Mahalo Burger, Bowls & Hot Stone Steak in Bad Oeynhausen

The door to a tent was opened, so we had to sit in our coats while eating. We sat on high stools, which I didn't find particularly comfortable or cozy. The food took over an hour to arrive. I don't need to go there again. 👎

Food was excellent, drinks were excellent, and service was excellent; we felt very comfortable and highly recommend it.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. The cocktails were delicious. They also offer vegan options. My only complaint is that my bowl had so much sauce that it tasted like nothing else. I found that disappointing, but otherwise everything was very good.

We ordered two bowls. There was far too much sauce on them, so the ingredients were swimming in it. There was very little salmon and avocado, even though we ordered those separately. The ingredients all tasted fresh. The service was good.

You call them and they tell you don't need a reservation, you drive there, taking a huge detour, and they tell you there's no room for two. I've never seen such rudeness in my life.

You feel very comfortable there, the food is always fresh, and everyone in the service smiles and is friendly. I would recommend everyone to have been there at least once. The best restaurant where I have eaten burgers.

The wait was endless, and the food was only mediocre. The service was very attentive and friendly, but that didn't help when everything else was lacking.

There were two of us, and the waiter apparently didn't understand which dish I ordered. After consulting with his colleagues, he wrote down the more expensive dish instead of checking with us again. When we brought this up, they spoke to the manager, who then suddenly wasn't there. When we asked for something in writing again, one waiter said the manager wasn't there. The other waitress didn't believe him and looked incredulous, but then played along and said the manager wasn't there. I received no apology or compensation for having to pay for a significantly more expensive dish that I hadn't even ordered, which my companion was able to enjoy. Lacking expertise in steak, I wasn't able to realize the waiter's mistake when it was served. It's outrageous to simply serve more expensive dishes after consulting with staff, just because you're unsure which one was ordered, instead of going back and asking again.

Hello, this isn't meant to be a bad review, more a criticism for improvement. I ordered a bowl; the portion was a good size, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't good. In this bowl, I had mango, avocado, shrimp, salmon, and a few other things like cucumber, chickpeas, or tomatoes that simply weren't there. The ratio of shrimp to the rest was low, only five, and the salmon tasted like fish. My mango pieces were also so small that you could hardly recognize them. There was also not much avocado, but a lot of rice and chickpeas. I paid €38 for that, which I think was too much. The cashews in the bowl were good, though. As I said, I don't mean any offense, but if it stays like this, I personally wouldn't eat there again. My high-end cocktail turned out to be the most expensive lemonade I've ever ordered (€9).

Tasty food and great hospitality

This is the second time we've eaten here while traveling. The dishes, as well as the homemade drinks, are lovingly prepared and taste excellent! The hosts are very personable and friendly! We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Mahalo! There were four of us there. The ambiance is very appealing, with comfortable chairs inside. There's pallet furniture outside, which fits the style perfectly. The menu should offer something for everyone. We all opted for the bowls. And what can I say? Perfect! The portion sizes are quite large. If you're not too hungry, you should opt for the smaller portion. I've attached my order slip for the bowl. Damn awesome. We had homemade lemonades and a smoothie to drink. It was also delicious. The service was very courteous and quite quick. The parking situation, like everywhere else in Bad Oeynhausen, is rather critical.

Fast and friendly service at the restaurant. The food selection is also very extensive. I ordered a chili cheeseburger, and the ingredients were perfectly prepared and fresh. I also got a spicy sauce upon request. A truly huge recommendation.

The salmon was excellent, and the burger with the "chili cheese fire pot" was an experience. The flavors were spot-on and the service was exciting. The service was relaxed, witty, and their manner created a good atmosphere. The wait was also pleasantly short. To finish off, we enjoyed coconut ice cream served in a coconut shell and a volcano cake. Both were visually eye-catching and tasted fantastic. A restaurant that I highly recommend.

The food was tasty. But unfortunately, it was cold and far too little for the price.

Unfortunately, a few things went wrong during our visit to Mahalo. The staff (except presumably the manager) seemed uncoordinated and overwhelmed. The water we ordered first arrived in a dirty glass. Then there were small creatures in the lid of the water bottle. Even though the burgers tasted okay, we couldn't eat with any appetite. They tried very hard to salvage the food. However, for us, it was already borderline disappointing.

As soon as we walked in at Mahalo in Bad Oeynhausen, we had this special feeling: a sense of well-being from the very first second. The team not only greets you warmly, but as if you were coming home – with a genuine, warm smile. Here, you're not a guest; you're part of the Mahalo family. Then the food came – and we were simply blown away. We haven't eaten this well in a long time! The grill was a firework of flavors, the burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, the Solero cocktails tasted of summer, sunshine, and pure happiness, and the homemade lemonade was simply heavenly. Every bite, every sip was prepared with so much love and passion that you could really taste it. It was one of those evenings where you can tell that the food is cooked and served with heart. The service? Phenomenal! Attentive, relaxed, and warm – just what you'd want. We felt so welcome and appreciated that by the end, we felt like we were almost part of the team. It's rare to find such an incredibly great and dynamic team these days. It was truly enjoyable watching this crew. Our verdict: 100 out of 5 stars – and if we could, we'd give it even more. Mahalo isn't a restaurant, but an experience that stays in your mind and heart. Anyone who has eaten here understands what true hospitality means. There are places where you simply get your fill – and there are places like Mahalo, where you go home full, happy, in the best of spirits, and with a huge smile. We say Mahalo from the bottom of our hearts with a big hug for this unforgettable evening and are already looking forward to seeing you again soon! ♥️

Very tasty – especially the bowls. You can choose your own ingredients from a pre-selected list. Service was very attentive, despite the occasional stressful moment. I highly recommend this place – we would come more often if we didn't live in the Düsseldorf area.

