Mangold Asian Pacific Cuisine Aachen Brand in Aachen

Auf der Homepage wirbt man mit "Liebevoll zubereitet" und einem euphorischen Text. Ich habe mich wirklich auf mein Asien-Erlebnis gefreut und wurde sehr enttäuscht. Schon als mir der Fahrer die Schale übergab, merkte ich, daß es nur lauwarm war. Beim Öffnen der Schale wurde ich noch mehr enttäuscht. Auf der einen Seite war lauwarmer Reis, auf der anderen Seite alle Komponenten aufeinander geklatscht. Das Essen war tatsächlich lauwarm, einiges sogar kalt.Liebevoll zubereitet sieht für mich anders aus. Ich kann nicht nachvollziehen, daß, wenn ich um 20:14 Uhr verschiedene gegrillte Speisen bestelle, diese bei Lieferung um 20:40 dermaßen abgekühlt bzw. ganz kalt sind. Für mich sah daß alles überhaupt nicht frisch aus. Eher aufgewärmt in der Mikrowelle. Beim Veggie-Mix stand nicht, daß er scharf ist. Ich darf nichts scharfes essen (mag sowieso nicht scharf). Das hat mir dann denn Rest gegeben und 18.90 € sind in den Mülleimer gewandert. Bevor ich öffentlich eine schlechte Rezension abgebe, schreibe ich zuerst immer den Dienstleister an, mit der Bitte um Stellungnahme. Ich habe leider keine Antwort bekommen.

Preferably no star, the food is inedible, tastes like old sushi that has been sitting there for a long time. The staff leaves a lot to be desired, you have the feeling you are in a schoolyard but not in a restaurant! Never again!!!

Nothing special in terms of ambience. Seating was very uncomfortable, there were two of us and we sat on uncomfortable stools without backrests. The starter (sushi) was ok. Main course (mixed chicken and beef with vegetables from the wok very spicy, over-seasoned for my taste. The staff was very friendly. Card payment not possible... an absurdity these days. Overall, no recommendation!

I've been there several times and am thrilled every time. The sushi quality is outstanding – fresh ingredients, perfectly rolled and beautifully presented. The creative sushi creations available here in particular make eating an experience. The selection is large, so there is something for every taste, and vegetarians will also find many delicious options. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The waiting times are also pleasantly short. If you love sushi, you definitely shouldn't miss Mangold Sushi. Clear recommendation!

Service was very nice. Unfortunately, two warm dishes were forgotten and they only came when asked, when the others at the table had already finished their sushi. Sushi was a complete disappointment… the rice fell apart & you couldn't eat it properly! And that was the case with every piece. We had ordered 10 different rolls and all of them were not rolled tightly enough. In addition, the ratio between filling and rice is 0. Way too much rice and not enough filling. If it had been an all-you-can-eat, I would have understood if the rice had been thicker, but with à la carte that's a no go... The food view have a good quantity.

Because of the good overall rating, we had dinner for two today (I seriously doubt the authenticity of the overall ratings) The ambience is beyond poor, which is no more than a chip shop can manage. Service was friendly, but in 1.5 hours we had no less than 5 different waiters for our table because there was a constant change. So one of them didn't know what the other had already discussed at the table. The food was “ok”, unfortunately nothing more. You can actually get better sushi in many stores for the same price. Soups and main courses were mediocre, but you don't actually have to eat out if you can cook for yourself to some extent. What was extremely disturbing for us was the “staff table” right in front of the door, where one of the staff was constantly playing with their cell phone, smoking or resting half lying on the table. A blast and an absolute no go. NO CARD PAYMENT in a restaurant that seats around 200 guests. When ordering at the beginning there was no mention of the fact that you can only pay in cash, and there is nothing about it in the menu either. It is completely hidden and inconspicuously posted on the glass window of the restaurant. Every second guest was surprised by this and then went to get cash on foot. Everyone can form their own opinion as to why payment is only allowed in cash in such a large restaurant. I definitely cannot recommend the store, I would even strongly advise against visiting it. There are enough alternatives that are better and will even work with card payments in 2024 😉.

