My all time favourite pasta place in Berlin with some of the friendliest people working there! Every day they offer either a vegetarian or meat based pasta for a reasonable price. To that extent, their coffee remains truly Italian in terms of quality and price, meaning that an espresso still costs less than 2 euros. A must go if you want to taste a bit of Italy in Berlin.

Super tasty and always great service! Today the Prosciotto Foaccia was out and they made me a Classico without hesitation! That's service! I thought I would attach the current menu.

I can guarantee you that your plate will look like this no matter what you get. I tried their sfogliatine and saccottini el cioccolato. Both were too delicious and I forgot to take a picture. And the espresso - 10/10

Original Sicilian pasta and pizza, highly recommended! There is a changing daily special every day, including a meat-free option. Service always with a smile! Maybe the best coffee in the neighborhood.

Delicious food, stylishly prepared. Tasty and aromatic coffee together with velvety soft milk foam made the latte macchiato a real experience :) The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is in the original Italian style - super friendly and warm.

Every time I hear Berliners complain that there's "no good food" in this city, or that the food is bland, or "cooked without love", I always feel like I'm somehow visiting or living in a different city than them. If you're willing to look, and try small spots you'd otherwise maybe walk past, you'll stumble across some of the most stunning and wholesome dining experiences you'll have in any major city. The perfect embodiment of this exact phenomenon is Mama Maria's. How can you claim a mother's cooking, so beloved by her son that he quit his otherwise lucrative officr job and shifted to running a small Cafe with her, isn't an operation bursting at the seams with passion and love?!! The food itself couldn't be more delicious. It's clearly a passionate endeavor, done by a skillful cook. The service is so genuine and kind you might even mistake it as something of a show - when in reality, this is an operation fueled by the immense pride and passion, which can't help but be expressed joyfully. Genuinely, this place exceeds all expectations.

Obsolete fantastic dishes would always visit if I lived in Berlin

Delicious cornetti with cream or sacottini with chocolate filling 🤤 can be enjoyed with a good café like in Italy! The focaccias taste good too! I haven't tried pasta dishes yet, but I will soon! Familiar and very nice atmosphere! Recommended 👌😉

Just get the pasta of the day, everyday. The absolute best Italian pasta in Berlin I have had. Focaccia is also very, very good.

It was really delicious, service fast and super nice. Pasta could have more meat but still tastes delicious.

My vegetarian pasta lunch for €9.30 was unfortunately below average and disappointing. The taste was boring and the noodles were clearly overcooked. I can hardly cook at all and I can do it better...

This is my happy place and the reason I’m looking forward to my lunch break. Whatever you pick, you just can’t go wrong cause it’s not some mediocre restaurant food but a fresh homemade delight. My favorites are spicy salami focaccia and truffle pasta: the portion is huge and the creamy sause is just delicious. All the workers and especially Francesco are always friendly and helpful which instantly puts a smile on your face right as you enter, I went there more than 10 times already and there was never an exception, even when it’s crowded and things get stressful.

Ohne die guten Google Bewertungen hätte ich diesen Laden nie gefunden. Von Außen sieht der Laden nach nicht viel aus, von innen auch nicht meins. Als ich dort war, war das Tagesgericht (nachfragen!) Penne mit Spinatcreme, Parmesan und wahlweise gerösteten Mandeln oder Prosciutto Cotto. Francesco hinter dem Tresen hatte bei der Beschreibung so leuchtende Augen, dass die Wahl leicht fiel. Ich habe die vegetarische Option gewählt und wurde von einem sehr guten Gericht überrascht, mit auf den Punkt al dente gekochten Nudeln. Das i-Tüpfelchen wäre gewesen, wenn es die in Deutschland so seltenen Penne Lisce anstatt Penne Rigate gewesen wären, aber das ist natürlich persönliche Präferenz. Die mitessenden Kinder hatten die Focaccia Margherita, eine Pizza wie in vielen Bewertungen hier geschrieben hat das Bistro nicht zu bieten. Die Focaccia wird bei Bestellung fertig gebacken. Die anderen Foccace sahen wesentlich interessanter aus, die Dreijährigen sahen das anders. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, gute Küche und interessanter als die meisten Pizzastück-Aufwärmer auch.

Excellent Italian pasta! Light, not too heavy. They have a very limited menu, but focus on delivering top-quality with friendly service. Worth going to!

Ich liebe dieses kleine aber sehr wundervolle und authentische Bistro. Meines Erachtens gibt es in ganz Berlin keinen italienischeren Ort als diesen. Das Personal spricht überwiegend Italienisch miteinander und auch nicht sehr gut Deutsch, was es noch authentischer macht. Und alle sind super lieb. Die Focaccia sind immer lecker, aber unbedingt auch nach dem Mittagsangebot fragen. Tipp: Bargeld mitbringen, keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Ansonsten ist der nächste Sparkassen-Geldautomat ein paar hundert Meter weiter. WC vorhanden.

