros only cost 3.90, so far so good, but that's for each portion of ketchup and mayonnaise An extra 1.70 each is charged, there was no mention of this, so you get even more money for a smaller portion. My dish, chicken schnitzel with fries and gravy, came with a small jar filled with gravy, actually known in the restaurant industry as a small jam jar. So not enough to be able to eat the portion with sauce. So we politely asked for sauce again and this request was granted. For the second helping, there was a larger glass as standard with the dish, which is not understandable here. There was no mention of an additional charge. When asked to pay the bill, an orderman only read the order without presenting an invoice. (The bill was only given upon request). When I saw the list, I was surprised why the sauces were listed separately. After I asked, I was told that the sauces unfortunately cost extra and that she couldn't add them as a condition. It should be mentioned that a different waitress did the billing than the one who took the orders. In order to proceed correctly, I asked the waitress who took the order at the counter about it and explained my displeasure to her again. She also apologized that the boss was responsible for this. She was indifferent to the complaint and only replied that she could live well with the complaint. In my opinion, very aloof and arrogant. For our next visits to Freudenstadt we will definitely choose a different restaurant in Freudenstadt.

Market economy in Freundestadt, located directly on the large market square, you can also find a parking space in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant. The service was nice, quick and courteously friendly. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty, we would love to come back.

Absolutely recommended. I often do business in the market economy. The food is excellent no matter what you eat. I can't understand the complaining from some people. Rooms clean and well maintained. Service top, friendly, accommodating and on the ball. It's definitely worth a visit.

Market economy restaurant The restaurant is located right in the heart of Freudenstadt in a very large and beautiful square. The restaurant is rustic yet modernly furnished. It has a nice style. The service was good, the staff was very nice and accommodating. The food, there was schnitzel Viennese style and Maultaschen with salad (Swabian plate). The schnitzel is well fried and fried in butter. The spaetzle... more like chicken feed, unfortunately they were very torn apart. In the Swabian plate, the Maultaschen were very good, the salad and the potato salad had a bit of tingling, which wasn't so good as it was more of a sign of fermentation. You can sometimes park directly on site where there is also a parking garage.

I cannot recommend Swabian pans. Pork fillet were fried to death, like the sole of a shoe. Roast roast, steaks were nice and pink.

Extremely nice staff. But that was it again. The salad can't even be described, it was so bad. It had probably been sitting in the warm for a few hours. Venison rates dry, gray meat and tasteless. The spaetzle is not yellow like it should be. It was our first time there to eat, but also our last time. Unfortunately I can't recommend it. It's a shame actually. A good cook would probably be appropriate.

It's nice to sit in, and on hot days, with a bit of luck, even in the mist from the fountains. Today we had sausage salad with cheese – fantastic! -, Alm-Öhi-Rösti - the wife was very happy - and a stuffed dumpling in mushroom cream sauce in almost grandma quality from the daily menu. Non-alcoholic yeast, elderberry spritzer, medium Freudenstädter spring water, Lillet Wildberry. Full recommendation for everything - as can be seen from the fact that we ate faster than we could take photos.

We had dinner with the family on Easter Sunday. It was the 2nd time and it was great again. Regardless of whether it was regular schnitzel, trout or pasta, we were all very satisfied. The service was attentive, polite and also accommodating with our 3 seniors, for whom the order sometimes took a little longer. The price is high, but the quality matches the price. We can really recommend it and will definitely come back.

The service was very nice.... Food came very quickly....but the food was a horror, all the finished products were used.....cheese spaetzle were like chewing gum (not cooked by myself), bread dumplings out of the bag.... Vegetables from a can, just warmed up, sauces from a bag..... the pumpkin cream soup was good but we didn't make it ourselves.... We've really eaten better.... Unfortunately I can't tell you any more, it's a shame.... And... After we were at home for about 45 minutes, my husband started vomiting and all the food came out.... We were there for the first and last time..... and it was all on my birthday 😞😢 I hope my husband gets better soon...

Food is the last thing. Schnitzel burnt and dry, salad wilted inedibly. For the price, it's a complete impudence. An improvement from the chef is desired!

