Everything was nicely presented and the portions were completely sufficient (one side dish is enough). An extensive selection of wines is offered and we ensure that you as a guest feel in good hands. By far the best schnitzel I've ever eaten! Lutter & Wegner is a true gem among the restaurants in Leipzig! The atmosphere is inviting and cozy – a perfect place to meet up with friends or family. The food was consistently delicious, but the absolute highlight was definitely the veal Wienerschnitzel. It was tender, perfectly breaded and tasted heavenly. I chose the Pinot Gris Brunhilde and it was the perfect choice! The wine harmonized wonderfully with the schnitzel and rounded off the entire taste experience. A really successful evening that I can only recommend! The terrace looked very old fashioned and beautiful!

Service staff neither motivated nor attentive. Drink and eat yourself behind the counter instead of taking the guests' orders. The service was topped by the inedible steak! Meat already smelled obnoxious when it was served. But couldn't taste it right away because the cutlery was still missing. It was brought to me about 2 minutes later. The nose didn't deceive me, the meat was inedible! Had to return the food. No compensation offered. The waitress even wanted a tip. Lutter & Wegner, never again

We took this evening with humor, so it was bearable. I associate the name Luttter&Wegner with tradition and service. It is all the more surprising that there are a dozen service staff. One waitress has a white blouse that is too tight and white sneakers and the other waitress has black boots that are too big. Both were united by their black bra and their lack of knowledge of gastronomy. The latter is of course much heavier for a restaurant like this. Even the waiter couldn't save it. You couldn't even see how the plates or trays were being carried. For the starter, there was tartare, we had to ask for salt and pepper. Given the prices, I expect this to be done automatically. For the main course we were wished we had a good appetite, but it's a shame that we weren't given any cutlery. There were three waiters at the table and none of them knew what had just happened. In the end, no one came because of the shock. The menu is totally tattered and worn out. There was no drink service at all. With a little skill you could sell a lot more. Conclusion: terrible service, kitchen so-so, ambience quite outdated - price/performance is not there.

We ate very well relatively spontaneously: Wiener Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn for dessert, which is freshly prepared and therefore may take a little longer. The staff was very friendly and helped us to have a lovely evening in a relaxed atmosphere.

Excellent, very good service, and great food

Just not good, or rather... bad. Tafelspitz served with potatoes peeled by the supplier "not even peeled by ourselves" and vegetable strips from the freezer... for the price, we expected something different, it's a shame about the animals that died for it and wasn't even prepared respectfully . The advertised “best Wiener Schnitzel outside of Vienna” cannot be found here. Great atmosphere, pleasant service, but high prices. The espresso is more of a coffee, in taste and quantity - it should be off the menu immediately. The Lutter&Wegner sparkling wine is surprising, and the cigar selection is more visual than serious.

Nice restaurant where you feel comfortable. The service was good. We had real Wiener Schnitzel - it was very good and probably as mentioned on the menu: according to the NY Times the best schnitzel outside of Vienna.

Von draußen sieht es vornehmen aus. Wein Sauvignon Blanc war OK Essen: Zander sehr heiß und sehr salzig, Spinat langweilig und auch sehr heiß und die Hammer waren die Kartoffeln ohne Geschmack, nicht frisch, weiße Farbe . Der Kellner spricht zu laut und nicht ehrlich freundlich.

Wir waren schon mehrfach im Lutter & Wegner. Zauberhafter Service, auch für Kinder. Essen schmeckt immer. Wir fühlen uns dort sehr wohl!

I have never eaten such bad roast goose and duck. Everything was old and dry, the staff was wearing a suit that was probably from a container and the gentleman also had dirty fingernails. My conclusion for the entire gastronomy in this totally over-hyped city! Worst gastronomy in this Germany. Leipzig impresses with the worst gastronomy.

Nice restaurant, very nice atmosphere!

