Service und Mittagstisch top! Als wir die Reste mitnehmen wollten, gab es sogar einen Nachschlag.

Das Essen war furchtbar und schmeckte überhaupt nicht. Auch das Personal war nicht besonders freundlich; eine Dame an der Rezeption machte sich über uns lustig.

Wer gut Indisch essen möchte ist hier genau richtig... Das essen ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Essen kam sehr warm und lecker. Außerdem kommt das Essen in großen Mengen für der Preis. Es ist perfekt! Die Limonade ist für mich der Highlight🤩! Die Kellnerin war sehr freundlich zu uns. Der Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und 1 Minute weit von Bahnof.

Immer wenn ich von Österreich nach Hamburg komme, besuche ich Makalu Kitchen. Die Besitzer sind superfreundlich, die Atmosphäre ist total entspannt und einladend, und das Essen ist köstlich. Besonders das nepalesische Hühnchen-Thali ist ein Genuss. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die authentische nepalesische Küche suchen!

Wir sind vor Konzerten oder vor Fussballspielen sehr gerne dort zum Essen, das Personal ist nett und flink, das Essen ist richtig asiatisch, grosse Auswahl. Getränke sind auch günstig.

Seit der Eröffnung begleiten wir dieses Restaurant und kommen regelmäßig mit der ganzen Familie hierher. In all den Jahren haben wir nicht nur das leckere Essen schätzen gelernt, sondern auch die herzliche Atmosphäre. Die Speisekarte ist sehr vielfältig und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Besonders begeistert uns immer wieder die Frische der Gerichte mit viel knackigem Gemüse, den abwechslungsreichen Soßen und dem frisch zubereiteten Sushi. Die hausgemachte Limonade und der Mango Lassi sind ebenfalls absolute Favoriten unserer Familie! Mittlerweile kennen wir das gesamte Team persönlich, und jeder Besuch fühlt sich ein bisschen wie ein Nachhausekommen an. Das gesamte Team ist immer freundlich, herzlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich hier jederzeit willkommen und wertgeschätzt. Ob mit der ganzen Familie, für ein spontanes Essen zwischendurch oder zum Mitnehmen – wir kommen immer wieder gern! Wir sind nur durch Zufall in dieses Restaurant gestolpert, da wir gegenüber im Hotel übernachtet haben und waren sehr positiv überrascht von der Qualität des Essens. Es war wirklich ausgesprochen lecker und eines der besten Asiaten, wo wir je gegessen haben.

Ich verstehe die negativen Bewertungen nicht. Ich war eben dort essen und war wirklich begeistert: große Portionen, super lecker und der Reis perfekt auf den Punkt gekocht. Außerdem war das Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Für mich einfach perfekt!

Im Makalu Kitchen konnten wir ohne laute Geräuschkulisse entspannt etwas essen gehen. Obwohl es relativ ruhig ist, lässt das Ambiente allerdings etwas zu wünschen übrig: Die Wände sind in einem tristen Gelb gestrichen und irgendwie passt alles nicht ganz zusammen. Das Essen war allerdings lecker! Nur die Karte war nicht mehr aktuell - die Bedienung hat dann aber alles richtig gestellt. Nummer 63 - sehr zu empfehlen! 😊

Ich war von der Qualität der bestellten Gerichte total begeistert. Die Karte bietet eine sehr große Auswahl an Vor,- und Nachspeisen. Bei der Auswahl an Hauptgerichten gibt es natürlich Ente, Hühnchen, Fisch und vieles weitere an Hauptspeisen. Der Service ist super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.

Die Bedienung war freundlich, das Essen kam recht schnell und war sehr lecker. Wir hatten Edamame, vegetarisches Sushi und Hauptgerichte. Alles war wirklich gut.

