MALO in Stuttgart

Wir waren an einem Samstagmittag im Malo. Der Raum riecht sehr stark nach Rauch, wahrscheinlich weil direkt anschließend ein raucherraum ist. Das Essen war ok, preislich sehr hoch. Der Service war überhaupt nicht gut. Wir wollten eigentlich noch einen Nachtisch bestellen, aber wir haben uns so unwohl gefühlt, dass wir gegangen sind. Location ist top, eins der schönsten Restaurants in denen wir waren. Wir würden aber nicht nochmal kommen.

Beim Betreten riecht es stark nach rauch. Absolut enttäuschend, Tk Ware, schlechter Service, null Kritikfähig. Sucht euch was anderes, es geht hier nicht um gutes Essen.

I was really disappointed with my visit to this location. Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. The dishes were bland and barely seasoned, which really negatively affected the taste. My main course was far too fatty and the rump steak was inedible. Overall, I had the impression that not much effort was put into the preparation. For the price I definitely expected something better. Unfortunately I will not visit this restaurant again.

Good restaurant. The food tastes good and the atmosphere is modern and refreshing. However, you notice that the speed of service decreases as the restaurant gets busier, which leads to slightly longer waiting times. This is probably because there was only one waiter. However, he was very friendly. All in all a good experience.

This restaurant is beautiful, it is an incredible dining experience.

Last night I was able to spend a wonderful evening at Malo with my girlfriend. Particularly noteworthy are the extremely friendly and humorous service as well as the stylish and aesthetically designed location. We are already looking forward to our next visit ;)

Beautiful location, great ambience. Pleasant audience. Cocktails have room for improvement. Nachos with delicious fresh avocado dip. There was really only one sip in the espresso, so maybe you could increase that to two 🫣 Next time we will try the dishes too. Service was super nice but hard to see, reordering was difficult. Saturday evening was very busy, a reservation would be recommended

Waren schon mehrmals im Malo, so enttäuscht wie dieses Mal, wurde ich noch nie. Vorspeise Buratta, welcher eiskalt war und sehr wenig Gemüse dabei war für 17€… Dann haben wir das „Highlight“ Zwiebelrostbraten bestellt, nach dem Gargrad wurde nicht einmal gefragt, und ich bekam eine Schuhsohle, bekam zwar nach meiner Reklamation einen neuen, welcher aber nurnoch halb so gross war, wie der erste. Für das Geld, hatte ich viel mehr erwartet, schade. Es wird mehr auf die Location ( Instahotspot ) geachtet, als für gutes Essen und guter Service, serh schade.

The lady at the entrance today was very unfriendly. A very negative, unmotivated young lady. We wanted to go to the restaurant area and she rudely said that this was only possible with a reservation. So we spontaneously decided to go again.

The two of us ate here at Christmas and were more than thrilled with the place. The decor is super modern and uniquely designed and creates a very aesthetic ambience. The service was extremely nice and professional and you felt absolutely comfortable despite the sometimes long waiting time. The prices are a little higher, but absolutely justified for the food. The dishes were extremely high quality prepared and simply delicious. We would also highly recommend the cocktails, they were also really good. We'd love to come back.

Another sobering experience in Stuttgart's gastronomy. Although there was nothing going on, the table we ordered wasn't prepared, there was no beer, the reception was sparse and in the end I was deducted 20 euros too much on top of the already extreme prices. Unfortunately I only noticed this when I got home.

Ambience is really nice, but completely overpriced. Service nice but slow. It took 15 minutes to get tickets even though the restaurant wasn't full. Main courses are not filling. We went home hungry.

The food is very good and exceptional. The ambience is perfect for a nice evening with friends or a romantic date. Everything is special and tasteful. My tip: If you sit at the bar, you can watch the hustle and bustle in the kitchen. The artists at work. That was very impressive. Only the service seemed a bit stressed in places. They forgot our dessert. Otherwise everything was great.

Had a really wonderful evening here, the food was really delicious. And unfortunately we can't complain at all. Unfortunately, I don't understand the other reviews about the service. The waiters were always very accommodating to us.

Very nice atmosphere and great selection of music. Food was also great, but the jus is not really recommended, it tasted very burnt. Would definitely reserve a table at the weekend as the request for seats increases significantly in the evening. The aperitifs were also great, overall a very nice evening and very nice, fast and courteous service.