We had dinner with nine people and everyone enjoyed it very much. Also for the older ones among us who have barely had any contact with Asian cuisine. The selection on the menu is extensive, there is very tasty sushi, delicious soups and the fish dishes also tasted extremely aromatic and fresh. The portions were large and nicely prepared. Only the beef was a bit tough in places. The noise in the restaurant was a bit disturbing, due to the occupancy and the tightly packed tables. Without prior reservation nothing would have been available. Despite the high occupancy, the service was fast and friendly, the food was on the table quickly and warm for all of us at the same time, the drinks were also at the right temperature, and the prices were reasonable to reasonable for the quality of the food. The ambience inside is modern, reduced to the essentials. Unfortunately, you can only sit outside directly at a large, busy traffic light intersection. This isn't really recommended if you want to concentrate on the really delicious food. The only point of criticism: Payment is only possible in cash. This is no longer up to date, even if there are several ATMs in the area. Otherwise a clear recommendation!

Celebrated my big sister's birthday yesterday and the team was super nice and helpful! The ambience was great, the food was great and the staff were the cherry on top! I'll be back!

I've been eating there regularly for years, but the quality has declined recently extremely diminished. Service is pretty weak, (don't even get me started on telephone service) Some of the food is very tasteless... It's a shame because the best Asian food in Aachen used to be served there (in my opinion).

Das Essen an sich ist in Ordnung, für den Preis jedoch eher mittelmäßig, daher eigentlich 3 Punkte. Da aber alle Bewertungen auf Google gelöscht werden, wenn sie unter 4 Sterne betragen, möchte ich hier ein wenig herumnörgeln.

As a family of 4, we regularly eat at Mangold. Everything always tastes fresh and delicious and is served beautifully on the plate.

Addendum: My original review has been deleted. And she had had 4 thumbs up signs. Other people have also been hit, just scroll down. So 3 stars became just 1 star. My shortened review: In one word - Disappointing. There were two of us there. We started with one soup each: Tom Kha Gai - too sweet, and miso soup - too salty. Gyoza didn't taste like anything, the sauce with it was extremely sweet. Wakame was okay, and a large portion. From rolls, we ordered Philly Inside Out, Salmon Sensation, Tuna Sensation and Unagi Dragon Roll. What is called "wrapped" in the menu is a small piece of fish on top. Philadelphia cheese in Philly Inside Out was a thin transparent layer around the nori. Tuna Sensation, which was supposed to be wrapped in "Spicy Tuna", had an extremely spicy pureed mixture on top. It was only similar in color to tuna and tasted horrible. Salmon was not pureed for "Salmon Sensation" but chopped into large pieces which was completely appropriate. Dragon rolls had the sweet sauce on them again, but were okay. As for the ambience, it was extremely cramped, loud and cold. The doors to the kitchen and outside were constantly open. At a table for two there is no space for jackets or handbags, except for the floor under the table. The only really good thing was the service: polite, quick, helpful and nice.

I liked Mangold a lot when we came to Brand in 2018. Sadly the quality decreased over the years and the prices went up way too much. The overall quality is still okay. The chicken in the curry had a strange dry texture/structure. Also no card payments are possible (it's 2024, come on at least accept PayPal)

Our review was deleted due to "defamation" even though it was true. We have enjoyed eating there for many years. Always tasty and good. However, there were always problems when ordering by phone. When we recently wanted to place an order for 5 people over the phone, we were treated so unfriendly by the employee that we ended up canceling the order and ordering somewhere else. A matching review (from my son) was actually deleted a few days later. There was nothing untrue in it! This is anything but professional. You should be able to deal with criticism differently. How about training the telephone staff in customer service?

Goes back in after 20 minutes. Man says: Woman has been confirmed that the order is ready! Answer: We have misplaced the receipt. Food will be ready soon. Dear people. I waited another 25 minutes. Your service is above all else. In such circumstances, every restaurant that values ​​its regular guests says as soon as the guest arrives: We have made a mistake. Your order is not ready. What are you drinking until your order is ready? My wife is what I would call a good customer. She always orders the same thing. Is misery patient. Then there is a tip even though the service is often questionable. Then no excuses are enough. You can immediately see that your work organization isn't working. One look is enough for me. So I can only wish you continued success. One customer alienated is 10 potential customers lost.

