Everything went great. Food was delicious, the quantity was more than enough, waiting time was ok. The price is already high but I think it's within the framework for Stuttgart. Very nice and comfortably furnished. Gladly again

Very nice restaurant! Very nice service... But there's still a lot missing from perfection😉 I was there for my birthday and had stated that when I made the reservation. My birthday surprise ended up at another table🤦‍♂️ The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I would love to come back and try one of the other appealing dishes.

Very nice restaurant, our server was incredible and spoke slightly French so it was easy to understand. On the other hand, I find it a bit expensive compared to the quality of the meals. 120€ for two with aperitif, main course and dessert.

Too expensive for the quality. Too few choices. I would suggest checking at least the menu before going there. We would not give a second chance.

The food is excellent and you should definitely visit the restaurant because of the ambience. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. We made a reservation and were then treated like any other guest when it came to choosing a seat. We actually wanted another table, but it was reserved for another couple - but they didn't show up. We had to stop the staff several times to order and they were visibly stressed. The food and ambience are great - the service just doesn't match the quality.

Beautifully designed restaurant for a drink on the patio outside or in the luscious dining room inside. Nice menu. Good service. Food was good. Chicken Cesar salad was tasty. Though we recommend asking for it on the side. Chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The jerk chicken fish was beautifully plated and the grilled vegetables were perfect. Sadly my chicken was dry even though it had been claimed to be marinated for a long time. My side salad was wonderful. Perfect lettuce selection and delicious tomatoes. Drinks were good.

Service was rather slow, and also 2 orders were forgotten and we had to remind the waiter to bring it. Food was ok, but nothing special…lack of fine taste I would say. Honestly for so much money I expected more. Atmosphere is really nice and the stuff is friendly!

Food is very good. Only the snack plate is disappointing. Lots of crackers for an incomprehensibly high price. Service is friendly. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer, which is probably because the service and kitchen have to serve too many tables at once. There's always a lot going on here on the weekends.

Hier sind man in Tollem Ambiente, innen wie aussen, Der Service ist flott und supernett. Das essen ist frisch und superlecker. Die Getränke sind kalt und klasse.Es lädt sehr schöne Musik im Hintergrund. Nettes gemischtes Publikum Immer gerne wieder.

Der Service wirkte in unserem Bereich unorganisiert, viele Gäste saßen ewig vor leeren Gläsern und am Nachbartisch wurde der Hauptgang vergessen. Schade, sowas darf in diesem Preissegment nicht sein.

Bei der Ankunft haben die uns ignoriert und nicht mal hallo gesagt oder einen Moment. Haben einen Tisch reserviert und wurden trotzdem an so einen ganz langen Tisch mit anderen Leuten gesetzt & der ältere männl. Kellner mit blonden Haaren war sehr unsympathisch und unfreundlich. Die Mädchen waren lieb. Die Getränke sind überteuert und schmecken gar nicht, die hatten nicht mal mehr Minze übrig was den Geschmack der Getränke auch beeinflusst und eig. bei allen unseren Getränken mit dabei sein sollte von dem was wir bestellt hatten. Auf die Getränke musste man auch ewig warten. Also Getränke haben echt sehr ekelhaft geschmeckt. Burger war okay auch nicht das Geld wert. Dann kam die ganze Zeit eine Kellnerin während unsere Getränke voll waren und frägt ob wir noch was trinken wollen und als die dann unsere Gläser leer waren hat es erstmal 15 min gebraucht bis überhaupt jem. wieder vorbei lief. Bin sehr verärgert über die Tatsache das wir einen Tisch reserviert haben für 5 und an so einen langen Tisch mit anderen Leuten gesetzt worden sind, mittig wurde der bisschen auseinander gezogen und in den engen Raum wurde ein Stuhl für uns gestellt. Dabei saßen an den Runden 5 Tischen nur drei oder 4 Personen. Die Strohhalme aus pappe sind auch sehr schlecht die lösen sich direkt im Getränk auf. Saft laden. Die Lampen sind schön und die deko und die Mädchen waren herzlich aber dafür das man angibt bei der Reservierung Geburtstag und so behandelt wird echt unglaublich für so ein Lokal.

