Macaroni Grill in Ramstein-Miesenbach

The appetizer arrived with the main course; the food was cold, and they forgot the Parmesan and a spoon for my small child. There was no time to ask for anything because everyone was rushing past. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy. We were asked about takeaway containers even though our plates were still half full and we were still eating. The floor under the table was filthy, even though we waited 10 minutes for a table.

Our waitress was a pure delight and very responsive and our good was prepared to perfection.

Good experience overall. Wooden high chairs that fit my 8month old and 3 yr old. I ordered 2 teas they were nice but the syrup possibly wasn’t stirred all the way or not enough syrup. We went on Tuesday during the kids eat free time. My daughter loved her spaghetti. The Mac cheese for the kids menu was penne pasta and it was a bit waxy and plain. We ordered the artichoke dip it was cheesy and nice but it was served with bread not chips, we didn’t expect that but it was a very nice change we enjoyed it. We then ordered buffalo chicken pasta and ribeye steak. The buffalo chicken was crispy and great and the pasta was nice and went very well with the chicken I liked it but my wife didn’t know the pasta has a blue cheese sauce and didn’t favorite it. My steak was cooked medium well just like I requested and had a good amount of seasonings but it had no sear sadly. The truffle parm fries were good but mostly just parm fries I feel. The service was nice and I felt cared for and comfortable.

I understand Mac Grill can get some hate, but my husband and I along with some friends went for brunch and had some of the best food ever! Service was great, everything was fresh, and prices were affordable as well. I highly recommend and we plan to go back. I hope this helps those who have heard hesitant reviews. 😊

I went on a Sunday when they just opened so it was not very busy. The service was slow but the food was very good. Makes up for the slow service. My husband loved the steak!

I'm surprised this restaurant doesn’t have a higher rating because it’s really good, especially compared to other places nearby. The food tastes great, the service is reliable, and the servers are genuinely friendly. Plus, the prices are very affordable for a place that looks this nice.

Garbage! The chicken parm was hard. Half of it was rock hard like when you reheat old food. And the bread tastied and felt like 3day old food

I love eating here, but I think some elderly people complained about the lighting and music in the bathroom because now it's stage-like bright and a silent bathroom which is awkward. Go back Macaroni Grill!!!

Food is good. Its a 50/50 on the bread coming to you, but id rather pay the money here for my family of 5 than at Chilli's (mind you Chilli's cost us more for worse food). Staff are always friendly too! No complaints.

It was alittle busy when we were their and they seemed short staffed. The food came out quick and was pretty decent.

Who ever Cidney is that works there, she needs to be fired. She had the worse attitude and she was snatching everything out of our hands. She freakin sucks and does not need to work there. Her customer service was horrible. I’ll never come back again ever!

Cidney customer service was the worst, rude since the start until the end food was not what I was expecting at all. In general one of my worst experiences.

Literally only 2 tables , waited 30+ to see a server. Only thing that saved it was the fact the food wasn’t bad.

I had the chicken Caesar salad at Romano’s Macaroni Grill, and it was absolutely delicious! The portion was hearty and satisfying—perfect for a full meal. The service was excellent—friendly and quick. If you’re looking for a great place to enjoy a fresh, flavorful salad, this is it. Highly recommend!

They don’t do pitchers. Absolute shame.

Sadly me and my husband did not enjoy the food. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo, the pasta was way over cooked and the chicken is clearly not real meat, it had a smooshy texture that was very unpleasant. My husband ordered the a medium ribeye steak, it came out rare and had a tap water after taste. I also ordered the cheese cake, if your a fan of their cheesecake then you understand how good it is, but again a disappointment, it wasn’t the worst just not their usual amazing cheesecake. Our server was very nice and the atmosphere looks nice. We were really looking forward to that familiar Macaroni Grill taste and this sadly was not it.

Oh dear ! That's all I can say about my experience! I ordered the chicken parmesan and it came out cold i was given another one which was even colder 😕 I then ordered the shrimp spaghetti and it was boiled shrimp with no flavor what so ever in a watery sauce . The pizza was tasty though that my hubby had . It's such a shame, our server was lovely and apologized and didn't charge me for my food . The restaurant itself is very nice inside but needs a good clean . I wish we had read reviews before we went because it seems to be a regular occurrence that the food is not up to standard here . It's disappointing when you look forward to going out for a meal and leave hungry and unsatisfied!

