Never again, for 2 people 114€ and gave an extra tip of 14€. Ambience very nice, nothing special to eat but never so much again.

Wir haben einen tollen Abend mit hervorragendem Essen und freundlichem professionellem Service im Malo verbracht. Das Ambiente ist einzigartig.

Die Location ist super eingerichtet, die Akustik durch die ganzen Pflanzen toll. Der Service war ok, manchmal leider ein bisschen langsam und wir mussten die Bestellung nochmal bestätigen, weil er sich nichts aufgeschrieben hat. Nicht so wild, kann man aber besser machen bei einem Tisch für 2 Personen. Das Essen war hervorragend, sowohl Vorspeise als auch Hauptgang. Die Preise sind etwas gehoben, entsprechen aber voll und ganz der spitzen Qualität.

Malo in Stuttgart offers a visually stunning green oasis with delicious starters. However, the main course was disappointing and the service slow and inflexible.

Unfortunately our visit to Malo on September 20th at 11:50 p.m. was a disappointment. As soon as we entered we were greeted extremely unfriendly. Instead of being shown to a table or greeted in a friendly manner, we were made to feel like we were being a nuisance. No smile, no "welcome", instead we were simply ignored. We waited for a while hoping that someone would take care of us - in vain. The employees seemed annoyed and uninterested. After we received a cheeky answer to a question, we had enough and left without ordering anything. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in the catering industry. We're definitely not coming back!

The ambience is very nice, quality is rather mediocre. Vegan offer absolutely poor...

I felt very uncomfortable in their store. The drinks menu offers various non-alcoholic drinks, which disappointingly were not available when ordered. The (unfriendly) waitress pointed out to us that the “non-alcoholic” drinks contain a little alcohol. The waitress's always unfriendly demeanor was another reason for me with a heavy heart not to visit the store again.

Das Malo in Stuttgart punktet definitiv mit seinem wunderschönen, modernen Ambiente und einer wirklich tollen Lage. Es ist ein Ort, der auf den ersten Blick viel verspricht – stilvoll und einladend. Doch leider konnte der Service nicht ganz mit der schönen Umgebung mithalten. Die Kellner wirkten etwas unorganisiert und konnten auf Fragen nach glutenfreien Optionen oder Empfehlungen nicht wirklich weiterhelfen. Eine Alternative zum Brot gab es leider nicht. Das war etwas enttäuschend, vor allem da man sich von einem Restaurant in dieser Klasse etwas mehr erwartet hätte. Wir hatten reserviert um den Geburtstag meiner Schwester zu feiern aber dies wurde leider nicht anerkannt. Trotzdem war das Essen in Ordnung, auch wenn es nicht überragend war. Insgesamt hatte ich das Gefühl, dass das Konzept des Restaurants noch nicht ganz ausgereift ist. Wenn das Personal etwas geschulter wäre, könnte das Malo zu einem wirklich tollen Erlebnis werden. Denn optisch und atmosphärisch ist es auf jeden Fall ein Highlight. Ich hoffe, dass hier in Zukunft noch nachgebessert wird – das Potenzial ist definitiv da!

Danke an Elvin, welcher unseren Besuch zu einem Erlebnis gemacht hat. Schön, wenn die Geschäftsleitung solche Mitarbeiter hat und es schätzt. Es war alles hervorragend und wir kommen sicher wieder!

We had pre-ordered a 3-course menu for our wedding anniversary, very tasty, portions completely sufficient, service was top, prices completely reasonable

Wir hatten anlässlich eines Geburtstags reserviert und wurden von dem genervten und teilweise während der Arbeit fluchenden Personal beinahe eine Stunde ignoriert, bis wir überhaupt erstmal die Karten ausgeteilt bekamen. Anschließend wurden wir weitere 20 Minuten, trotz Zuwinkens verschiedener Kellner, nicht beachtet. Trotz der grundsätzlich schönen Location haben wir uns deswegen dann spontan dazu entschieden, doch noch ein anderes Restaurant zu suchen. Wer hier essen oder etwas trinken gehen möchte, sollte sehr viel Zeit und Geduld mitbringen. Über eine Stunde auf die Bestellungsaufnahme warten zu müssen, obwohl man für einen besonderen Anlass reserviert hat, ist einfach unzumutbar. Keine Empfehlung.

Leider schlechte Service, auf das Essen lang gewartet und Rechnung. Irgendwann das Essen ist gekommen und wir haben keine Teller bekommen. Bis unsere Teller da waren, das Essen ist natürlich kalt geworden…Sonst, Restaurant schön eingerichtet.

