Unfortunately this is no longer the delicious gyro from before, the Greek was simply better🤔but it's a matter of taste 🤭

I don't understand the negative reviews. We ordered gyros pita with fries. The gyro meat was definitely among the best in the Düren-Jülich area that day. The fresh, delicious coleslaw combined with the delicious gyro meat and pita bread was simply fantastic. The fries were also delicious and crispy, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We'll definitely be back.

We had to wait almost 1.5 hours; the appetizer came with the main course. There were four tables occupied in total. The neighboring tables probably won't be cleared next week.

Today was the first time we ate at Akropolis since the change of ownership. We had bifteki with rice and gyros baked with Metaxa and fries. A delicious mixed salad was served before the main course, followed by the main course at a reasonable distance. We were both full. I even had to leave some meat behind – it was a huge portion. We both enjoyed our meal very much – the tzatziki could have had more garlic for me 😉 To finish off, we were served a delicious ouzo as a nightcap – perfect – thumbs up for that 👍

A very cozy outdoor terrace, friendly service. And the food is delicious, too. The prices are reasonable, considering the times.

Nice Greek snack bar; something between a snack bar and a restaurant. Simple but tasty dishes, generous portions. Friendly service. The ambiance isn't great; it's quite cramped and dark inside, and the backyard is quite plain outside.

I just ordered from here and spent €30 on a baked gyro with Metaxa sauce and a gyro with fries. What was delivered to me was, unfortunately, a complete disappointment. The baked gyro was simply carelessly placed in a delivery box – the portion was so small that I'm seriously wondering what I paid for. But hey, I thought, maybe the taste will convince me. Unfortunately, no such luck: the cheese was barely baked, more like slightly melted. The gyro itself was extremely greasy and had a tough consistency – it felt like chewing on gum. Selling something like this for €15 is completely incomprehensible to me. I'm truly disappointed and wish customers could get more quality for their money. Not so!

Very good food with great service at prices from fifteen years ago.

For us, Akropolis is definitely number 1 in Jülich!! Both on site in the restaurant - it is particularly clean and tidy here, no matter which area you look in - and also with the delivery service - hardly anyone manages to deliver food faster and hotter - and the boss and staff are very nice, polite and friendly. The food is always fresh and anyone who loves Greek cuisine will not be disappointed here, as it is simply delicious and of good quality. The tzatziki is the best in all of Jülich - I can say this with complete justification, as we eat out and order out a lot. Akropolis is more than worth a visit and if you are in doubt, you should just see for yourself!! I say: thumbs up 👍🏼 and keep it up!!

We've ordered from Akropolis more than 23 times since it opened, and we've never been disappointed. We're happy to finally have a snack bar in this service-deprived Jülich where the meat tastes like meat and the tzatziki tastes like tzatziki! Everything in the restaurant itself is spotless. You can tell the management here puts their heart and soul into the business. The food is probably too good for the people who give it a bad review. My favorite place to eat in Jülich! 🙋🏻‍♀️

The first and last time since the change of ownership. The food was subpar Gyros are dry and old, the portions are small and the price is ridiculously high. I'm definitely not coming back. It's a shame it used to be my favorite snack bar in Jülich 🙁 Better to go to a restaurant for the same money

I've eaten here several times now and it tasted delicious. You have to give everyone a chance. Everything was good for us. I can't understand the other bad reviews, then they have no idea. They probably can't cook themselves.

First visit since the change of ownership. Was very disappointed!! The portion of fries was extremely small. You could count the fries. Completely failed for me. There will be no second attempt. I wouldn't have given a star, but it was necessary to post the post.

We've been there three times now and it just didn't taste good at all. Last time I was served fries with cold pepper cream sauce. The gyro meat tasted old and the salad was just slapped on top. Not what it used to be.

The evening before last I apparently ate the leftovers from the skewer, gyros, fries, mayo tzatziki. 4 hours later multiple vomiting diarrhea fever chills with two people both. Next day also in the bucket. Never again. Personal introduction to the snack bar is not possible due to illness!!!

Really fresh, well prepared and tasty

Acropolis has really slowed down. It used to be the best shop in Jülich, but everything has somehow changed for the worse. The cucumber salad turned out really bad. The meat also tastes strangely seasoned compared to before. Maybe you should consider keeping the old system.

