Delicious. Fresh. I don't speak German and found the staff very friendly and attentive. It has a small shop charm with excellent food.

Four of us dined there on a Saturday evening. It's a very nice, authentic restaurant. We had a reservation and received a very friendly and accommodating welcome. The two of us each had the seafood platter. It included absolutely delicious and tender calamari rings, a breaded fish fillet, fried sardines, grilled shrimp, and fried potato slices. A marinated salad and two dips, one aioli and one with tomato, both very good. The platter was simply fantastic, and we were very full. After the meal, we each even received a free espresso. The service there is truly very friendly and accommodating. With a drink each, the price was unbeatable! We only paid €46. We will definitely eat there again.

Today I was there for dinner with a friend for the first time and I don't regret having visited the small, tranquil restaurant earlier. Once upon a time, the food was delicious, the portion was generous and the fish was grilled to perfection. The prices were very convincing! We each had grilled salmon and prawns and both dishes only cost €14.90. Absolutely equivalent dishes cost from €20 in the Vivarium or Delfino. The two conditions were absolutely friendly, fast and attentive.

Bisher konnten wir immer sehr spontan kommen. Mittlerweile gibt es nur noch, WENN MAN ÜBERHAUPT GLÜCK HAT, die Katzentische (so mittendrin im Gang). Aber der Fisch und der Service sind unverändert gut. Also unbedingt reservieren, auch zu Zeiten, an denen man gar nicht erwartet, dass jemand noch essen geht. Ich habe mich mal an die Kalamaris-Ringe getraut. Und es waren keine Dichtungsringe, die man sie aus der Tiefkühltruhe vom Supermarkt kennt. Richtig lecker.

While visiting Formnext 2024, we found Luis Seafood after researching on Google. No review can reflect what we received in terms of hospitality and diversity. Thank you very much again. We didn't need any research on the second day and neither did we on our next visit to Darmstadt.

Zunächst das Wichtigste: Die zwei Herren, die bedienen sind die Freundlichkeit in Person. Es macht Spaß, zuzusehen, mit welcher Leidenschaft und Aufmerksamkeit sie ihre Gäste bedienen. Kommen wir zum größten Nachteil: das kleine Restaurant. Samstags kurz nach 12 und fast alles schon besetzt. Man merkt, dass es gut sein muss. Viele Senioren, die anscheinend wissen, wo man ein besseres Preis-Leistungs-Angebot bekommt, als bei mancher Fischrestaurant-Kette. Der Fisch: alles angeordnet wie in einer Fischtheke eines Fischhändlers. Man guckt nach dem, was einem ins Auge springt und das bestellt man am Besten. Entweder gegrillt und auch manche Fischsorten gebacken. Der Backteig ist sehr gut, weil er schön aufgeht und man gegenüber dem gegrillten Fisch denkt, dass man doppelt soviel bekommt. Aber dann ist die Luft raus. Kommen wir jetzt zu dem Manko: ich würde mir sehr wünschen, dass man gefragt wird, welche Soße man will. Manche bekommen Remoulade und manche eben die rote Sauce. Mit dem panierten Fisch ist vielleicht Remoulade die bessere Wahl. Die Bratkartoffeln sind nur die TK-Chips, die in der Fritteuse aufgebacken sind. Ich mag sie. Sie sind auch lecker. Nur als Bratkartoffeln würde ich sie nicht bezeichnen. Schade auch: der Salat sieht leider nach Fertigmischung aus. Aber wie gesagt: ich gehe wegen des Fisches dahin und der ist wirklich erstklassig. Deswegen auch die 5*.

A few months ago we had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant with my 3 year old daughter and the service and food were wonderful! I forgot cash, but that didn't stop the nice gentlemen from serving us food (we came back with the money, of course). We can only recommend it!

We were there after 2 hours on a working day. We ordered fish soup and fried calamari with fried potatoes. The food was very tasty, especially the fried potato slices. The salad was well dressed and with our meal we both had a bowl of olives marinated in herbs and oil. I like the atmosphere in the restaurant, the blue tiles are reminiscent of North Africa or Portugal. After dinner I drank my very first afogado (espresso with vanilla ice cream). I have no comparison: this was a great dessert. We've been to Luis at peak times before and it was too crowded and too loud for us. But this visit was perfect.

We ordered a fish platter for two and a chocolate souffle with vanilla ice cream and we really loved the food, but it pains my heart that chilled white wine was not available to combine with the fresh, well prepared fish to make it a perfect birthday dinner. The selection of beverages is mostly sugary drinks, schorles and lemonades, and even the water is bottled. I don't know the reasons behind not serving alcoholic beverages, but a fish needs to swim. We could have spent some 20-30 EUR more on a good Riesling, but we had to go do that elsewhere after the delicious dinner, which is sad, because Luis' seafood has a great ambience remininding one of a seaside bistro, and we would have loved to stay longer.

August 24, finally Luis again! Fresh baby calamari and hake. We are looking forward to it 👻 Hake and baby calamari, it couldn't be fresher or tastier. By the way, I think I saw Luis... Stay tuned! Was here for the first time today, uncomplicated, friendly, and you immediately feel welcome. Sea bass with salad, delicious potato slices and the special request to serve baby and calamari fried were immediately accepted. Everything freshly prepared and served quickly. Topped with a chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream and espresso. We'd love to come back!

