The combination of a senior residence and an elegant restaurant is unusual. The ladies serving us were charmingly attentive and active. The restaurant is stylishly decorated. We found the bright light from the stairwell, which shone through the large double doors, a bit disturbing. The last whistle was missing during dinner. Unfortunately, the sauce for the cheeks and roulade was not the result of long braising. Still, it was a nice meal.

My husband and I can only say positive things about this restaurant. We were in town for two days for a concert. I really wanted to eat Thuringian dumplings and we didn't have many options. This restaurant no longer had a la carte from 6 p.m. due to a barbecue evening. We still got our food and it tasted fantastic! Clear recommendation!

We were there for the first time today. The restaurant is very tastefully and comfortably furnished. Everything is clean and tidy. The food was great. I can highly recommend the wild herb salad with nuts and quinoa. In principle, everyone can find something on the map. Just great. The service was courteous, friendly and quick. There is a parking garage nearby, from which you can reach the restaurant in about 2 minutes on foot.

After visiting the castle, take a walk into the old town to enjoy very good German cuisine in this restaurant. We had ox cheeks (very tender with delicious jus) with dumplings and vegetables as well as three kinds of homemade dumplings (tomato, cheese, spinach) with a side salad. But then came the icing on the cake: the homemade ice cream (see picture): chocolate orange, vanilla tonka bean, savory pumpkin ice cream, cherry chili. We had the feeling that we were sitting in a gourmet restaurant. This was due to the many fresh ingredients and flavors, but also to the very nice service. By the way: we also really liked the simple and elegant restaurant interior. We can highly recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back!!

Very friendly service staff. The food was very good, the taste and quantity were tip top. The restaurant was very well maintained, clean and modernly furnished. Overall really nice and recommended. It was also very well attended. The reservation via Google also worked. What could be improved is appropriate music for the food and the ambience (no radio if possible). The view from the restaurant, through the double doors (directly onto the elevator where people are constantly getting in and out with boxes and cleaning buckets) could be improved by closing the door or placing a large screen in front of it so that the restaurant's guests do not have to walk into the brightly lit hallway have to look. You could then enter the restaurant past the screen on the right and left. I also didn't think the uniform of the friendly waitress was appropriate for the restaurant, so a chic black blazer, etc. could be used. Create a remedy. This med. A real insider tip in Gotha's old town that we came across by chance. Modern and pleasant atmosphere. Friendly and thoughtful service. Fresh cuisine with a small menu where everyone should find something. Price/performance is top. Our Thuringian Rostbrätl with fried potatoes was great. Gladly again at any time.

Great atmosphere, very nice and attentive service, but the food we ordered didn't fit the atmosphere at all. 17.90 for a schnitzel with cold potato salad and carelessly undressed rocket as decoration and for dessert, spray cream on the dessert with a few rolling sour cherries for the tonga bean parfait left us very disappointed.

The friendly staff welcomed us warmly and accompanied us to our table. The cleanliness of the entire restaurant area was impeccable, which contributed to a pleasant overall impression. It was obvious that the team attaches great importance to the hygiene and well-being of the guests. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the delicious three-course menu. Each course was a culinary masterpiece, characterized by fresh ingredients, sophisticated combinations and attractive presentation. The taste explosions on our palate exceeded our expectations. The visit by chef Marcel Tamm personally to our table was particularly impressive. His attentive nature and demand for our tastes demonstrate a high level of commitment and passion for the culinary art. It was clearly noticeable that he is proud of his dishes and strives to offer his guests a unique taste experience. The service at “Margarethe SCHÖNES LEBEN” was consistently excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly and professional. Die beiden Male die wir hier waren, lassen sich wie folgt beschreiben: Guter Preis, leckeres Essen, freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Sehr babyfreundlich - wir kommen gern wieder.

Wir sind durch Zufall nur dort hingekommen und werden auf jeden Fall nicht das letzte Mal da gewesen sein. Trotz, dass wir sehr knapp waren, hatten wir noch wahnsinnig leckeres Mittagessen - für einen angemessenen Preis. Das Ambiente ist außergewöhnlich gut und finde das gesamte Konzept sehr schön. Wir haben den vielen guten Rezessionen vertraut und wurden absolut nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig, das Ambiente ist modern im Retrostil und wir wurden sehr nett bedient. Gegessen haben wir die Sojanka, das Röstbrätl mit Kartoffelsalat und die Rinderroulade. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Gotha auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Waren spontan hier und haben uns von den positiven Google Bewertungen anlocken lassen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Man fühlt sich wie im vier Sterne Hotel und der Service ist super herzlich und aufmerksam. Essen war auch sehr gut. Hatten die vegetarischen Maultaschen und waren von der Menge an verschiedenen Zutaten überrascht. Ernährungsphysiologisch sehr wertvoll und genau die richtige Portionsmenge. Preis Leistung ist spitze. Man kann hier was kleines für 6€ oder was größeres für ~15€ essen.

Eine Bereicherung für die Gothaer Innenstadt! Ich war heute mit meinen Eltern spontan hier essen. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und wir konnten uns einen Platz aussuchen. Das Ambiente ist sehr geschmackvoll mit vielen historischen Bildern von Gotha. Okay, die Auswahl ist nicht riesig, was aber auf eine frische Küche hinwies. Als dann das Essen kam, war die Optik schon sehr überzeugend und der Geschmack ließ keine Wünsche offen. Der Koch hat sein Handwerk definitiv drauf. Preis-Leistung ist top. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schön gelegenes Restaurant mitten in der City mit echt gutem deutschen Essen. Die Angestellten sind nett, das "Outfit“ ist bestens eingerichtet. Ein paar Stunden sind dort schnell vergangen. Kann man beruhigt weiter empfehlen.
