Mangal Gemüse Kebap in Köln

The meat tasted very unpleasant and was very gristly. Afterwards, I had an unpleasant film of fat in my mouth and felt really sick. I won't subject myself to that again. I can't recommend this Mangal. There was something wrong with the meat.

Well, I'll be honest, I was with the other person at the train station and he was Baba. Unfortunately this one isn't good at all. Of course I still ate it because you can eat it but you should avoid it! Nevertheless, one should always say thank God that we were able to eat.

Yes, unfortunately old meat is always mixed in with new. Which is really a mix of cold and warm. The vegetables and tomatoes taste like they were from yesterday. The only good things are the sauces and the bun. Service is unfriendly and treats you condescendingly. Dear Lukas, please change something ;)

Meat is an absolute disaster, heavily seasoned but when you chew it has such a strange taste because the service is rubbish Amk I paid €20 then at least bring me my food. Lachmacun simply basic Lidl oriental week salad was at least fresh but tzatziki was simply sweet, for whatever reason fries were way too salty but crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. So how the store gets bad reviews is really questionable to me. It's not for nothing that it's always full and there are almost always 5 employees working at the same time. (Unfortunately there is still a waiting time) A bit more expensive than other kebabs, but good portions, great sauces and even really clean seats at this location

I ordered via Uber Eats today. The cola was not brought. Reported to Uber Eats, refunded money. But the Poldi kebab (for almost €9 each) 3 out of 3 tastes like a stable. Anyone who knows what poor quality lamb tastes like knows exactly what I mean. That disgusting aftertaste of stable. 3 out of 3 were not edible. Thrown money in the trash. Simply bad.

You can go here in an emergency when nothing else is open, but the shop is not really recommended. The meat appeared to be of poor quality, was very fatty and had an unconvincing taste. I can't understand all the hype at all - there are clearly better kebab shops, especially in Cologne. The store was also quite dirty, which made the entire experience unpleasant. Overall, it seems to be more about good marketing than actual quality.

After three people said they didn't want the meat from the old dry skewer (which had obviously been set up for the second time), the meat was simply cut off and placed under the appetizing skewer that was only half consumed. The next customer who also said she would have preferred meat from the other skewer was of course heard and then unknowingly received the old meat. Really rude and disgusting.

The food is so bad, it's really a joke 😂 the name attracts tourists but nothing more. The Dürüm dough is the one I bought from Lidl 😂 it tastes and smells exactly the same. Meat way too thick. A normal kebab from a no-name snack bar tastes a thousand times better!

That was really disappointing, if Podolski didn't have his name behind it the place would be closed. The meat had no flavor at all, the sauce wasn't enough and it still ate the bread. The bread was probably homemade but not tasty either. Use normal flatbread and put it on the grill and not some lukewarm crap. The best thing was, without a lie, the sheep's cheese and at €1 it was also too expensive. The usual price is 50 cents The kebab looks delicious and the plate also looks good, but that doesn't make any difference. There is a good reason why the heart club sells kebab from another chain in the stadium. The great self-pay checkout is also unnecessary if the employees can't count the money themselves and they shouldn't make kebabs either. The machine that counts the money automatically hasn't taken my money for ages, which is taking longer than before.

When my wife and I wanted to eat there, we joined the queue as normal and had to wait a while. Apparently friends of the employees came after us and got in line behind us. However, the employees served these people directly and completely ignored us and three other customers. The employees' friends got four or five kebabs before it was even our turn. A woman who was in line after me then complained but was also ignored. From what I heard, she was even insulted by the employees among themselves. She ultimately left the restaurant without eating. My wife and I still received our two kebabs, but the behavior of the employees was very disappointing. Because of this experience we will no longer visit the restaurant.

Visit cologne every year to see family and this place is always a must visit. The meat and chicken is very good however sometimes can be dry but usually it’s always decent. With salad and mix of sauces it’s very tasty

The kebab is delicious as always. Unfortunately the staff here was super unfriendly. They argued on some language behind the counter. Some guests had a Sharpie marker to write on their kebabs. After labeling, the employee dropped the Edding into the sauce. The Sharpie was taken out and the sauce was not replaced.

Because the chicken wasn't cooked through, I asked the gentleman at the checkout for a lamb kebab. When he finished taking the order, payment came. Unfortunately, the "high-tech" coin counter inexplicably swallowed a lot more money than the food cost. In retrospect, however, that was not the decisive point for the negative criticism. When it comes to choosing salad and sauce, you quickly notice that it is an undercooked chicken kebab. Of course I brought this up, but found that even the man at the checkout denied all this nonsense. Even though I ordered FROM HIM. I must have ordered a chicken kebab. I wasn't offered a new kebab. Why... I'm just a customer. Of course the kebab was not eaten. As mentioned, the meat was not cooked through. I didn't feel like getting foodborne illness either. Horrible experience.

