The food at Manam is delicious and very authentic. However, a major drawback is the pricing, which has recently become quite outrageous. I love Tom Kha Gai, which you can find in very high-end restaurants for €9-12. At Manam, you get a small appetizer portion with relatively little actual food for a whopping €18.20! as part of a delivery order. This is absolutely unjustified. With this pricing, I can only give them a maximum of 3 stars. …Adjustments are advisable if they don't want to alienate customers.

My absolute favorite dish (the only one I've ordered so far, and it tastes amazing): #31. Khao Niaw Muh Yang I love it – highly recommended!

Manam is and remains one of the best Thai restaurants in Munich. I've been a fan since day one. Unfortunately, the portions, especially for takeaway, are getting smaller and smaller, while the prices are getting higher. Of course, food prices are also getting more expensive, but in my opinion, these increases have gone a bit too far. Therefore, unfortunately, I'm deducting a star for value for money.

After 40 minutes of waiting, you realize they're out of rice... Maybe you should consider not accepting in-house guests if you prioritize Wolt orders.

Authentic Thai cuisine. Small and, at first glance, perhaps not in keeping with Munich's chic scene, but the best Thai food in town. From pad Thai to papaya salad to sticky rice with mango, everything is top-notch. The few tables are full at lunchtime, but you can also takeaway.

Manam is simply a true street food joint! The shop is maybe 50 square meters, including the kitchen. There's maybe 10 seats. Reservations aren't available, and for years, payment has only been in cash. The service is fast, and sometimes a bit rude, but that's part of the street food experience, and part of its charm! 😀

I used to come here quite often. Very authentic and excellent Thai food. Last week, however, was a huge disappointment. The portions are getting smaller and smaller, the taste wasn't as good anymore, and there was another outrageous price increase as of June 1, 2025, from €9 to €14. Middle portions of rice also cost extra. I paid €28 for two dishes at lunch without a drink, sitting on a metal stool... What a shame, it used to be different. This was definitely my last visit.

The seats outside were unfortunately very unpleasant (odour from next door). The staff were unpleasantly rude and cheeky. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. The menu is very confusing and when I asked for a new plate because my food was swimming in an unpalatable salty sauce, they wanted extra money! Just for the plate. Even though I had already tipped them. Absolutely unfriendly and not made for a restaurant job.

Unfortunately, the food had an extremely salty and vinegary sauce. The aggressive response to my request for a fresh plate so I could save the still-edible food was that I should pay €1.50 for it. Wow!

Please don't tell anyone that this is the best street food in Munich.

The Pad Thai was dripping with fat, the three crumbs of tofu were burnt, as was the egg. It's a shame, as the restaurant had been recommended by many IG influencers, but this was truly a complete disaster in terms of taste.

A real "street food" shop with a (subjectively) unpleasant smell when you walk past – that's what put us off going there for a long time. However, according to TikTok, this is supposed to be the best Pad Thai in Munich. But: DEFINITELY NOT. It's okay, but nothing outstanding. You can only pay with cash, which is really out of date.

Just ordered. How does anyone think of 1) cooking something like that and then 2) saying it'll come out like that? Completely dried-out chicken, the curry completely oversalted, and completely flavorless.

For some reason, the Thai people who come here are always snooty and not at all friendly. It's not like Thailand, and besides, they sell everything at very high prices. I can't recommend it anymore.

We wanted to go to the new Thai noodle shop at Rosenheimer Platz but it hadn't opened yet - they're still being renovated. We ended up at Manam. The food is so-so. Paneang - my colleague said they might have made a mistake with the sauce. Didn't have much to do with Panang. Another colleague had Pad Prik Gaeng - okayish. The ก๋วยเตี๋ยว, or noodle soup (with chicken), had no depth of flavor. When it comes to food, I don't care whether people who have been on five holidays call it authentic (it wasn't, and they weren't exotic or unusual dishes, just standard fare), but it didn't have potential to become a regular restaurant. It's quite small and probably OK for a snack, but just about 3 stars for us.

I asked nicely for something and was treated unfriendly and aggressively - even by the owner - as if asking something was forbidden. Unfortunately, the food is no longer recommended because the portion (which had already become smaller after Corona) has become smaller again. But taste is still ok.

Unfortunately I have to say that my last visit to Manam Restaurant was disappointing. The restaurant is very small, which makes the entire room stink, but combined with the unfriendly staff it quickly becomes unpleasant. The boss is always unfriendly, and the rest of the staff doesn't help to improve the mood - the service is often rude and disinterested, especially when ordering. The food, which used to be really good, has noticeably deteriorated. The quality and taste varies with each visit, which is especially disappointing knowing it used to be much better. You simply can no longer rely on the dish to consistently taste good. The preparation and seasoning do not seem to have a fixed line, which makes the meal rather unsatisfying. All in all, Manam is no longer what it used to be. The small, cramped restaurant, coupled with the unfriendly service and the poor food, unfortunately makes the visit not recommended.