At the reception we were assigned a table where we sat down. However, an older waiter then yelled at us very rudely because he was reserved. Even after we explained the situation, there was no understanding at all. It made it appear that we had a malicious idea behind it. However, the waiter who served us at our new table was very attentive and friendly. Contrary to our expectations (especially because of the high prices), the food was unfortunately nothing special and therefore quite overpriced. The ambience was generally nice with music and decoration, but the tables were far too close together for the above-average prices, similar to a canteen.

I recommend the onion roast. Good wine selection for my taste and decanting is also possible. There were more people than we reserved and tables were added very flexibly.

A great restaurant and bar concept. What's left to say? Great ambience (lots of plants, comfortable chairs and sofas, heavy wooden tables), top food (good selection, beautifully presented, well seasoned) and brilliant service (funny, friendly and attentive). A really great evening... always happy!

An extremely beautifully decorated restaurant, with the best Pornstar Martini in the world. The menu is very small, but the dishes are very well prepared. High quality meat and very tasty fries. The truffle fries are highly recommended as is the Pornstar Martini, which tastes really good here. However, the restaurant is sparsely staffed, which is why it takes longer to order something/request the bill. In addition, the prices for both drinks and the menu are expensive. Nevertheless, Malo has a unique ambience and a unique Pornstar Martini, which makes the restaurant unique in Stuttgart

My sister was literally yelled at and beaten up by a waitress last night and that was only because, according to the waiter, she was sitting at a seat that was already reserved... the waitress was a young woman and had black/dark hair. She was treated so badly afterwards that she wanted to leave. It's a shame, the store used to be good.

The only good thing is the location. Unfriendly waitress and disorganized employees who moved us several times. Price performance is bad. Never again.

We were thrilled by the MALO in Stuttgart. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff was very attentive and friendly, which made the visit particularly pleasant.

The food was very tasty! The value for money for the Jerk Chicken was a bit surprising. But the design of the restaurant is very beautiful.

Nice atmosphere, we found the chairs too low and too uncomfortable, service a bit too eager, menu not very extensive, starters good portions and tasty, except for the carrot-coconut soup which had little taste despite the salt and pepper. For the main course, the rump steak was unfortunately not done as ordered. The MALO Sprizz is very sweet and definitely not an Aperol Sprizz. The prices are sometimes quite high. At the end we also had a bottle of red wine on the bill that we hadn't consumed.

We each had three courses and several drinks was good. Service, another topic. Nice waiter, but he was there too rarely and forgot food or drinks several times, and the bill was also wrong. The overall impression really suffered as a result.

Location ist außergewöhnlich cool. Essen top. Service top (unser Kellner „Jamal“ fiel durch seine offene sympathische Art auf). Die Wartezeit fürs Essen war angemessen.

The place is a very special place. The location is very central. We went with a large group (40 people) and the service was very attentive and systematic. The steak was wonderful. Since it is a popular place, it is best to make a reservation.

Ich hab meinen Geburtstag dort mit 13 Personen gefeiert und als wir reinkamen mussten wir entsetzt feststellen, dass meine (online OpenTable) Reservierung nicht beim Malo vermerkt wurde! Wir hatten Glück, dass das Malo zu dem Zeitpunkt noch ausreichend Sitzplätze zur Verfügung hatte. Es gab auch keine Entschuldigung in irgendeiner Form. Dafür, dass wir gut Umsatz gebracht haben (essen, Flaschen Wein etc.) und die Reservierung durch die Lappen gegangen ist, empfand ich es als Frechheit, dass ein kleines Dessert mit Fontäne zum Geburtstag regulär abgerechnet wurde.

Never again, for 2 people 114€ and gave an extra tip of 14€. Ambience very nice, nothing special to eat but never so much again.

Alles top. Von der Reservierung bis zu der Bezahlung alles gut.

Die Location ist super eingerichtet, die Akustik durch die ganzen Pflanzen toll. Der Service war ok, manchmal leider ein bisschen langsam und wir mussten die Bestellung nochmal bestätigen, weil er sich nichts aufgeschrieben hat. Nicht so wild, kann man aber besser machen bei einem Tisch für 2 Personen. Das Essen war hervorragend, sowohl Vorspeise als auch Hauptgang. Die Preise sind etwas gehoben, entsprechen aber voll und ganz der spitzen Qualität.

