We had a great meal yesterday at the Hexenhäuschen (Witch's Cottage), a quaint and cozy atmosphere, and very attentive service. One small point of criticism... the food was a bit too oily for my taste, even though I enjoy hearty dishes... perhaps some of the food should be briefly placed on kitchen paper after frying. But otherwise, it was a good meal and a lovely evening.

Very quaint and lovingly decorated. Despite not having a reservation, they made an effort, and we found a comfortable seat at the counter. The food was incredibly delicious, and the appetizer of fried mushrooms with garlic cream was a dream. The service was very friendly and, despite the hustle and bustle, always had a kind word to offer.

Amazing place with a wizard decorations inside , albo a cosy garden outside. The food was delicious I ate Mafia Snitzel and it was a very good choice. The saff is also nice. It was a good time there

I don't know what to say... I'm still thrilled...: We were looking for a place to eat and stumbled upon this little restaurant by chance... the decor immediately caught my eye and was just the way I like it... old-fashioned 👌 I had the steak for dinner and was thrilled; I haven't had such a good steak in a long time... The rest was simply delicious too! For dessert, we had apple pie with ice cream, and I could have eaten so much more if I wasn't already more than full 😄 The price-performance ratio is just 100% perfect.... This restaurant will definitely be my first stop if I ever go to Bad Oyenhausen again 😄

I've rarely experienced such a friendly server. Even though the restaurant was full, she asked repeatedly, in a very friendly manner, if everything was okay. She even took the time to make a cool comment. It was also great that we were informed in advance that due to staffing levels, the food might take a while to arrive. The drinks arrived quickly. The food was incredibly good. Very generous portions and incredibly delicious!

A very cozy restaurant. Delicious food, and enough to fill you up. The service was excellent, friendly, and accommodating. Many thanks to the cook and the waitress; it was a feast. I wanted to reserve a table and therefore tried to call once in the morning. Nobody answered the phone. Now when I called again hours later, I was told in the most unfriendly manner and told what I could think of to disturb there. If no one is working and answering the phone, I don't understand why you have to be so unfriendly and snotty.

I like these types of restaurants. The food was so rich that we had to have the rest packed up. Great quirky atmosphere. If you like simple, delicious dishes and a simply inviting and cozy atmosphere, this is the right place for you.

I was here with my wife on February 1st. The inner city is unfortunately dead, but there are very tasty dishes here. My wife ordered the brawn and I ordered the schnitzel with champion sauce. We swapped plates in the middle. Both dishes were of great quality. The brawn tastes typical and fresh. The tartar sauce was seasoned perfectly. The schnitzel, across the plate and still quite thick, was juicy and tender, like no schnitzel I've had before. The fried potatoes, as if my grandmother had cooked them, simply good. The service is fast, you have to like the ambience, but it doesn't bother you. It's just the witch's house. Thank you for the very tasty feast

Seems absolutely inconspicuous at first. Rustic ambience, great service, just reading the menu is a joy (matched to the ambience), large portion but most importantly, very, very tasty...we were all very impressed. And for a really long time... surprised by the final price (absolutely positive) - I actually only know it the other way around Absolute recommendation!

I just fell in love with this place. I arrived and was looking for a place to eat when I noticed the witch's house. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and does the witches justice. If a restaurant can call itself a witch's house, it's this one. Everything here is thoroughly witch-themed. From the witches on the ceiling, to pictures of mythological creatures on the wall, to the menu with dishes like "Coastal Magic" and "Sweet Plague" - everything stays true to the witch theme. The toilets are signposted “Cesspool + Donnerbalken”. Very amusing! :) A cozy restaurant alone is not enough, after all, people come here hungry. The witch's house can also score points here. For €14 I got a decent portion. You're guaranteed to be full here and the whole thing tastes good too. Kudos to the kitchen! The price is probably more than just fair. Despite the fact that it was very busy and the staff had their hands full, the service didn't let the calm and humor be taken away from them. The atmosphere was very casual, a few funny sayings were made here and there and situational comedy was exploited. Very sympathic. Before I placed my order, the waitress informed me that it might take some time due to the high number of visitors. I found that very thoughtful and honest. After all the praise, now some constructive criticism! ;) For me, only cash payment was possible. We have a strong cash culture in Germany, but allowing card payments wouldn't hurt the witch's house. It's simply contemporary.
