Eine Frage vom Inhaber. Auf der Mittagskarte steht halber Preis + 3 € pro Person. Wenn eine Person aber zwei Gerichte bestellt, werden 6 € berechnet. Wie lautet die genaue Regelung?

Ich bin ein großer Fan der indischen Küche und hatte das Glück, die authentische indische Küche in Indien selbst zu erleben. Ich habe auch schon viele indische Restaurants besucht. Manche waren besser als andere. Da ich auch schon in Restaurants indischer Kollegen gegessen habe, kenne ich den authentischen Geschmack und die Gewürze der indischen Küche recht gut. Nach all den positiven Bewertungen hier freute ich mich sehr auf das Essen. Leider war es eine riesige Enttäuschung, und ich konnte keine der authentischen Aromen wiedererkennen. Den Gerichten, die wir bestellt hatten, fehlte jegliche Spur der für die indische Küche typischen Gewürze. Natürlich ist Geschmackssache, und es ist schön zu sehen, dass so viele Leute ihr Essen hier genossen haben, aber für mich hatte das nichts mit authentischen indischen Aromen zu tun, oder eigentlich überhaupt nichts mit indischem Essen. Für uns war das eine einmalige Sache, nie wieder.

Ich habe Chicken Tikka Masala gegessen, dazu gab es Reis und ein Stück Naan. Es war sehr lecker und die Bedienung war sehr nett. 👍

Das Essen war leider nur mittelmäßig. Da muss dringend etwas verbessert werden.

Ich habe dieses Restaurant in Magdeburg besucht. Die Speisen waren von ausgezeichneter Qualität und schmeckten hervorragend. Der Service war sehr gut. Auch das Ambiente war angenehm. Insgesamt hat sich der Besuch gelohnt.

Also ich war hier abends um neun allein essen. Das Essen war Ruckzuck fertig, und selbst wenn man allein herkommt, bekommt man alles, was zu der Hauptspeise dazugehört: Vorspeisen, Salat, kleines Fingerfood mit Dip undund zur Hauptspeise hab ich sogar richtig viel Reis und Brot bekommen. Es war sehr lecker und ich bin richtig satt geworden 😄 Aufgrund der Lage am Hasselbachplatz hat man natürlich etwas Verkehrslärm, aber das lässt sich eben nicht vermeiden. Nichts, desto trotz finde ich den Außenbereich sehr gemütlich gestaltet. Ich hatte mit dem Kellner einen sehr netten kurzen Plausch, was ich auch sehr angenehm fand. Ich komme auf alle Fälle wieder :)

Eines der besten indischen Restaurants in dieser Region Deutschlands, dessen Geschmack und Schärfe indischen Standards entsprechen. Palak Kofta und Chili-Käse (Paneer) waren hervorragend. Ich würde ihnen empfehlen, mehr vegetarische Reisgerichte anzubieten.

Ein Wunderbarer Ort, wen man Magdeburg besucht. Sehr zum empfehlen. Man kann im Hotel übernachten, auch Fahrrad hat einen guten Stellplatz. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sehr sauber. War sehr zu frieden

Ich war allein im Maharadscha in Magdeburg und hatte einen rundum sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Schon beim Betreten fühlt man sich willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Das Essen war absolut hervorragend – frisch zubereitet, sehr aromatisch gewürzt und geschmacklich wirklich auf sehr hohem Niveau. Besonders die indischen Spezialitäten sind ein echtes Highlight und zeigen die Qualität der Küche. Auch als Alleinbesucher wurde ich sehr freundlich und aufmerksam bedient, ohne dass es unangenehm oder aufdringlich wirkte. Genau so wünscht man sich Service – herzlich, professionell und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich, authentisch und lädt dazu ein, in Ruhe zu genießen und den Abend entspannt zu verbringen. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung: sehr gutes Essen, hervorragender Service und ein stimmiges Ambiente. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

Ich hatte ein wunderbares Erlebnis im Maharadscha Palace. Das Essen war absolut köstlich, mit authentischen Aromen, hervorragender Qualität und perfekt gewürzt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, und der Service war schnell und professionell. Das Ambiente war sauber, gemütlich und perfekt, um ein Essen mit Familie und Freunden zu genießen. Sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die leckeres indisches Essen und ein tolles kulinarisches Erlebnis suchen!

Das Essen schmeckt gut 👍. Aber es ist etwas teuer. Die Reisportion ist klein. Extra Reis kostet extra. Mitgebrachtes Wasser ist nicht erlaubt 🚫. Insgesamt ist das indische Essen aber in Ordnung.

Hervorragendes Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Tipp: wer es sich zeitlich erlauben kann, geht zum Mittagessen dort hin und bekommt auf jedes Essen einen großzügigen Rabatt.

Erstklassiger Service und hervorragendes Essen im Restaurant. Ich kann die Malai Kofta jederzeit empfehlen. Angenehme Atmosphäre, gute Lage und Ausstattung. Die Inhaberin Narinder und die Managerin Vicky sind sehr freundlich. Sie waren äußerst zuvorkommend und kümmerten sich auch um meine dringenden Anliegen. Das Essen bietet ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis – Sie werden es nicht bereuen.