A PITY !!!!! We ordered 2 main courses and 2 side dishes. Pad Thai (No.63) and noodles with chicken (No.50) had almost no vegetables except for a few bean sprouts. According to the description it was supposed to be fresh vegetables, but they were completely missing. The taste was also very simple. The portions, however, were completely sufficient to fill you up. Overall, a disappointment for a hefty price that should definitely offer more.

Staff unfriendly. Extremely loud locally. The smell from the toilet comes all the way to the dining room. The food is full of sauce and flavor enhancers and completely covers the ingredients. Never experienced it!!! We ordered food on a Sunday. We were told on the phone we could be there in 50 minutes to pick it up. My wife then waited outside for a whopping 1.5 hours. When asked at half-hour intervals, she was told “a few more minutes.” Here she was made a fool of several times. There were some people outside with the same problem. When the food was finally ready, when my wife asked if the order was complete, she was assured that everything was there. When we got home we discovered that a portion was missing. My wife then drove back. Then we experienced the incredible. My wife called me and we were supposed to take a photo of the entire order and send it to her so that we could check whether a portion was actually missing (it doesn't make any sense, but ok). You are also portrayed as a parasite. Of course, with an additional waiting time of 1.5 hours, you feel like driving back again, not eating together as a family and, with an order value of around €70.00, having to eat a meal for €8.50. The “preparer” said the order was complete. Afterwards it turned out that the portion was actually missing and was then finished. No apology, no accommodation, NOTHING, etc. no, even a parting aside: “Have a nice evening”. We would rather starve than order there again!

We ordered our food online for 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. At 9:15 p.m. I called to ask when the food would be delivered. I was told the food was forgotten. Really great if you have to go to work at 9:30 p.m.

Not what it used to be for a long time. The food is at most lukewarm when you get it. The price-performance ratio hasn't been right for a long time, even if you know that everything is getting more expensive. The sushi rolls are so tiny that if you're hungry you might need 24-32 rolls to fill you up, and I'm not just talking about maki rolls with a few cucumbers in them. All in all, they live off their good reputation from the past, the only question is how long it will last...

I have to say, the legend of Mangold's spicy fried rice (#50 in spicy order) was my undoing. Rumor has it that the rice was cooked directly on the left fire of the Hell Gate, and I, a keen adventurer, thought to myself, "How bad can it be?" Answer: It's like making a pact with the culinary devil. I've survived the harshness of Thailand and other Asian countries, so I thought I could tame this dragon too. Wrong thought. The level of spiciness? Imagine consuming enough chilies to light up your hemorrhoids to the point where they could easily light an airport runway. Every grain of this rice is so inhumanly spicy that the slightest touch of the tongue sets off fireworks. After the first burning bite, I sprinted to the fridge, desperately reaching for milk like it was the holy grail of pain relief. In an act of sheer desperation, I downed about 400ml of the milky savior, only to find that the milk had drained and curdled. My taste buds were so numb that I didn't notice the disaster until it was far too late. Warning to anyone who thinks they have a steel rosette à la Giuseppe: this dish is the ultimate test. Even Giuseppe would probably wave the white flag and scream for milk. In short: If you love sending your taste buds into a witness protection program because you testified against the tough cartel, then you've come to the right place. For everyone else: Consider this rice an extreme culinary sport that only the bravest (or craziest) among you should attempt.

Over the course of several years I have eaten there or ordered there from time to time and every time there was something. Either I was completely forgotten, I was given the wrong food several times, the meat was not edible because it tasted bitter, sticky rice with coconut milk tasted like pineapple or the mango was completely forgotten. It's no longer fun in this hectic atmosphere. And especially not at this price. At 11 km they also want delivery costs of €10.

The starter was very tasty, except for the duck that I ordered. It was very dry and the cucumbers in the salad didn't look that fresh. My friend's chicken breast was probably very tasty. The staff at reception (a young man) wasn't very welcoming. Even though we had reservations, we only got a 2 hour slot. They could have told us that over the phone. Because we wanted to eat there comfortably and not under time pressure. I also had the impression that they were overwhelmed. It took a long time for the food to arrive and something was always forgotten.