Unfortunately, we can only agree with the negative reviews. The service is friendly but inattentive, forgetful and didn't even manage to coordinate 2 starters and 4 mains. We first received the main courses. When we pointed out to the staff that we had ordered appetizers, everything went back to the kitchen. 2 minutes later the main courses were brought back. We were informed that the starter was out. However, our neighboring table received the tartare shortly afterwards, even though the guests came later and ordered after us. The food was tasty, but not really warm. The prices are not justified. You can eat much better in Leipzig!

Unfortunately our expectations were not met. The food, ambience and completely overpriced drinks as well as the lack of politeness from the staff didn't make you want to visit this restaurant again.

We were guests in the restaurant with great expectations, on the recommendation of friends from Leipzig! Unfortunately, most of these were not fulfilled! We had tartare as a starter, including a variety of bread, which only consisted of white bread! However, there was nothing wrong with the tartare, except that the portion of it in the starter was the same as the main course, but apart from the price it didn't take away from the quantity! What wasn't okay at all was that our relatives had that as the main course and the bread was only served after asking several times, but again no variation, as stated on the menu! The absolute disappointment was the highly praised Wiener Schnitzel, which was pounded too thin, very dry and absolutely tasteless! I love it and have eaten it dozens of times in various restaurants, but never so bad! My wife's rib eye steak was also requested medium and came to the table dry and dead, very thin and also completely tasteless! The plates were in front of us until we left the restaurant, and some of the staff seemed overwhelmed! Unfortunately there is no children's meal on the menu either! My conclusion: More appearances than... or as my grandpa always used to say: Lots of wind and no sails! One visit was enough, things can be done much better in Leipzig!

Richtig tolles Restaurant. Man kann gemütlich in der kleinen Lounge Zigarren genießen und auch ganz fantastisch essen. Die Räumlichkeiten sind ansprechend eingerichtet. Service und Speisen sind top.

Service gut, Essen und Preis-Leistung Flop. Wenn das Kalbsschnitzel von der New York Times empfohlen wird, haben die noch kein richtig gutes gegessen. War sehr fettig und die Panade nicht luftig. Beim Kalbsgulasch waren einige Fleischstücke mit ordentlich Fettschwarte dran und der Geschmack war guter Durchschnitt. Das darf für solche Preise nicht passieren. Preis für eine große Wasserflasche 9,50€, das ist wirklich Wucher.

Klassisch ... was man beim Österreicher auf der Karte erwartet, findet man hier. Das Essen war von sehr guter Qualität. Der Hauswein prima. Man sitzt stilvoll am weiß eingedeckt Tisch und wird mit Wienerschmäh bedient. ... sehr schön. Uns hat's gefallen.

Mein Mann und ich kannten das Restaurant noch nicht obwohl wir beide schon lange in Leipzig leben. Das Ambient ist großartig und für uns etwas gehoben. Wir hatten den Kalbsgulasch und das Pilzrisotto. Beides war umwerfend (auch wenn es gerne etwas heißer sein hätte können). Den Wein auf dem Foto kann ich allen empfehlen die es etwas mild, fruchtig und lieblich haben möchten. Obwohl er nur als halbtrocken ausgeschrieben ist. Einfach spitze. Am besten fanden wir den Service. Unser Kellner war einfach grandios. Alles in allem - einfach perfekt.

Fleisch dünn und trocken, Panade ohne Geschmack, Tiefkühlware auf den Millimeter zur Tellergrösse gewalzt ! Volle Blamage vor meinen Gästen. Positiv, tolles Personal ! Tolle Ambiente. Andere Speisen kann ich nicht beurteilen. Ich werde es auch mit Gästen zukünftig nicht mehr besuchen …

Fantastisch. In Deutschland erlebt man selten so einen Service wie bei diesem Lokal. Das 2-Herren Gespann, welches wir in diesem Lokal kennengelernt haben und immer das Gefühl von Luxus und Gastfreundlichkeit hinterlässt ist einfach großartig. Danke hier auch an Tirol für den großartigen Export ;)

Meine Begleitung und ich waren dank plötzlicher Regenschauer spontan eingekehrt und hatten uns als Vegetarierinnen nicht viel erwartet. Wir wurden mehr als nur positiv überrascht. Die Auswahl ist mehr als ausreichend - und vor allem richtig lecker.