Unfortunately our visit to Malo on September 20th at 11:50 p.m. was a disappointment. As soon as we entered we were greeted extremely unfriendly. Instead of being shown to a table or greeted in a friendly manner, we were made to feel like we were being a nuisance. No smile, no "welcome", instead we were simply ignored. We waited for a while hoping that someone would take care of us - in vain. The employees seemed annoyed and uninterested. After we received a cheeky answer to a question, we had enough and left without ordering anything. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in the catering industry. We're definitely not coming back!

I felt very uncomfortable in their store. The drinks menu offers various non-alcoholic drinks, which disappointingly were not available when ordered. The (unfriendly) waitress pointed out to us that the “non-alcoholic” drinks contain a little alcohol. The waitress's always unfriendly demeanor was another reason for me with a heavy heart not to visit the store again.

The ambience is very nice, quality is rather mediocre. Vegan offer absolutely poor...

Das Malo in Stuttgart punktet definitiv mit seinem wunderschönen, modernen Ambiente und einer wirklich tollen Lage. Es ist ein Ort, der auf den ersten Blick viel verspricht – stilvoll und einladend. Doch leider konnte der Service nicht ganz mit der schönen Umgebung mithalten. Die Kellner wirkten etwas unorganisiert und konnten auf Fragen nach glutenfreien Optionen oder Empfehlungen nicht wirklich weiterhelfen. Eine Alternative zum Brot gab es leider nicht. Das war etwas enttäuschend, vor allem da man sich von einem Restaurant in dieser Klasse etwas mehr erwartet hätte. Wir hatten reserviert um den Geburtstag meiner Schwester zu feiern aber dies wurde leider nicht anerkannt. Trotzdem war das Essen in Ordnung, auch wenn es nicht überragend war. Insgesamt hatte ich das Gefühl, dass das Konzept des Restaurants noch nicht ganz ausgereift ist. Wenn das Personal etwas geschulter wäre, könnte das Malo zu einem wirklich tollen Erlebnis werden. Denn optisch und atmosphärisch ist es auf jeden Fall ein Highlight. Ich hoffe, dass hier in Zukunft noch nachgebessert wird – das Potenzial ist definitiv da!

We had pre-ordered a 3-course menu for our wedding anniversary, very tasty, portions completely sufficient, service was top, prices completely reasonable

Wir hatten anlässlich eines Geburtstags reserviert und wurden von dem genervten und teilweise während der Arbeit fluchenden Personal beinahe eine Stunde ignoriert, bis wir überhaupt erstmal die Karten ausgeteilt bekamen. Anschließend wurden wir weitere 20 Minuten, trotz Zuwinkens verschiedener Kellner, nicht beachtet. Trotz der grundsätzlich schönen Location haben wir uns deswegen dann spontan dazu entschieden, doch noch ein anderes Restaurant zu suchen. Wer hier essen oder etwas trinken gehen möchte, sollte sehr viel Zeit und Geduld mitbringen. Über eine Stunde auf die Bestellungsaufnahme warten zu müssen, obwohl man für einen besonderen Anlass reserviert hat, ist einfach unzumutbar. Keine Empfehlung.

Leider schlechte Service, auf das Essen lang gewartet und Rechnung. Irgendwann das Essen ist gekommen und wir haben keine Teller bekommen. Bis unsere Teller da waren, das Essen ist natürlich kalt geworden…Sonst, Restaurant schön eingerichtet.

Very nice restaurant! Very nice service... But there's still a lot missing from perfection😉 I was there for my birthday and had stated that when I made the reservation. My birthday surprise ended up at another table🤦‍♂️ The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I would love to come back and try one of the other appealing dishes.

Das Restaurant hebt sich durch ein wunderschönes Ambiente hervor. Die Auswahl ist übersichtlich, das Essen ist ansprechend präsentiert und schmeckt lecker. Leider wird dieser positive Eindruck durch den langsamen und wenig professionellen Service getrübt, der nicht den Erwartungen an ein solches Etablissement bzw. bei den verlangten Preisen gerecht wird. Die unverhältnismäßig hohen Preise, die in keinem angemessenen Verhältnis zur gebotenen Leistung stehen – enttäuschen tatsächlich. Es ist zu betonen, dass Trinkgeld ein Zeichen der Wertschätzung für herausragenden Service ist, was verdient werden muss, anstatt als Selbstverständlichkeit anzusehen. Die Unprofessionalität wurde leider noch dadurch übertroffen, dass sich der Kellner nicht einmal von den Gästen verabschiedete, nachdem kein Trinkgeld gegeben wurde – ein Verhalten, das absolut inakzeptabel ist und den Gesamteindruck nachhaltig negativ beeinflusst. Wirklich schade.

