My goto pub for 20 years. I come here to meet new people, have an english chat, enjoy some soulfood and of course have a pint of Guinness.

Restaurant with a cozy pub atmosphere. The pub has been a permanent address in Jülich for 28 years. Guinness and Kilkenny are served alongside Kölsch and Pilsner, and recently also their own ale. In the whiskey shelf you will find a good selection even beyond the well-known brands. The kitchen is small so there are fixed dishes depending on the day, for example ribs on Wednesdays and usually burgers on other days. There can also be days with wings or prawns. The food tastes good and goes well with the pub. The staff is friendly and attentive. The interior is rustic and cozy, some of the seating inside has been created with beer tent sets.

Original Irish atmosphere in Jülich. Food and drinks go well beyond the usual monotony. The owner brothers demonstrate their creativity with ever new, original delicacies and cocktails and, more recently, even their own beer. Prices aren't really cheap anymore, but there's work behind it, and the family atmosphere on site makes up for it. We always enjoy coming here and can really recommend “the” pub in Jülich.

Just how you imagine an Irish pub 😉, rustic and cozy. There are always events taking place, such as live music and on a few days of the month there is special food, such as Taco Tuesday. Ross always comes up with good combinations to serve his guests. There is also the opportunity to have a whiskey tasting every now and then throughout the year. But beer, wine and cocktail tastings have also taken place. The stomach definitely doesn't stay empty because even then there is suitable food to eat with it. There is always something on the menu for vegetarians. The only disadvantage I see is for people with wheelchairs. There is a step at the entrance and the toilet is in the basement and can only be reached via stairs.

yes, what nice things can I say about the store??? good question……to be honest they don’t deserve the name “pup”…..they only deserve the 2 stars for their really nice employees…..but otherwise there is more to a pup than what is delivered locally…… painted corrugated iron sheets to make it look old…. 👎🏻 …… charts instead of suitable music ….. 👎🏻 ….. there is a lot of room for improvement ….

Very nice waitresses and owners, Food is always innovative, new and delicious. Many events such as pub quizzes or wings. Would follow on social media to get the updates and recommend reservation

I'll put it this way: unfortunately awesome. Great staff, super cozy and really in a good mood. They actually wanted to do last call today at 8:30 p.m. and the kitchen was closed. It's now 8:52 p.m., we're well fed and we've just been recommended an espresso martini. Clear recommendation 👍🏻

We, a group of 10+ people, reserved a place to celebrate the birthday of a friend. For that occasion, we brought a special bottle of Italian wine as a birthday present and asked an employee if it would be okay to toast with it while consuming other drinks from the restaurant. I believe the owner was unaware of the situation because when he discovered the bottle a few minutes later, he reacted highly inappropriate. He unlawfully confiscated the present from the Birthday Boy and emptied the bottle without any prior warning in front of his eyes. To justify his strong reaction, he accused us of ignoring the law of which we were fully aware. Despite our efforts to comprehend his behaviour and explain ourselves, the owner became overly aggressive and did not even let us finish our sentences. FYI find below a translation of the legal basis to which I also referred during the “discussion” with the owner: „The confiscation and annihilation of drinks brought in by the guest is an infringement of the guest's property rights and therefore not allowed and can be punished as property damage according to § 303 of the German Criminal Code." Furthermore, such an action would violate the restaurant law (see Cologne District Court (Az .: 203 C 6/16) and section 9 of the Restaurant Act (GastG)). I would recommend Mr. Lynch to inform himself about the legal situation before insulting and accusing others of ignorance, talking to his employees first, then speak to the guests, explain them his point of view and listen to them also. He may want to suggest charging a fee, BUT NEVER EVER touch and wilfully destroy the property of guests. I am sure, that with a more appropriate reaction of the owner, we would have found a solution which would have satisfied everybody. But under these violations and circumstances, for me and a bunch of others, it was the last time being there, unless the owner will compensate for the damage he has caused (65€).

Ich komme schon viele Jahre immer mal wieder in den Pub und genieße es jedes Mal aufs neue. Urgemütliche Atmosphäre, leckeres Bier und es gibt immer mal wieder leckere Specials an Speisen. Lohnt sich definitiv mal vorbei zu schauen. Cheers @ Ross & Team

Wow. What can I say. Brilliant venue, delicious and original food and great staff. We booked the Irish Pub for our wedding reception and the team did such an amazing job. The place looked tip top and the guests were really well taken care of. Everyone said how much they enjoyed the food and the night as a whole. Informal, personal, relaxed. Exactly what we wanted. Ein wirklich schnuckeliges Lokal. Es sieht innen so urig und gemütlich aus, dass ich dort gerne verweile. Wir hatten uns allerdings für die Terrasse entschieden bei der man auch schön sitzen konnte. Es war Burger Time! Die Burger zwar nicht ganz preiswert, aber mega lecker und seeeeehr gut aussehend. Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung und das Wetter machten am Donnerstag den Abend perfekt. War überrascht wie gut besucht der Pub in der Woche war. Daher vielleicht besser einen Tisch reservieren. Ich werde gerne wieder kommen

Urgemütlich und stilecht. Besitzer super nett. Auch wenn eigentlich keine Küche auf ist stellt er sich in die Küche und kredenzt etwas. Zum Beispiel Flammkuchen mit Salat und Lachs. Und die Burger die es hin und wieder gibt suchen ihresgleichen..🤤🤤

Great little pub with the most amazingly friendly staff. Owner is really passionate about his food. I had the Gambas (prawn) special and it was fantastic. Will definitely be coming here more often.

