I was at Restaurant 1811 today, and it was a wonderful evening. I enjoyed a delicious four-course meal paired with a ginger ale (total price: €101.65). The food was outstanding—a true feast for the palate—the ambiance was very stylish, and the service was consistently friendly and attentive. I would also like to particularly mention the very pleasant chef. Definitely an experience I can recommend to everyone!

super delicious food in a nice ambience

Today, after a long stroll along Berlin's most famous street, the Kurfürstendamm, I visited Schlüterstraße, one of the countless side streets of this Berlin boulevard, for the first time in a long time! It's a less crowded street, yet boasts an astonishingly diverse mix of excellent specialty shops! There are over 20 different restaurants and cafés, as well as great fashion stores like Mientus, with its elegant selection of men's clothing! There are also shops like the "Fashion Archive" with elegant women's clothing or "British Clothing Berlin" with its elegant displays of men's clothing! My destination today, however, was the restaurant "1811" at Schlüterstraße 55! It's not a giant temple for hungry guests, but rather a place for upscale, traditional dining! This country-style restaurant reopened in 2022 and has a solid clientele who appreciate good food and good wines (including organic!) and unobtrusive, friendly service! I chose from the reduced lunch menu: fish soup, guinea fowl, and for dessert: almond nut cream with torka bean ice cream, accompanied by a cappuccino!!! There was nothing to complain about: the sourdough bread with homemade fluffy butter served before the meal was a delight! The soup was pleasantly seasoned, and the guinea fowl with broccoli was perfect! Dessert was a pleasant change from the monotony of what usually comes to the table, as the tonka beans in the ice cream unfold a wonderful aroma in the mouth! The 1811 is equipped with a not-too-large, manageable dining room! The white-clothed tables with candles provide a nice contrast to the dark wood paneling and the high, light walls with very interesting paintings above the tables! When the weather is nice, there is an outdoor terrace with approximately 20 seats! A visit to remember!!!

Four of us dined at 1811 on September 3, 2025. The food was excellent—from the "Greetings from the Kitchen" to the outstanding dessert. The service was friendly and very attentive. Overall, it was a successful evening; we'd be happy to return.

Fine dining with the ambiance of a historic inn. We were here for our wedding anniversary and were thrilled. The 5-course menu we chose was perfectly balanced and tasted excellent. A la carte is also available, of course. The service was very competent and extremely friendly. The prices are reasonable. We were very satisfied and will be back.

1811 is located at Schlüterstrasse 55, 10629 Berlin. This is a cozy restaurant, offering classic dishes, fish and seafood, and desserts. The atmosphere is very good, and the ambiance is also very nice. I recently drank several beers there and enjoyed a pink veal boiled fillet. Both were delicious. There are many restaurants in Berlin where you can eat very well, some even outstandingly – "1811" is definitely one of them. The menu, the wine selection, the service, the ambiance – all top-notch, yet wonderfully uncomplicated and authentic. Our second visit yesterday absolutely confirmed the remarkable first impression – a true culinary favorite!

Infact we had a planned a different restaurant for the lunch and unfortunately the shop was closed. I am kind of a person who desperately imagines and feel the taste when a place is determined. So this really made me disappoint. We chose 1811 as an alternative. But they surprised us. From food, its presentation, service, atmosphere everything was super great. Star quality at a neighborhood price! I love going to 1811 and it's always top-notch. The schnitzel is amazing. It's not called "Lunch like Mom used to make" for nothing, and it tastes just like that. Superb quality, nothing from a bucket, just freshly cooked and made with love! The price/performance ratio here is really good. You can tell that the people here put their heart and soul into the kitchen. Great menu, delicious food, worth it!

Looking at the website revealed an interesting menu. This didn't even exist on site. It was changed the day before, on the day of the reservation. Despite our advice, the menu was not changed the day after. So you are offered something online that doesn't even exist. Already the first bad impression. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very dark. The dishes are impeccable, lovingly prepared and sufficient in quantity. The service is bad. The cutlery is incomplete and was added to the dishes. There was no fish knife with the fish. Even when asked. However, the pat answer: "The fish is so tender it falls apart on its own. A fish knife is not necessary." So we were given a meat knife. Logical on that Level. We found the wine accompaniment to be inappropriate and one-sided with the dishes. White wine with everything, no sparkling wine with an aperitif and red wine with Wiener Schnitzel. The red wine came very chilled. If there was a complaint or a change request, something else was promptly provided. At the end, the invoice was missing from the envelope. This slipped out but was then printed out... The boss came over and insulted us that we had tried our way through the wine list and should be satisfied. However, we just wanted to give our feedback on what went wrong. When we mentioned how the waitress served us the wines, we were asked to leave and not come back. After all, we have referred to the staff as waiters and if you refer to your staff that way, the owner can do without such guests. Fine. I can't recommend anyone to leave money here.

Culinary class without any airs and graces The small, charming restaurant in Charlottenburg combines classic elegance, tradition (1811) with a warm, almost family atmosphere - you feel welcome without lacking in style. The menu was a delight. Even the greeting from the kitchen was a small taste explosion - a sophisticated start that made you curious for more. The fish soup? A revelation! Intense, finely balanced, every spoonful a little piece of sea on the tongue. For the main course, the pike perch fillet on risotto - perfectly cooked, tender, with a sauce that you would have loved to soak up to the last drop. Plus crunchy vegetables, prepared with feeling. Finally, a small cheese plate with selected varieties that were not just “good” but “just right” – like everything that evening. And the wine was fantastic! The service was consistently attentive, professional and yet pleasantly relaxed. Not stiff fine dining, not over-the-top, but real hospitality at a high level. If you value excellent food in a relaxed, stylish environment, 1811 is the right choice.

We had reserved a table for this evening long in advance, specifically requesting a nice table for a date. The table that was reserved for us was right next to the entrance, at the passage in a corner that was so dark that I had to use the candle to help me choose the food. The bad thing, however, was that the referrer argued with us, which made me very annoyed. The food made up for it and when I paid, the waiter discussed with me again what I had, it would be a great table. And again I was annoyed...even though I left a good three-digit sum in the restaurant. In retrospect, it was completely stupid of me to reward this behavior with a 10% tip...the evening was ruined and was only saved by a nice bar

We had a wonderfully delicious meal: the service was cheerful - friendly - professional - a super delicious aperitif with homemade cassis and sparkling wine - the onsen egg was delicately melty - wonderful!!! The dry-aged meat course is super tender, but also strong in taste - we are thrilled and would love to come back!

What a lovely culinary experience! We “celebrated” my 40th birthday at 1811 for two and had an excellent meal. The pumpkin soup was out of this world, I still dream about the salted lemon risotto and the highlight: a muffin was baked especially for me, which was absolutely delicious. The service (from the chef himself) was extremely friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back, thank you for the wonderful times!

The food was amazingly good and exquisite! They only have German menu but the waiter was very patient and helpful to help with our order. They serve German/ Austrian food, and the cuisine here is extra delicate. We were so happy with our dishes and needed a dessert to wrap up. We got a puff like cake with plum(or apricot? probably) ice cream and topped with cream. It was the best dessert we had in our Berlin trip 10/10

We spent a very nice evening in the restaurant. The food was very good and the service staff was very nice and attentive. The only downside is that the tables are very close together, so you inevitably get very close to the person sitting next to you and I had to be careful not to land my elbow in their wine cooler.

The mushroom soup was good, as was the schnitzel, and the Königsberger meatballs and ice cream weren't great
