This was the best lamb's lettuce I've had in a long time! 🤩 You have to try it, it's really delicious.

Chicken was almost impossible to find; a tablespoon of chicken was enough for the whole plate. That's pretty bold and outrageous. The price-performance ratio is completely excessive. You're sitting right in the middle of the hustle and bustle, so there's plenty to see. A small restaurant/bar/bistro. It's decorated in a classic, older style. Outside, there's a large outdoor area with plenty of umbrellas and a large awning. The food is good and delicious. There are several cocktails. The service is good. The staff is friendly. There are plenty of parking garages nearby. Here on Ludwigsplatz, Karlsruhe is a beautiful place to be and we're always happy to come back. Greetings Alexander

The outside area was pleasant when the weather was nice. The food on the menu read well, but unfortunately it didn't suit our taste. Unfortunately, the tuna pizza was not well seasoned and my wife's bowl with goat cheese was only something for a small hunger and my wife didn't like the taste of it either. The drinks were good. The price-performance ratio was okay.

Perfect combination of taste and service! The Wiener Schnitzel was golden brown, crispy and wonderfully tender - just as it should be. The fries were perfect and the salad was very tasty. Plus attentive and friendly service! Absolute recommendation 😍 Finally found the perfect restaurant!

The truffle pizza is equally divine, with a crispy base topped generously with fresh truffle shavings and gooey cheese that melts in your mouth. The professional and friendly service further enhances the dining experience, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable. 

As always, it was super delicious! The staff was also super friendly. Always happy to come back!

By far the best restaurant for food and drink in Karlsruhe. The staff in particular are always very attentive and friendly.

My Cordon Bleu was burnt, and after complaining, they brought me a new one without any discussion. Attentive waiters, prices perhaps a bit too high for what they cook. Would still come back!

Went there spontaneously for lunch, only had tarte flambée but it was extremely tasty and generously topped. Add perfectly mixed Radler Weizen and the day was saved. Gladly again at any time. Atmosphere outside and service are of course also commendable. 😊

The outdoor area invites you to linger. Friendly staff.

Located on Karlsruhe's Ludwigsplatz with a nice outdoor area and almost the only restaurant left there that is not operated via a franchise. A stroke of luck for the location. Good wine selection. The drops from the Palatinate winery Privy Councilor Dr. by Bassermann-Jordan are absolutely recommended. A visit is worth it.

Had a great Friday morning! I was able to enjoy 2 delicious ice-cold beers, the food was a bit salty, but otherwise very tasty! The service was A1! Very accommodating and really very competent. I think her name was Mia or Lia :) Best regards!

I'm really shocked, we were there on Sunday April 14th, 2024 at around 1 p.m. and the waiter with dark hair was so unfriendly we ordered shandy and it didn't even come in a 0.33 ml glass but rather a 0.25 ml glass when we wanted to pay Didn't get an invoice and paid €9.20 for two little cyclists? Simply ripped off and ripped off

After our visit to the legendary Ludwigs yesterday, today I have a warm review with valuable tips for improving the tarnished image: Team spirit/team spirit: - Clear definition of beliefs for a positive mindset - Clear definition of the dos & don’ts in gastronomy and in dealing with guests - Create a positive team culture: Clear division of service areas and responsibilities with a constant focus on the guest Increasing service quality: - Silent and prompt clearing of empty plates/glasses at the table - Professional service at the table, without introducing personal attitude, even during peak times or when there are staff shortages - Additional use of temporary workers/jumpers/runners: briefing on the specific tasks before starting work - Managing Director/Deputy: Show your presence! TIP: A team trip to the Hotel Adlon in Berlin with a guided tour and workshop to improve your own service quality and increase team spirit Quality of the food: - Avoid convenience food - switch to fresh and carefully prepared food, especially in view of the price-performance ratio! Interior: - Due to the high and painted walls/ceilings, the noise level is extremely high. A relaxed conversation at the table is not possible. TIP: Installing acoustic ceiling sails or panels will significantly reduce the noise level - Compliance with the defined structure for order and cleanliness in the guest room and in the toilets - Decoration: Do not leave open food (etagere with pieces of cake) on the middle table (counter) - topic: hygiene! Last night we had dinner at Ludwigs with four people. The lady in service was super attentive and friendly, we liked the food and the ambience too. We'd love to come back. :)

After a long time in North Rhine-Westphalia, I was back in Karlsruhe this evening in Ludwigs. A really nice location, but it often has a problem with the lack of service, at least when the boss is not in the house, including this evening. I entered the restaurant at 9:05 p.m. After I sat down the employee came. I asked about the food and drink menu. Here it was said very clearly and without exception, I have just made the last round of food, our kitchen is closed. Fundamentally not reprehensible in this day and age and the staff shortage in our industry. Everyone has to see for themselves how they keep their staff and if that is a factor, I can understand it. There was no drinks menu either. I asked for a wine. Several options were lovingly rattled off with irony. So I decided on the Pinot Gris from Weingarten. By the way, recommended if you still feel like wine after my review. So I sat there with my wine and no food, but at 9:20 p.m. older guests entered the house. Presumably regular guests because afterwards a receipt went into the kitchen. I ordered another espresso and hoped that it was just a dessert ticket, after all the shop was full, but no, there was still tarte flambée at 9:35 p.m. When I asked the waitress about it, she said bluntly: No, there are still snacks. Hmmm just not for me. I ordered the bill eventually I was served and hungry. Then I was surprised with an espresso on the house, so something wasn't right after all, so I'm deliberately writing this review because the staff here does what they want. The second young man behind the counter was visibly uncomfortable with how the situation was going, but he couldn't get out of it. Well, long story short, I'd rather have my team event with 40 people somewhere else, otherwise they'll learn the manners too. I wish you continued success with such an employee.