Wir waren im Hotel nebenan zu Gast und haben am Abend hier gegessen. Sehr nette und freundliche Begrüßung. Da wir keine Erfahrung mit der indischen Küche haben wurden wir nett beraten. In der Speisekarte findet man indische Gerichte und Balkanküche. Das Essen war superlecker und reichlich. Zur "Verdauung" habe ich einen Mangoschnaps getrunken. Auch gut. Preise dem heutigen Stand entsprechend. Mit der Rechnung gab es für uns noch einen Mangoschnaps und einen Mangolikör zum Abschied ohne Berechnung. Tipp: Das Restaurant ist gut besucht. Besser reservieren.

Das Essen war hervorragend. Wir haben das Essen fast zweimal probiert, es war das beste indische Essen, das hier serviert wird.

Das Essen war sehr gut und lecker , die Bedienung Jyofi hieß sie glaub ich, war sehr nett und zuvorkommend und ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen . Das Preisleistungs Verhältnis war in Ordnung. Das Essen wurde trotz das es voll war relativ schnell gebracht. Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen. Parkplätze sind Samstag Abend allerdings nur schwer zu bekommen.

Ich habe dieses Restaurant besucht und das Essen hat alle positiven Bewertungen, die ich gelesen hatte, absolut bestätigt! Die Aromen sind authentisch und die Portionen großzügig. Die Qualität der Speisen ist erstklassig und der Service fantastisch – sowohl die Bedienung als auch die Dame an der Theke waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich kann dieses Restaurant jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der Lust auf authentische indische Küche hat. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Mein Partner und ich besuchten dieses Restaurant auf der Suche nach authentischer indischer Küche und es war einfach köstlich. Wir bestellten Paneer Butter Tikka Masala, Malai Kofta, Knoblauch-Naan und Mango-Lassi. Alles war fantastisch, besonders die Malai Kofta kann ich wärmstens empfehlen – sie waren reichhaltig, cremig und unglaublich aromatisch. Die Restaurantleiterin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten insgesamt einen wunderschönen Abend und kommen gerne wieder.

Das vegetarische Essen war wirklich köstlich, obwohl wir kurz vor Ladenschluss dort waren.

I can highly recommend the Indian restaurant. Very pleasant atmosphere, very friendly service, and delicious food at a good price.

If germs had a party venue, this would be it. The staff were tasting food with their fingers, without gloves, without any respect – pure unhygienic horror! It was a bad decision for me to visit this place.

If you enjoy watching unhygienic food being served at your table, this place is a masterpiece of chaos. Hygiene has clearly taken a premature exit here – only visit this restaurant if you enjoy a meal with a germ-ridden side dish.

Very friendly staff, the food is absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. Thank you so much for your service and a big compliment to your chef. See you next time!

We had a wonderful birthday party there, with delicious food. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

The restaurant is having critical reviews removed from Google. I was a guest at the restaurant on October 8, 2025.

We went there for dinner and were disappointed with the value for money. - We had the mixed appetizer platter, but it didn't seem freshly prepared. The presentation wasn't appealing, and unfortunately, it wasn't tasty. There weren't enough dips for two people. - The garlic naan bread was too salty and had too much garlic baked into it. - We had vegetarian and meat dishes. Unfortunately, it wasn't tasty – bland, lacking salt. - The value for money here isn't right at all, in my opinion. - The tablecloths weren't clean, which was unfortunately unappealing. - Some of the plates weren't clean either. - The service seemed disorganized.

We ate there with our family yesterday. The price/performance ratio was excellent. The food was excellent and plentiful. The Maharaja Palace is highly recommended. We'd be happy to come back. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We went there for dinner and had an amazing experience. The thing about India is hospitality, and that is what we received here. The woman there in charge was the sweetest person I have met in Magdeburg. Great food, a hotel-like sitting arrangement like we get in India and the food felt like home.

This was my 2nd visit here and the food didn’t disappoint again, I tried vegetarian food this time and It was absolutely amazing. We had Paneer Pakora, Dal Makhani and Paneer Sabji. The Gravy was very tangy and Dal Makhani was of perfect spice. The quantity is also more than adequate you get not only rice but also a Naan with the order. I was only able to eat it all because how tasty actually the food was. Simply my favourite Indian Restaurant in Magdeburg.

I went to the restaurant today and had something to eat there. The welcome was very warm; you immediately feel at home. The food was truly delicious, and the bread was simply delicious. I'll definitely be back!

I highly recommend sitting inside. The food was excellent and the service was unobtrusive and pleasantly friendly. Please visit this restaurant once and form your own opinion, but in my opinion, it's a top restaurant for a pleasant and enjoyable evening. Both the main course I had were very good if you like to try several different options.

The food is good, but the service is poor. The service outside isn't great; you're left high and dry. After sitting for a long time, you have to go inside and pay the bill. 👎🏻 It's a shame.