Locale carino a gestione familiare, pulitissimo e ben frequentato. L'offerta è focalizzata su pasta e focaccia, ma in estate ci sono anche ottime insalatone. E non mancano le torte fatte in casa! La mattina è un'ottima opzione per fare colazione con cornetto e cappuccino (cappuccino VERO, con la crema di latte invece che con la schiumetta solita delle Bäckerei che sembra quella del sapone), e naturalmente ci sono alternative senza lattosio e vegane. I piatti di pasta vengono sempre previsti nella versione tradizionale e in quella vegetariana, e cambiano giornalmente. Ci sono alcune ricette fisse (tipo: il lunedì carbonara), ma in cucina sono sempre pronti a fare di tutto per accontentare le esigenze più varie. I condimenti sono preparati giornalmente con ingredienti sempre freschi, e ciò giustifica abbondantemente i prezzi. La focaccia è incredibilmente buona: croccante, friabile e saporita, sempre fatta al momento. Le insalate sono anche gustose, perché gli ingredienti arrivano dai posti giusti, invece che dai soliti fornitori che coprono Berlino con verdure che sembrano di plastica. Il personale è disponibilissimo e meravigliosamente cortese, e dedica le attenzioni giuste ad ogni tipo di clientela: dai professionisti in pausa pranzo con poco tempo per mangiare, alle famiglie con bimbi vivaci e poco pazienti, agli hipster berlinesi dalle esigenze alimentari più creative. Questo posto è una piccola perla di Berlino...

Ce lieu est juste incroyable ! Au début j'étais un peu sceptique sur la note du restaurant mais maintenant je comprends, le serveur est trop gentil et la nourriture est vraiment bonne et assez peu cher. Ce genre d'endroit me fait reprendre espoir en l'humanité !

Found Mama Maria's while wandering around looking for a used bike to buy. An excellent find. The pizza/foccacia was really good, everything freshly made. The bread was the best; nice, tasty, light and airy. The service was great. Authentic Italian.

I could easily say that it is the best focaccia in the whole city of Berlin. The pastries and sweets are handmade. If you like an authentic Italian place, you have to eat and taste everything they make.

Just amazing experience. Small restaurant, short menu. Very assertive. The food is extremely delicious. The place is cozy and clean. And a huge difference in the region cause the service is excellent. Was the first place that I felt good in Berlin. The others were not nice at all.

Italian style place .good cakes,sandwiches and focaccias. Also making lasagne and warm dishes (which i didnt try ) Mostly hand made and usualy fresh. Nice variety.. also vegan Friendly. usefull and kind staff, well maintained and clean kitchen and toilets. Overall its a good place for walk in's to grab smt to eat if your'e around Frankfurter alee. When I lived in Berlin this was legit my daily routine. Capuccino and a little sandwich in the morning and evenings I'd sit on the terrace and have wine and foccacia. The family that runs the player is super sweet (I'd leave my keys with them if I had a friend arriving and I had to work). 11/10

The cappucino alone will make me a regular. Such a breath of fresh air from snobbish hipster coffee shop that charge almost 4 euro a cup around f-schain. They also serve amazing focaccia with different toppings and daily changing pasta. Topped with high standard of hygiene and obedience to covid protocol. LOVE 1 minor flaw: they have the most inconvenient opening hour. You cannot get early morning breakfast, you cannot go on weekend

Wow, I've only been once but I'm glad I finally got to try this place out. You just can't beat a proper Italian run place for quality and traditional Italian comfort food. Popped in recently to try what they had on offer and went for the Mortadella Foccacia and it was gorgeous! The Mortadella melted in the mouth in the most beautiful way. It was so light and tasty. The Foccacia bread itself was golden, soft yet crunchy. Coated in a buttered garlic pesto. Has really set the bar in Berlin and definitely the best Foccacia I've ever had. Also went for a espresso and some biscotti and both were lovely. Price was fantastic, service was fast and friendly even with my hesitant way of ordering. I cannot wait to come back and try one of the daily pasta dishes or sandwiches that they offer.

This is my destination when I crave some real foccacia! A true Italian place with great coffee, daily choice of foccacia and pasta, and their sandwiches are so tasty if you want to grab a bite to go. Service is very friendly here, a lovely place for a coffee, breakfast and lunch!

Nur meine eigenen Spaghetti Carbonara sind noch besser, aber auch nur, weil ich viel Geld für einen ganz besonderen Speck ausgebe. Wenn ich in der Gegend wohnen oder arbeiten würde, würde ich dort mehrmals die Woche zum Mittagessen sein. So ein gutes Essen ist selten zu finden - und es ist preiswert dazu. Spitze!

Un ristorante con tradizione italiana nella cura del cibo. Staff educato, cordiale e competente. Assolutamente da ripetere. Prezzo ottimo parliamo di un piatto di pasta di qualità a 8€. AD oggi rimane il mio punto di riferimento per un pranzo o un veloce spuntino. Assolutamente consigliato.