The last time we were here was 10 yrs ago. This is our second time at Ramstein and I totally hyped this place up. I talked about the wait staff, the warm bread with table side olive oil salt & pepper dip and the food. We had to ask for water, bread and the olive oil dip. The bread was cold and hard like it’d been sitting out and already drenched in oil. The mama trip looked like it was microwaved. The lasagna was dried and crispy on the edge and it looked like they were trying to fix it up by dumping more marinara sauce on it. The chicken was cooked well and the Alfredo tasted like instant sauce. I was also surprised by the calamari. It’s not the lightly dusted and fried ones I remembered. Our waitress was really good but it took forever to ask for our check. We gave it a try and will probably not be back.

Food was good, although the breaded fish was a bit over fried. The service (the bartender) was great.

Good atmosphere and service for the most part. The Food is good, but often cold. Ive had the steaks here maybe 5 times. I think it was cooked correctly maybe twice, other times, undercooked and cold. I’ve had the soups maybe a dozen times. They’re ok, but have been served cold often. I often order the chicken scallopini. I just had it now, served cold. I don’t know why it’s happening, hot meals should come hot, at least warm. At least the salads have come as expected, cold. Please look into this issue. It should be an easy fix. I don’t think I can keep coming back if I keep getting served cold or undercooked food.

Amy the server was great, can’t say anything else positive about our experience. The appetizer plates were dirty when we turned them over. There was floating particles in our water. Food 100% tastes like it came out of a microwave and then sat under a heat lamp all day. Expensive for what you receive. Definitely will not be back.

The waitress had a horrible attitude. Felt like she did not want to be there. Took our order but still forgot to bring it to us. Did not come back to check on us had to track her down to get the check. Horrible service....

I had calamari and spaghetti with meatballs, both were simply average. I ate in many better Italian places (however, I would call this rather an American-Italian, as the meatballs were huge, and other pastas had a typical American twist, e.g. Alfredo with chicken). Anyway, it still seems to be a decent option when you're on the base. Only 3* for service because the main course came, while I was still having my starter. Also it took a while for the service to take order on my drink. I had a beer, but the cocktails looked nice. Also, there are some vegetarian options, and it's open a bit longer than the majority of places around, which are also some important positive points about this place.

Do not waste your money or time coming here. The grilled chicken was like rubber. The spinach and artichoke dip was cold in the center. Service not attentive. Overcharged more than the authorized tip.

I love love eating here, but they took away the mac and cheese balls and I cried really tears in the restaurant.

For the most part the food was way better than the last time I was here, 1-2 years ago. The pizza was really good and the rest was average. Drinks are free refills, sweet tea is definitely not southern sweet tea. Service was good, but nothing that stands out. Overall I would come back.

The crushing weight of despair enveloped me like a dark cloud when our excellent server, Brad, delivered the gut-wrenching news that Macaroni Grill has forsaken the glorious appetizers, fried mozzarella and macaroni bites! It nearly sent me into a medical emergency of gargantuan proportions. MACARONI is in the name of this place... Frank, how could you? 😢 Frank, if you can hear my anguished cry, I implore you with every fiber of my being — please, for the love of all that's cheesy and delectable, bring back the heavenly morsels of fried delight! My heart and my taste buds ache for their triumphant return! 🧀

Bring back Macoroni bites or change your name!! How is the GM going to take away the number 1 selling item on the menu?!??!?! Yeah this my last visit.

Brought my kids out for brunch. Got the brisket skillet, daughter the Farmers skillet. Eggs were so over cooked they were like rubber, yolk was drier than can be. Mushrooms like rubber. Potatoes wet and mushy (think oily). Bread dry. Complained to the manager, they were sooo understanding they gave my kids free lemonade and sprite. Well that was nice of them. Picking up the Sarcasm? Apparently, that's how the skillet was supposed to be and it's my fault for not asking my eggs to be scrambled. Lived here 13 years and Mac Grill gets worse every year. Never again.

