Culinary class without any airs and graces The small, charming restaurant in Charlottenburg combines classic elegance, tradition (1811) with a warm, almost family atmosphere - you feel welcome without lacking in style. The menu was a delight. Even the greeting from the kitchen was a small taste explosion - a sophisticated start that made you curious for more. The fish soup? A revelation! Intense, finely balanced, every spoonful a little piece of sea on the tongue. For the main course, the pike perch fillet on risotto - perfectly cooked, tender, with a sauce that you would have loved to soak up to the last drop. Plus crunchy vegetables, prepared with feeling. Finally, a small cheese plate with selected varieties that were not just “good” but “just right” – like everything that evening. And the wine was fantastic! The service was consistently attentive, professional and yet pleasantly relaxed. Not stiff fine dining, not over-the-top, but real hospitality at a high level. If you value excellent food in a relaxed, stylish environment, 1811 is the right choice.

We spent a very nice evening there with wonderful food. The service at 1811 is very good, attentive and reserved, just as you would expect. I can only recommend the restaurant, but make a reservation in advance as it is small and cozy.

Great food, service and overall great restaurant.

We had reserved a table for this evening long in advance, specifically requesting a nice table for a date. The table that was reserved for us was right next to the entrance, at the passage in a corner that was so dark that I had to use the candle to help me choose the food. The bad thing, however, was that the referrer argued with us, which made me very annoyed. The food made up for it and when I paid, the waiter discussed with me again what I had, it would be a great table. And again I was annoyed...even though I left a good three-digit sum in the restaurant. In retrospect, it was completely stupid of me to reward this behavior with a 10% tip...the evening was ruined and was only saved by a nice bar

A great restaurant of the upscale inn type. The focus here is on German-Austrian cuisine. The rooms are historic. Everything tasted great. Next time I would like to try the menu too.

We had a wonderfully delicious meal: the service was cheerful - friendly - professional - a super delicious aperitif with homemade cassis and sparkling wine - the onsen egg was delicately melty - wonderful!!! The dry-aged meat course is super tender, but also strong in taste - we are thrilled and would love to come back!

Nice traditional German restaurant sprinkled with some Mediterranean influence. We spend a hole evening with friends and had a very nice service and atmosphere with great food. Totally recommend!

The food is very tasty, good portions (not too small), the service is extremely friendly and authentic, we felt very comfortable. The audience tended to be older and we reduced the age group significantly to 30. But we would love to come back to this beautiful atmosphere

What a lovely culinary experience! We “celebrated” my 40th birthday at 1811 for two and had an excellent meal. The pumpkin soup was out of this world, I still dream about the salted lemon risotto and the highlight: a muffin was baked especially for me, which was absolutely delicious. The service (from the chef himself) was extremely friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back, thank you for the wonderful times!

The food was amazingly good and exquisite! They only have German menu but the waiter was very patient and helpful to help with our order. They serve German/ Austrian food, and the cuisine here is extra delicate. We were so happy with our dishes and needed a dessert to wrap up. We got a puff like cake with plum(or apricot? probably) ice cream and topped with cream. It was the best dessert we had in our Berlin trip 10/10

We spent a very nice evening in the restaurant. The food was very good and the service staff was very nice and attentive. The only downside is that the tables are very close together, so you inevitably get very close to the person sitting next to you and I had to be careful not to land my elbow in their wine cooler.

The mushroom soup was good, as was the schnitzel, and the Königsberger meatballs and ice cream weren't great

Tasty food, great service, highly recommended. Best Weiner schnitzel outside of Austria. We ordered the burrata and pumpkin salad for starter and the schnitzel and monkfish for mains. Sadly too full for dessert. Would come back!

We booked a four-course Christmas menu for our team. The evening was a complete success, because everything was perfect, from the super friendly service team to the delicious food (even for the vegetarians among us) and delicious wines. I was expecting good home cooking, but I was completely blown away after the starter, which only solidified with the main course and dessert. The food was great and was a lot of fun. The ambience was actually nice, but you were almost sitting on your neighbors' laps. Ok, the restaurant is quite small, so the tightness is perhaps forgivable.

This is a complete delight - the food, the atmosphere and the owner who loves his job. This is the third time here. And I'll come again.

In this restaurant you will be very well received by the service. They are very likeable and have a lot of humor. The staff is also willing to offer you other side dishes that are otherwise on the menu. The food is very, very tasty, even if it is a little more expensive than usual, it is definitely worth stopping by.