Portions quite small, but tasty. Overall, quite expensive for a quick lunch with a drink. Too bad

Unfortunately for me there is no comparable gyro quality to the previous owners Antonios and Maria. For decades there was the best gyros in Jülich.

Isn't my gyros much too greasy and burnt, zazicki, meatballs and cream sauce taste like nothing, sorry but it's just a matter of taste, not for me

After changing ownership, reopened and tested. The gyros are very good, but the portions could be a bit larger for the price

After what feels like 50 years, the owner has changed, but so far there is still a ray of hope between the 8 kebab shops on 300 m between the witch's tower and the swan pond.

Unlike the kebab shops in town, this greek place can take card payment. They have figured out technology created in the 1970s. :-) I had a gyro plate and it was delicious. I will be coming back. Great service, delicious food, well packed for transport to home.

Good gyros place in the center of Jülich. The order was placed when we went into the restaurant, and a few moments later the pita was brought to our table in the beer garden. Beer garden is in the back area, away from the street... Would come here to eat again

Simply delicious food and inexpensive

Very nice and very clean fast food restaurant. Very tastefully decorated. The owner and his wife very friendly. Gyros, tzatziki and coleslaw were great. Gladly again.

Very tasty gyros and good portion. I also really liked that the gyros were cut a little larger and the tzatziki was served separately. The service was quick and very friendly and the price was okay too.

Counted fries? Dry gyros? Unfriendly service? I can not confirm. I was there for the first time yesterday. The service was friendly and attentive, the fries were crispy and the gyros were juicy. The portions at the neighboring tables were also generous, and everyone praised the delicious food. My conclusion: I would love to come back!

Seit Jahren schon der Gyrosprofi meines Vertrauens. Die besten Lieferfritten weit und breit, weil in Zeitungspapier eingepackt, das das Kondenswasser absorbiert. Sauleckere Zigeunersauce.

Seit meiner Kindheit (noch bei den Vorbesitzern) war "Akropolis" der Inbegriff für leckeres Gyros in Jülich, in den letzten Jahren des hiesigen Döner-Booms (ess ich auch, aber Gyros mag ich halt lieber) quasi für mich eine der letzten Bastionen der griechischen Esskultur. Wir holen es meistens ab, leider war das jetzt 3x in Folge ein Fehlgriff. Das Fleisch total trocken und völlig übergahrt, die Pommes nicht nur geschmacklich, sondern auch sichtlich mehr als einmal im Fett, das darf man sich bei der Preisgestaltung der letzten Jahre nicht erlauben. Mag sein, dass das Fleisch nachmittags in der Pause auf dem Spieß verweilt, wenn man aber den Laden abends wieder öffnet, kann man die ersten Schichten nicht dem Kunden auf den Teller packen ... anders kann ich mir eben dieses trockene Etwas ... und das 3x hintereinander ... nicht wirklich erklären, sehr schade. Kundenzähler minus 3 Personen.

Unscheinbares griechisches Restaurant mit schönem Biergarten im Hinterhof. Das Essen ist lecker und man kann es im ruhigen Hinterhof genießen.

Heute habe ich wieder Supergut hier gegessen man kann alles empfehlen, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, hier komme ich und meine Familie wieder hin!👍

Seit Jahren mein favorisiertes, inhabergeführtes Schnellrestaurant. Gutes Essen, freundlicher Service, angenehmes Ambiente. Lieferservice ist top.

Über das Essen kann man wirklich nicht meckern es schmeckt immer sehr lecker,aber enttäuscht über die schlechte Qualität der preisanpassung. Dafür gibt es sternabzug, denn nach wiederholter Nachfrage eines neuen Prospektes kommt immer wieder wir haben keine neuen....aber die Preise werden immer teurer.Der Kunde bestellt und ist dann sehr erstaunt über den Preis vorallem wenn dieser mal innerhalb von wenigen Monaten scheinbar erneut erhöht wurde in der Speisekarte aber ein ganz anderer steht. Auch online stimmen die Preise nicht.Ich persönlich finde es nicht rechtens das man die Preise erhöht aber die Prospekte nicht anpasst und somit die Kunden nicht vernünftig über aktuelle Preise informiert werden.

