Luicella's Ice Cream Schanze in Hamburg

After a first visit to the Schanze branch, I was surprisingly able to experience different standards than in the Lange Reihe branch. Some varieties were closed with a lid, many other varieties were empty. I had difficulty finding an alternative variety. I was also not offered a waffle when I asked, and that was 15 minutes before closing time. Too bad. As always, the ice cream was very tasty, but next time it will be in the long row.

Ice cream shop with good vegan options. We arrived at closing time, so they were cleaning up and some flavors were no longer available or usable, as they were already ready for the next day. In any case we were welcomed and served.

Mega! I drank a vanilla milkshake! This was by far the hottest milk shake I've ever had! Really vanilla!!

The ice cream was delicious, but I used a rather sour flavor (raspberry). I and my companion didn't tolerate that very well. Unfortunately I have to say that the service was not good. The waitress was very grumpy and appeared to be in a very bad mood. Great for a quick scoop of ice cream when you're nearby anyway. I wouldn't go there specifically.

Horribly rude staff, I went for the first time to inquire about their ice cream, and when they entered the store, there was nobody so when she finished explaining she asked me to go to the end of the line to order your ice cream, which was absolutely and terrible customer service I just Left the store disappointed

Not cheap at 2.40 per scoop but the ice cream is worth the price. The Franzbrötchen variety in particular was a dream. Thanks again to the nice employee who gave us the tip. Thanks again for letting us try another variety. This is how great service works. Many people could learn a lesson from this. Therefore, stay as you are. It's just a shame that you can't buy the ice cream everywhere. 😕 A branch in Frankfurt or Leipzig would be really good. Maybe something like that will be possible soon. 😊

Best ice cream in town. Luicella’s really does have the best ice cream in town. There are not just standard varieties here, but also unusual ones. But everything is delicious. And on top of that there is always a spoon with a sample portion. The employees are very nice and patient when you can't decide.

Wow! I have never tasted such delicious vegan ice cream. The combination of varieties is awesome!! I can especially recommend pistachio chocolate crumbles and avocado lime blueberry sauce. Price wise at €2.40 per ball it's quite an announcement, but it's absolutely worth it

The lady held the waffle corn without wrapping anything and touching directly with her hand. She was of course handling cash etc without disinfection. I found it's absolutely not good hygiene and felt uncomfortable eating the product. I wanted a replacement or refund but the shop was quite busy so I gave up asking. As it's a company and chain, I contacted the customer service. Their answer is basically, if you are worried, buy with a cup. I'm quite disappointed by their attitude as I don't feel they are receiving customer feedback sincerely and professionally.

The ice cream is quite an experience. When we are in Hamburg we have to go to Luicella's. There is little seating, but somehow you can always find a place to enjoy the delicious ice cream.

The ice cream really tastes extremely good. You can taste the natural ingredients straight away... The price is hefty but to be honest, normal ice cream costs €1.60 - €1.80 so honestly the price is worth it. I tested hazelnut, French rolls and vanilla, which was really the best ice cream I've ever eaten.

We saw the ice cream parlor by chance during our visit to Hamburg. Since unfortunately we had to move on that day, we decided to walk by the day after to get some ice cream. A round in the ski jump is highly recommended anyway ;) Good (but not excessive!) selection of varieties. The ice cream has a good color - which makes you believe in the “100% natural” sign - and a very good, creamy consistency! I have never eaten such delicious ice cream so often outside of Italy. The ball costs €2.40, but for the size and quality you really can't complain. You get a fairly large variety “to try out”, which I also found very nice. Plus point for the very large selection of vegan varieties, which were very tasty and had a very - not always easy to find - good creamy consistency. The staff was really nice.

Similar to any Luicella’s shop, taste is perfect at this store too. Staff was also very kind and friendly.

The price really put me off. I think it doesn't matter what. The main thing is unusual ice cream flavors and definitely popular as there are many guests in front and behind me. That says something. And under review Markus added about the high price. You definitely have to read this. This is the same as discount and organic goods (but not from discount stores). Either you take €8 from poor husbandry or €15 from the farm. I would go there again with children, so whatever the cost. Everyone can decide for themselves.

Deserved 5 stars. 2 € a ball, but they are a reasonable size and you can choose a small topping on top. Is ice cream delicious and creamy?

Fifteen minutes before closing time on Saturday evening, the Gen Z representative was no longer in the mood for 4 customers + child. Short-winded answers, the sample dabs that have been common for years were only given to one person and only upon explicit request. We had to ask twice for stamps for the trading card because the first time she simply ran to the back and ignored us when she returned. We then had to briefly discuss the number. The request for a broken waffle to go with the cup was answered by pointing to a lost glass on the edge of the counter, into which one was allowed to stick one's fingers in a completely unhygienic way, because there were no tongs anywhere and the lady apparently had no interest in the customer's request. I've never experienced Luciella's so bad. Whether it's an unfortunate choice of personnel or an employer who is too thinly staffed in the fall... no matter what, in the end the usual dedication is missing. I hope this is not the beginning of the decline of a chain that has let success go to its head.