I've been to Restaurant 1811 a few times and am always impressed by the food. It's simply fantastic here, especially at goose eating time! The service is always on point and the staff is extremely accommodating, even if you have special requests. The atmosphere is very cozy and invites you to linger. Absolutely recommended!

Great food creations, unusual and very tasty. High-class cuisine at normal prices, excellent wines. The best thing: friendly service and the chef comes to the guests and gets feedback. Simply great! It was a nice visit, but really nothing special for the price. For the main course, I would have liked someone to ask me how I would like my meat prepared, which unfortunately wasn't the case. The waiter was very friendly, but the atmosphere is unfortunately unappealing and too conservative.

If you would like to eat at a star level but don't want to pay the full price for it, then this is the place for you! Excellent regional dishes, brought to the plate with a certain pep. We had the 6-course menu, which was very varied, always to the point and always had a special touch. A lot of loving handwork with exquisite reduced sauces, jus, low-temperature slow food, just really good! Coupled with excellent host qualities, humorous, quick, discreet, not forced. The best kept secret of fine dining in Berlin. It is a small restaurant with excellent service and the food is amazing. I recommend you go there on a Thursday night so you can have their special promotion of trying a 3 meal course on a very reasonable price. It simply fantastic.. must place if you love food.

We celebrated our anniversary at this wonderful restaurant in West Berlin, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance is lovely, and it undoubtedly offers one of the best service experiences we've had in Berlin. The food is of top quality, featuring delicious Mediterranean cuisine. While it is on the pricier side, the use of an Amex voucher made it more affordable. The wine selection is also excellent. Highly recommended for a special occasion!

We had made reservations several weeks in advance to invest the Amex restaurant credit there on our wedding day. With a week's notice, our reservation was canceled simply due to a "technical error". I don't understand why this can happen in the context of such a fully integrated solution and I therefore assume that they simply wanted to prefer a regular guest.

Very friendly and courteous service. The food involves some daring combinations, but they are very harmonious. The ambience invites you to linger, even if it can get quite hot inside in summer. All in all, I can only recommend the 1811.

On the occasion of my wife's birthday, we visited 1811, which welcomed us with its stylish, modern ambience and an open show kitchen. Our evening began with a charming amuse gueule, followed by homemade pesto and tomato paste. Another course consisted of exquisite eagle fish, after which we enjoyed a vegetable parfait with pork cheek. Before dessert, another highlight was guinea fowl, which was equally excellent. To top it all off, we were served a rhubarb soufflé. Each course was accompanied by a matching wine that perfectly complemented the flavors. The service was consistently very courteous, our waitress responded to all requests, and the view of the kitchen offered a fascinating experience. A lovingly arranged bouquet of flowers for the birthday child rounded off the evening. Despite the high price, the value for money was totally justified based on the quality of the food and the overall experience. The soft background music gave the evening an additional touch of elegance. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that thrilled us all.

This will probably be my favorite restaurant. A young group that presents its work with enthusiasm and joy. Cares for the guests in a loving and humorous manner, but without being clumsy, advises, explains and recommends. Traditional dishes are innovatively and cleverly interpreted and taste of the finest. From the bread to the cantuccini with espresso, everything is homemade. The atmosphere is chic and yet cozy. I have to go back there. Thank you for the lovely evening, good luck and see you soon. Inconspicuous from the outside, cozy from the inside and simply great on the plates... and now I almost forgot to mention the loving and great service.

Overall, the food was very good, only the fish left something to be desired. My family's comment on this was "very good and not great for the rest of the guests" 😁

Lovely intimate little restaurant in Charlottenburg with a charming atmosphere that feels just as warm and welcoming as the service. The candlelight, crisp white tablecloths and dark wooden paneling added a simple modern touch to this traditional German country inn. I also appreciated that they asked if we had any allergies beforehand. We loved their fresh interpretation of the 'Deutsche Küche,' and particularly enjoyed their wine pairings. Everything was homemade - from the sourdough bread to the sorbet. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend :)

The ambience was very dignified, small but impressive, you could say that the service was completely impeccable. I'm definitely not a gourmet, so I can only judge the quality of the food to a very limited extent. The boiled beef that I ordered didn't remind me in any way of the one I knew from previous "encounters". In principle, that shouldn't be viewed negatively, but rather just described as unusual. Maybe the term on the memory card is misleading or I don't have the culinary knowledge to make a competent assessment.

I decided on the 6-course menu with a friend. We were greeted extremely warmly by the boss personally and the menu was great. Although the 1811 also suffers from a lack of staff, there was no sign of this. The rather high price didn't detract from the lovely evening.