Top ambience and top location, but we couldn't order any food or drinks. We were shown to a table and then didn't get anything else. No service, no menu to choose our dishes from, just aloof waiters who wanted to serve us. For those who imagine going out there, I wouldn't advise it

Wir wurden einfach so lange nicht bedient bis die Küche zu gemacht hat und haben dann nichts mehr bekommen sind dann mit leerem Magen und ohne etwas zu trinken wieder gegangen! Mega schlechter Service extrem enttäuschend! Wirklich schade!

the waitress was having an attitude (rude) the whole evening. She also lied about the kitchen opening hours. my receipt was wrong. We I had ordered fries and she cash out twister fries for different price. I didn't receive those so I just paid more for nothing. The sad thing about it is, it was my birthday, with her passive aggressive attitude she destroyed the vibe that day.

Was there for a business lunch, service was good, food is also good, I personally find the prices to be too high (even though my company paid) but there is probably an audience for this price segment in Stuttgart. These prices can also be found in star cuisine, which in my opinion are justified given the appropriate craftsmanship. I miss a richer selection of salads (I only found Caesar Salad). The atmosphere is nice and European Championship games were shown in large format.

We did a reservation one week ago but we didn‘t our names and we didn‘t sit there. The waitress didn't care and didn't mind that we got angry and left the cafe.

There was a waitress added 5 Euro tips for herself, and intended not showing us the receipt details… which is quite cheeky , cuz we paid extra tips in the end, she didn’t even mention to us. And her service has made us feel uncomfortable too. It is quite a pity that it’s a nice restaurant and food but with bad service. Better ask for checking the receipt before you paying !

The location is beautiful!!! Food was delicious! However , the cocktails were way too expensive for the size and quality. We were a party of 3 people and ordered different drinks, each cost around 15€. It was small and you barely could taste the alcohol. I recommend just to order some non alcoholic drink and treat yourself with a nice dessert instead of paying so much for a cocktail.

The atmosphere is really nice and you immediately feel at home. Unfortunately the staff (lady at reception) is very unfriendly and not very cooperative. When we asked if we would get a table, we were told “no, only at the bar”. However, there were enough places available at this time. We then asked a waiter if we could sit at a table. At that moment the lady from the reception came and said that she was arranging the tables and nothing was available. Unfortunately in a very unfriendly and annoyed tone…

This place has two things going for it—the atmosphere and the curly fries. Burger and caesar salad were both soggy. The service was incredibly slow. And, after waiting 20+ minutes between courses, our server had the nerve to blatantly ask for a 20%.

The MALO is something special! The interior design, with the plants, is unique. I'm a gardener and have never seen anything like this indoors. The reception staff and our stuff were very pleasant and attentive, even though all hell was breaking loose. The appetizer platter, the pike-perch fillet and the roast beef, made from regional products, were absolutely great. I would see a small negative in the table distance. We were able to hear the conversations from both tables next to us, even though the music was extremely loud. Audience; young, stylish, exciting, and pleasantly crazy. It took 20 minutes until we got a card. After we got one from the neighboring table, the waiter suddenly jumped up to the table with a card. After another 10 minutes until we ordered, we waited another 20 minutes for the drinks. It was the same at the other tables. All of this with a waiter who chatted in an overly friendly, almost intrusive manner when he was at the table. A couple next to us almost felt harassed because of their friendliness. Kann die negative Beurteilung gar nicht nachvollziehen vom Service bis zum Essen sowohl auch die Räumlichkeiten einfach nur hervorragend !

We really enjoyed our meals and plan to return again. We were a party of 10 and everyone had a wonderful time in celebration of my daughter's graduation at the restaurant.

There are mice there that crawl under the tables. The waiters there just said they weren't exterminators and it wasn't their problem

It was fine in itself, to the point where we spotted mice on the floor under our table. The waitress was extremely unfriendly and inconsiderate towards us the whole evening. When she received the report about the mice, she simply ignored it and said that she would not hunt the mice. The young lady brought the evening down more than the actual mice. Thanks to the gray-haired waiter who later saved the evening.

Great vibe, lovely patio. Service staff was extremely gracious and friendly, my waiter even took time to translate the menu for me. Food itself was not great, certainly not worth €120 for an appetizer, entree and 2 cocktails. May be a cultural norm but dinner service took almost 2 hours and I was dining alone. Way too long unless someone asks you to slow roll the service.

