We had booked a table for four people, and despite the holiday, they were kind enough to allow us to bring two more people at short notice. The staff was very pleasant, our three-year-old child was the first to get his food, and the chairs are very comfortable. The food was nice and hot and we all enjoyed it. Thank you very much, we're already looking forward to our next time.

The food was excellent once again. The service was very attentive and friendly. The only downside was that the guests at the next table had three dogs, two of which were even sitting on the chairs at the table. The third was constantly running around the restaurant.

We celebrated my mother's milestone birthday there with 17 people in a private room. The buffet at the special price of €29.00 was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly. All the guests enjoyed the atmosphere, making it a truly wonderful evening. Many thanks again to the entire Mandarin team for their excellent service.

I was just about to order food for pickup. Unfortunately, I got a very, very unfriendly, almost rude woman on the phone. I almost felt like I had to apologize for wanting to use her service. Apparently, wanting to order more than one dish was too much. She made it clear with a dismissive snort that I wasn't welcome. After more curt replies and taking my order, I pointed out that I didn't necessarily have to order from there, at which point she simply hung up. Absolutely rude and unprofessional. I've always been very satisfied with the staff, the food, and everything else. What a shame.

We felt very comfortable. The first thing everyone noticed was the decor. Modern, yet very cozy; everyone especially liked the chairs. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone. The quality of the food is excellent; everyone was delighted. The portions were generous, and I even had some left over to reheat the next day. The staff are all consistently very friendly. We've eaten there many times and will continue to do so.

Unfortunately we had to wait 15 minutes for our ordered table, which was a challenge with two small children at lunchtime. Then it took a very long time for the food to arrive, so unfortunately I had to leave after 1.5 hours when my main course was first served. Luckily the other family members had more time.... But again: With small children it definitely took too long, so unfortunately we have to think about getting together with the family again on Sundays.

The food is always very good. Even the small portions are still quite large and filling. The service is very friendly, courteous, and attentive. Every visit so far has been truly excellent. An absolute favorite restaurant in Hildesheim!

I initially had an issue with my meal because the meat was stringy, but it was immediately resolved with a new meal, which was excellent 👍 hence 5 stars. Very nice, friendly, attentive team 👍 The atmosphere was very inviting and cozy 👍 The only thing I would like to say is that I would have preferred a separate plate where I could have portioned out the main course and rice myself, as the main course took up the entire plate and the rice didn't have to find space on the edge (I ordered a normal size and there was plenty of it 😃) But otherwise, everything was great 👍 We'd be happy to come back 😃

I had indicated when making the reservation that we wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary there, and upon arrival, we were immediately congratulated, and our table was beautifully decorated. The meal was excellent. It began with a very tasty welcome from the kitchen and continued just as wonderfully deliciously and quickly. The ambiance is very stylish and cozy. Even the tableware consists not of the usual white plates and tealight warmers, but of modern, carefully selected colorful service. In any case, this restaurant is an absolute 10 out of 10!

Hello! We were there with our two daughters on our 17th wedding anniversary on October 3rd. We chose the earliest possible time slot (5:30 p.m.) for dinner because we don't like eating late. It was very quiet at first, and we placed our entire order (drinks, appetizers, and main courses) quite quickly. The drinks and appetizers arrived quite promptly, with a greeting from the kitchen. Then, however, it got busier and louder, and we had to wait almost 1.5 hours between the appetizer and the main course, which we thought was far too long. The quality of the food was good to very good; however, our daughter felt that the shrimp were a bit too soft (undercooked?), which I could confirm, as my dish was also the same. We also had the impression that the service was very busy that evening, and no one came to our table between the appetizer and the main course. I am fully aware that this is a unique snapshot, as we have had much better experiences with Mandarin in the past.

Thank you for allowing us to celebrate our wedding anniversary in such a beautiful setting. Due to the holiday, it was quite busy, and the reservation was definitely worth it. The food, with its high-quality dishes, was amazing as always, the service was super friendly, and we'd love to come back, as always. THANK YOU FOR THE LOVELY EVENING AND KEEP IT UP!👍

We always enjoy eating here because the staff are so friendly, young, and energetic. The food is always high-quality and fantastic, as is the ambiance! The portion sizes are also above average, so everyone can eat their fill.