Very disappointing!!!!! Been there for the first and last time! Very friendly service employee but "the restaurant manager" (responsible for reservations) was very unfriendly and arrogant. Our table was reserved for 6 p.m. At 7:50 p.m. when we wanted to order a new round of drinks, "the restaurant manager" unkindly informed us that we only had 10 minutes left, as a table could only be reserved for two hours... while we were still eating because our order took extremely long! We were constantly forgotten: starter & main course & drinks! We have not been told anywhere about these 2 hours of rhythm. Neither on the phone (when we made a reservation), nor at the table, in the menu or at the entrance. The food was OK. Starter very good! Main course: "goes like this": "My duck" was cold and very dry. It's a shame for our bad experience (Aachen Brand location) but there are so many great other restaurateurs who love what they do! Surprisingly, this information is very good and often presented...that's why we were very well prepared 😉 Aachen Brand is no comparison to the Mahngold Würselen location! Highly recommended ! I was in Aachen as a tourist and came across Mangold via a Google search for “Restaurant Aachen-Brand”. Although it makes a slightly chaotic impression when ordering in the open kitchen, our food was ready to be picked up promptly. Wonton was delicious, baked sushi - we had never tasted it before (not our taste - but the chard can't do that), spring rolls etc. Everything was top tip - we'd be happy to do it on our next visit to Aachen

I ordered my food online in advance at 6:54 p.m. I also received a confirmation that my food would be ready in 30 minutes. Of course I didn't show up there at 7:20 p.m. or 12 p.m. because I know it's sometimes busy I totally understand that, but I find it really bad that I arrive at 7:30 p.m. and wait exactly 15 minutes and still haven't had my food. Of course I left straight away and without my food. And then 3 minutes later I get an email saying that my order has been canceled because there is a lot going on! Okay, I could have saved myself the 15 minute wait if I had known in advance that they wouldn't be able to do it in time!

Unfortunately, yesterday's dinner was a huge disappointment. Not only was my companion's food cold, it was warmed up in the microwave, which further compromised the quality. The sushi was particularly disappointing and definitely not recommended. An overall disappointing dining experience.

5 for Brand, 4.5 for Würselen. Why? I ate the same food in Brand and Würselen. So delicious in fire I wanted the same in Würselen. No. 75 in Würselen was dry, mango was unripe and there were lots of raw mushrooms on it. 🍄 Since I'm highly allergic to Pulze, firstly I was just busy getting them out. The plate was unsuitable for salad and I kept dropping salad. My feedback was accepted and that was it 🤔 the ​​ambience in Würselen is a thousand times better than in Brand. Brand has snack/fast food atmosphere. Please don't stay long. What was the same in Brand and Würselen: fast and attentive service.

Traurig dass so ein qualitativer Laden nur durch die Angestellten absolut an Stil und Klasse verliert. Wir haben Mangold zu zweit besucht und neben uns saß noch ein Paar. Wir haben insgesamt 50 Minuten auf unser Essen gewartet, das kalt serviert wurde. Ich konnte im Augenwinkel sehen, dass unsere baked Rolls (die ich immer heiß serviert bekommen hatte) schon seit 30 Minuten fertig auf dem Tresen lagen, aber weil man sich noch schön miteinander unterhalten hat . So ein toller Laden und dann sowas. Naja haben gegessen, wenn auch kalt, bezahlt und am Ende wollte ich doch mal nachfragen wieso das Essen so lange da stand. Die Antwort: „ wir müssen unsere Lieferungen berücksichtigen, die neuen Automaten in der Pontstrasse müssen befüllt werden, das geht erst mal vor, sie haben sich eine schlechte Zeit ausgesucht“… alles klar. Reichte mir als Antwort. Nach 3 Jahren Stammkunde, war es das, weil ich nicht nur an diesem Tag unendlich lange gewartet habe, sondern immer so lange warte, wenn ich vor Ort bin. Mein Eindruck ist, dass Lieferungen sowieso Priorität haben. Zwei Sterne weil ich weiß das Besitzer/in viel Herzblut in ihren Laden reingesteckt haben und ich bin mir sicher sie weiß nicht was in ihrem Laden für ein Umgang stattfindet.