Es sollte nur ein Dessert werden TBA und Käseplatte. Nach dem Dessert kam ein/zwei gemischter Satz danach Pfifferlinge mit Knödel dazu ein Chardonnay. Einfach ausgezeichnet. Gehobene Preise, aber jeden Cent (Preis)wert.

Wer das Lutter&Wegner in Berlin kennt, weiß was man erwarten kann. Es ist sehr klassisch und dennoch immer wieder gut. Das Personal ist sehr gut geschult und immer freundlich. Das Essen ist von sehr guter Qualität. Die Weine sind super lecker. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier her. Im Aussenbereich sollte man nur die Schirme mal erneuern, die sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen und die Stühle sollte man um Kissen ergänzen, damit man auch im Sommerkleid bequem sitzen kann.

Wir hatten hier einen zauberhaften Abend mit grandiosem Essen. Am meisten überzeugt hat uns aber der familiäre und professionelle Service. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Der Service ist sehr freundlich und es ist eine unglaublich schöne Umgebung, eine super Stimmung noch dazu.

Ich kann mich den positiven Kommentaren nur anschließen. Als Wien- und Leipzig-Kenner kann ich dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen. Ich war bisher mindestens viermal zu Gast und wurde nie enttäuscht. Neben der authentisch österreichischen Speisekarte, weiß vor allem die Weinauswahl zu überzeugen. Der Service ist kompetent, zügig und von liebenswürdiger Freundlichkeit. Es ist gehobene Gastronomie. Aber keine Abgehobene. Allen anspruchsvollen Touristen empfehle ich Lutter & Wegener, denn in Leipzig gibt es in dieser Qualität kaum Alternativen. Vor allem, wenn man einen guten Wein zu schätzen weiß. Und ja, das Schnitzel war vorzüglich. SO muss ein Wiener Schnitzel sein: Schön dünn und mit welliger Panade.

Nach dem Tipp eines Antiquars haben wir das Restaurant Lutter& Wegner aufgesucht. Empfohlen wurde das Wiener Schnitzel. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Ich habe das Wiener Schnitzel bestellt. Das Schnitzel war riesig und sehr lecker. Siehe Foto. Ich kann das Wiener Schnitzel weiterempfehlen. Preis -Leistung passt.

Angenehme Atmosphäre, gutes Essen zu vertretbaren Preisen.

Fast wäre es an diesem regnerischen Abend Pizza geworden - aber wir haben uns, als wir davor standen, spontan für L&W entschieden. Tatsächlich die beste Entscheidung des Abends: Von der süffigen Erdbeerbowle über die Spargelsuppe bis hin zum Backhendl und mehr war alles hervorragend, und der Service sehr aufmerksam. Dazu dann noch 2 Flaschen vom Lieblingschampagner zum extrem fairen Preis abgestaubt - sehr viel besser hätte der Abend nicht ablaufen können. Wer ein bisserl was mit Stil und Herz sucht, wird hier glücklich. Wir kommen wieder - und bringen Verstärkung mit.

Das mit Abstand beste Restaurant Leipzigs. Das Essen, der Wein, die Bedienung… da kommt man aus dem Schwärmen nicht mehr heraus. Probieren Sie den Sauerbraten und vertrauen Sie den Empfehlungen des Kellners. 6/5 Sternen und probieren Sie es selbst.

Spontaner Besuch, den wir bei gutem Essen und überdurchschnittlichem (!) Service voll und ganz genossen haben. Beim nächsten Leipzigbesuch gerne wieder!

Das Wiener Schnitzel war wie erwartet sehr gut - für mich aber viel zu groß. Alle Beilagen, auch die Preiselbeeren und das Stückchen Butter zum Brot, wurden extra berechnet. Netter Service- aber auch sehr teuer. Das sehr große Restaurant war fast leer ( nur drei oder vier Tische besetzt).
