Mahalo Burger, Bowls & Hot Stone Steaks in Paderborn

You can do it. But you can also let it be. Quite expensive and the food is 100 times better elsewhere. Aside from the fact that they didn't have half of them, 2 out of 3 of our orders were incorrect. The fries were definitely neither homemade nor cooked through. And tofu and mango also tasted mustier than they should. The burgers were probably okay. Well, including your own tip worked out quite well. A bit cheeky.

The two of us were in the restaurant on a Tuesday around 6:00 p.m. The reason for the visit was the hot dogs, after we ordered them, the waitress came back after about 3 minutes and told us that there were no hot dogs, then we ordered steak, which wasn't available either. The only dishes there were were the burgers. We also ordered homemade iced tea (peach), which tasted more like lemon than peach. We didn't eat anything because the first two requests from the menu weren't available in the kitchen. The ambience promises a lot and is very nice, but the rest cannot keep up. There will definitely not be a second visit there.

Where do you start, when ordering drinks, they didn't have any beer, peach ice tea and passion fruit lemonade ended up being lemon water 😩 Ordered hot dogs, unfortunately not there either, steak - not there either. Well we left without eating.

Big disappointment! We ordered a bowl. There were hardly any ingredients available from the menu. After telling us in advance that we were in a hurry, it took a long time for the food to arrive. It was reported several times that other ingredients were missing. The food was way too spicy (even though we asked beforehand) and the ratio of rice and fresh ingredients wasn't right either! We basically had to leave the entire bowl! That was definitely our last visit there. Service way too slow!

At the beginning we sat there on the right for a long time without drinks, only after being asked to have any. When ordering drinks it was said that beer and some things for cocktails were not there. After we ordered food, the waitress came and said “You’re out of luck today, the dip is out”. 5 minutes later he came and said the bacon was out. This has nothing to do with “luck”. It's just a shame not to communicate what's available right from the start. If we had known that, we would have gone somewhere else. When the food came, only 3 of 4 burgers were brought and the 4th came much later and was no longer warm. Even during and after the meal we were no longer asked if we would like to drink anything else. And the place wasn't full at all with three tables occupied, so the whole spectacle was totally unjustified. Good service looks different. And there are much better burger shops in PB I imagined my birthday dinner with the family to be much nicer 👍🏼

We went in with more expectations. Bowls hardly have a selection of toppings in contrast to other bowl shops in Paderborn. The pomegranate seeds that you pay extra for are thawed frozen goods, so you'd expect something else - they're also absolutely unsuitable, especially since they look totally unaesthetic. Fresh ingredients would have been great. The burger was ok but not particularly good, what was ordered and what came were also mixed up.

It's probably the best burger I've ever eaten. A clear recommendation from me for this shop, which is obviously just trying to establish itself and still seems a bit like an insider tip. So the atmosphere is pretty relaxed right now. There are numerous employees who appear motivated. They seem to believe in the store, and rightly so! We all enjoyed the drinks too. We mainly drank the sodas. Gladly again!

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. I was there with my companion to eat hot stone steak. The service was very quick at first, then after about 20 minutes I was informed that the steak I had chosen was unfortunately sold out and I had to change my mind again. Then it took a very long time for our food to arrive because there were probably a lot of out-of-home orders. After serving, we didn't receive any instructions on how best to fry/cook the steak. There was only 1 other table occupied apart from us. The meat and fries tasted good. If you have the time, you can definitely experience something new here.

Worst burgers I've ever had. Pattie from the freezer, completely tasteless. Of course things look different in the restaurant, but the cheese bomb was ready with nacho dip and you had to look for a salad that wasn't fresh either, a shame because we were the only ones there. After half of the burger I had to throw up in the toilet on site, and then three more times during the evening. Never never never again. Not recommendable.

My husband and I have already ordered from Mahalo twice on Lieferando and therefore decided to eat in the restaurant ourselves. The service was friendly and quick. The food was really tasty - we ordered the Magic Mashroom and the Midos Special Burger in the menu. Gladly again!

