Surprisingly good food and cocktails. Food was very, very tasty, cocktails were inexpensive and also very, very tasty. Great staff and service with lots of jokes and humor.

Very friendly even with language barrier

Our food was delicious, service was very nice. But for us, good service also includes a PAPER menu!!! Not everyone likes to choose their food via QR code on their cell phone or iPad! Older people in particular prefer to be able to do without smartphones etc., at least when eating. We were there yesterday with friends and everyone was really not amused, not seeing our food on the menu or with explanatory pictures. Should be changed again as soon as possible.

A nice restaurant with a large terrace and lots of evening sun and cocktails at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the burgers were rather boring and compared to 1-2 other burger locations in Bayreuth, they unfortunately didn't compete. Still a good shop.

Excellent food in a pleasant atmosphere

I went there today for dinner with my partner (it was his first time). The menu is very varied, so there is something for almost every taste. The selection of drinks is great, there is nothing you can't imagine, I love the cocktails and like to try them out. The dish is plentiful and prepared with good quality, so far I haven't been disappointed once. The staff is super friendly, the boss himself is also totally attentive and there if you need anything. I would recommend everyone to take a look. Thanks for every new impression. 👌🏻☺️

Big compliments to the kitchen and the service 👍👍 (06/28/24) everything was really perfect. Prices are a bit high but the staff etc also have to be paid. Will come back and hope to celebrate my birthday here.

The house in which the bar is located at the top looks very abandoned, but that shouldn't put you off. Once in the bar you will immediately be overwhelmed by its atmosphere. There's always something going on, but I've never seen it completely full. Service is quick and friendly. You can definitely have a nice evening there.

Very good food, delicious cocktails, the waiter forgot that we wanted a burger on two plates and came to the table again to apologize for it. Swam over it; May occur. But such an apology is unfortunately rare today. Otherwise the service was very friendly and courteous. There is also a well-equipped play area for the kids. You simply feel comfortable here.

Top service. Enjoy your meal. That was once. The map has now been changed several times and unfortunately it hasn't gotten any better. Unfortunately, the staff fluctuation didn't help either. That's why I unfortunately have to change my rating. We still enjoy going there for cocktails, but we eat somewhere else first.

We were there at the weekend, I thought everything was great, the food was hot and tasty, except for my uncle the beef steak was medium rare and dry - service was very good.

There were four of us in Malibu. I ordered roast beef again because I couldn't find anything else on the menu for me and even though I was disappointed the last few times, just like now. The roast beef was ordered "medium" and then came more than "well done", i.e. fully cooked and bone dry :-( In terms of taste, it just didn't taste like anything, just like the Homestyle Fries. The dressing on the salad that came with it didn't taste like anything either. For €31.90, the roast beef is simply too expensive in its condition and taste. After several times you have to be able to get the roast beef to medium rare. According to my guests, the cocktails tasted quite good. The waitress (young man) was friendly, funny and helpful. The atmosphere takes some getting used to. We sat inside, but also in the cool breeze after the sun had gone. The chairs aren't very comfortable either. I don't necessarily have to have the Malibu again. Unfortunately I can't give a better rating.

The worst burger I've ever eaten, never again, breakfast buffet is a disaster and very expensive never again. Thank you very much

Delicious food, a bit limited selection, but still ok. The service is very good. The atmosphere is very nice, I immediately feel like I'm on the beach.

No longer recommended. We've loved going to brunch for years and it's always been great! Unfortunately, the price was so reduced here that we certainly won't be coming back, which is a shame!

We went to the BBQ for the first time, which always takes place on the first Friday of the month. Spareribs, chicken, corn, stuffed peppers, salmon, feta, cevapcici, steak, bratwursts, minced meat bomb and and and. There was also a generous salad and sauce buffet. The service was great and very attentive. The cocktails are very well priced and also very tasty. The ambience is great and takes up the Malibu and beach theme very nicely. We will definitely come back in the summer and try out the terrace.

No longer recommended. The service (more precisely a certain waitress) was very poor and not interested in the guests. It was Friday and not much going on (I understand). The food is expensive and not good, but these aren't actually difficult dishes. I'll start with the burger: we were asked whether it was medium or well done and we ordered well done. Then a burger came that was still bloody. Next, the veggie burger with fries: the vegetarian (there was no vegan burger) burger paddy was only lukewarm and the fries were unsalted and very soft. I wonder when was the last time I had such bad fries. And the vegan baked potato: the salad that came with it was simply not agreed upon and the vegetables were cold and not fried. The only good thing there are the cocktails and the falafel as a starter. Unfortunately, not enough in relation to the negative. You'd better look for another restaurant in Bayreuth.