Originally I gave 5 stars here, but after my recent visit I must lower it. The food prices have increased and portions are very small. They now charge money for the bread that used to be free. My wife and I got a pizza, ravioli, side of Parmesan fries, and a mixed drink that came out to $70. There are much better priced pizza and pasta places nearby.

We were there for lunch, the food was delicious. The waiter very friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back.

I only had some garlic bread and some drinks. I love garlic bread with olive oil and vinaigrette. The combination is just perfect and messing up on making bread is hard to do so I was pretty satisfied. The Jolly Green Rancher drink was pretty good as well. Not the fruitiest but not the worst. Our bartender was nice and attentive as well. It’s a decent eatery on base and I’m stop by more often

The service was well trained and courteous. I was a bit surprised at the combination of paper tablecloth and cloth napkin... Unfortunately, the Caesar salad was nothing at all, the dressing was too runny, the chicken breast was too tough and I missed the obligatory parmesan shavings. The steak and salmon were really tasty and cooked to perfection. However, I generally find the prices to be a tad too high. Unfortunately, the toilets were a bit shabby around 1 p.m., which I honestly wouldn't have expected given the nice atmosphere of the restaurant. So my visit was a rather average experience.

Absolutely terrible service today. We are regulars here and have been for years now and it's finally time to call this place quits. Over the years we have seen this place go down and down and down and down in quality in every measure. Understaffed and overworked staff struggling to keep up with management's decisions while getting paid penny's. I feel for them. It's hard to deliver quality of service in a terrible environment. The food is often fine or just OK. More so these days it's more just terrible. Now you are required to pay for the bread which used to be free and it hasn't been good bread in a long time. Often a round hard mound that no utensil they give you will cut through. We got the Americano today and they seem to have just given the burnt pan scraping of eggs, undercooked bacon, overcooked bread and potatoes. Couldn't get the server to ever return so we never got refills. Took forever to get the check. The last 3 times we have been here it's been a similar story. It's not worth the price, the service is terrible and I'm tired.

Mac Grill is a nice spot, but there have been times where the food was underwhelming. Specifically my wife got an eggs benedict that was cold and the potatoes were either old or undercooked. Those are fairly rare instances as their lunch and dinner menus are very good. Pasta has always been a solid choice every time.

The food is good. I tried the steak one day and the spaghetti on another. Prices seem high though.

I honestly don't understand what happened. Why the quality of food this time was terrible. I order the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. What was describe as a cream sauce, look and tasted like watery soup. My only explanation about the chicken is that it was lab/ printed chicken breast.. it was like was chewing rubber. No flavor, Long story short Terrible. The bartender was professional to recognize the plate was not good and didn't charge me for it. But who ever prepared that plate should be retrained.

I used to love eating there. I loved the seafood pasta (Di mare), but now they changed the menu. I had pizza which wasn’t tasting good at all. Please put up the good work again. Sadly more and more restaurants are closing.

It’s a really nice restaurant with great service but the food is just mid as mid can get. I’ll go back but just for drinks at the bar. (Update I went back for the steak with compound butter 1 year later and it was probably the best steak I’ve ever had in my life)

Been coming here for awhile and its a spot my husband and I enjoy to eat. However this day was terrible. To start my silverware was dirty, our bread that came to the table was cold and tough. Didn't get my water till the end of my meal ( asked for it in the beginning), husbands chicken parmesan wasn't warm. I got the carmela's chicken rigatoni, this was disgusting. After a couple of bites I couldn't stomach it and ended up throwing up on how awful it tasted. Comes to find out there's a new cook who didn't even know how to cook the meal. We also noticed some tables where not cleaned all the way. Food left underneath tables and trash on the floor. Ordered a cranberry orange spritz, tasted like watered down grapefruit. Mozzarella sticks where highly over cooked.So disappointing.

Don't order soup to go you pay almost 6 dollars for not even half of the container this isn't even the amount they serve you in restaurant either.

Had the Sirloin. Was cooked well but the sauce topping was a bit salty for ne. Sides were good.