A truly lovely Indian restaurant. My wife and I went there for dinner yesterday, and we each ordered a main course and a drink. The portions were generous, as you can see in the pictures. We also got delicious naan bread and a salad as a starter, which is obviously part of the main course! The ambiance is also beautiful, and the individual seating is arranged in such a way that you have plenty of privacy, which is very important to us. All in all, a fantastic restaurant; I can recommend it without hesitation.

This review really hurts me. We've been loyal customers of the Maharajah since it opened. We were on Halberstädter Straße and "moved" to Klausener Straße. What we've noticed the last few times (before the water damage) is that nothing works in the restaurant when the older woman (boss?) isn't there. With her, everything is perfect. She's super sweet and dedicated. Without her, the young waiters seem unmotivated, misunderstand orders, or forget them. The food was still consistently delicious and of high quality. Only the mango lassi became increasingly expensive, smaller, and waterier. Yesterday we were at the new location. What immediately strikes you if you have mobility issues are the steps. A deal breaker for my mom and me. We were shown to our table and served quickly. Our waitress was very friendly, but she couldn't answer questions about the menu/food/drinks. In the old restaurant, it was pleasant that the music played quietly in the background. Yesterday it was so loud that quiet conversation was almost impossible. I order the 88 (cauliflower) 90% of the time. We skipped the beloved mango lassi; €5.50 for 0.25l is outrageous. Last week, in the middle of Berlin, the most expensive one was €4.50, and that was 0.45l. When my Alu Gobi arrived, I was surprised by the color. More gray. It tasted okay, but not like usual. Everything was swimming in oil. Even my mom's, who had spinach with cheese balls, had it. The receipt came promptly. Since yesterday, we've been suffering from stomach aches and frequent trips to the bathroom. We've never had that in all these years. Then the bill came, which surprised us: €7 for a 0.4l apple juice spritzer. When we asked, we were told that was the way it was. €3.50 for 0.2l apple juice and €3.50 for 0.2l water. The lunch prices aren't as good anymore either. Every main course is 50% off, plus €3. Because of this, and the consequences of the food, the restaurant is now unfortunately dead for us. It's a real shame. We really enjoyed going there.

I recently dined at Maharadscha Palace in Magdeburg and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff provided attentive service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking genuine Indian cuisine in the area.​

This is the only Indian restaurant in Magdeburg which serves food that actually matches an Indian spice palate. The owner/ host there (forgot to ask her name) was so sweet and welcoming omg! We ordered non veg thali and asked to make it spicy like we do whenever we go to any Indian restaurants in Germany, but this is the only restaurant which actually made the food as spicy as expected! Last but not the least, we ordered a black and white ice cream which came with a firecracker sort of a thing which was like a cherry on the top, and caught everyone’s eye. Sweet gesture! 100 percent recommended 💯

Authentic Indian food, nice ambience and a very friendly service.

I requested catering for multiple events. The owners were very nice and prepared authentic Indian food for my guests each time.

We immediately felt at home in the restaurant. The ambience is great, the service is very friendly and attentive and the food is delicious. There was a notice on the door of the restaurant stating that the food was not heavily seasoned. In my opinion, the typical slight sharpness was missing. But that is purely a matter of taste and perception. I'll definitely be back!

The food was really tasty – the dishes tasted great and were freshly prepared. Unfortunately, the positive impression was marred by the very disorganized service and the inadequate side dishes. Rice and bread, which were supposed to be accompaniments to the main course (some of them had different dishes, but rice and bread were always part of the dishes), were served in small quantities for the entire table - just a piece of bread per person and a bit of rice. When we then asked for a second helping, we had to ask a total of four times because different waiters were always in charge and there was obviously no communication between them. The wait for the food was also way too long, which made the whole experience even worse. It's a shame that the service detracted so much from the good impression of the food. Conclusion: The food was excellent, but the service and organization leave a lot to be desired. I hope this improves because then it could be a really great experience.

We ate naan, butter chicken, chicken pakoda, and chicken tikka. Everything was delicious! The restaurant had a great atmosphere, like being in India. The service was friendly and we even got a free mango vodka! We've tried other Indian restaurants, but this one was the best. Highly recommended!

The food here is fantastic, and the Aunty who runs the place is incredibly friendly. She customizes dishes to your taste, making each meal feel authentic. Best Indian spot in Magdeburg!

We haven't eaten at Maharaja since moving to the new restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. A little smaller than before but still comfortably furnished with a typical Indian flair. We had pre-booked a table for 5 people and spontaneously brought one more person with us, that wasn't a problem. We tasted the different dishes among ourselves and they were all very tasty. Only in my coconut-pineapple chicken the meat was a little too firm for my taste and it was seasoned too lightly. The mango lassi was very good. We'd love to come back.

Extremely unfriendly! We reserved a table as requested and said in the comment that we were bringing a dog. Received several emails from the owner to confirm. When we arrived we were refused entry at the door with the statement that dogs were not allowed and that we could sit outside! Side note: No one sat outside because it was cold and uncomfortable. Went straight back! If I could give zero points, I would!