Von den cocktails bis zu den Hauptspeisen war alles absolut perfekt! Die Kellnerin hat jedocv anstatt, paccheri= Pakeri, pacceri = Patscheri gesagt aber das ist nichts schlimmes

Das Restaurant hebt sich durch ein wunderschönes Ambiente hervor. Die Auswahl ist übersichtlich, das Essen ist ansprechend präsentiert und schmeckt lecker. Leider wird dieser positive Eindruck durch den langsamen und wenig professionellen Service getrübt, der nicht den Erwartungen an ein solches Etablissement bzw. bei den verlangten Preisen gerecht wird. Die unverhältnismäßig hohen Preise, die in keinem angemessenen Verhältnis zur gebotenen Leistung stehen – enttäuschen tatsächlich. Es ist zu betonen, dass Trinkgeld ein Zeichen der Wertschätzung für herausragenden Service ist, was verdient werden muss, anstatt als Selbstverständlichkeit anzusehen. Die Unprofessionalität wurde leider noch dadurch übertroffen, dass sich der Kellner nicht einmal von den Gästen verabschiedete, nachdem kein Trinkgeld gegeben wurde – ein Verhalten, das absolut inakzeptabel ist und den Gesamteindruck nachhaltig negativ beeinflusst. Wirklich schade.

Ambiente ist natürlich wunderschön. Getränke waren auch wirklich lecker. Das Essen war ebenfalls gut. Allerdings preislich wirklich zu teuer! Das ist es leider nicht Wert. Wir waren zu zweit & haben inkl. 10€ Trinkgeld 150 € liegen lassen. Hatten zwei Gläser Weißwein. Eine Flasche Wasser. Ein Hefeweizen & einen Passionsfrucht-Martini. Zum Essen gab es als Vorspeise Burrata mit Gemüse. Zur Hautspeise: Rumpsteak mit Parmesan-Trüffel-Pommes (40€) & Jerk Chicken ebenfalls 40€. Leider waren die Pommes nicht wie erwartet. Parmesan war drauf, dadurch ergab es einen Klumpen aus Pommes. Trüffel war keiner drauf. Wahrscheinlich gab’s Trüffelöl drauf. Hat man allerdings nicht geschmeckt. Chicken war 48 h eingelegt, daher recht zart. Die Kruste war teilweise nicht vorhanden. Also geschmacklich & qualitativ auf keinen Fall 40€ wert. Ich meine, welches Chicken ist 40€ Wert? Im Großen & Ganzen war’s ein schönes Erlebnis. :) nochmal würden wir zum Essen nicht kommen.

Wirklich teuer und die Wartezeiten sind sehr lang. Vom Zeitpunkt der Bestellung bis zur Zahlung vergingen 2,5 Stunden. Der Kellner hingegen war wirklich kompetent, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön.

Very nice restaurant, our server was incredible and spoke slightly French so it was easy to understand. On the other hand, I find it a bit expensive compared to the quality of the meals. 120€ for two with aperitif, main course and dessert.

The food is excellent and you should definitely visit the restaurant because of the ambience. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. We made a reservation and were then treated like any other guest when it came to choosing a seat. We actually wanted another table, but it was reserved for another couple - but they didn't show up. We had to stop the staff several times to order and they were visibly stressed. The food and ambience are great - the service just doesn't match the quality.

Wir haben sehr lange auf das Essen gewartet. Die Lobster Spaghetti waren gut, aber der Lobster war viel zu klein für über 40€. Das Rinderfilet war echt etwas zu klein, es wurde nicht erwähnt wieviel Gramm es sind und es war trotz „Medium“ ganz schön durch. Ziemlich teuer für mittelmäßiges Essen.

Food is very good. Only the snack plate is disappointing. Lots of crackers for an incomprehensibly high price. Service is friendly. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer, which is probably because the service and kitchen have to serve too many tables at once. There's always a lot going on here on the weekends.

Beautifully designed restaurant for a drink on the patio outside or in the luscious dining room inside. Nice menu. Good service. Food was good. Chicken Cesar salad was tasty. Though we recommend asking for it on the side. Chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The jerk chicken fish was beautifully plated and the grilled vegetables were perfect. Sadly my chicken was dry even though it had been claimed to be marinated for a long time. My side salad was wonderful. Perfect lettuce selection and delicious tomatoes. Drinks were good.

Top ambience and top location, but we couldn't order any food or drinks. We were shown to a table and then didn't get anything else. No service, no menu to choose our dishes from, just aloof waiters who wanted to serve us. For those who imagine going out there, I wouldn't advise it

Der Service war schlecht, nachdem die Dame Kaugummi kauend die Teller abräumte wurde nicht gefragt ob wir noch was brauchen, ( Dessert, Kaffee oder noch was zu trinken) Wir saßen 1 Stunde vor leeren Gläsern, haben dann gezahlt und sind gegangen. Der Service wirkte in unserem Bereich unorganisiert, viele Gäste saßen ewig vor leeren Gläsern und am Nachbartisch wurde der Hauptgang vergessen. Schade, sowas darf in diesem Preissegment nicht sein.