Had 2 cocktails, appetizers & 2 burgers. The cocktails were okay. After half an hour we started to ask when the starter would come. Shortly afterwards it was there... together with the main course? Then why offer appetizers at all? Oh well. The naan bread for the starter was really hard, some of the dips weren't good. There was no trace of the “crispy bacon” or fried onions. It was a completely soggy burger, with half raw bacon & limp onions. You should be able to expect to get what you order You can also confidently go to McDonalds or put a frozen pizza in the oven. You have more of it and don't pay €70.

Very nice restaurant with a lot of selection and good food.

After visiting this restaurant several times, I would now like to leave a review. What I always remembered: - Long waiting times for drinks and food, regardless of the time of day and occupancy - cold cappuccino and coffee (10/10 were cold, stood at the counter for some time and were brought late by the waitress) - very poor selection of vegetarian main dishes on the menu - Price/performance at brunch is absolutely not in proportion - poor selection at brunch, there is even a better and higher quality selection in small boutique hotels with small breakfast buffets - Hot dishes at brunch overcooked (tortellini could easily be made into baby food, fish dry even though it was in sauce,... ), way too much cheese, probably to "enhance" the taste - Drinks have to be ordered separately at brunch, for the price you can expect at least a pot of coffee to pour and a pot of water Overall, I was always disappointed after the visit, both for brunch, dinner and a cozy get-together in the evening.

Quick confirmation of online table reservations. Service was nice and friendly. Food came quickly and was hot. Visually, the food was very nicely presented. The food tasted good. You can't complain. The location is nice but a bit noisy due to the open space.

Unfortunately, the well-known Malibu is no longer the same as it used to be. Big disappointment on the last visit. The food tasted okay, BUT: Side salads came when we had finished the main course, the baked potato was cold and the side dish (shour cream) only came at the end of the meal, so the cold potato had to be swallowed without anything. The bread we ordered also only came when the dish was eaten was...impossible hospitality for us!!!!

Yesterday we were there in a small group of men to eat burgers before bowling. We were asked how we would like the burger. Medium o Through. We all decided on medium and were looking forward to the Homemade Fries according to the menu. Visually the burger looked pretty good. But after the first piss we all realized that the meat was medium rare, but the outside was seared far too hot. Was pretty hard to slightly burnt. As I said, they were medium, but unfortunately also absolutely dry. Unfortunately, the fries were normal fries from a bag and not homemade. Conclusion: Unfortunately very disappointing for the price.

Leckere Cocktails, nettes Personal

Super nette und flotte Bedienung. Cooles Ambiente und leckeres Essen. Passendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir empfehlen das Lokal sehr gerne weiter. Die Terasse darf auch bei nicht so schönem Wetter genutzt werden, also auch in der Coronazeit eine ideale Alternative zum Innenbereich. Bei (Abend)Sonne kommt jedoch richtig chilliges Urlaubsfeeling auf.

Ein super tolles Restaurant im Surfer-Stil. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und wenn die Bestellung mal nicht passt wird sofort um Abhilfe geschaffen. ( Danke an den Chefkellner, der die Reservierungen managt 😊) Das Essen ist sehr lecker, reichlich und ansprechend angerichtet. Zudem wird 1x pro Monat ein BBQ vom Gasgrill angeboten ( Buffet) " Preise siehe Webseite " Vor dem Restaurant gibt es ausreichend Parkplätze. Fazit: immer wieder gerne.

Wir waren zum Brunch, war leider enttäuscht.Komme aus der Gastronomie und die netten Leute müssen viel besser machen bzw. vieles noch lernen,auch wenn es Studenten oder Aushilfen sind.Ok Personal ist in der heutigen Zeit sehr zufrieden.

Essen und Personal war gut. Ambiente nur 3 Sterne, allerdings ist das Geschmackssache. Ich mags eher kleiner

Wir waren heute zum wiederholten Male im „Malibu“ und wie gewohnt war es ein schöner Abend mit gutem Essen. Die Portionen sind reichlich und die Auswahl ist gut: Burger, indische Reisgerichte, Salate und Bowls, Chicken Fingers, Ofenkartoffeln mit verschiedenen Dips, um eine Auswahl zu nennen. Ich persönlich finde die meisten Speisen im „Malibu“ etwas zu salzhaltig, mit Ausnahme der Kartoffeln, die hätten etwas Salz vertragen können 😉 Die Cocktails sind lecker und preislich sehr fair. Für uns wichtig ist nach wie vor die tolle große Spielecke. So können wir Erwachsenen entspannt beisammen sitzen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir werden sicher wieder kommen!

