We were the only guests. The food was prepared quickly and tasted very tasty. It's inexpensive.

Everything was great, would 100% eat there again.

In terms of price, the store is okay, but you can't expect anything accordingly. The heating didn't work and we had to eat with winter jackets on.

My wontons were simply filled with NOTHING. Thai chicken soup is almost all cartilage. Unfriendly service.

Four of us had dinner at Mam Mam on a Saturday evening. The interior design is that of a typical Asian snack bar and the menu is available in the form of flyers and a large display board. During our visit, a friendly man combined the job of waitress and cook. As a result, the dishes ordered were not served at the same time. For this reason only three stars for the service. But that didn't affect the taste. Quite the opposite. Everyone was extremely happy with their food. It is certainly important to mention that you can experience really delicious Asian/Vietnamese cuisine here for an extremely reasonable price. Since my personal priority is always on the quality of the food and not on the service and the ambience, I have no hesitation in giving it five stars. I recommend Mam Mam to everyone, but especially to those who want to go out for a delicious meal without having to dig deep into their wallets. I would come back at any time on my next visit to Leipzig.

10/10 service and 10/10 food. The gentleman who works there, apparently alone, is very caring. When we were guests there, we got something cooked after 9, even though the shop apparently closed earlier (we didn't know until afterwards). So friendly, great shop. ♡

I am not Vietnamese myself and have not been to Vietnam. So I only have comparisons to the many other Vietnamese that I have visited. For my taste, the food is extremely tasty! Absolutely nothing to complain about. We had Pho Bo and Bun no Nam Bo, highly recommended. Pho Bo is very comforting after a long day. The meat in it is buttery tender, the broth is perfect between rich and light. The portion size is just right. Bun no Bam Bo is full of umami and at the same time super light and refreshing for a hot summer day. The portion is very large, I couldn't have done it alone. The price is unbeatable. However, you have to have a bit of patience. The owner does everything himself, including the cooking. The bus stop is right in front of the door. It didn't bother us at all, we actually found it quite nice, street food feeling :D (There are two steps at the entrance. Strollers must be lifted.)

We only had a few starters, but they were delicious and the prices were completely fair. The summer rolls with peanut sauce are highly recommended.

This small Vietnamese restaurant "Mam Mam", which is somewhat inconspicuous from the outside, is a soothing and tasty and filling haven of peace at the busy "Felsenkeller" intersection in the west of Leipzig. The restaurant offers an extensive and typically Vietnamese range of food and drinks at reasonable prices compared to surrounding Vietnam restaurants. I discovered this restaurant while looking for a cheap alternative and have been very happy with what it offers and have been coming here often since then. The operator and chef is very nice, when there is little going on, you can have a chat with him about God and the world, a very friendly and warm-hearted atmosphere. Personally, I only have a limited portfolio of dishes, most of the time I eat chicken soup called "Pho Ga" alongside fried noodles, there's nothing better on a cold day when you have a headache or are just hungry! Since I'm not as hungry as an older person, the chef even makes me half portions at half the price, just right for my stomach and my wallet! In my opinion, service couldn't be better, especially since the food is brought to your table and there is always a kind word, because after all, your soul eats with you. The food is not too spicy, unless you order it separately or add additional seasonings, which is also more pleasant than in some other restaurants and is closer to my German eating habits. My chicken soup always comes to the table steaming hot with lots of bamboo shoots and freshly chopped greens on top. The semi-open kitchen area allows me to watch the cook prepare it... but I usually read in the meantime while I'm waiting for my food. Cutlery, bamboo chopsticks and napkins are of course available and you can also take your food with you wrapped. I deducted one point for the ambience because of the somewhat spartan 70s furnishings, but everything is very clean and tidy and this is just my personal taste, but it depends more on the taste of the food and the very reasonable price-performance ratio than is made up for. Great recommendation - an unfairly somewhat unknown restaurant in Leipzig!

Es war sowas von lecker! Alles hat gepasst. Das Zeitmanagement, das Personal super freundlich, das Ambiente war angenehm und natürlich das hervorragende Essen - einwandfrei. Kann ich jedem nur empfehlen! Wir hatten querbeet bestellt. Sommerrollen, Sushi, Suppe mit beispielsweise Rind und allerlei anderen Leckereien… Alles super frisch! Preisleistung auch top. Wir kommen wieder.

Heute Mittag haben wir hier das erste Mal hier gegessen. Es wurde alles frisch und schnell zubereitet, mit angenehmer Schärfe. Das Restaurant ist sauber.

Das Essen war super lecker ☺️ eventuell sollte man etwas Zeit mitbringen, da man doch etwas länger auf das Essen warten muss. Lohnt sich aber definitiv ☺️

Absolut unterbewertet. Waren hier schon öfter Essen und es war immer super lecker, liebevoll zubereitet und günstig. Der Inhaber ist ein sehr netter und stets freundlicher Mann. Werde wohl noch oft her kommen.

I had read the reviews and was not disappointed. I love Vietnam and the food was just as I had experienced in Hanoi and Saigon. Fantastic chicken dish and the portions were very impressive. I had the spring rolls too. The guy was a real sweetie and I only wish I could cook like him! Will be back next year when I attend the inspirational Bach Festival. Wonderful place and so handy for the tram which takes you directly to the Central Station.

Super empfehlenswertes Essen!! Mein Freund und ich waren heute bei Mam Mam. Wir hatten die nr. 61 (Eine Pho Suppe mit Rinderfleisch), die nr. 23 (Hähnchenfleisch mit Bratreis) und die nr. 4 (Sommerrollen mit Garnelen) bestellt. Wir fanden die Gerichte echt super super lecker. Das Gemüse bei den Sommerollen war super frisch und richtig knackig. Die Ente war sehr zart und der Bratreis war so lecker. Die Suppe fand ich gut gewürzt und mit Chilisoße war das super. Das Essen ist auch super günstig, was uns erst verwirrt hat, aber es lohnt sich wirklich Die Gerichte mit dem Bratreis würden wir 100% weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen nicht aus Leipzig, aber sollten wir wieder kommen, kommen wir auch hier wieder hin!

Typisches Imbiss-Essen, nicht besonders schlecht aber auch nicht außerordentlich gut! die Garnelenbällchen waren drin noch kalt, diese empfehle ich nicht!

Super leckeres, Vietnamesisches Essen. Die Preise sind sehr angemessen, der Besitzer super nett und das Essen fantastisch. Von innen auch super eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Hühnchen hätte noch etwas zarter sein können aber das ist auch die einzige Kritik die ich zu äußern habe.

Waren mit der Familie da. Obwohl nur ein kleines Lokal mit Imbiss-Charakter, sehr gutes, schnell zubereitetes Essen. Freundliche Bedienung. Es ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Immer wieder gern.

Wer sich den Ranzen mit "irgendwelchen Asiazeug" vollhauen will bis es kracht, sollte vielleicht wo anders hin (...). Wer aber Bock auf frisches, leckeres Asiatisch ohne TK Zeug, Glutamat usw, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben 👍🏻

Unser Essen war super abgeschmeckt und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet - zB der Brokkoli in der Suppe bzw. dessen Konsistenz und Geschmack. Außerdem gibt es einen sympathischen Chef. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Absoluter Traum. Die Speisen sind mega und der Mann der den Laden schmeißt ist einfach ein Original, glaube der macht das gerne, und das schmeckt man auch, ich mag den voll gerne und wir gehen da immerwieder gerne hin. 3 mal gerne, läuft...