Bei der Ankunft haben die uns ignoriert und nicht mal hallo gesagt oder einen Moment. Haben einen Tisch reserviert und wurden trotzdem an so einen ganz langen Tisch mit anderen Leuten gesetzt & der ältere männl. Kellner mit blonden Haaren war sehr unsympathisch und unfreundlich. Die Mädchen waren lieb. Die Getränke sind überteuert und schmecken gar nicht, die hatten nicht mal mehr Minze übrig was den Geschmack der Getränke auch beeinflusst und eig. bei allen unseren Getränken mit dabei sein sollte von dem was wir bestellt hatten. Auf die Getränke musste man auch ewig warten. Also Getränke haben echt sehr ekelhaft geschmeckt. Burger war okay auch nicht das Geld wert. Dann kam die ganze Zeit eine Kellnerin während unsere Getränke voll waren und frägt ob wir noch was trinken wollen und als die dann unsere Gläser leer waren hat es erstmal 15 min gebraucht bis überhaupt jem. wieder vorbei lief. Bin sehr verärgert über die Tatsache das wir einen Tisch reserviert haben für 5 und an so einen langen Tisch mit anderen Leuten gesetzt worden sind, mittig wurde der bisschen auseinander gezogen und in den engen Raum wurde ein Stuhl für uns gestellt. Dabei saßen an den Runden 5 Tischen nur drei oder 4 Personen. Die Strohhalme aus pappe sind auch sehr schlecht die lösen sich direkt im Getränk auf. Saft laden. Die Lampen sind schön und die deko und die Mädchen waren herzlich aber dafür das man angibt bei der Reservierung Geburtstag und so behandelt wird echt unglaublich für so ein Lokal.

Hier sind man in Tollem Ambiente, innen wie aussen, Der Service ist flott und supernett. Das essen ist frisch und superlecker. Die Getränke sind kalt und klasse.Es lädt sehr schöne Musik im Hintergrund. Nettes gemischtes Publikum Immer gerne wieder.

Wir wurden einfach so lange nicht bedient bis die Küche zu gemacht hat und haben dann nichts mehr bekommen sind dann mit leerem Magen und ohne etwas zu trinken wieder gegangen! Mega schlechter Service extrem enttäuschend! Wirklich schade!

the waitress was having an attitude (rude) the whole evening. She also lied about the kitchen opening hours. my receipt was wrong. We I had ordered fries and she cash out twister fries for different price. I didn't receive those so I just paid more for nothing. The sad thing about it is, it was my birthday, with her passive aggressive attitude she destroyed the vibe that day.

Was there for a business lunch, service was good, food is also good, I personally find the prices to be too high (even though my company paid) but there is probably an audience for this price segment in Stuttgart. These prices can also be found in star cuisine, which in my opinion are justified given the appropriate craftsmanship. I miss a richer selection of salads (I only found Caesar Salad). The atmosphere is nice and European Championship games were shown in large format.

We did a reservation one week ago but we didn‘t our names and we didn‘t sit there. The waitress didn't care and didn't mind that we got angry and left the cafe.

There was a waitress added 5 Euro tips for herself, and intended not showing us the receipt details… which is quite cheeky , cuz we paid extra tips in the end, she didn’t even mention to us. And her service has made us feel uncomfortable too. It is quite a pity that it’s a nice restaurant and food but with bad service. Better ask for checking the receipt before you paying !

The location is beautiful!!! Food was delicious! However , the cocktails were way too expensive for the size and quality. We were a party of 3 people and ordered different drinks, each cost around 15€. It was small and you barely could taste the alcohol. I recommend just to order some non alcoholic drink and treat yourself with a nice dessert instead of paying so much for a cocktail.

The atmosphere is really nice and you immediately feel at home. Unfortunately the staff (lady at reception) is very unfriendly and not very cooperative. When we asked if we would get a table, we were told “no, only at the bar”. However, there were enough places available at this time. We then asked a waiter if we could sit at a table. At that moment the lady from the reception came and said that she was arranging the tables and nothing was available. Unfortunately in a very unfriendly and annoyed tone…

The MALO is something special! The interior design, with the plants, is unique. I'm a gardener and have never seen anything like this indoors. The reception staff and our stuff were very pleasant and attentive, even though all hell was breaking loose. The appetizer platter, the pike-perch fillet and the roast beef, made from regional products, were absolutely great. I would see a small negative in the table distance. We were able to hear the conversations from both tables next to us, even though the music was extremely loud. Audience; young, stylish, exciting, and pleasantly crazy. It took 20 minutes until we got a card. After we got one from the neighboring table, the waiter suddenly jumped up to the table with a card. After another 10 minutes until we ordered, we waited another 20 minutes for the drinks. It was the same at the other tables. All of this with a waiter who chatted in an overly friendly, almost intrusive manner when he was at the table. A couple next to us almost felt harassed because of their friendliness. This place has two things going for it—the atmosphere and the curly fries. Burger and caesar salad were both soggy. The service was incredibly slow. And, after waiting 20+ minutes between courses, our server had the nerve to blatantly ask for a 20%.