I would like to describe the impressions of our visit to the restaurant. Let's start with the positive aspects. The restaurant is nicely decorated, everything in Hawaiian style. Something different. Ok, unfortunately that's it. Unfortunately the rest was a disaster. We were the ONLY guests in the restaurant, there was a smaller group sitting outside. Nevertheless, the service was completely overwhelmed, forgot the drinks, the bill, etc. I'm sorry to have to write it like that, but the lady was nice nonetheless. But what doesn't work at all: the absolute lack of professional competence!! The menu says so beautifully: “ask our knowledgeable staff.” This “expert staff” doesn’t even know different cuts. I ordered a rib eye but received a subpar rump steak. When asked about it, the waitress said completely clueless, but at least honestly: I don't know what that is, that's what we get. By the way, another waitress, a young girl, was sitting in the entrance area with a delivered pizza with her boyfriend. Restaurant etiquette: 6! Conclusion: absolutely avoid! This is a funky concept restaurant, colorfully decorated for a 20-25 year old audience. That will probably be the target group. The operator himself is in Bad Oeynhausen, as I found out. There's probably another branch there too. As a tip: it's better to be there in Pb. Better training for employees would be very desirable. I don't want to say anything bad here, but if adults want to eat a decent piece of meat, they should go to Argentina, PS, Gaucho, El Rancho or La Pampa. Sorry :/

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and I particularly liked the design of the menu. We had dinner on Saturday evening at 10:30 p.m., at that time you don't have much choice as many shops close their kitchens at 10 p.m. This - along with the curly fries on the menu - was the main reason for our visit. It was empty at that time and everything went really quickly (showing the menu, taking the order, drinks and also the food). There were still empty drinks and glasses on a neighboring table, which could have been cleared away as there wasn't much going on. The fries (curly fries or chili cheese fries) were really tasty and the burgers are good. Unfortunately, the tomato ketchup on the burger and with the fries tasted very unusual, which unfortunately had a negative impact on the taste of the food. Normally the brand/type of ketchup doesn't matter, but this tomato ketchup should definitely be swapped out. The price was good in the menu, but individually it would have been a bit too expensive.

Unfortunately the food was prepared without love. The meat from the burger was very unseasoned and tough, the bread was very dry. Without the sauce it wouldn't be edible. The steak had more fatty edges than meat. Overall it was unfortunately a flop for the price. The store is more of an illusion than its 👎🏼

First of all, there's really nothing wrong with the food. It was served hot and tasted really good. However, the staff leaves a lot to be desired. We sat at a dirty table that wasn't cleaned, the burger that was supposed to be prepared without tomatoes still had some on it and the waitress hardly showed up. When we were finished eating, there were only two of us in the restaurant until a group sat down in front of us, they received the menu and that was it. We would have liked to order something else but after waiting 20 minutes we decided to leave. The table in front of us also left without ordering because unfortunately they weren't served. Unfortunately we probably won't be back because of the staff. Which is a real shame because we really enjoyed the food.

Well I have to say I have never eaten such delicious burgers as I did here. I always drive from Bielefeld to Paderborn to eat burgers here because it's simply a delicious experience. And for this price you really can't complain. Aside from that, the employees are also very, very nice. You can see the love for this store. You definitely have to try it

I was here for the first time with my girlfriend yesterday and we were very satisfied. The ambience is beautiful and cozy. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food. The citizens were very tasty and the fries were amazing. By the way, I haven't sat so comfortably on a chair in a restaurant for a long time. Definitely recommendable. I will come back.

A few months ago I visited the Mahalo with a friend and unfortunately I cannot agree with the extremely positive reviews. Our service was fresh, but made an effort and was friendly. That's it. We were there on a Tuesday evening and a couple were the only guests in the shop. We had to wait well over 20 minutes for the drinks alone - over 45 minutes for the food... My bowl (vegan) was unfortunately more than basic and the price-performance ratio was absolutely incomprehensible... 15€ for a portion of cold rice, simply chopped vegetables, frozen falafel and a READY-BUYED chili majo, which unfortunately the service didn't even care about was sure whether this was vegan... I would also like to add that the bowl on the menu, which is labeled vegan, unfortunately comes with a sauce that is NOT vegan - unfortunately that makes absolutely no sense to me. In Paderborn there are far better, tastier and cheaper alternatives for delicious bowls and/or burgers ;)

Super cool business. The staff is super nice (preferably 7 stars) and the burgers taste great. The fries are extremely good. I'm really fascinated by the store. I'm going again this week 🤟. Recommended for real burger lovers.