Malo gets worse the more we visit (on our 3rd visit!). Although we can’t fault our server (he was attentive and polite) the overall service, ambience and food quality was below ‘average’. Totally understaffed and with bizarrely disproportionate service to the wrong crowd this restaurant has so much potential but continues to be so disappointing. It feels like the owner/s have gotten lazy since opening, don’t actually work at the restaurant or oversee it and due to complete lack of competition in Stuttgart they just don’t actually care.. such a shame.

Very impressed by this gem of a restaurant / bar. Seldom have I experienced friendlier staff. My dry martini was exactly that; dry! My steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the lobster was soft, tender and tasteful. The burger I saw across from me looked very inviting.

Ambiance was TOP. In my opinion, MALO is more suitable for small groups and for drinking and relaxing. We were there as a larger group and the menu was reduced to 5 dishes. Supplements were also shortened. If it doesn't bother you, it's fine. We are actually surprisingly disappointed with the service. I don't know if I've always been lucky, but today we weren't happy. At the beginning they were there several times and checked on us, but over the course of the evening the drinks we ordered were not brought or were forgotten. We also had to wait longer until a waiter came over so we could pay. In summary, I think the MALO is good for small groups and more for relaxing and drinking. I wouldn't go again with a large group.

We had a great evening with our friends here, so the ambient and good service, along with the drinks we had deserves 5 stars. As for the food, I stayed unsure which concept Malo wants to drive. Not much choices left if burgers and german dishes are not an option... Still, worth of being a guest and allowing eyes to rest in lovely green that overfills this nice place!

Beautiful restaurant, great and fast service, you really felt at home. Drinks good, but also expensive. Unfortunately the food was okay (considering the price): - Portions really decent, it has to be said. - Tartare: tasty, good portion - Rice Bowl: was okay, had the vibe of a peanut curry from the Asian restaurant around the corner; didn't blow me away - Lobster Linguine: Good noodles, large portion, but nothing that blows you away. Lobster was okay, have had better You can definitely come again for a drink, but I wouldn't come again for food.

Very nice atmosphere, our service was absolutely friendly and gave good advice. The store tends to be a bit chic, so if you like that, you'll be happy. Also some very young people there for cocktails. The menu is a bit unusual, some dishes are quite cheap, others are extremely expensive. The choice of food is also special. For example, I haven't seen crab salad on a menu for decades and at Malo it tastes like it did decades ago. Crabs with cocktail sauce. Is that vintage? The tartare was very tasty, as was the creme brulee with rosemary. The bottom line is that we were definitely satisfied.

Malo is an excellent restaurant with a fantastic ambience and very friendly, English-speaking staff. The many plants in the rooms give the visit an exotic and relaxing touch. The food is of the highest quality and leaves no doubt about the professionalism of the owners. I can recommend it to any traveler.

Modern place, in the heart of the city, furnished with many plants that certainly make a scene. The menu is very varied, satisfying all tastes. Excellent octopus, they also have good bottles of wine from Spain, Italy and Germany.

Cool and relaxed location. Special atmosphere. We felt very comfortable, the food was extremely tasty (octopus!!) and the service was very, very good!

Positiv: -schöne & angenehme Einrichtung Negativ: -extrem Hochpreisig -der Cocktail war extrem warm - nicht genießbar -unser Platz war extrem hell „beleuchtet“ man wurde regelrecht gegrillt und hat dementsprechend stark geschwitzt - auf Nachfrage ob es möglich sei das Licht zu dimmen, wurde es nicht getan. Erst zum Schluss, beim Bezahlen wurde das Licht gedimmt. Man konnte während des Aufenthaltes leider nicht wirklich entspannen. Leider können wir dieses Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

Dieser Laden sieht mich auch nicht mehr,… Das Ambiente ist zwar für Stuttgarter Verhältnisse schön, aber 50 € für ein Steak ohne Beilage das der Koch nicht mal nach Wunsch des Gastes hinbekommt zuzubereiten ist schon enttäuschend. Auch das andere essen das gegessen wurde war nichts besonderes und einfach nur geschmacklos. Die Dreistigkeit zum Schluss bekommt man in diesem Laden noch dazu, dass die Kellner sich das Trinkgeld sich schon selber mit auf die Rechnung stellen..