We spent an unforgettable evening in your house yesterday. It is cozy and the atmosphere immerses you in another world, a world full of luxury and taste. The cuisine was excellent, we enjoyed it. Special thanks to our service KELVIN, he knows and loves his work, he is a professional in his field, he left us a pleasant impression and gave us a smile. We really felt like his special guests. We really enjoyed our meals and plan to return again. We were a party of 10 and everyone had a wonderful time in celebration of my daughter's graduation at the restaurant.

It was fine in itself, to the point where we spotted mice on the floor under our table. The waitress was extremely unfriendly and inconsiderate towards us the whole evening. When she received the report about the mice, she simply ignored it and said that she would not hunt the mice. The young lady brought the evening down more than the actual mice. Thanks to the gray-haired waiter who later saved the evening.

Great vibe, lovely patio. Service staff was extremely gracious and friendly, my waiter even took time to translate the menu for me. Food itself was not great, certainly not worth €120 for an appetizer, entree and 2 cocktails. May be a cultural norm but dinner service took almost 2 hours and I was dining alone. Way too long unless someone asks you to slow roll the service.

Malo gets worse the more we visit (on our 3rd visit!). Although we can’t fault our server (he was attentive and polite) the overall service, ambience and food quality was below ‘average’. Totally understaffed and with bizarrely disproportionate service to the wrong crowd this restaurant has so much potential but continues to be so disappointing. It feels like the owner/s have gotten lazy since opening, don’t actually work at the restaurant or oversee it and due to complete lack of competition in Stuttgart they just don’t actually care.. such a shame.

Very impressed by this gem of a restaurant / bar. Seldom have I experienced friendlier staff. My dry martini was exactly that; dry! My steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the lobster was soft, tender and tasteful. The burger I saw across from me looked very inviting.

Ambiance was TOP. In my opinion, MALO is more suitable for small groups and for drinking and relaxing. We were there as a larger group and the menu was reduced to 5 dishes. Supplements were also shortened. If it doesn't bother you, it's fine. We are actually surprisingly disappointed with the service. I don't know if I've always been lucky, but today we weren't happy. At the beginning they were there several times and checked on us, but over the course of the evening the drinks we ordered were not brought or were forgotten. We also had to wait longer until a waiter came over so we could pay. In summary, I think the MALO is good for small groups and more for relaxing and drinking. I wouldn't go again with a large group.

We had a great evening with our friends here, so the ambient and good service, along with the drinks we had deserves 5 stars. As for the food, I stayed unsure which concept Malo wants to drive. Not much choices left if burgers and german dishes are not an option... Still, worth of being a guest and allowing eyes to rest in lovely green that overfills this nice place!

Beautiful restaurant, great and fast service, you really felt at home. Drinks good, but also expensive. Unfortunately the food was okay (considering the price): - Portions really decent, it has to be said. - Tartare: tasty, good portion - Rice Bowl: was okay, had the vibe of a peanut curry from the Asian restaurant around the corner; didn't blow me away - Lobster Linguine: Good noodles, large portion, but nothing that blows you away. Lobster was okay, have had better You can definitely come again for a drink, but I wouldn't come again for food.

Very nice atmosphere, our service was absolutely friendly and gave good advice. The store tends to be a bit chic, so if you like that, you'll be happy. Also some very young people there for cocktails. The menu is a bit unusual, some dishes are quite cheap, others are extremely expensive. The choice of food is also special. For example, I haven't seen crab salad on a menu for decades and at Malo it tastes like it did decades ago. Crabs with cocktail sauce. Is that vintage? The tartare was very tasty, as was the creme brulee with rosemary. The bottom line is that we were definitely satisfied.

Sehr teuer für die Portionen was man bekommt, jedoch sehr lecker. Reservierungen gehen nicht im raucherbereich, sehr schade!

Malo is an excellent restaurant with a fantastic ambience and very friendly, English-speaking staff. The many plants in the rooms give the visit an exotic and relaxing touch. The food is of the highest quality and leaves no doubt about the professionalism of the owners. I can recommend it to any traveler.

Schönes Ambiente, gute Cocktails, geschmackvolle Angebote, relativ große Portionen. Ein sehr schöner Abend.

Cool and relaxed location. Special atmosphere. We felt very comfortable, the food was extremely tasty (octopus!!) and the service was very, very good!