Eigentlich ein guter Schuppen. Doch seit gestern hat sich meine Meinung geändert. Denn ich musste 2 Std auf die Lieferung auf das Essen warten und war richtig sauer! Wollte erst garnichts bezahlen oder nur die Hälfte des Preises begleichen. Doch der Lieferant kann da eigentlich nichts dafür und ich hab trotzdem Trinkgeld gegeben. Lecker essen!

Heute zufällig in Jülich gewesen , Und dort mit einem bekannten Spargel Schnitzel und Champion-Rahm Schnitzel gegessen, alles war top , Sauber , preislich top , und super nett Weiter so

Seit 40 Jahren meine liebste "Pommesbude". Antonio und Maria sind superlieb und immer gut drauf. Gyros ist immer top, und bisher gab es hier auch immer das beste Jägerschnitzel der Welt. Leider wurde scheinbar die Jägersauce geändert. Die schmeckt nicht nur nicht, sondern ist genauso ekelhaft wie in jeder 08/15 Pommesbude. Bitte bitte ändert das wieder...

Sehr nette Dame am Telefon,schnelle Lieferung,und vorallem SEHR LECKERE Pizza👍🏼. Sogar die Pommes waren noch knussprig und gold gelb. Bis jetzt TOP 1 für mich in Jülich!

Die Nummer 1 Adresse in Jülich, wenn du ein gutes Gyros essen möchtest. Immer frisch, immer lecker. Auch hier hat zwar die Inflation bei den Preisen zugeschlagen, aber das Essen ist nach wie vor jeden Cent wert. Sonderwünsche werden gerne berücksichtigt (meine Frau mag z.B. keinen Krautsalat zum Gyros). Ich rufe gerne an und bestelle das Essen zum mitnehmen vor. Dabei gibt es immer die perfekt passende Zusage, wann alles fertig ist. So kommt das Essen frisch zuhause an - mit knackigen Pommes und kaltem Salat. Salat und Zaziki werden übrigens nicht zu den Pommes und Fleisch auf den Teller gepackt, sondern in separate Schälchen abgefüllt. Ubrigens: Die Bedienung ist immer freundlich und gut gelaunt, egal wieviel los ist. Das ist das Tüpfelchen auf dem i. Wir freuen uns jedenfalls schon auf die nächste Portion Gyros! 😃

Currywurst war lecker Aber bei den Preisen eher nicht mehr Currywurst pommes majo Cola . Das 2 mal 21,-Euro

letzte donerstag gegessen mit frau und kinder sehr gute gyros pita wirklich gut für preis, nechste monat kommen wir wieder!

Sehr sehr lecker. Relativ teuer, aber die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend und wirklich sehr lecker! Das Gyros war genau richtig, schön kross und dunkel. Die Fritten auch super. Kommen bestimmt wieder!

Sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns ein schnelles Mittagessen geholt. Die Portionen sind wie beim Griechen üblich üppig.

Ich kann die schlechte Bewertung hier überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Sehr nette sympatische Menschen arbeiten dort, als Stammgast wird man immer auf die Schulter geklopft und freundlich begrüßt, so das man sich direkt wohl fühlt. Einen Ouzo bekommt man auch gerne mal ausgegeben. Nur zu empfehlen!

Essen war, Gyros mit Pommes ohne Zwiebeln tzatziki und Salat echt gut.. habe es mir liefern lassen, zwei Straßen weiter weil ich aktuell nicht laufen kann... Rechnung war 15,20 € .. da war ich etwas geschockt .. nochmal zu bestellen kann ich mir nicht leisten. Wie geschrieben, das Essen war 👍

Für mich und meiner Familie gibt es keinen besseren Imbiss in Jülich. Immer leckeres Essen, immer frische Salate einfach top. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und gut gelaunt. Nur schade das der Chef keinen Ford fährt. Macht weiter so!

Haben dort immer lecker gegessen. Leider sind Hunde nicht erlaubt auch hinten auf der Terrasse nicht Also leider keine besuche mehr möglich .....,schade.