Sehr leckeres asiatisches Essen zum einem erschwinglichen Preis. Das Restaurant kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Nie wieder sehr unfreundlich Personal, wollten uns 3 Erwachsenen Frauen und zwei Kinder an einen kleinen Tisch für gerade mal 3kinder mit Trennwand dran setzen,nach dem wir uns beschwert hatten, ließ man uns links liegen

Trotz Reservierung zum Geburtstag wurden wir in das letzte Eck neben dem Notausgang und der Garderobe gesetzt. Nach Beschwerden dass so gut wie alle Plätze noch frei waren, haben wir einen anderen Tisch bekommen, bei dem die Terassentür offen war und es möchtig kalt war! Service ließ dann auch noch ewig auf sich warten, essen sowieso. Sushi war OK, aber nicht weltbewegend, die Atmosphäre kalt und FastFood-Restaurants sind gemütlicher ausgestattet. Kein Extra auf Geburtstagsessen oder was danach… Völlige Katastrophe und nie wieder für das Geld!!! Vorallem nicht nachdem den ganzen Abend alle gemütlicheren Sitzecken auch nicht mehr belegt wurden!

The staff here is super friendly, they always had a nice smile on when i went here. The food is amazing, it takes a while to come since its freshly prepared but thats totally worth it! I love going here with friends and so on, it just can get a littke noisy due to the street from time to time and sometimes the chairs start to get uncomfortable when sitting on them for a longer period of time. I can recommend.

Leckeres Essen, allerdings viel zu teuer, schlechter Service und herablassender Umgang mit Kunden.

Mittlerweile leider überteuert. Auch der Service hat sehr nachgelassen. Das Onlinebestellsystem ist nicht gut und zu teuer. Wenn dort bestellt wird, wird leider auch öfters mal was vergessen. Das ist bei mir passiert und bis jetzt hab ich immer noch keine "Entschädigung" erhalten

Sehr gutes Sushi und Reiswein, mir gefiel auch die Einrichtung des Lokals und die Art und Weise, wie die Gerichte serviert wurden. Ich bin zufrieden und werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Bei den ersten Bestellungen ...war das Essen richtig gut .....mein Mann hatte gebratene Nudeln mit Rind. Und ich Sushi. Das war beides wirklich gut. So die ketten 2 x war das Suski gut, hat aber auch einen guten Preis, das ist soweit o.k. Die gebratenen Nudeln haben geschmacklich...optisch . ..und verpackungsmässig sehr verschlechtert. Gestern kamen das Essen Recht spät und lauwarm bei uns an. Preis 44€. Die Frühlingsrollen waren laff und geschmacklos! Die gebratenen Nudeln mit Rind und der gebratene Reis mit Hühnche.... fettug....geschmacklos und in die Schaumstoffschake reingeknallt. So mein Mann hat seibs teils gegessen . Ich die fad schmeckenden und auch laffen Frühlingsrollen gegessen. Mein Essen habe ich komplett entsorgt! Das Auge ist ja auch mit und das ging gar nicht! Schade, das war das letzte Mal, das wir dort bestellt haben. Dafür ist es auch zu teuer.

Mangold brand ist wirklich schrott! Service ist katastrophal. Sehr unfreundliche Mitarbeiter. Richtig unmotiviert. Hören nicht richtig zu. Habe so lange auf das FALSCHE Essen gewartet. und musste sogar am ende mehr bezahlen.0 Punkte! Bin sehr enttäuscht!!! Mangold WÜRSELEN ist definitiv besser!

Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen. Das Sushi ist frisch und lecker. Die Bedienung freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir fahren extra immer wieder aus der Gegend von Düren dort hin um unser Sushi 🍣 zu essen. Also macht weiter in dieser Qualität und Freundlichkeit mit Vielen Grüßen Claudia und Brian

Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker, jedoch müsst ihr dort essen gehen. Zu Liefern ist der Horror! Wir haben 1h30m gewartet, für paar baked Sushis. Das ist aufjedenfall eine 6! Lieferanten wechseln 👍🏻
