This Laotian is by far the best for foodies and lovers of Asian cuisine. Everything tastes so uniquely fresh and simply delicious. I leave here more vital and fitter. Last time I went to the other Laotian in Düsseldorf because everything here was already fully booked. And then I first learned to appreciate the quality, freshness and friendliness in this delightful restaurant. - This is the only place to go!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Luang Prabang in Düsseldorf and I have to say it was an excellent experience! The food was exceptionally tasty, and the friendly staff made the visit even more enjoyable. I can particularly recommend the traditional dishes such as Mock and Ork.

Everything is perfect. Lovely people, great service, and amazing foods. We'll come back!

After the wine tasting with the nature boys, we were there with 6 people. Were the first guests and it was GREAT. Food very tasty and great service. Always my pleasure.

I have to say that we had high expectations based on the reviews of this restaurant. We were the first guests of the day, but while the other guests had already gotten their main course, we were still waiting for the starter with our drinks. And we had a small child with us. After an hour of waiting, the child became very impatient and said that he was no longer hungry because of all the waiting. I actually only wanted to give one star, but such reviews will probably be deleted, so I'd rather give three stars. Aside from the long wait, the food wasn't good either, so my friends and I decided this was our first and last visit to this restaurant.

Family-run restaurant serving traditional Lao dishes. Nice and attentive service, questions about the food were nicely explained. The cocktails were really tasty, the food was fresh and the portions were large. I found the mixed starters particularly tasty.

My favorite Laotian in Düsseldorf. Have been here over 5 times. Always nice service, always great food. Be sure to try papaya salad. A dream. Also the mango sticky rice as dessert. Great because it's not too sweet like some Thai ones. Another positive thing to note is that you can adjust the sharpness individually. So everyone gets their money’s worth!

A culinary experience in the heart of Düsseldorf! The Luang Prabang Restaurant in Düsseldorf is a real culinary delight and a must for all lovers of authentic Laotian cuisine. I recently had the pleasure of discovering this gem and my experience was simply phenomenal. The dishes at Luang Prabang are not only incredibly delicious but also beautifully presented. Every bite was a feast for the senses, from the aromatic spices to the perfect balance of flavors. The selection of traditional Laotian specialties was impressive, offering a variety of options to suit all tastes. What particularly impressed me was the excellent price-performance ratio. Despite the high quality of the dishes, the prices were extremely reasonable. You definitely get a lot for your money here. The service at Luang Prabang also deserves an honorable mention. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. They were happy to provide recommendations and ensured that my visit was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. An important tip: It is strongly advisable to reserve a table in advance as the restaurant is often busy. However, this is just a testament to its popularity and excellent reputation in the area. Overall, I can fully recommend the Luang Prabang Restaurant. The delicious dishes, great value for money and friendly service make it a real gem in the Düsseldorf restaurant scene. I can't wait to come back and enjoy more of their culinary delights! The cocktails are also highly recommended!

The food is a treat for the palate. A wonderful place. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Wir waren hier letztes Jahr. Die Servicekräfte waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Nettes Interieur. Habe gefragt, wie scharf das Gericht ist und darum gebeten, es nur leicht scharf zu machen (esse normalerweise jedoch sehr scharf, z.B. pure Thai Chilis). Leider war das Gericht aufgrund der Schärfe nicht genießbar und ich habe es zurückgehen lassen. Zu zweit haben wir mit Vorspeisen, Hauptspeisen und Getränke etwas über 40€ bezahlt, was komplett in Ordnung für die Qualität des Essens ist. Kartenzahlung möglich, inkl. Kreditkarte.

Was soll ich sagen, einfach sensationell lecker. Könnte ich mir wirklich jeden Tag geben, das Essen. Dazu sind die Leute dort super freundlich. Grade das Laab wie die Einheimischen mit der Hand zu essen macht das Ganze irgendwie noch leckerer. :-)

There were 4 of us there in the early evening. We were warmly welcomed and the service was consistently friendly, professional and attentive. About the food: We had 2 curry dishes and 2 traditional Laotian dishes (rennet), which were consistently fresh and very tasty. I especially liked the spices and the authenticity. You can also freely choose the level of spiciness, which of course I liked as a spicy eater. The mango coconut milk sticky rice dessert was also great. The cocktails were also great. Price performance was appropriate. The only small negative point is the somewhat old, not so nice sanitary facilities, although they were very clean. We'll definitely be back :).

Laotian food as it should be, especially the rennet tastes very authentic. You can also just come to drink, the cocktail menu is by far the best in Flingern. Unfortunately, the restaurant is right on the B8, which makes sitting outside not quite as comfortable in the summer. And the prices aren't very Lao either :')

I have never eaten better Laotian outside of Laos. The Laab tastes very authentic. The levels of spiciness are also adapted to the Lao/Thai taste, if you order spicy, you get spicy. (But you are warned in advance and you can of course order everything mild). It's great that there are so many vegan options. The team is incredibly friendly and helpful. We would be happy to come back next time we visit Düsseldorf.