Hier gibt es ein wirklich leckeres und (bis auf die komplett fehlende Schärfe) recht authentisches Vegetable Thali. Wer es aus (Nord)Indien kennt, wird es hier lieben. Service schnell und freundlich (mittags) und preislich sehr moderat (das Thali 11,90 als Mittagstisch, abends wohl teurer aber auch umfangreicher, hab ich noch nicht probiert)

Ich habe heute nach einem langen Reisetag bei diesem Restaurant bestellt, da es meinem Partner nicht gut ging und wir uns einfach etwas Unkompliziertes und Wohltuendes wünschten. Leider war die ganze Angelegenheit ziemlich frustrierend. Als die Bestellung etwa 10 Minuten verspätet war, rief ich an, um nachzufragen, und mir wurde gesagt, der Fahrer sei unterwegs. Soweit so gut. Nachdem aber weitere 20 Minuten ohne Neuigkeiten vergangen waren, rief ich erneut an und erhielt dieselbe Antwort. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatten wir schon ziemlich lange gewartet. Als die Bestellung 45 Minuten verspätet war (und etwa 1,5 Stunden seit meiner Bestellung vergangen waren), rief ich ein drittes Mal an. Diesmal meldete sich eine nepalesische Dame, die ziemlich unfreundlich war. Ich fragte, ob sie nachsehen könnte, wo der Fahrer sei, da wir schon so lange warteten. Anstatt mir zu helfen, sagte sie mir, dass sie kein GPS hätten, um die Fahrer zu orten, und dass ich einfach warten müsse. Daraufhin fragte ich, etwas frustrierter, aber immer noch verständlich, ob sie den Fahrer anrufen und nachfragen könne, da dieser vom Restaurant organisiert werde. Dann ging es erst richtig bergab. Sie wurde lauter, fragte mich, was ich von ihr wolle und warum ich das mit ihr besprechen wolle, und sprach dabei sehr abweisend und aggressiv. Ich war ehrlich gesagt überrascht. Ich war nicht unhöflich, ich wollte ihr nur sagen, dass sie mir helfen könnte, mein Essen nach der langen Wartezeit zu finden. Ich versuchte zu erklären, dass ich nur um Hilfe bat, da die Bestellung vom Restaurant bearbeitet wurde, aber sie unterbrach mich ständig und wurde immer gereizter. Da platzte mir der Kragen und ich sagte ihr, dass ihr Tonfall nicht in Ordnung sei und dass solches Verhalten nicht akzeptabel sei. Sie redete weiterhin aggressiv, also beendete ich das Gespräch mit den Worten, dass ich nie wieder bei diesem Restaurant bestellen würde. Letztendlich musste ich die Bestellung stornieren und erhielt das Essen nach so langer Wartezeit seit 18:35 Uhr nicht. Wir mussten bei einem anderen Restaurant bestellen und bekamen unser Essen schließlich um 21:15 Uhr geliefert. 🥲 Verspätungen können vorkommen, das verstehe ich. So behandelt zu werden, nur weil man nach dem Lieferstatus fragt, ist wirklich nicht in Ordnung. Anschreien und aggressives Verhalten sind absolut inakzeptabel. Wäre das Gespräch höflich verlaufen, hätte ich gerne länger gewartet. Leider war das eine unserer schlimmsten Erfahrungen beim Bestellen von Essen, und wir werden hier definitiv nicht mehr bestellen. PS: Das ist nicht das erste Mal, dass sich die Bestellung verzögert hat; es ist schon mehrmals passiert. Wenn ihr also richtig Hunger habt, würde ich euch nicht empfehlen, hier zu bestellen, denn ihr werdet garantiert hungrig und enttäuscht sein.

Ich weiss echt nicht wie die ihre Bewertungen bekommen haben ,das Ambiente, der erste Eindruck beim betreten ganz furchtbar .Wir sind leider nicht hinaus gelaufen .Die Ente muss magersüchtig gewesen sein.

Ein toller Ort zum Essen oder Mitnehmen. Authentische nepalesische und indische Küche. Familienfreundlich, gute Lage direkt am S-Bahnhof (Stellingen). Sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die authentische asiatische Küche lieben.