I got sick after eating there. Don't do it - there are plenty of better places to get Italian food. I recommend Mama Mias or Da Maria, both in Landstuhl, or Milanos in Kaiserslautern. Insult to injury: the prices are outlandish.

Good food. Good service. No tap to pay option. They must physically swipe your credit card or take cash.

My husband and I had dinner for my birthday. I ordered Italian Mule ( tastes like Moscow Mule but more refreshing like mojito ). As soon as we ordered our drinks, the nice waiter served Free Water and Bread. On top of that, there were plastic straws in my drink. Best Birthday Ever 😮 Food was great, but the portion was not that generous I would say. However, having a cheesecake for a dessert made us full enough. Friendly staffs. Good enough food. Family friendly restaurant, but at the same time, totally okay for a couple or friends. Thank you all so much for making my day more special♥️

Staff is always friendly. Food is as you would expect from a chain. On the day we went the food was cold for three of us but wasn't something you could send back to warm. They would have had to remake all three dishes and it wasn't worth it. I suspect that they waited to serve all dishes when the last was ready.

It's on Ramstein Air Base so there's that problem if you can't get on base but when you want a taste of home and have time to stop by - I recommend any of the chicken dishes... beer is cold, some kind of sports match is playing, and it can get lively....

Tried to go there last night, waited about 10 mins to talk to the hostess for a table, she wasn't even there when there was a line out the door. Once she came back, she gave us attitude and talked to us with a full mouth full of food. Nope, very rude

Amo la pasta y más la Alfredo con pollo, y aquí me la hicieron deliciosa. Nos gustó mucho el variado menú, ordenamos calamares fritos (estaban regular), y desayuno americano que uno daba para dos. Gracias al servicio de nuestro camarero, Mike, un mexicano con excelente disposición de servir.

Really disappointed in their appetizer bread. It used to be fantastic. Crunchy crust, salty, a little olive oil on it. Now it's a soft soggy mess, and very tough to cut. It resembles a freezer to microwave bread. Ruined the first part of dinner. On the plus side, the new Italian Nacho appetizer is FANTASTIC.

It's the go-to restaurant instead of the food court. The employees are knowledgeable and food delicious. Especially the bread! It was my sis B-Day. Our waiter Will took great care of her, and treated her to the biggest slice of Delectable cheesecake! Thank You!

Stopped by for lunch. The food came out hot and fresh. Calamari was on point and the spaghetti with meatballs were delicious also.

Surprisingly good food, not a big fan of franchise sized sit down eateries, so I had low expectations. Great server who was helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and provided an excellent choice off the menu. The food was amazing and I vowed to return.

Best place to hangout best food ever

The bread was great per usual, but the service was meh. They dropped off bread to the table but then it took 10 mins to get someone to bring us oil & fresh pepper. My shrimp scampi pasta was lacking in the flavor department although the shrimp did taste fresh.

Service was good, but the food was mediocre at best. We went for lunch, and I had a chicken parmessan sandwich that I ultimately threw in the trash. The artichoke dip to start was disappointing, and I should've stopped there.

The good was great. I have a gluten allergy and went here 2 days in a row. The first day the server was nice, the second day the server was a bit short attitude wise. I gave very specific details on the "create your own pasta" option. My food was good the first day. The second day the order came out incorrectly but then was fixed correctly. The second server seemed to have an attitude but became more polite as the meal continued. All in all the food was good and the service was good. I have 3 stars because of the bathroom. The rest of the restaurant was great. I will say that I did complain the first day that the bathrooms stink something awful. I didn't even go into the restroom the 2nd visit. I told them that it smelled like a porta potty that had been sitting in the hot sun, in New Orleans, during Mardi Gras, used by thousands of people. That's not an exaggeration. It was awful. They were aware of the situation and said that they were working on it but nothing had been done yet. I react to air fresheners but that would have been better than the stinky smell.

My favorite place on base. I love how they prepare stakes.

My family loved the food here. The environment and music was fun. The presentation of the food was amazing. My kids love this place and we would love to come back when we make it back to the area. I would recommend this place to family and friends any day.

Fantastic restaurant with plenty of options and prices are what you would expect and fair. The food was absolutely great both me and my daughter enjoyed it very much. A little reminder of being back home. Thank you.