We went to the market economy on the recommendation of the hairdresser Coco. We were warmly welcomed and given great advice. We were immediately offered to taste two white wines and two red wines. The menu is great. Regional cuisine, Black Forest specialties and a daily recommendation. The prices are great, there are “traffic light prices” “Government prices” i.e. those with a 12% surcharge and off-premises prices. The taste is very good and the ambience is good too. Clear recommendation! 👍🏻

Ich mag dieses rustikal moderne in der Einrichtung. Die Bedienung war (trotz ausgefallener Schankanlage) sehr bemüht und das Essen hat allen geschmeckt. Jederzeit wieder.

Sehr schickes Restaurant, was von aussen garnicht so scheint. Hatten allerhöchstens 10 Minuten Wartezeit (waren um 12 dort) und das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung hat uns eine hat uns eine Portion Schnitzel zu viel gebracht, ansonsten Top Bedienungen. Alle waren sehr freundlich und es war erstaunlich ruhig. Die Mooswand ist wirklich cool, sieht auch richtig toll aus :))

Sehr schönes zentral gelegenes Restaurant in Freudenstadt, direkt am Marktplatz. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist sehr schön, alles sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtet. Es ist nicht zu hell, aber auch nicht zu dunkel im Restaurant. Das Personal hat sich stets sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und humorvoll verhalten, was sehr zu schätzen ist. Insgesamt war das Restaurant inklusive der Toiletten sehr sauber. Das Essen war ebenfalls lobenswert. Man merkt, dass alles frisch und mit Handarbeit zubereitet wurde. Beim Salat war etwas sehr viel Dressing dran und die Flädlesuppe war etwas zu sauer für meinen Geschmack, trotzdem sind alle gegessen Speisen sehr empfehlenswert. Die Preise sind auf normalem Niveau, das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist stimmig. Bei einem Besuch in Freudenstadt auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Essen auf dem Niveau von fertig Produkten. Service langsam und nicht sehr freundlich. Der Preis steht in keiner Relation zur Leistung. Null Empfehlung, völlig überzogene Preise. Die Einrichtung ist gelungen. Alles andere schlecht.

Sehr gutes Essen freundliche Bedienung Super

Ne muss nicht mehr sein, ich habe der Marktwirtschaft eine zweite Chance gegeben. Hat sich leider nach einem Dreivierteljahr nichts geändert. Schnitzel sahen eher nach Tiefkühlkost aus als frisch geklopft/ paniert und mit zu starker Hitze misshandelt, das die Panade dementsprechend eine viel zu dunklen Teint bekommen hat. Nachtisch war definitiv Tiefkühlkost.

Wunderbare Gelegenheit für preiswertes und gute Hausmannskost. Wir waren nachmittags dort und hatten tagesgericht sowie Linsen und Spätzle. Dazu eine leckere Schorle. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Nette und schnelle Bedienung. Da gehen wir wieder hin.

Nettes Personal und gutes Essen zu passablen Preisen, Tische stehen sehr nahe aufeinander

Ich gehe mindestens 2- 3 mal im Monat dort hin, die Salate so wie Maultaschen ec. Gerichte immer wider Top. Aber auch die Fleischgerichte waren immer ein super Erlebnis. Finde Preis Leistung sehr gut, der Service und das Ambiente sind super gut. Bitte weiter so komme immer gerne zu euch. Grüße

Heute am Feiertag zu dritt ohne Reservierung für eine Stunde einen Tisch bekommen. Fast jeder Tisch war belegt, die drei Damen vom Service hervorragend aufeinander eingespielt, alle Essen an den einzelnen Tischen kamen sehr flott. Unsere Pommes und Quiche waren sehr lecker, das Schwabenpfännle ein kulinarischer Genuss. Man hat uns dort nicht das letzte mal gesehen, es wird auf jeden Fall auch weiterempfohlen.

Alles top & es war absolut lecker! Die Ambiente war mega. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle super und sehr gut orientiert! Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!

Am Wochenende mit Freunden dort übernachtet und sehr gut gegessen. Service super freundlich, sowie alle anderen auch. Gerne wieder!!