Wir haben hier zu Abend gegessen und hatten eine durchwachsene Erfahrung. Es war recht voll und es gab nur einen Kellner, der die Bestellungen aufgenommen hat (weiteres Personal hat nur serviert oder abgeräumt), sodass es recht lange gedauert hat, bis wir überhaupt bestellen konnten. Die Karte teilt sich in drei Küchen: Thai/Vietnamesisch, Indisch/Nepalesisch und Sushi. Wir haben uns für Tofu mit Soi Sam in dunkler Soße aus der Thai-Karte und Paneer Makhani aus der indischen Karte entschieden. Die Zubereitung hat auch recht lange gedauert. Geschmacklich war das indische Gericht top, die Soße war schön cremig und gut gewürzt. Der Thai Tofu mit Soi Sam war hingegen eine Enttäuschung. Die dunkle Soße war recht geschmacklos, dafür aber viel zu salzig. Wir waren uns vom Geschmack her auch nicht sicher, ob es wirklich vegetarisch war oder nicht vielleicht Fischsoße o.ä. verwendet wurde. Preislich waren die Gerichte an sich fair, sofern sie beide gut geschmeckt hätten. Indisch würden wir hier nochmal indisch Essen gehen, aber vom Soi Sam Tofu abraten. Daher nur eine eingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Essen gut 😁 Wen die Kantinenatmo, die plärrende Popmusik, die telefonierenden Gäste, die lautstark sprechenden Inder und die unfreundliche Bedienung nicht stören ist hier bestens aufgehoben. PS: aus aktuellem Anlass... Wer als Restaurantinhaber glaubt, Bewertungen löschen zu lassen, indem er mir "Diffamierung" vorwirft bekommt zu 100% eine kostenpflichtige Abmahnung von meinem Anwalt. Wir waren am Wochenende zum ersten Mal dort und haben Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Das Restaurant macht einen schönen Eindruck und der Besitzer sowie das Personal waren wirklich sehr nett — deshalb tut es mir auch ehrlich leid, überhaupt eine kritische Bewertung schreiben zu müssen 😕 Während wir auf unser Essen gewartet haben, ist uns eine Maus aus Richtung Küche durch den Gastraum gelaufen und direkt an uns vorbei…😶 Das war ziemlich unangenehm und hat uns schon erschreckt. Wir haben vor Ort nichts gesagt und das Essen trotzdem mitgenommen, was aber auf Grund dessen leider nicht mehr mit guten Gewissen zu genießen war… Zu Hause ist uns dann noch aufgefallen, dass eine Bestellung falsch war — statt gebratenem Reis haben wir gebratene Nudeln bekommen. Wie gesagt: super freundliche Leute, aber das sollte so einfach nicht passieren.

Ich habe mich reingesetzt. Super nette Bedienung. Die Ente war Ruck zuck am Tisch. Geschmeckt hat's auch. Nix wahnsinnig aufregendes. Gebackene Entenbrust. Ich war vom Preis/Leistung Verhältnis zufrieden.

kann die Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Hatte Bratnudeln mit Ente bestellt. Die Ente war zwar cross, aber alle Stücke hatten eine gelbe Fettschicht, teilweise 0,5 cm... Hatte die Bedienung angesprochen, sagte aber nur, dass er mit dem Lieferanten sprechen muss. Der Teller ging fast komplett zurück, berechnet wurde aber der volle Preis.

Durch Zufall entdeckt auf der Erkundung rund um das Hotel. Ein super angenehmes Flair und Ambiente dort. Trotz das heute der HSV spielt, super freundlicher Empfang und Service. Das Essen überraschte uns sehr. Das erste Restaurant was kein Glutamat verwendet für ihre Gerichte und das schmeckte man. Es war super lecker und das Restaurant ist eine Empfehlung.

Sushi bestellt zum Liefern. Ca 50€ Hat geschmeckt wie 150€ Sehr sehr gut, sauber, schnell geliefert mit allmöglichem extra Zeugs. Der geilste war der Fahrer, der russische Bruder. Beste Grüße 🙏

Es hat mir immer gut geschmeckt, aber seit kurzem wurden die Gerichte verändert und sind nicht mehr authentisch und schmecken auch nicht mehr. Chana Masala OHNE Linsen und Kichererbsen, aber dafür mit geriffelten Tiefkühl-Karotten, Blumenkohl und Brokkoli… die Soße schmeckt auch total komisch und ist von der Konsistenz ganz anders als vorher. Und wenn man Algensalat bestellt, bekommt man nicht einfach nur Algen sondern eine viel kleinere Portion Algensalat als früher, aber dafür mit Karotten, Lauchzwiebeln und Granatapfelkernen oben drauf, was da eigentlich nichts zu suchen hat… Chana Masala ist leider ungenießbar geworden, sehr schade.

Das Essen ist wunderbar, so lecker und es sind große Portionen. Seitdem wir das 1. Mal dort gegessen haben, bestellen wir regelmäßig dort. Das Personal ist übrigens auch sehr nett und freundlich.

The food arrived very quickly, but that's about it. We eat Chinese food quite often. This was the worst meal I've ever had. We tried it and threw it all away. We would never order from there again. What a waste of €33.40!