I had steak at Mahalo last night. The worker offered me steak with fried vegetables, which isn't on the menu at all and I have to say it was the tastiest steak I've ever eaten and the homemade dips were very delicious. Respect to the Mahalo team👍🏻

We ordered 2 burger menus and what can I say. The disappointment couldn't be greater. For 12.50 a burger that only had 3 ridiculous pickles, lots of mustard and a dry meat patty on it is more than cheeky. Not even lettuce on the burger, the fries were soggy and the sour cream wasn't sour cream. In addition, the food was already cold when it arrived. I also ordered a milkshake that tasted sour and was inedible. Normally I would have to ask for my money back. We definitely won't order there again.

Burger was really good in taste, but all our burgers were cold. Some of the fries too. We all felt very fresh in the restaurant. The waitresses were all very young and seemed unsure. We were rarely asked for drinks or anything like that.

We ate at Mahalo a few days ago and were extremely satisfied from start to finish. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by an employee and immediately felt at home. The service was great! We barely had to wait 5 minutes for our drinks and the food came quickly. We were very pleasantly surprised by the taste. From the burger to the bowl, everything was really tasty and warmly prepared. The ambience doesn't fit together for me, it's supposed to convey a Hawaii feeling but the same rap (?) music kept playing in the background. The restaurant is completely empty but the tables are still not clean. Instead of wiping the dirty table when you have a guest, the card is brought and the table is left dirty. Only when I got up and asked was the table cleaned. Then you order a wheat beer in a restaurant where you are the only guest and get it in a beer tulip with the excuse that you are currently out of wheat glasses. I won't come back.

This was my second time eating at Mahalo this week. Even though there was initially no space available (Saturdays), we were lucky that someone had just paid. The burger was really tasty and not exactly small. I would have expected a little more for the extra charge for the curly fries (maybe just omit the extra charge). On the second visit (Wednesday) it was relatively empty. After initial skepticism as to whether a bowl would actually fill me up, I still decided on the large bowl. At first the price seemed very high to me, but I have to admit that after 3/4 of a bowl I was already very full. Next time I'll try the small portion first. The service was brand new on Saturday, but still very friendly. Just great on Wednesday. Thank you very much for leaving it open for so long especially for us. It was great and I'll definitely be back!

Food was stable, as many others have already written here. Still wouldn't come back because the service was unfortunately really subpar. We waited ages for everything: until we got tickets, until we could place the order, until we got the drinks, until we could pay. Vegan patties were out, Detmolder was the only beer available. By the way, we noticed other tables having incorrect orders or orders being delivered to the wrong tables. Tables that were already empty were not cleared for a long time. You could only pay with EC or cash, not with Visa (and therefore not with your cell phone). Who will open a new restaurant in 2023 where this is not possible?! The menu has tons of pixelated jpegs and therefore looks a lot like the pizza joint around the corner. So. Good luck with the store folks, but if you don't get your staff on their toes, a lot of people will only come once...