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Wir haben vier unterschiedliche Gerichte bestellt und alle haben frisch, saftig und wirklich sehr lecker geschmeckt. Die Bestellung tätigt man an der Theke und das Essen bekommt man serviert. Nette Kellner und ein muss wenn man leckeren Fisch/Meeresfrüchte in Darmstadt essen möchte. Wärmstens weiter zu empfehlen. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis passt aufjedenfall. Man bekommt schließlich auch gutes Essen serviert.

There is no alcohol, and bottled drinks cost 3 euros. I had a platter for 2 people. The fish is soft and juicy and the fried squid is crispy. It's so delicious. The staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend it.

Der Service war leider nicht gut. Man muss seine Getränke selbst holen, muss an den Tresen bestellen und all das sagt einer einem nicht und man wartet unnötig. Das Essen wird fast kalt serviert. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich, erst mal nicht schlimm, allerdings kein Hinweis deswegen vorhanden.

- Langewartezeit auf Tisch trotz Reservierung - Lange Wartezeit aufs Essen - Mangelhaftes Essen zu überhöhten Preisen - Unfreundliches Personal Wir waren zu zweit zum Abendessen im Restaurant. Wir hatten eine Reservierung und warteten an der Tür darauf unserem Platz zugewiesen zu bekommen. Doch als der erste Kellner auf uns zu kam hörten wir kein "Hallo", sondern lediglich, dass wir weg gehen sollte, da wir im Weg stünden. Nachdem ich erklärte, dass wir eine Reservierung hätten, mussten wir nach einer kurzen Diskussion knapp 15 Minuten auf einen Tisch warten. Nachdem wir endlich Platz genommen hatten, haben wir die Fischplatte für zwei Personen bestellt. Allerdings mussten wir knapp 40 Minuten auf diese warten, während Leute welche nach uns bestellten genau die gleiche Fischplatte deutlich früher erhielten. Weshalb unser Essen länger dauere konnte uns die Bedienung nicht erklären. Grade als wir vorzeitig gehen wollten wurde die Platte gebracht. Das Essen sah auf den ersten Blick sehr gut aus, allerdings wurden wir schnell enttäuscht. Der Fisch war äußerst klein und mit wenig Geschmack. Die Sardinen waren extrem trocken, wie ich es nur von altem Fisch kenne. Einzig die frittierten Calamari haben wirklich gut geschmeckt. Aber 34 Euro für eine solche Platte sind einfach viel zu viel bei der mangelnden Qualität. Man könnte die Qualität des Essens noch halbwegs verzeihen, wenn der Service entsprechend dafür kompensieren würde. Allerdings scheint das Servicepersonal ungeschult zu sein und ist nicht besonders freundlich, weder zur Kundschaft noch untereinander. Aber nicht verwunderlich, wenn man sieht wie der Chef mit den Mitarbeitern umgeht. Einzig der junge Mitarbeiter, welcher die Bestellungen aufnimmt, war nett zur Kundschaft und schien sich wirklich um uns bzw. die Kundschaft zu kümmern. Es war unser erstes und letztes mal in diesem Restaurant. Leider, denn essen gerne guten Fisch, doch den sucht man hier wohl vergebens.

Das beste Seafood Restaurant das ich kenne. Eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants überhaupt. Etwas unscheinbar von der Lage und vom Ambiente aber der Geschmack ist top, Service sehr freundlich und der Preis völlig ok. Man merkt dass viel Liebe in dem Restaurant steckt.

Gleich zu Beginn: "Das erste Mal seit langem, dass ich nicht nachwürzen wollte." Finde ich super. Mittelgroße Auswahl an Fischen und Meeresfrüchten in der Kühltheke zum aussuchen. Für mich heute zu viel zum Entscheiden. Habe dann gegrillten Seehecht und ein paar Garnelen dazu genommen. Flexibilität unabhängig von der Karte. Das ist selten, vor allem bei dem dann berechneten Preis. Bestellt wird an der Theke, das Essen wird serviert. Getränke wählt man sich aus den Kühlschränken aus, nur alkoholfreie. Ein Schälchen Oliven in Kräutern gab es vorweg. Zum Fisch dann Salat und knackige Bratkartoffelchips, Zitrone, ein Schälchen Remoulade und ein Schälchen kalte Tomatensauce. Weißbrot als Extra. Die Garnelen lagen auf einem Bett von gegrilltem Gemüse, Der Seehecht auf den Punkt gegrillt. Nichts war fettig, weder Bratkartoffeln noch Gemüse, der Seehecht sowieso nicht. Der Espresso zum Schluss war ein echter Espresso, kein kleiner Kaffee. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, fix und angenehm unaufdringlich. Die Einrichtung ist dem Angebot angepasst. Nicht mein Ding. Doch das heißt ja nichts. Wohlgefühlt habe ich mich jedenfalls. Und... ich gehe bestimmt wieder hin und genieße guten Fisch für angemessenen Preis. Ach ja, keine Kartenzahlung für uns Plastikkartenliebhaber. 🙂

Mein Besuch bei Luis Seafood war ein echter Gaumenschmaus. Das freundliche Personal und das stimmungsvolle Ambiente schufen eine einladende Atmosphäre. Das Beste daran war die Möglichkeit, sich günstig satt zu essen, ohne Kompromisse bei der Qualität einzugehen. Großzügige Portionen und köstlich zubereitetes Essen machten den Besuch zu einem wunderbaren Erlebnis. Luis Seafood ist definitiv einen Besuch wert.