We ordered today and it was great! The sushi is fantastic, the baked chicken with coconut milk is amazing. The delivery driver was also very friendly. We'll definitely order again. 😊

The food was absolutely delicious and tasted fantastic. But I especially want to commend the delivery driver: I'm currently using crutches, which makes things a bit difficult. He noticed this immediately and kindly brought the food right to my apartment. He even asked where he should leave it and if there was anything else he could do to help – so thoughtful! This kindness and consideration really made my day. Such wonderful service is truly rare. I will definitely order from here again! Thanks again!

A truly outstanding restaurant! The service is incredibly friendly and attentive, even when the place is packed and there are lots of walk-ins – you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The entire team is incredibly warm and welcoming. The ambiance is fantastic: great lighting, pleasant music, and an atmosphere perfect for conversation. The food is a real culinary delight – every dish is perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. We love coming here… and we will definitely be back!

If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. We ordered sweet and sour baked chicken with noodles twice and beef with onions and rice once. The wait time was okay, but when we unpacked the food, I noticed that the baked chicken came with rice both times instead of noodles. When I called Makalu, there wasn't even an apology; instead, they told me on the phone that they would change it next time. Naturally, I refused and wanted them to deliver the food correctly. What was annoying was that they only sent us new noodles. Are we supposed to eat the baked chicken cold now? Unfortunately, they weren't even proper Asian noodles, but some cheap pasta from the supermarket. It's a shame that with the high prices they charge, they pay so little attention to quality. One thing is for sure! We won't be ordering from here again.

I went to dinner with my girlfriend. Mistakes can happen, but on this evening there were simply too many, which led to my review. The first major difficulty for the waitress was understanding that we wanted a glass of water. She was new and apologized (totally fine). A more experienced waitress then took over. When they brought us a bottle with a glass, the crown cap was forgotten (we didn't have anything to remove it). About 20 minutes later, when the food arrived, there was no cutlery on the table, so we had to ask again. My girlfriend received something different from what she ordered. My meal was delicious, but the price of €14 for the main course wasn't justified. We also had to ask a second waiter to pay because the first waitress had forgotten about us. What a shame, not recommended!

Great food and friendly staff. Unfortunately they no longer offer reusable containers (Vytal boxes) for takeaways, lots of plastic waste now (boxes, lids and plastic bag).

This restaurant is located on the way from the train station to the Volksparkstadion. In my opinion, they're taking their time. The food was okay, but nothing exceptional, and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time, even though there were plenty of servers. When we asked for the bill, we had to ask three people to pay it after 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, the sauce wasn't tasty at all. The menu is a wild mix of everything, but there aren't any truly good dishes.

The sushi was good but not pretentious. Our baked sushi was extremely delicious. We'd be happy to come back. I would like a nicer interior for a longer stay, but that's a matter of taste, of course.

Good Nepalese restaurant if you're heading to the Volksparkstadion and looking for food at the Stellingen stop. Nothing special, but good.

We were there by chance. The food selection was very exciting and varied (they also serve Nepalese dishes!). Overall, a nice visit; the food was excellent, and the price/performance ratio was absolutely reasonable; I would go back. The decor is pretty okay; the bathrooms are okay, but you can live with that.

The portions are very large. The food is fresh. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming.

I have to say, it's by far the most reasonable price compared to the shops in the inner cities. The portion is easily enough for two people. Two regular deep plates full of noodles and plenty of baked meat. Excellent value for money. I can only recommend it. Hotel guests get a 10 percent discount. Friendly staff and highly recommended. I ordered fried noodles with baked chicken. Thank you very much.

Super tasty, 100% authentic Nepali flavors—those momos with spicy chutney, rice and chicken curry were unreal. Huge variety, from Indian curries to sushi, all fresh and flavorful. Great customer service; they were so friendly and quick with my delivery to Eimsbüttel. Awesome prices for big portions. My new favorite spot in Hamburg! Highly recommend visiting.

The curry chicken was great, but the duck was either poorly done or heated in oil and was completely rubbery the next day.

Absolutely loved Makalu Kitchen! The food was super fresh and full of flavor — you can really tell they care about quality. The service was super friendly too, and the whole place just has a really nice, relaxed vibe. We tried a few different dishes and honestly everything was spot on. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in Hamburg. Can’t wait to come back!