Wir waren mit vier Personen dort Essen. Leider war unser besuch von Anfang bis Ende ein einziger Reinfall. Das Lokal war zu gut 50% gefüllt und das Personal damit schon zu 120% ausgelastet. Auf den ersten Blick macht das Lokal einen guten Eindruck. Dieser wurde allerdings das erste mal mit den Speisekarten getrübt. Zu viert haben wir drei Stück bekommen und alle waren anders. Ok kann passieren, sollte es aber nicht. Nach dem bestellen der Getränke, was eine Ewigkeit gedauert hat kam ein wechselbad der Reinfälle für das Lokal. Wir haben vier selbst zusammengestellte Bowls und eine Portion Pommes für alle bestellt. Zu dem Zeitpunkt sagten wir schon, dass es in die Hose geht. Und wie soll es anders sein, keine aber auch keine Bowl kam so wie bestellt an. Ich habe eine große bestellt, bekommen habe ich eine kleine und ohne Rote Bete. Auf mein bemängeln hin hat die Bedienung meinem Teller pampig mit genommen und kam eine nach langem warten wieder. Die kleine Bowl, welcher muss ich sagen gut angerichtet war wurde einfach lieblos in eine große Schüssel gekippt 200% Reis drauf und mir Rotzfrech und absolut pampig auf den Tisch geknallt. Und selbst jetzt war die Bowl noch nicht so wie ich diese bestellt hatte. Die Rote Bete war immer noch nicht drauf. Das einzige was richtig war waren die Pommes. Und wurde dann ein Rabatt beim Bezahlen versprochen, welcher natürlich auch nicht berechnet wurde. Eine einzige katastrophe dieser Laden. An unserem Nebentisch lief es auch nicht besser. Dort wurden Burger bestellt, welche an den falschen Tisch geliefert wurden. Dort von den Gästen bereits angefasst und reklamiert wurden. Die Bedienung wollte diese bereits angefassten Burger dann an den richtigen Tisch liefern. Verständlicher weise wollten die, die bereits angefassten Burger nicht entgegen nehmen. Kurze Zeit später kamen dann neue Burger. Aber irgendwie lässt mich das Gefühl nicht los, dass die „alten“ Burger einfach nochmal den weg über durch die Küche zu dem Tisch genommen haben. Nicht falsch verstehen, jeder kann mal einen schlechten Tag haben aber diese art und das anhäufen an Fehlern geht garnicht.

Das war der schlechteste Service den ich in meinem ganzen Leben erlebt habe. Wenn man auf die Getränke 40 min und auf das Essen über eine Stunde warten möchte, dann ist es der richtige Laden.

Das Essen war eigentlich echt lecker, aber da man 15 min auf die Karte, 40 Minuten auf unsere Getränke und eine Stunde auf das Essen warten musste, kann ich es echt nicht empfehlen. Der Service war wirklich der schlechteste den ich je miterlebt habe. Allein dass sich 2 weitere Tische neben uns auch lautstark beschwert haben…

Wir waren mit 6 Personen essen. Die Burger und das Steak auf dem heißen Stein waren geschmacklich super, auch wenn von der Portionsgröße etwas klein. Mit dem Service waren wir dagegen nicht zufrieden. Die Tische wurden zwischendurch nicht abgeräumt (ein Kellner geht nie leer). Die Wartezeit für Getränke und insbesondere dem Milchshake am Schluss war viel zu lange. Es wirkte sehr unprofessionell. Als Gastrom weiß ich, wie schwer es ist gutes Personal zu bekommen. Dennoch müsste das Personal besser geschult werden, bevor es an den Gast geht.

Wir haben als Gruppe Abendessen über Lieferando bestellt. Das Essen kam nach einer Dreiviertelstunde, ein Teil der Gesamtbestellung wurde vergessen, sodass eine Person uns hungrig beim Essen zuschauen durfte. Ich hatte mir einen Cheesebomb Burger mit Veggi-Patty bestellt, leider kam er aber mit Rindfleisch. Daraufhin habe ich im Laden angerufen. Dort wurde mir versichert, es sei definitiv veggi, aber das war es auf jeden Fall nicht!!! Die vergessene Bowl kam 40minuten später. Als Entschädigung gab es eine Creme brûlée. Preis-Leistung(/Geschmack): absolut überteuert für geschmacklich enttäuschendes Essen

Leider war unser Besuch ein absoluter Reinfall. Beim Essen gab es anstatt Veggie-Patty ein normales Fleisch-Patty und die bestellte Bowl kam erst nach Nachfrage zehn Minuten nach den anderen Speisen (toll als Gruppe). Das bestellte Hähnchen waren drei einzelne Streifen Fertig-„Crispy Chicken“. Der Service kam auch nach mehrmaligem Ansprechen nicht mehr zu unserem Tisch zurück. Zudem wurde uns erst an der Kasse gesagt, dass heute nur Barzahlung möglich sei. Alles in Allem für die Leistung viel zu teuer!

