Machiavelli in Frankfurt am Main

Llegamos al restaurante para descubrir que era noche de pasta (viernes). Había un menú fijo, el primer plato era una ensalada mixta. Esto fue seguido por 3 platos de pasta diferentes. Todo lo que se sirve es casero, incluyendo la pasta que está libre de huevo. La pasta estaba muy bien hecha. Terminamos con un sorbete de mango precioso ya que la tarta de chocolate habría sido demasiado llena. El restaurante cuenta con una muestra de fotografías que muestran al chef Angelo con varios futbolistas de renombre, incluido Diego Maradona. Fue un placer conversar con Angelo sobre sus experiencias en el mundo del fútbol. Angelo y su esposa son excelentes anfitriones que se preocupan por sus clientes.

We came here on Friday evening, we were not aware that there was a „pasta evening „ and only pasta menu including salat and dessert was offered. It was not expected but turned out to be a special experience sine during the meal there was a lady singing opera for us. It was not long but impressive enough. The price for pasta menu was reasonable.

Sencillamente fantástico! La comida espectacular, con ingredientes de gran calidad y una cocina elaborada con pasión y con cariño. Cuando estuvimos nosotros vi como preparaba el ragú para el día siguiente.... todavía recuerdo el aroma!! What a find, didn't have a booking but wanted Italian food and this didn't disappoint. Service was first class and the food was probably the best Italian I've eaten. Would I go back, in a heartbeat, would I recommend, yes wholeheartedly

I turned up to Machiavelli without reservation. "Do you have a table for one?" "Yes, sure. Have a seat there." At one of the 5 tables on the terrace. Then I go, "Can I see the menu?" "We don't have a menu. Let me fetch you a good pasta with frutti di mare." OK. 15 minutes later, I have delicious pasta with tomato sauce, sea fruit and cannellini beans, and an amazing glass of red wine before me. I was eating slowly so I could enjoy longer! While I was leaving the place two big plates of perfect-looking meat were being served to the table next to me, and I just regretted to have been to this restaurant by myself because I could have tasted more of their delicious food if I had just invited over some friends 😋 I'll be back Machiavelli!

Angelo is such a great host. We visited this restaurant 3 years ago before Covid and had an amazing time so we knew we had to go back. The food and wine are absolutely the best!

Went for Friday's pasta night, it was really good! Three pasta plates that were each of them delicious homemade pasta and sauce. Combined with white wine made an excellent dinner. Thanks to Angello and the service team for the nice experience.

Wir sind häufiger schon an dem etwas unscheinbaren Restaurant vorbei spaziert und hatten jetzt die Gelegenheit einen Tisch zu reservieren. Was soll ich sagen: Es war ganz zauberhaft! Für einen Donnerstagabend war leider nicht viel los, was ich persönlich nicht verstehen kann. Wir sind von Angelo mit einem großen Lächeln begrüßt worden, uns wurden die Jacken abgenommen und wir wurden platziert. Prompt kam eine Flasche Wasser und die Frage ob man ein Glas Wein wolle. Es gab immer wieder kurze aufmerksame Gespräche - so habe ich bei der Reservierung angegeben, dass wir vorher im Palmengarten sind und daher nicht vor 21:00Uhr kommen werden - prompt kam die Frage: „Wie war es im Palmengarten?“. Toll! Zum Essen hat er uns dreierlei Pasta empfohlen, mit einem Salat und Dolce zum Abschluss. Der, wenn auch einfache, Salat kam üppig daher mit einem sehr guten Dressing - lecker! Die hausgemachte Pasta war absoluter Wahnsinn, es Orecchiette mit Bolognese, dann kamen Trofiette mit Gänse-Ragout (Schokolade und Rotwein) und zum Abschluss noch Spaghettinis mit Gorgonzola und Trüffel. Meiner Frau haben die Trüffelpasta am besten geschmeckt, mein Highlight war das Gänse-Schokoladen-Rotwein Ragout. Also wirklich ausgezeichnet!! Als Dessert gab es eine Art Profitetol mit Schokoladen-Schaum gefüllt. Auch lecker - aber hier hätte ich auf die sehr süße Fruchtsoße verzichten können. Alles in allem sind wir am Ende mit einem 100er (inklusive ca. 10% Trinkgeld/ 3 Gläser Wein, Fl. Wasser, Salat, 3 Pastagerichte pro Person und Dessert) raus und waren überglücklich und sehr satt. Toller Wein, Pasta auf spitzen Niveau und ein absoluter top Service! Vielen lieben Dank, wir wünschen ganz viele Besucher - wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!

I live in Frankfurt and can be lazy about leaving my neighborhood since there are many good options closer but for Angelo's cooking I make the effort. So delicious and authentic - not just your cookie cutter Italian restaurant. Lovely as a romantic night out, with the family or even at a cozy table for one. It ticks all the boxes.

This place don't accept any reservation online eventhough OpenTable has them on the website. No menu or price so be prepared to pay whatever is on your bill. Food was good, nice texture gnocchi. Not sure if it's worth going back.