Sehr gutes Essen und eine wunderschöne Location. Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich & aufmerksam. Im Sommer kann man auf der Terrasse richtig schön sitzen.m, aber auch innen ist es eine Top Atmosphäre. Parkplätze gibt es genug vor Ort.

War zum Feiern dort, nettes Personal nur etwas unaufmerksam. Bis eine Bedienung kam dauerte es, und Getränke nachbestellen dauerte auch. Essen war lecker und ausreichend. Schade das es die Zusatzkarte nicht mehr gab. Die fanden wir immer Klasse. Sonst passte alles.

Einfach nur eine wahnsinnig schöne Location, super nettes und aufmerksames Servicepersonal und sehr leckeres Essen - anders kann man es nicht sagen. Es war die absolut richtige Entscheidung unseren 40. Geburtstag mit 124 Gästen hier zu feiern! Die Planung durch Chris war mega unkompliziert und sehr professionell! Wir konnten entspannt feiern und uns wurde jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. In der heutigen Zeit so schnelles, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal zu haben, spricht für die Location und die Chefs. Danke für die mega Feier in einer außergewöhnlichen Location in der man sich einfach nur wohlfühlen kann!

Lecker..nette Leute, macht Spaß

Die Getränke und das Essen wurden trotz vieler Gäste sehr schnell aufgenommen. Das Essen selbst ist sehr lecker. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Cocktails. Es gibt eine tolle spielecke. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön. Leider ist die Karte nicht sonderlich groß was die Auswahl an Speisen.

Sehr leckerer Burger mit frischen Zutaten. Auch die Cocktails sind sehr lecker und mit frischem Obst garniert. Von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick aufs Festspielhaus. Leider stört die Norma-Beleuchtung. Aber das ist nur ne Kleinigkeit.

Einfach "WOW!!!!!" so gut und lecker in einem absolut stimmigen Ambiente mit wirklich nettem Servicepersonal haben wir schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Hier passt wirklich Alles. Nochmal fünf ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ von uns. Daumen hoch und mehr als nur sehr zu empfehlen.

Super schönes Lokal, Service ist schnell und aufmerksam, Chef arbeitet selbst und ist mega freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das essen ist mega lecker und allein deswegen immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Hausgemachte Limo und Eistee sind zu empfehlen. Jeder der einen Besuch in Bayreuth plant oder grundsätzlich Bock auch Surf‘nTurf und andere Leckereien hat sollte im Malibu vorbei schauen

Die Preise sind für Industriegebiet und im Vergleich zur sonstigen Gastronomie in Bayreuth echt frech. 15€ für Chicken Stripes und „Homestyle Fries“, welche so wenig mit Homestyle zu tun haben wie ein Fahrrad mit der Formel 1, ist finde ich nicht angemessen. Die Pommes waren wirklich die größte Enttäuschung, Süßkartoffelpommes waren nice. Meinem Magen ging’s danach gar nicht gut

Laden halb leer um 20:30 Uhr und keinen Platz mehr bekommen für 4 Personen. Hatte man keine Lust mehr uns zu bedienen? Schon leicht unglaubwürdig, zumal mehrere Personen just in dem moment aufgestanden und gegangen sind.

Alle guten Speisen sind von der Karte genommen. Alle 4 veganen Speisen sind weg, viele andere Speisen auch. Sehr unflexible Küche. Nach dem Umbau leider keine Empfehlung mehr. Die Bedienung wusste nicht, welche Beilagen bei den Speisen sind. Es gibt fast nur noch Getränke.

Die Atmosphäre ist super. Vorallem bei guten Wetter. Das Restaurant ist sehr groß und bietet viele Sitzmöglichkeiten. Die Bowl war vegetarisch und sehr lecker. Der Kellner war total lustig und höflich. Jeder Zeit würden wir wieder kommen und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Das Malibu ist seit gut zwei Jahren unser Geheimtipp in Bayreuth. Egal ob Abendessen oder Frühstücks Brunch, es ist immer wieder ein kulinarisches Highlight. Eines der schönsten Veranstaltung ist die Karibische Nacht mit Buffet, Show Grillen auf der Außen Terrasse und Live Musik. Ganz wichtig ist auch das die Bedingungen immer freundlich und zuvorkommend sind. Kommen gerne wieder.