Bei drei von vier Essen war etwas falsch, zB Zwiebeln auf dem Burger obwohl ausdrücklich ohne bestellt wurde. Dann die Biere von der Karte nicht vorhanden, in zwei Stunden kam die Bedienung nur einmal zur Aufnahme der Bestellung, dann nie wieder. Das ist kein guter Service. Bei der Abrechnung wurde noch mehr kalkuliert als es bestellt war.. Sorry, aber das Gesamtbild war nicht gut - leider.

Das Essen war mega hatten ein Steak und ein Burger. Das Steak war ein Traum, schon alleine das man es selber auf einem vulkanstein braten darf. Total unorganisiert und falsche Bestellung ausgeliefert! ich habe bei dem Restaurant angerufen, um essen zu bestellen. Der Mann am Telefon schien nicht viel Ahnung von seinem Job zu haben. Einige Zutaten wie beispielsweise Sushireis oder Bacon waren nicht mehr zu bestellen. Trotz mehreren Nachfragens des Mannes am Telefon wurde die Bestellung nicht korrekt ausgeliefert. zwei bowls, die mit Salat bestellt wurden, wurden mit Vollkornes geliefert. des Weiteren wurde in eine der Bowls Tunfisch getan, obwohl Lachs bestellt wurde. des Weiteren wurde eine falsche Soße und ein falsches Getränk geliefert. Zu guter letzt hatte der Lieferant es Restaurants nicht genug Kleingeld dabei, was dazu führte, dass ich mehr Geld bezahlen musste, als ich wollte. Ich werde dort kein Essen mehr bestellen. Die Bestellungen wurden nicht so geliefert wie bestellt und zusätzlich haben sie auch nicht besonders gut geschmeckt. Dieses Restaurant kann ich NICHT empfehlen!!

Der Laden wurde echt Schick eingerichtet. Das Essen war bei beiden Besuchen Super Lecker. Beim Service ist noch Potential nach oben,aber jeder sollte wissen das es schwer ist zurzeit genug Personal zu bekommen,die Service Kräfte die da waren haben einen guten Job gemacht.(unterbesetzt)

Vegetarischer Tiefkühlpatty beim Braten angebrannt, innen aber noch kalt. Sorry, das kriege ich Zuhause besser hin. Generell für die Qualität viel zu hochpreisig (Burger, Pommes, Getränk für 2 Personen knapp 50€).

Ich habe dem Mahalo in Paderborn zum zweiten Mal die Chance gegeben und ich wurde wieder enttäuscht. Die Bedienung kannte die Karte nicht. Keines der Biere auf der Karte war vorrätig. Beim Burger und bei den Bowls waren teilweise mehr und teilweise weniger Zutaten als gewünscht dabei. Es wurde nicht einmal gefragt ob alles ok sei und wir ggf. noch etwas trinken oder essen wollen. Für mich ein total seltsamer Laden. Wenn man neu in der Stadt ist und eigentlich grundsolide, gefragte Produkte anbietet sollte man dafür brennen. Ich weiß, dass es ist in der Gastro schwer ist gute Leute zu finden, aber einfach jemanden hinzustellen , damit jemand da ist , ist meiner Meinung nicht die Lösung. Leider gab es wieder von den Getränken, über das Essen bis hin zur Bedienung negative Erfahrungen.

Dieses Restaurant hat mich mit seinem exquisiten Geschmackserlebnis begeistert. Der Chicken Burger war saftig und voller Aromen, die Pommes knusprig und perfekt gewürzt. Die Nuggets waren ein echter Höhepunkt, zart und köstlich. Das freundliche Personal und die gemütliche Atmosphäre rundeten das kulinarische Erlebnis ab. Ein Ort, an dem man sich für leckeres Essen und eine angenehme Zeit entscheiden kann!

Das Ambiente ist schön, das Essen ok, der Service war (heute) allerdings unterirdisch. Das Personal war überfordert, kennt die eigene Karte nicht und brachte am laufenden Band falsches Essen zu den Tischen. Amüsiert haben wir uns dennoch. Das Personal muss allerdings besser geschult und von erfahrenen KollegInnen eingearbeitet werden. Alle blieben dennoch höflich und bemüht.