Quiet restaurant in the city Only had a cappuccino and an espresso macchiato. It was okay, not exactly hot. We didn't feel welcome: "You can sit back in the lounge" ... and she was gone. There wasn't much to do at 4:30 p.m. However, it took some time before someone took care of us. We certainly won't be coming back.

Service was pleasant and good. Atmosphere ok but no chique. Location is good. Dinner/food was acually not good at all. For us no repeat.

Furnished with a lot of love and a lot of attention to detail, Malo is definitely one of the upper class restaurants. If you want to go out for something fancy, this is the place for you! For an evening with main course, dessert, 1 bottle. water & 1 fl. I paid €75 for wine, which is definitely justified for the quality of the food. The seating is pretty tight - so private conversations should only be had here if the person sitting next to you is allowed to listen ;)

It's great, seems to be a Stuttgart hop spot. Food was great, but the tuna carpaccio was too cold. Service tried very hard but a bit too much. Kind of stressed me out. It was ok when we ordered the food. Personally, I like a more personal and authentic approach than just polite service. But the fully filled restaurant proves Malo right. It's probably intentional. So everything is great.

It was clear to us that we would raise the average age in the restaurant a little. But it was a nice evening, a very unusual and different environment, we were lucky with our "service person" because he was really on his toes. And we enjoyed the food. Price/performance for Stgt City is ok for me.

Drinks were ok. Service catastrophic! Absolutely not recommended! We (8 people) were sitting in the lounge area and (2 people) had ordered something to eat. We wanted to enjoy the food we ordered at a free table. Unfortunately, we were refused this with the information that all tables were reserved and therefore not available, although there were obviously still enough tables available for a short period of time to eat the food we ordered. So we were literally left standing with our food in hand... That was my first and last visit. I cannot recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, the food is absolutely not proportionate. High prices - very simple food!

Service didn't work at all. We stood at the front for 5 minutes, only when we asked did an employee take pity on telling us that there was no space because everything was reserved an hour later. We just want something to drink. Oh well. We won't be coming back

I'm shocked! I was eating at Malo for expensive money when I suddenly saw a mouse running under the tables. I pointed this out to the waiter straight away. His reaction was: shrugging his shoulders and saying, “I can’t do anything about it now.” This behavior does not fit the atmosphere and the clientele it is intended to attract. I wonder what the hygienic conditions are like in the kitchen?

Wunderschöne Location, freundliche Bedienung, Gute Drinks. Lange Wartezeiten (1,5h auf das Essen gewartet) und mussten mehrmals an unsere Bestellungen erinnern. Das Essen war gut, aber einfältig und nichts besonderes. Für Drinks würde ich eventuell noch mal vorbeischauen, aber das Essen und die Wartezeit hat mich enttäuscht. Trotzdem vielen Dank für die Freundlichkeit!

Complaint: The user claims that a business relationship existed in this case [see: BGH, judgment of March 1, 2016, Ref.: VI ZR 34/15]. This is disputed by our customer. ******************** Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is 0.0. Service is virtually non-existent or there are far too few staff. Given the prices, I expect much more than an acceptance of the order and then you basically never see the cellar again. Unfortunately, despite calling our attention several times, no one came to take new drinks after they were empty... we waited 45 minutes for the starter. The main course took another 1:15 hours. We asked for the bill after 2:30 hours and decided not to have dessert. The table next to us, who came at pretty much the same time as us, still hadn't had their main course by then. In terms of taste, the food was ok, but far from the very high prices (e.g. field salad with bacon and mushrooms 16 euros) We ended up with a bill of 130 euros for 2 waters, 2 small beers, 1 non-alcoholic cocktail, 2 starters and 2 main courses. There are enough addresses, also with a nice atmosphere, where you can eat much better and enjoy service.

We were thrilled It was a very beautiful evening. The food and the staff were simply amazing... However, there was an incident that evening with the bartender that put a slight damper on what had been such a perfect evening. But we managed that too. We'd love to come back.

Restaurant with great flair. With the color scheme and all the plants you almost feel like you're in the jungle 😉 Unfortunately, due to a lost receipt, we had to wait over an hour for our main course. It was incredibly busy in the restaurant because it was Valentine's Day. The waitress apologized several times and provided us with free espresso and prosecco. Since the food was very good, it was still a very nice and successful evening. 👍