We were here as part of a Valentine's Day menu that was really beautifully and lovingly prepared and was very tasty! The service was very attentive and the ambience is also great, we can only recommend Ludwigs and we certainly weren't here for the last time 😊

We went out for Valentine's Day dinner with our two children (6 and 1 year old). Great service and food. The menu with starter, dessert and intermediate course was mega. 🔥🔥🔥

We were there for lunch today. Nice bar, delicious cocktails, great service! And the pasta was tasty too. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately the food was again weak. Waiting time of 30 minutes despite the weekly menu. Completely dry beef roulade for 24.50 euros. Plus mashed potatoes with still hard pieces. Very good red cabbage. The waiter was very friendly, the request was too late. Non-alcoholic beer is better served in the designated glass.

It was my first time at Lidwigs and I was surprised that such a beautiful bar was hidden in what seemed to me to be a fairly inconspicuous building. The schnitzel was really delicious. Very strong sauce and spaetzle with it; Top! A little more expensive but top quality. Drinks also delicious!

Was here often before, is it inflation or why does it seem much more expensive than before?

I had the French Bowl which had greens, grilled vegetables and fried goat cheese and I loved it! First time I saw goat cheese wrapped in egg roll wrapper and it was an interesting concept. The mustard dip was delicious. It was fun to sit outside on a warm early October day. Our server was easily available when we got there but harder to find as our dinner went on. I will definitely want to come back and try their other dishes.

Sowohl der Innen und Außenbereich haben eine schöne Ambiente. Leider war die Kellnerin nicht die Netteste an dem Abend. Ansonsten wieder gerne.

Essen kann ich selbst geschmacklich leider nicht bewerten, da ich nur zum Trinken dort war. Das Essen meiner Freunde sah jedoch geschmacklich lecker aus und war auch schön angerichtet. Der Service ist aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.

Essen und Getränke waren super lecker. Aber das Personal war teilweise nicht aufmerksam und die Dame mit den langen braunen Haaren mehr als unfreundlich. Glaube sie hat ihren Beruf verfehlt. Schade aber deswegen werde ich dieses Lokal nicht mehr besuchen

Eins der leckersten Essen, was ich hier je gegessen habe. Salat himmlisch, Gnocci, Nudeln, einfach alles schmeckt sau mäßig gut, ich war in 2 Wochen 3x dort. Kellner meist freundlich, Toiletten sehr sauber.

Das Cafe" Wichtig" im Herzen von Karlsruhe ,hoher Standart,hohe Peise,Zum sehen und gesehen werden!

Wir sind seit Jahren regelmäßig im Ludwigs und haben gestern Abend eine besonders schöne Erfahrung gemacht. Der Kellner Taner war ganz alleine für den gesamten Außenbereich und sogar einen Teil des Innenbereichs zuständig. Er war so positiv, hatte trotz des Stresses immer einen lustigen Spruch parat und machte einen top Service. Deshalb gehen diese 5 Sterne direkt an ihn. Generell ist es für die Gäste nicht angenehm, wenn zu wenig Personal vor Ort arbeitet.

Nach dem der Chef im Ludwigs nunmehr wieder eine Chefin 😎 ist (Gott sei Dank) ist damit auch gleich wieder mehr Charme eingezogen. Wenn jetzt künftig noch der Prosecco wieder aus der Flasche kommt, und nicht mehr aus dem Stahlcontainer direkt neben dem Bierzapfhahn, und sich auch die Küchenleistung weiter stabilisiert, kann das Ludwigs wieder an "alte Zeiten" anschließen.

Bardzo drogo, piwo kosztuje 5,30 euro

ein Stern leider schon zu gut für diesen Laden. Der Service vertreibt durch Unfreundlichkeit seine Gäste. Am Ludwigsplatz gibt es deutlich bessere Alternativen. Selbst ein trockenes Brötchen im stehen würde ich bevorzugen statt nochmals in das Ludwig zu gehen.

Bin öfters dort und liebe die Curry Wurst mit Pommes. Aber deren wird immer schlechter ! Sehen mich sehr lange nicht mehr. Wohl am falschen Ende gespart, Udo

Netter Biergarten. Wir hatten Wurstsalat, der sehr lecker war. Die junge Dame, die uns bediente, war äußerst aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Auch wenn die hausgemachte Limonade und der Flammkuchen wirklich gut waren, so macht der Service alles wieder kaputt. Der Service zeigt sich überhaupt nicht aufmerksam. Er wirkt regelrecht genervt und schaut immer weg, sobald man in seine Richtung schaut. Wirklich nicht zu empfehlen

Auch wenn es vielleicht etwas teurer ist, merkt man einfach am Geschmack, dass das Cordon Bleu nicht aus dem Gefriersack in die Friteuse geworfen sondern in Butterschmalz ausgebacken wurde. Hier weiß man noch, wie man mit Lebensmitteln umgeht. Man schmeckt, dass hier ein Koch oder eine Köchin am Werk ist, die ihren Beruf noch ernst nehmen. Und der Service ist auch noch top!