Ambiente ist natürlich wunderschön. Getränke waren auch wirklich lecker. Das Essen war ebenfalls gut. Allerdings preislich wirklich zu teuer! Das ist es leider nicht Wert. Wir waren zu zweit & haben inkl. 10€ Trinkgeld 150 € liegen lassen. Hatten zwei Gläser Weißwein. Eine Flasche Wasser. Ein Hefeweizen & einen Passionsfrucht-Martini. Zum Essen gab es als Vorspeise Burrata mit Gemüse. Zur Hautspeise: Rumpsteak mit Parmesan-Trüffel-Pommes (40€) & Jerk Chicken ebenfalls 40€. Leider waren die Pommes nicht wie erwartet. Parmesan war drauf, dadurch ergab es einen Klumpen aus Pommes. Trüffel war keiner drauf. Wahrscheinlich gab’s Trüffelöl drauf. Hat man allerdings nicht geschmeckt. Chicken war 48 h eingelegt, daher recht zart. Die Kruste war teilweise nicht vorhanden. Also geschmacklich & qualitativ auf keinen Fall 40€ wert. Ich meine, welches Chicken ist 40€ Wert? Im Großen & Ganzen war’s ein schönes Erlebnis. :) nochmal würden wir zum Essen nicht kommen.

Wirklich teuer und die Wartezeiten sind sehr lang. Vom Zeitpunkt der Bestellung bis zur Zahlung vergingen 2,5 Stunden. Der Kellner hingegen war wirklich kompetent, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön.

Very nice restaurant, our server was incredible and spoke slightly French so it was easy to understand. On the other hand, I find it a bit expensive compared to the quality of the meals. 120€ for two with aperitif, main course and dessert.

Too expensive for the quality. Too few choices. I would suggest checking at least the menu before going there. We would not give a second chance.

The food is excellent and you should definitely visit the restaurant because of the ambience. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. We made a reservation and were then treated like any other guest when it came to choosing a seat. We actually wanted another table, but it was reserved for another couple - but they didn't show up. We had to stop the staff several times to order and they were visibly stressed. The food and ambience are great - the service just doesn't match the quality.

Wir haben sehr lange auf das Essen gewartet. Die Lobster Spaghetti waren gut, aber der Lobster war viel zu klein für über 40€. Das Rinderfilet war echt etwas zu klein, es wurde nicht erwähnt wieviel Gramm es sind und es war trotz „Medium“ ganz schön durch. Ziemlich teuer für mittelmäßiges Essen.

Beautifully designed restaurant for a drink on the patio outside or in the luscious dining room inside. Nice menu. Good service. Food was good. Chicken Cesar salad was tasty. Though we recommend asking for it on the side. Chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The jerk chicken fish was beautifully plated and the grilled vegetables were perfect. Sadly my chicken was dry even though it had been claimed to be marinated for a long time. My side salad was wonderful. Perfect lettuce selection and delicious tomatoes. Drinks were good.

Food is very good. Only the snack plate is disappointing. Lots of crackers for an incomprehensibly high price. Service is friendly. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer, which is probably because the service and kitchen have to serve too many tables at once. There's always a lot going on here on the weekends.

Fleisch ranziger Geschmack nicht Medium Weinglas mit Spülresten - dann die Diskussion über den Schaum im Glas mit der „Kellnerin“ wollen Sie dann ein neues ?? ÄHM nein jetzt nicht mehr - gerne die Rechnung und ciao Nicht empfehlenswert!!!!!

Essen war geschmacklich gut, leider kam es nicht medium wie bestellt sondern durch. Der Service war schlecht, nachdem die Dame Kaugummi kauend die Teller abräumte wurde nicht gefragt ob wir noch was brauchen, ( Dessert, Kaffee oder noch was zu trinken) Wir saßen 1 Stunde vor leeren Gläsern, haben dann gezahlt und sind gegangen. Der Service wirkte in unserem Bereich unorganisiert, viele Gäste saßen ewig vor leeren Gläsern und am Nachbartisch wurde der Hauptgang vergessen. Schade, sowas darf in diesem Preissegment nicht sein.