Ein nettes, kleines Eisgeschäft mit großer Sortenauswahl (Milcheis und vegan). Das Eis ist unglaublich lecker! ;) Nur einen Verbesserungsvorschlag hätte ich: Vielleicht schreibt ihr bei den veganen Sorten hin, ob da auch Soja verarbeitet wurde oder nicht, dann muss man nicht extra fragen. Leider konnte mir die junge Dame hinter der Theke keine 100% sichere Auskunft dazu geben.

Lady working super nice, asked me if I spoke any of 3 languages. Had one small flavor, and then offered me an extra scoop for free! Recommended me that extra flavor and it was delicious! The quality and flavor were yummy and liked the coolness of the space!

Nur eine von den beiden schmalen Doppeltüren als Ein- und Ausgang offen - Zum auf die Füße treten... Das Eis war fast flüssig und entsprechend klein weil "Kugeln" so eben kaum möglich. Service vermutlich von langer Schicht eher genervt als freundlich, dafür sehr schnell. Lieber zur Osterstr. oder Grindel!

Very tasty ice cream shop, I believe they are a chain shop. There are sufficient choices of creative flavors. They even have Franzibrötchen ice cream, which sounds very local. Nice service, friendly staffs and you can try one flavor before making your decision. €2,4 each Kugel is not cheap, but the ice cream is tasty and portion is decent!

Closes late at night so that’s very nice. I’m reading reviews saying it’s expensive, but prices are the same than in Paris so I was not surprised. I would even add that they are generous as they add a small coop of a flavour you’d like to try!

Das Eis ist etwas teurer als eine „normale“ Kugel Eis aber qualitativ und die Größe von der Kugel ist unschlagbar! Zusätzlich bekommt man eine halbe Kugel Eis zum probieren immer gratis dazu. Die Kugeln sind teilweise sehr ausgefallen und das Prinzip mit der Probierkugel ist einfach genial um diese Sorten zu probieren. Der Laden hat heute leider sehr unangenehm gestunken (erinnerte uns an einem Dixi Klo).

Sehr umständliche aber immerhin freundliche Bedienung, doch geschmacklich leider auch nicht auf ganzer Linie überzeugend. Zugegeben: die Qualität ist einwandfrei und die Sortenauswahl ist auch spannend aber die Sorten Vanille und Pistazie waren eher mittelmäßig. Sorry.

Vegan flavours unlike I have ever seen! I had marzipan poppyseed, coconut blackberry, & a tiny bit of avocado on top—which was very cute. So, so yummy.

Ich habe mich nur mit den Klassikern, wie Vanille und Schokolade begnügt. Die waren qualitativ sehr gut. Die Preise sind mit 2,40 € für eine Kugel schon sehr, sehr hoch. Sonst wäre die Warteschlange sicher auch sehr viel länger 🤔

Leckeres Eis aber sehr hochpreisig. Die Sorte weiße Schokolade/Erdnuss hat sehr gebröckelt (konnte sogar nur im Becher verkauft werden 😉) und hat deswegen leider nicht so gut geschmeckt aber dennoch musste der komplette Preis bezahlt werden.

Schon relativ teuer, aber trotzdem unfassbar lecker. Die Sorte Franzbrötchen hab ich vorher noch nirgendwo gesehen und hat mich echt überzeugt!

Ich hätte gern 3,5 Sterne gegeben, was hier leider nicht geht. 5 für die tollen Sorten, aber weil‘s für mich mit 2,40 pro Kugel echt sehr teuer ist, muss ich 1 Stern abziehen. Den weiteren halben Stern Abzug, weil ich noch 70 Cent extra für ein Hörnchen zahlen sollte. Ich verstehe die gestiegenen Preise, aber soviel Geld für ein Eis mag ich zukünftig nicht mehr zahlen. Nehmt es mir nicht übel, ich war bisher auch treue Kundin.

Eis ist lecker, aber mit 2,40 Euro für eine Kugel Eis ist das das teuerste Eis das ich kenne. Schade, der Preis ist leider nicht tragbar. Das die Preise für Rohstoffe gestiegen sind ist klar. Vielleicht 1-2 Sorten anbieten, die günstiger sind...

Hatte mich gefreut auf die neue Saison mit euch, aber jetzt 2,40€ für eine Kugel und auch noch ohne den Probierlöffel obendrauf von einer anderen Sorte finde ich mittlerweile wirklich zu teuer

Für mich ist es das leckerste Eis in Hamburg mit vielen tollen Sorten und jede ist eine Offenbarung ! Egal ob Franzbrötchen Geschmack,Heidelbeere Lavendel, Himbeere Basilikum oder Brownie alles eine glatte 10/10 :)