Sehr cooles Ambiente. Heute all you can eat chicken wings mit verschiedenen Saucen. Es fehlte ne vegetarische Alternative für die Vegetarier in der Gruppe, mir persönlich hat nix gefehlt 😎

Coole Location mit den besten Gastgebern überhaupt. Paddy und Ross sind tolle Typen mit Humor und Freundlichkeit. Gutes Essen, eine große Getränkeauswahl und regelmäßige Aktionen. Volle Empfehlung.

There was 3 servers today, two of them were new and totally nice, but the experienced server decided that she had a vendetta against someone and started treating everyone rudely. When we paid, I saw the bill was wrong and asked about it nicely, but she was not having it and just read through like she's talking to a child, she still made a mistake and billed us for more than we ordered.

Kommen mittlerweile regelmäßig als kleine Gruppe in den pub. Die Atmosphäre ist super und die Bier und Whisky Auswahl ist auch sehr gut. Würden immer sehr freundlich bedient und gut beraten. Skal!

Zum was trinken gehen wunderbar! Essen gibt es wohl nur an ausgewählten Tagen & dann 2-3 "Gerichte" An diesem Tag gab es Spare Rips & einen Flammkuchen sowie überbackene Nachos. Den drei Männern ging es danach nicht so gut-alle drei Rips. Bedienungen sind super & auch die Preisleistung sonst passt. Im Lokal wird nicht geraucht-Pluspunkt. Kartenzahlung auch möglich.

Sympathisch. Als Info muss aber gesagt werden dass die Speisekarte wie sie hier steht nicht ganz stimmt. Es gibt nach meiner Info immer Nachos und Flammkuchen, die ganzen anderen Gerichte sind jedoch nur Specials. Also gibt es an manchen Tagen Burger und an anderen Wings. Weil es aber ein pub ist und kein Restaurant, finde ich das so auch gut und die Qualität der Specials ist immer hervorragend. Man sollte sich diese nicht entgehen lassen, muss aber evt reservieren um noch einen platz zu kriegen

Also das essen ist leider alles (nur vom geschmack her) tiefkühlwahre aber okay. Die auswahl ist groß genau wie der preis aber dafur das es wircklich aus irland kommt sehr lecker bin gerne hier. Das Ambiente ist sehr nice die bediemung ist sehr freundlich und witzig. Alles in allem ein nicer laden um zu saufen, zum essen eher weniger. Die ausnahme ist im Sommer ist ab und an ein grill aufgestellt und da ist es sehr lecker. Also daumen hoch 👍

Urige irische Kneipe, wie man sie heutzutage selten findet. Obwohl ich zuvor noch nie dort war, füllte ich mich sofort wohl. Der Wirt ist ein echt lustiger Vogel, im positiven Sinne. Hat Spaß gemacht und wenn ich Mal wieder am Wochenende in Jülich bin, komme ich gern wieder dort hin.

Seht leckere Burger, sehr zu empfehlen!

We recently got married and had our wedding celebration at the pub. What can I say?! It was beyond perfect! The decorations, the food, the staff, the owners, just amazing!! We got excatly what we wished for and more. The planning was so easy going, Paddy took care of everything. We are so glad that we decided to have our wedding celebration there. It was a blast! Even my friends from abroad were having an amazing time and will surely go back for a drink or two when they return for a visit. Thank you all so much again. We are forever grateful for making our day so special.

Unser Sohn hat seine Hochzeit im Pub gefeiert und es war ein wunderschöner Tag. Vielen Dank nochmal an das ganze Team sie waren alle super nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Und auch das Essen war super.

Eine Institution in Jülich. Netter, schneller Service, kreative Snacks, kultige Pub Atmosphäre. Für einen ungezwungenen Abend mit Freunden das Richtige. Überwiegend junges Publikum aber immer auch ein paar ältere Stammgäste.

Schöne, gemütliche Atmosphäre und leckeres Bier vom Fass, so wie man es von einem Irish Pub erwartet. Dazu sehr nette, fixe Bedienung und leckeres Essen für den Hunger zwischendurch. Die Terasse lädt zu gemütlichen Abenden an frischer Luft ein. Jeder Zeit wieder.

Ein einladendes uhriges Pub man kann sich hier sehr wohlfühlen. Auf der Außenterrasse steht eine gute Anzahl an Bierzeltganituren. Neben dem Eingang stehen Decken, demnach kann sich jeder Gast, wenn es ihm zu Kalt wird, eine wegnehmen, für die Verweildauer. Das Preisniveau für die Getränke halte ich auch für angemessen. Einem Schöner schönen Zeit zum Verweilen steht nichts mehr im Weg. Nur leider muss ich einen Stern in der Wertung abziehen, da die Toiletten eine kleine Zumutung sind. Im Detail heißt das, dass die Pissoirs sind für Damen einsichtlich ohne Tür zugänglich. Und die Türe bei der Kabine von den Herren lies sich von innen nicht verriegeln da kein meschanismus vorhanden war.