Selten so ein Gaumenschmaus gehabt , unfassbar lecker, die Kürbissuppe war Sterneverdächtigt ⭐️⭐️⭐️ unbeschreiblich köstlich. Wir haben sie dann jeden Abend vor dem Hauptgang uns geteilt, damit wir nicht zu sehr satt sind. Weil auch alles andere Essen super geschmeckt hat. Sehr zu empfehlen diese Gastronomie, nicht zuletzt auch wegen dem sehr freundlichen Personal. Sehr bemerkenswert auch, : ...als wir nach ein paar Tagen abends eigentlich beide ein Steak essen wollten, wir aber befürchteten, nicht mehr soviel essen zu können bei den sehr reichlichen Portionen, empfahl uns die Kellnerin, nur eins zu bestellen und zu teilen. (Wohlgemerkt, die Kürbissuppe hatten wir auch vorher.) Wir nahmen freudig dankbar an, und siehe da, es kamen zwei Teller, das Steak und Beilagen schön geteilt, sodass wir beide auch optisch das Gefühl hatten einen vollen Teller zu haben. Wir wurden beide satt, das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gebraten, ausgesprochen wohlschmeckende alles. Sowas hab ich noch nicht erlebt und ich finde es toll, das die das gemacht haben. Sehr kundenfreundlich. Wenn wir wieder in dieser Gegend sind, wird unser Weg unweigerlich dorthinführen.

Nun zuerst möchte ich das Essen und Trinken bewerten und das geht für mich nicht über 3 Sterne hinaus. Der Grauburgunder war lecker aber das Weißweinschorle geht gar nicht. Ist aber wohl Geschmackssache da wohl ein Riesling verwendet wird. Meiner Meinung nach kein Guter. Das Essen ist mit vielen Fertigprodukten zubereitet, und somit zu salzig, wenn man frische Küche gewohnt ist. Die Bedienungen sind nett und aufmerksam, das Ambiente finde ich ansprechend. Ergo.. Preis Leistung passt, zum gemütlich einen Wein trinken komme ich sicher wieder, essen werde ich wohl dann woanders. Dennoch 4 Sterne da das Konzept passt und Essen ist natürlich auch Geschmackssache.😉

Total zufrieden. Hat alles gepasst!

Es 15 Minuten hat es gedauert bis wir bedient wurden, das Rumsteak für 25,00€ 220 Gramm! 100 Gramm wohl in der Küche vergessen, geschmacklich gut.

Nachdem wir im Turmbräu wegen Personalknappheit abgewiesen wurden, fanden wir zum Glück dieses nette Restaurant. Es war kein Problem nur etwas zum Trinken zu bekommen (eine Person hat gegessen und war auch sehr zufrieden). Die sehr freundliche Bedienung hatte immer ein Auge für zur Neige gehende Gläser und hat am Schluss sogar noch eine Runde Kurze ausgegeben. Das Alpirsbacher Bier war schön frisch gezapt mit einer schönen Schaumkrone (Blume) und war ausgezeichnet.

Waren nun bereits mehrfach in der Marktwirtschaft und sind immer sehr zufrieden gewesen. Ein ganz chices Restaurant, tolle regionale Gerichte und ein netter Service.

Wir waren am gestrigen Nachmittag da und sind freundlich empfangen worden. Auf der gemütlichen Terrasse wurden wir sehr nett und schnell bedient. Mein Partner mit Tagesessen Züricher Geschnetzeltem und ich mit einem Salat mit Garnelen Spieß. Das Tagesessen hätte einen Hauch mehr sein können, mein Salat war in Ordnung. Nur etwas mehr Granatapfelkerne hätte ich mir gewünscht, nicht nur einen Esslöffel voll. Wir haben uns zum Dessert je einen Espresso Affogato und zusammen noch Apfelringe gegönnt. Das war alles besonders lecker. Wir können dieses Restaurant am schönen Marktplatz sehr empfehlen, es ist dort freundlich, schnell, schmackhaft. Keine riesen Portionen, doch man wird satt. Wir geben die volle Punktzahl, denn die Schnelligkeit und die fröhliche und sehr nette Bedienung machen den Rest wieder wett.

Sehr nettes Personal. Preis-Leistung topp Hatten den Wurstsalat mit Käse. War echt lecker, und "für den Schwob ausreichend Bria dra" 👍 Besonders lecker das frische, noch warme Bauernbrot.
