The fish was cooked perfect, crispy skin, tender and flavorful. It was paired with puréed peas topped with perfectly cooked vegetables. The waiter was friendly and the ambience was amazing.

Unfortunately, hot food only starts at 1 p.m., which contradicts the online reservation, which starts at 12 p.m., and which the waitress unfortunately didn't mention. Great ambiance and good quality food. After we, with our children, received our food after more than an hour and refused to tip, the waitress reacted aggressively and ignored us with accusations. We won't be going there again.

Disappointing visit - unfair treatment of guests We actually only wanted a bite to eat and a drink, but unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing. We had to wait forever, while other guests who arrived after us were given priority – apparently friends or colleagues of the server. I find this kind of behavior simply rude and disrespectful to the other guests. We certainly won't visit this café again – which is a shame, because the first impression was actually good. But a place where only the staff's acquaintances count is an absolute no-go for me.

Top-notch restaurant and cocktail bar. The service is excellent and fast. The food was delicious. The champagne spaghetti with shrimp is highly recommended. Not the cheapest place, but well worth the money! We'd be happy to go back.

If you ever want to know what ignorance feels like with the taste of Aperol, go to Malo. Two reservations, zero seats. The staff? So arrogant you almost want to applaud. You feel less like a guest there, more like a nuisance wearing a jacket.

I went there for dinner with my girls on my birthday. There was a hair on my plate and when I complained the waiter came. He complained very obviously about it and took my plate into the kitchen and not 20 seconds later he came back and said it had been redone. However, I took a picture before he took my plate into the kitchen and it looked exactly the same, even the oil puddles. I didn't feel like I was taken seriously, never again.

The ambiance of this restaurant is truly beautiful and inviting. Unfortunately, the service that evening wasn't up to scratch. We had to wait a very long time and felt forgotten at our table. When paying, the card machine suggested fixed percentages for tips, which I felt were too high given the mediocre service. The waiter (an older gentleman) pressured me and acted in a completely intrusive manner, as if I were obligated to leave a large tip. When I decided not to tip because of this (mediocre service, long wait, and intrusive behavior), the waiter put me in an awkward position in front of the entire group. His behavior was extremely unprofessional, as he loudly shamed me with a derogatory comment simply because he didn't receive a tip. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and completely ruined the positive impression of the ambiance. Tipping should be a token of appreciation for good service, not something to be forced upon me.

You can't get more than a nice look for a lot of money here!

The prices are really high, and the portion sizes are quite small. A water costs over €5, which is absolutely ridiculous. As far as I've seen, there aren't any drinks available for less than €4.60. What really bothered me, and what I find rude, is that when you pay by card, the waiter asks if you want to tip 10%, 15%, or 20%. So you can't decide for yourself whether or how much you want to tip. I find that extremely unprofessional and greedy, given the very high prices. If you need to go to the bathroom, you're expected to pay a lady again. A restaurant of this type shouldn't have to do that. Therefore, I can't recommend it and won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food because we never got around to it. We had a reservation for 9 p.m. on the weekend. Unfortunately, it took a very long time for someone to assign us a table – we had to go straight to a server ourselves. And when we were seated, unfortunately, no one came to take our order. We even signaled twice that we were ready to order. After waiting a total of 30 minutes and no one came to us, we left. The atmosphere of the restaurant looked really nice and inviting, though. It's a shame it didn't work out that evening.

No thanks! It's a real stress-out here! Saturday evening, the staff were completely overwhelmed, unfriendly, and we had to ask to eat together. My main course arrived earlier than my companion's starter. A burger with a cucumber and very dry meat, a shame. The restaurant is very nice, but there are other ways to feel at home. A compliment to the receptionist; the lady was extremely nice.

We were there with friends on July 26, 2025. Everything was good; the food and location were both decent. When paying by card, waiter Ivan Krajinovic wrote a tip of €21.40 himself, which I didn't tell him. I trusted him, and I have witnesses that I gave him a €5 tip in cash. The bill totaled €214.90. I checked my account at home, and that showed everything. I ask the management to monitor your waiters' fraudulent behavior.

The food and the ambiance were truly lovely, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the evening was seriously marred by the service. An older gentleman on the staff was extremely pushy and repeatedly made inappropriate comments, even though we clearly ignored him. This was very unpleasant and ruined the atmosphere. We deliberately decided not to tip, whereupon he again made another remark, which we considered unprofessional. As I was leaving the restaurant, he also put his foot in my way. Whether this was intentional or not, I can't say, but it was definitely irritating. Overall, disappointing service, which unfortunately overshadowed the positive impression of the food and ambiance.

Generally speaking, MALO is a restaurant with a very nice ambiance. The food, however, was so-so. The value for money is completely out of the question. I've had better rump steak at a sports restaurant than this one at MALO. With sides, the portion here was over €45, which was completely overpriced for the quality. My wife had a burger, which was apparently quite good. Maybe I should have had that one, too. What really irritated me, though, was the toilet. What were you thinking, putting a toilet attendant in front of the toilet with a plate and a bucket? That's completely out of place here and cost you a star in terms of atmosphere. For my part, I won't be coming here anymore, because if I want to enjoy Michelin-starred cuisine, this is the wrong place.