Inquiries regarding catering have not been responded to. Unfortunately, we received no response, not even a rejection. So, another company will now take over the catering. It's a shame, because the food here has always been delicious.

Highly recommended. Cool music. Very nice outside when the weather is nice. Friendly service. I only had a shandy, so only 3 stars for the food. It would be nice if Google simply had a "no possible rating" for this place. I think if I don't give it a star, it will bring the rating down completely.

I have rarely eaten burgers as good as here. Every bite was a delight. The service was also excellent. But also friendly, attentive and quick. The ambience of the restaurant was very inviting and cozy. I can only recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back. The food is good for the price. The staff is friendly and seems to enjoy their work – it's nice to see that. The only drawback is the ambiance, which is very well thought out, but unfortunately, the professional eye is on every corner and edge. They could improve a few things here and there, and the stuffed animal, which seems to have been through a lot, could be cleaned. Nevertheless, these are minor things and do not detract from the quality of the food or the staff. You can eat here. I had the hot stone steak.

Apparently, it was too busy to deliver good food. The table right next to ours was dirty and no one saw us. We waited an hour for the food, which unfortunately wasn't even good. The burger was super flat, with barely any food on it... When we asked about it, the appetizer came after the main course—it must have been forgotten. Where was the sesame paste on the falafel?! When we asked, we were told that's how it always is. So, no real answer. The iced tea tasted like nothing. The employees were extremely stressed and were yelling at each other. I'm really sorry, but that wasn't good...

Unfortunately, the staff was completely overwhelmed. We waited 40 minutes for our order, and no one came with it, so we left.

The food is okay, of course not a 5-star menu, but that's not what you expect. It's very pleasant for a quick snack. I had the rump steak on lava stone, and I personally enjoyed it. There are better steaks, of course, but for the price range, it's okay. The ambiance has definitely seen better days. It could use a little more TLC, but nothing serious; only minor cosmetic repairs could be considered. The service (a nice bearded gentleman) is really great. He enjoys his work, likes to joke around, and that just lightens the atmosphere quite a bit. Conclusion: The staff is nice. The ambiance could use some cosmetic repairs. The food is okay for the price, but you shouldn't expect a 5-star menu. You can stop by for a quick snack, but it's not suitable for a company dinner or a fancy date.

Huge, fresh burgers – simply amazing! The burgers at Mahalo are not only huge, but also incredibly fresh and completely handmade. You can taste the quality in every bite! Add to that the super friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We were there for the first time today and were unfortunately disappointed. After ordering, we had to wait over half an hour for our drinks, and that was only after we asked. The fries arrived without cutlery or a napkin. Another 40 minutes later. When we wanted to order more drinks, they wanted to let the waitress know. This also took over 20 minutes, even though it wasn't busy. The discounts weren't included in the bill.

It's a shame, I was totally disappointed. Waited 50 minutes for drinks. A meal came, unfortunately no cutlery. Waited a long time for the cutlery. Second food didn't come for a long time. In return, another table got their food together. Unfortunately, when asked, nothing was changed about the situation. One had the feeling that the service was mindless and not organized at all. There was a hint that a big event had taken place the evening before. Still, the evening was very disappointing. We're definitely not coming back.

The service staff was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately, we waited a long time for our order and the bowl we put together wasn't tasty. From 2/3 the bowl tasted a bit unpleasant, so soapy. I couldn't quite identify whether it was the cucumber or the sushi rice. For the price, the quality is only moderate. It won't be my favorite shop, but you should have been here once.

This evening, after visiting a thermal spa and almost starving, I spontaneously had dinner here with my wife. My mouth was watering as soon as I looked through the menu and we were not disappointed. Starting with the fresh burgers and the home-made fries to the home-made sauces and the lemonade, everything was really outstanding and “final boss” type! I've truly eaten a lot of good burgers in my life and all I can say is: "That's a damn good burger"! The location is great, the service is excellent and the prices are absolutely reasonable given the top quality. I can only warmly and unreservedly recommend this restaurant. I couldn't avoid the awesome bowl (pictured) to take away. 🙈😁👍

We received a list of recommended restaurants from the hotel. This one is definitely missing from the list. Restaurant was pretty empty, but it was holidays and during the week. Warm welcome upon arrival. Looking at the menu, I was immediately drawn to the burgers. Milos Special as a menu with Fritz Kola and chili cheese fries. Quick to the table and so delicious you could almost inhale it. Additionally a bowl with rice and delicious ingredients to take away because I was just curious. A sheet for the ingredients is available. Just as recommended. What exactly was “Hawaiian” apart from a few beers on the menu and the beautiful container for the homemade lemonade... It didn’t matter. I hope the “beach area” in front of the building will be well received (from May). Conclusion: Highly recommended. Yummy. Friendly service. Quickly and on the ball.