One of the best Asian restaurants I've ever been to. The portion sizes are very large. It's a bit more expensive, but it's worth it. For this reason, the lunch specials on Fridays and Saturdays are especially worth it.

Even though it may have taken a bit long for the food to arrive... the wait was definitely worth it, and thanks to the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, the wait wasn't bad at all. The prices are reasonable for the size and quality of the portions. We'd be happy to come back and highly recommend this restaurant.

There were four of us there. The food was delicious, but the soups were only lukewarm. We all ordered small portions. But when we paid, two of us were asked to pay the full price.

The food was very salty, there was too little rice, and the smoked tofu was hard and rather rubbery. Rather disappointing, unfortunately.

The FIRST, but not the last time! We booked a table online for lunch on a Friday. It was super easy and went smoothly. The ambiance is rather simple and straightforward; you weren't overwhelmed by the typical Far Eastern frills. The service is very friendly, prompt, and attentive. Now for the food – a dream... never had such delicious Far Eastern food before, and then eaten it all. We were so impressed that we tried the "pickup service" two days later – and what can I say, it was fantastic. Uncomplicated – called, ordered, picked up... the food was still piping hot even when we got home, the packaging was environmentally friendly, and everything went smoothly. Finally, a Chinese restaurant to our liking, we'd happily go back.

We have always given 5 stars for years, but unfortunately we were disappointed on our last visit. A bad-tempered waiter took the food after 20 minutes - ordered a small portion for lunch. After another 20 minutes, the starter. Another 30 minutes later the main course. Question: Is this a small portion? YES! When we were eating we were informed that unfortunately the portions were large. The large portions were calculated because we would have eaten the dish???? With objection and great surprise, we paid the bill. It's not about a few euros, but about the way. Other guests have also particularly complained about the long waiting times. We hope that this was an exception (unfortunately the owner was not there). Change August 16, 2023: Owner reported. Everything has been sorted out!

As always, the service was very friendly. We were able to see the new staff for the first time and congratulate Katharina and Ben on their team. There's nothing to say about the food other than perfect.

I don't know of a better restaurant in Germany. I've never eaten a better spring roll, and I discover a new highlight on the menu every time. That's why I'm happy to drive from Hanover to Hildesheim just for the food. 👍

Absolutely terrible. First, they wouldn't let us eat at all, even though the store had been open for another 45 minutes. Then, even though I'd ordered small portions, they simply made us large portions. Then they put together a meal that looked like we were eating leftovers. Not a single vegetable, just a little shredded raw cabbage. The chicken was so overcooked that the breading was dark brown, and the chicken meat was dry. It was so saturated with fat that I was throwing up that evening. The rice was soggy, watery, and unsalted. The sauces were also inedible. My conclusion: we'll never visit the store again.

We were able to enjoy an excellent Peking duck today. The duck was wonderfully crispy, the soup as a starter was a poem, and the intermediate course was a dream. The super friendly, dedicated team explained everything, explaining how to eat each dish and how it was prepared. Each sauce was explained in detail, and any spiciness was pointed out. A young, friendly, attentive, and dedicated team was waiting for us. Despite the summer temperatures, they were super nice, funny, and friendly and offered excellent service. Therefore, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ of ❤️, but you deserve ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, keep it up 😁👍🙏

I ordered Peking duck for three people on February 28th and we were completely satisfied. It's super nice service, the food is absolutely great. We would be happy to come back any time. And everything was cooked super fresh.

We were there on Saturday, the restaurant was completely booked, the staff is always very attentive and friendly, our meal, apart from the soup from the menu, took almost an hour and 20 minutes, we think our table, we were sitting on the right in the room, was simply forgotten, that can happen, but it would have been great if we had received information from the service that it would take a while to eat, anything can happen, but we were really about to leave.... Otherwise, the food was super delicious as always!

I invited my wife over for her birthday dinner today. A disappointment. I had T4 crispy duck with mushroom cream sauce refined with Hennesy W. Over half of my food went back. The armchairs have a single pump. Showed this to the waiter using my fork. No reaction. The duck is far from crispy. It's impossible that no one came with an apology. On the contrary, I had to pay the full price. A glass of wine 0.2 = €9