The kebab is okay, not outstanding. The sauces are pretty average, as are the toppings. Since I don't eat meat, I can't judge the quality. What really bothers me is the poor hygiene in the store. The tables are barely or not at all wiped down and the toilets stink. The vegetables and sauces simply look unhygienic. The staff are average, not friendly but not unpleasant either.

I myself was once at Mangal in Kalk and never again. Go to Nimet or Saana because Saana in particular has an oriental fair. The Mangal kebab in lime has become inedible. The meat is inedible, partially burnt and has no taste. The bread is terribly weak and not crispy like it used to be. I usually really like the kebab and this time, as usual, I took a detour from the A3 on my way from Holland to Frankfurt to eat at Mangal. Unfortunately this time everything was different than usual. I bought a takeaway kebab from Mangal today and would like to leave a review. Unfortunately the quality is no longer what it once was. The bread was very dry, the meat didn't taste good anymore, and the sauces were sometimes overflowing. Overall, Mangal lacks quality. I prefer to go to the old, established kebab shops that have a good reputation. The name Mangal once stood for quality, but in recent times it has waned considerably. I also observed that an employee picked up some meat with a fork and ate it while working. This is neither polite nor hygienic. In addition, the employees hardly speak any German. When you ask a question, they often only understand the basics like "doner kebab with salad" or "without salad". For everything else there are communication problems. You should know that.

They wanted to charge 45 euros when paying for three things, then they pointed this out to them several times and then they reduced the price to 25 70 euros under process. This was probably not the first time that they had asked for a price if people weren't paying attention.

Overall the food was pricey as well as inedible. Podolski's meat was dry and shriveled up. Veggies were not fresh at all. And don't even get me started about their condiments... I've had better doner for 30% less and was able to actually eat my food without a gag reflex. The stuff needs some education on proper customer service. Stay away! ALSO on a lighter note: I have just received a complaint from the owner via Google asking me to change or delete my review OR ELSE. My answer is: NOPE, If I could lower the rating to 0 I would definitively do it now. Bring in the lawyers.

This is my fourth time here and I have to say the pizza is the same every time. It's a new experience every time you bite into this pizza and even after the fourth visit it feels like it's the first time. The boss is very personable and was on site during every visit. The only thing I have to complain about is that we ordered take away and despite being there at the time we were told we weren't allowed to wait inside for those 5 minutes even though it was cold outside. (Was not ordered by the boss, the cashier said so). It's definitely worth a visit! Price-performance ratio is absolutely fair!

Dreckig. Unfreundlich. Unkonzentriert. Unstrukturiert. Eines Lukas Podolskis absolut unwürdig. Leider muss ich alle negativen Kommentare bestätigen. Frischer Salat sieht anders aus. Fleisch o.k., aber nichts besonderes und knapp bemessen. Brötchen in Ordnung, aber klein und teuer.

Der Döner ist in Ordnung aber preislich leider extrem hoch. Das Fleisch ist mitunter sehr fettig. Die Preise sind leider exorbitant hoch. Ich habe zudem nach einem Teller gefragt, um meine Portion Pommes zu teilen, die knapp 7€ mit Mayonnaise kostet, was leider abgelehnt vom Personal. Rund about kann man sagen, dass es definitiv besser Adressen gibt. Auch wenn ich Poldi natürlich mag.

Kurz und knapp: Personal unfreundlich und unmotiviert. Tische und Boden voll Müll und Essensresten. Über das Dönersandwich hätte sich jeder Vegetarier gefreut, da kaum Fleisch darauf war. Alles in allem ist der Laden in Kall nicht zu empfehlen.

Schon beim Reinkommen in den Laden fehlt ein freundliches "Hallo" (das fehlt bei der Verabschiedung leider auch als Antwort). Das Personal wirkt unmotiviert und alle sind unfreundlich und gehetzt. Die Tische waren fast alle dreckig, Fleisch muß man auf dem Döner suchen. Das war wirklich sehr wenig. Für den Preis war der Döner auch nicht der Größte, muß ich sagen. Bei der Salattasche mussten wir den Käse extra erbetteln (kassierten für die Frage aber einen genervten Blick), obwohl wir das direkt mit angegeben haben. Meine Tochter und ich waren zum ersten Mal bei Mangal und muß da echt nicht nochmal hin. Hauptsächlich wegen der unangebrachten Art der Mitarbeiter. Wir haben uns wirklich nicht Willkommen gefühlt dort. Schade. Als absoluter Poldifan hatte ich mich echt darauf gefreut. Aber das hat mit Poldu echt rein gar nichts zu tun. Der Mangal in Kalk sieht uns bestimmt nie wieder. Hätten wir mal vorher die Rezensionen gelesen. Ich kann alles nur bestätigen. Die Gabeln taugen nichts, Messer gibt es erst gar nicht (wobei wir auf Nachfrage eins geliehen bekommen haben....wirklich der einzige Pluspunkt).