Manam was once truly one of the best addresses for authentic Thai cuisine. Unfortunately there is nothing left of it. The constant loss of quality has now reached a point that is sad. My pasta had an unpleasant aftertaste, which is caused by burning fat when grilled on a flame, and was just about edible. The portion was tiny. You've never been served, but unfortunately you can tell from the poor woman's eyes that she's no longer interested. You can no longer see anything of Thai friendliness. In addition, there is a broken ventilation that still runs and makes a terrible noise. You can help yourself very pragmatically by simply opening the door for ten minutes. With temperatures around zero degrees, it's quite a refreshing experience if you sit next to the door. I wish you much success 🍀👍

I waited a relatively long time for a noodle soup that tasted completely boring and bland. It was just noodles, tofu and a few vegetables with hot water poured over them, without any fresh herbs or anything to add flavor. Charging 12 euros for this is absolutely unjustified!

Been coming regularly over the last 8 years thanks to our addiction to their pad thai. The best Thai food in Munich (and we’ve tried many, including the top rated ones). Top dish - pad thai (add the crispy duck) Second - pad kee mao Rad na and pad see ew is also good. Place smells of fish sauce and a very authentic street style hole-in-the-wall, but the food is totally worth it, for serious foodies not for posh poodles looking for top service.

Very salty. Lokenyou spilled the whole package of salt and I politely asked them to atleast rince off thr soup all they reply were that this is how they serve. Under-educated way of communication in Thai, shockingly rude to the customer from your own country. Just simply horrible all around experience. ( my son was coughing and the waitress and the cook keeps complaining and asked me to put face mask on him, but say absolutely nothing to the guy at the next table who was blowing his nose, why???)

The ambience is plain and simple. Reminds me of the street bars in Vietnam. They have their own charm. The meal: red curry with rice, tofu, vegetables and coconut milk. 12 euros. Slightly spicy. The portion was just right for me. Others might find them small. The price is completely okay. These people also want to make a living from their work. What impressed me: Shortly before the store closed, a larger group announced itself. They politely and firmly pointed out that they were at 9 p.m. close. So the group could decide whether they wanted to eat in 25 minutes. I think that's good. To protect yourself. If we don't do it, there will be people who will throw it away like an old bag. They are not interested in what happens to other people and to our nature. We are part of it and worth protecting.

Street food but with the possibility of having the meal on site. Some tables inside and some outside. Basic but fast and precise service. Possibility to pay only in cash. Very good food!!

Normally I never rate but I just wanted to share this experience. Ordered baked chicken sate take away and a half-empty sauce bowl, 80% breading over the totally tough meat. I have NEVER had to choke down anything worse. An immediate complaint in the store unfortunately only resulted in the staff being defiant. For 13 euros, a disgrace in terms of food and service. Instead of making me an offer to simply remake the dish in an acceptable version or to refund me the money, I was instead offered that I could call the police. I have never experienced anything like this in any city in Germany or Thailand.

Used to be a good place to get cheap food. Unfortunately, prices are not rising as much as quality. I think charging €3 for a little more rice or €5 for a larger portion is too much.

We ordered 2 takeaway dishes and the portions were very small. You charge good money so you can expect more. Not to mention the quality of the rice is rather cheap. No, for the money there is better not far away!!!

The most authentic Thai restaurant in Munich. In my experience, it's close to the cuisine in Thailand: if you order spicy food, you get spicy food and the ingredients are fresh. The ambience is in the style of street food shops in Southeast Asia. If you like to cure your backpacking wanderlust while sitting on small plastic chairs with papaya salad, this is the perfect place for you.

Food range from okay to not so okay subject to the cook at work. The service is terrible. Prices have increased to a ridiculous level for a place like this. May also be good to clean the place properly now and then - everything is rather sticky. If you eat inside you will for sure need to wash your clothes afterwards. We won’t come back here ever again.

Had takeaway spring rolls and red Thai curry with chicken. Spring rolls for 9 (!!!) euros - I expected something great. I received 3 mini spring rolls that were barely filled...very disappointing. My red Thai curry had so little sauce that I thought it had leaked a little. For 12 euros I don't expect a monster portion but this amount is just bold and cheeky. Never again. I then went to the other Asian restaurant around the corner and got something decent to eat to fill me up.