Empfehlenswerter neuer Laden in PB. Von außen etwas unscheinbar. Chilli Cheese mit Angusbeef war sehr gut. Selten so guten Service gehabt, da passte alles. Keine Visa Kartenzahlung möglich.

Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und das Ambiente sehr schön. Leider hat es sehr lange gedauert bis das Essen kam und die Bedienung war etwas unorganisiert. Trotzdem hat mir das Essen sehr gut geschmeckt und ich werde dort nochmal zum Essen hinfahren

Wenn es mehr Sterne zu vergeben gebe würde ich sie geben. Dass essen ein Traum, tolles Ambiente und dass gesamte Mahalo Team super freundlich. Kann ich wirklich nur jedem weiter empfehlen. 👍👍👍👍👍

Außergewöhnlich. Erfüllt einen elitären Standard, an dem man alle anderen Restaurants misst. Das Personal ist immer hilfsbereit, die Räumlichkeiten sind extrem sauber, die Atmosphäre ist reizend und das Essen ist sowohl köstlich als auch schön präsentiert.

Wir sind heute spontan eingekehrt und sind positiv überzeugt worden. Ein schönes, modernes Ambiente, einladend eingerichtet mit urbanem Flair. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und proaktiv, so wünscht man sich das! Wir hatten einen MidosSpecial und den Guacahola mit hausgemachter Maracuja Limonade, alles geschmacklich top! Das Getränk hätte eventuell gekühlter sein können aber hey, dafür dass es den Laden erst drei Wochen gibt, war das okay. Wenn es jetzt noch den Burger Medium geben würde… kämen wir jede Woche! Dankeschön und bis bald!

Sehr gutes Essen in diesem Weltklasse Ambiente genießen zu können ist einfach unschlagbar. Der Service war toll und das Essen einfach fantastisch! Wir kommen gerne wieder wenn wir wieder in Paderborn sind.

Doch wir werden wieder kommen. Besonders ist vor allem das sehr freundliche und fürsorgliche Personal. Burger sehr gut. Steaks auf dem Hot Stone ebenfalls und zudem ein Erlebnis.

Ich war mit Freunden und Familie bei Mahalo essen und finde es sehr schön und sehr lecker. Ich empfehle euch auch den cheese Burger und die Chilli cheese Pommes.

Heute war der erste offizielle Tag vom Mahalo und ich habe davon über die Presse erfahren. Wir hatten eine Bowl, die uns leider nicht überzeugt hat. Der Anteil vom Reis lag bei etwa 80%, der Rest war Gemüse bzw. Topping. Wir haben dem Betreiber ehrliches Feedback gegeben, worauf uns erklärt wurde, dass das Verhältnis eigentlich 40% Reis und 60% Topping sein sollte. Der Preis von 16€ pro Bowl ist ebenfalls sehr sportlich. Fire Zubereitung findet in einer offenen Küche statt. Hier muss ich leider anmerken, dass das Gemüse offensichtlich nicht gewaschen wurde, denn es wurde direkt aus der geschlossenen Verpackung verarbeitet und in die Auslage gelegt. Ich drücke dem Betreiber die Daumen, dass das Konzept von anderen Kunden besser aufgenommen wird.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen 🥰 Die Burger waren sehr lecker und der Service sehr sehr nett! Man hat sich wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt - wir kommen auf jeden Fall öfter! Sowas hat Paderborn definitiv gebraucht 🫶🏻

Geheimtipp !!!! Wir wurden heute Abend ins Mahalo zum Essen eingeladen. Die Location ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und lädt zum gemütlichen Essen mit Freunden ein. Die Crew ist super lieb und kümmert sich perfekt um einen. Wir haben uns für Burger mit Fries und Bowls entschieden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen haben auch eine gute Größe. Als Getränk gab's für uns Granatapfelschorle welche mit Minze und limette verfeinert wurde. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend. Wir haben uns schon für einen erneuten Termin zum Essen im Mahalo mit unseren Freunden verabredet.