"Very Instagrammable" probably sums it up best - the location is awesome and really has something special about it - the food and drinks look fantastic and taste really good, and the quality of the products is also absolutely top-notch - the service was fine on our two visits - super friendly and attentive, but at times we did wait a long time and had to fight for attention - the price is obviously on the higher end, but completely justified given the location - rent, furnishings, and living decorations all have to be financed somehow - ultimately, a clear recommendation for anyone who values appearance and style, but those who just want something good to eat can get it a bit cheaper elsewhere - but a truly special, chic shop

MALO is truly beautifully decorated – stylish, well-thought-out, and full of atmosphere. That's exactly why we were so excited about our visit. Unfortunately, our enjoyment was somewhat dampened by the service. We had to wait over 20 minutes for the menus and drinks, and even afterward, the waiter was barely present. We had to get up several times to find someone so we could even order – we weren't allowed at the bar, as everything had to go through our table server. Particularly unpleasant: The waiter was not only extremely inattentive, but also physically aggressive in a way that was simply inappropriate in such a setting. He repeatedly touched our shoulders without any reason or familiarity – that was definitely a line crossed for us. When it started to rain and our window seat and some of our belongings got wet, it took far too long for the window to even close. Overall, we felt more like a nuisance than a welcome throughout the evening. The food itself was good to very good in terms of taste. The espresso martini at the end was unfortunately disappointing. For what we experienced overall, almost €150 simply wasn't justified. We didn't tip for the reasons mentioned above – which prompted a sharp remark from the waiter. Conclusion: The location and the cuisine have potential, but the service ruined our evening for good. Perhaps it was an isolated incident – ​​but we would definitely prefer a different service team on a second visit.

We spent our girls' night at Malo. It's very centrally located and easily accessible from the Dorotheen parking garage. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is really lovely. You can sit inside or outside, and there's plenty of room even for a larger group. The menu is straightforward, but there's something for every taste. There's also a seasonal menu. In addition to the typical alcoholic drinks, there are also delicious non-alcoholic drinks. The food, rump steak and beef tartar, were very good! If you order the nachos by yourself, you'll hardly be able to finish them. Definitely worth a visit!

Even though we were a large group, the service was incredibly good and fast. The staff was very friendly and attentive, so we all felt completely at home. The woman at the review really shouldn't be taken seriously. I've stood in front of her four times now and each time she looks at me in horror and says there's no chance today, we're completely full, even though there's more than enough space inside and the next people who line up without a reservation get in without any problems. The woman should learn not to have anything against people with dark hair and beards.

The Malo is an eye-catcher. It's worth it. We had very friendly service. The food was good, but not amazing. In our search for culinary highlights, Malo didn't make it to the top places.

Only good for atmosphere. Food was nothing great, chicken was not cooked well (small drops of blood inside), service is bad with rude waiters who refuse to serve dishes if too many people order the same dish and kitchen told us the chicken is fine like this even with the blood inside! Went there for the first time today with friends. The service was very friendly and despite the incredible number of guests, we had our food and drinks at our table quite quickly. The food was delicious and varied. Unfortunately, the later the evening got, the louder the music became and we could hardly understand each other at all. And the conversations at the tables around us made the noise level even louder. It's a shame, because the restaurant is really great.

Vorspeise Buratta, welcher eiskalt war und sehr wenig Gemüse dabei war für 17€… Dann haben wir das „Highlight“ Zwiebelrostbraten bestellt, nach dem Gargrad wurde nicht einmal gefragt, und ich bekam eine Schuhsohle, bekam zwar nach meiner Reklamation einen neuen, welcher aber nurnoch halb so gross war, wie der erste. Für das Geld, hatte ich viel mehr erwartet, schade. Es wird mehr auf die Location ( Instahotspot ) geachtet, als für gutes Essen und guter Service, serh schade.

The lady at the entrance today was very unfriendly. A very negative, unmotivated young lady. We wanted to go to the restaurant area and she rudely said that this was only possible with a reservation. So we spontaneously decided to go again.

The two of us ate here at Christmas and were more than thrilled with the place. The decor is super modern and uniquely designed and creates a very aesthetic ambience. The service was extremely nice and professional and you felt absolutely comfortable despite the sometimes long waiting time. The prices are a little higher, but absolutely justified for the food. The dishes were extremely high quality prepared and simply delicious. We would also highly recommend the cocktails, they were also really good. We'd love to come back.

Another sobering experience in Stuttgart's gastronomy. Although there was nothing going on, the table we ordered wasn't prepared, there was no beer, the reception was sparse and in the end I was deducted 20 euros too much on top of the already extreme prices. Unfortunately I only noticed this when I got home.