The food is really excellent. I've never had anything that didn't taste good, the portions are really big and there's enough for the next day. I would just like a cheaper noodle box to go for €5 in case I get a little hungry. But nevertheless the restaurant is recommended to everyone.

Very tasty Indian food and sushi

Bad service. We didn't take menus at first. After we were able to order, we received the wrong food at the table twice. We ordered 5 menus. The first one came about 15 minutes before the rest. We ended up being able to eat within an hour of entering the restaurant.

Ordered for a birthday party, at least tried to. The first call was answered by a lady who barely spoke German, I didn't even order, she was gone and I was able to listen to her colleagues cooking for 17 minutes, I just put it aside and forgot about it. I screamed into the phone, I hung up and tried again, she answered, she asked for the phone number, after reciting it 7 times she couldn't get the turn to enter it correctly until she was replaced by a colleague who finally spoke the language and was friendly. The food was very good despite the circumstances, unfortunately something was forgotten and the numbering of the orders was sometimes illegible. Anyone who has a lot of time and patience is well advised, for us it was the first and last order there.

They didn't understand anything on the phone. We were left lying on the side and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to answer. The lady didn't understand anything and after repeating the number 10 times she still couldn't write down the number. When we unpacked our food, many dishes for 160€ were missing. We were so cheeky that we would never order them again

I ordered food 2 hours ago and didn't get it and then and then I tried to call them again. Unfortunately, no one came in when I wrote down the number for my employee and called her number. Then they answered immediately and then she said something to me about we because we have a lot to do and then, when I wanted to continue discussing with you, she just said goodbye and hung up without me saying goodbye and wanted to say that I didn't need my order anymore

We have been here very often. That probably speaks for itself. The food is very tasty. The service good. A bit slow though. The ambience is not that cozy, as the dining room is quite large and furnished in a rather spartan manner. However, it is very clean. And that's the main thing.

I ordered online and it was ready on time. The vegetables are nice and crunchy, the sauce is nice and spicy and there is delicious chicken in it. The service was very friendly. She's had to be patient with us all week. And I was given a tea to warm up. All in all very healthy and highly recommended. Gladly again.

HANDS OFF!!!! Bring burnt food. Say I get this as a voucher. I then order again by phone a week later and she says I have to order a meal with my voucher because she can't send her driver for free!!! This is already fraud!!!!!! Complaint to Lieferando goes out!!!!! So I'm rating the food I ordered here. Nepalese. The meat is absolutely hard. Hard to chew. The bread is never naan, I've never seen anything like that, fart dry. Lentil soup without salt. Portion of chutney too small. The chutney sauce was delicious Then I love ordering Indian food from the Indian restaurant in Eidelstedt

We dined here this evening for the first time. We felt very comfortable and the food was very tasty. Gladly again

The star is there because it was nice and warm inside :-D Waited 15 minutes until the menu came, waited 15 minutes until we could order, after 15 minutes the starter and drinks arrived, but without cutlery (wait another 5 minutes) and a drink of 2 was wrong... The starter plate for 2 people It was dead fried something with 3 bad dips (probably) out of the tube... Oh, and we then had to ask 3 times for the bill, which came after a total of 25 minutes.... We definitely won't go there again...

The staff wasn't prepared for the workload, we waited forever until we could order and only because we had to draw attention to ourselves again. Then it took another half hour until the drinks came. The food was okay, but nothing special, so the price wasn't appropriate. It also arrived lukewarm. Asking for soy sauce was impossible as we were completely ignored. Overall, unfortunately not a good experience, we wouldn't come back. Too bad!

It's a nepali restaurant and I like the food and the price for those food items was really great 👍🏻, Its very nice food on a very low price as compare to other European countries.

We have always enjoyed ordering here, we like the food. But this time the driver really shot the bird. We pre-ordered the food for 6:30 p.m. At 6:42 p.m. we saw the driver drive into our yard and were able to watch him from the window. He stayed in his car and started playing on his phone and smoking. At 6:54 p.m. we called Makalu and asked when our food would arrive. We were told that the streets were quite busy and that the driver had been on the way for a while and should arrive soon. A full 9 minutes later, at 7:03 p.m., the driver got out of the car and brought us food. That's 21 (!!!) minutes after he arrived at our place. We then refused the food and complained to the restaurant. This is by far the worst service I have ever experienced.