Wir waren länger nicht mehr dort, irgendwie nicht geschafft, wenn auch nur 20 Minuten mit der Bahn entfernt. Heute haben wir einen Tisch reserviert für uns zwei… was soll ich sagen? Perfekt wie immer, sehr freundliches Team, im Restaurant war viel los und sie sind nicht aus der Ruhe gekommen. Erstmal zwei Mai Tai Spezial bestellt! Top. Der Cocktail kostet 11,50… jeden Cent wert!!! Als Vorspeise haben wir uns die Frühlingsrollen geteilt. Für 5,90… frisch gemacht… Super… als Hauptspeise die H9 mit Ente und Schärfegrad 2, die H10 mit Ente schärfegrad 3… alles perfekt! Kommen immer wieder gerne hier hin. Vielen Dark an das tolle Team! Haben uns, wie immer, sehr wohl gefühlt ❤️

For me the best Laotian to date. Super delicious food, the service is extremely friendly and if you are really interested in the country of Laos, the owner will be happy to sit down for a chat with you - and has a feeling for whether chatting is right or not. The restaurant is a bit small, but it doesn't bother me at all. You can eat really spicy food here, which I absolutely love, and every Laotian dish is a flavor explosion in itself. If you go here and want to eat spring rolls and baked chicken, you should honestly go to a cheap all-you-can-eat shop, because in this case they are not interested in authentic Laotian food in the first place and are showing a lack of style! Tip: all salads, the stuffed octopus or the Laotian sausage as a starter and the wonderful larb as a main course - eaten with your hands and sticky rice feels twice as tasty. Upon request, you will also be shown how it is really eaten in Laos. Been going there for ages and will continue to do so. To make all the Laotians here grin: this restaurant beats every Thai in the city! ;-)

Lecker, die Karte ist vielseitig, unterschiedliche Geschmäcker werden hier problemlos fündig, man kann den Schärfegrad selbst wählen, das Team ist sehr freundlich, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Tipp: bei den laotischen Spezialitäten nicht zögern, sondern einfach probieren! Alles ist sehr gut :)

Achhhh. Das Luang Prabang. Ich habe tatsächlich einige Jahre direkt darüber gewohnt. Insofern kenne ich es seit der 1. Stunde. Und es war immer gut, auch wenn ich es zuletzt vernachlässigt habe. Mega Essen, nette Location und tolles Team. Was will ich mehr. Mit viel Verspätung also endlich mal eine Bewertung. Und der Hinweis: achtet auf die Schärfegrade. Die sind nämlich ernst gemeint. Und so soll es sein. Tolles Essen und tolle Drinks. Fantastisch. Und preislich im Rahmen. Insofern alles gut.

Das erste Mal laotisch gegessen. Auf Empfehlung des Inhabers. Super Service super Beratung. Personal außerordentlich zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Sogar eine Lesebrille wurde zur Verfügung gestellt. Ambiente hübsch. Preis Leistung Topp. Immer wieder gerne. Empfehlenswert.

Superlecker, authentisch und guter Service

Tolles Restaurant mit laotischem Essen und guten Cocktails. Jeder wählt selbst wie scharf es sein darf und ob er vegan oder mit Fisch oder Fleisch kombinieren möchte. Man wird aber auch gut bei der Auswahl beraten, inklusive der Schärfe. Hier kann man einen schönen Abend verbringen. Wer mit dem Auto kommt sollte wissen dass die Parksituation in Flingern angespannt ist. Das Restaurant ist auch gut mit dem ÖPNV zu erreichen, so kann man die Cocktails oder das Alt entspannt genießen.

Kleines, gemütliches und wie ich finde authentisches Laotisches Restaurant. Der Service durch die Inhaber ist außerordentlich gut und unaufgeregt. Die Gerichte (Vorspeisenplatte, H4 und H10) waren sehr lecker und der angegebene, wählbare Schärfegrad entsprach auch tatsächlich dem, auf dem Teller. Tolle Auswahl an Getränken, auch Cocktails und Bieren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Äußerst leckeres Essen, beispielsweise der gefüllte Oktopus ist wirklich außergewöhnlich und einzigartig. Die Hauptgänge können sehr sehr scharf gestaltet werden, die mittlere Schärfe war schon beeindruckend. Das Restaurant selbst ist schon etwas eng und laut, aber das gibt ja einen eigenen Charme.

Es wurde uns als Mega Lokal Empfohlen aber empfunden haben wir es als sehr voll Laut und nicht gemütlich. Die Speisen u Getränke waren aber Köstlich und darum gehts ja eigentlich. Da es so Gut besucht ,voll war ,zeigt es ja das es Beliebt ist.

Man wird immer gut beraten. Ich gehe gerne dort hin ☺️

Very nice and friendly and tasty

Nachdem wir die laotische Küche in Laos kennen und lieben gelernt haben, waren wir schon mehrmals im Luang Prabang, um die geschmacklichen Reiseerlebnisse wieder aufzufrischen. Insbesondere das Lab (mit Tofu) und die Phò haben es uns angetan und waren auch dieses Mal wieder großartig. Einzig der Phò fehlte ein wenig der Salat- und Kräuterbeilagen, wie wir sie in Laos kennen gelernt haben. Auch alle anderen Gerichte waren sehr lecker - es gibt viele vegane Optionen. Bei allen Gerichten kann der Schärfegrad individuell gewählt werden und scharf ist auch wirklich scharf, was ich sehr mochte. Der Service war wie immer sehr freundlich. Die Preise sind ein wenig teurer geworden aber ok.

Es geht aber könnte noch besser werden

Ich kann nur 5 Sterne geben. Angefangen beim wirklich netten und herzlichen Service. Von Anfang bis zur Rechnung alles top. Das Essen war absolut klasse. Schärfegrad Mittel ist absolut in Ordnung, man kann gut nach unten und oben variieren. Mein Tipp: Probiert die Laotischen Würstchen. Lecker!

Unfassbar leckeres laotisches Essen mit sehr sympathischen Gastgebern. Mir mundet besonders das Laab mit Hühnchenfleisch und die Laotischen Würstchen sind auch ein Gedicht. Es empfiehlt sich einen Tisch vorab zu reservieren, da das Restaurant sehr beliebt ist, in Flingern und darüber hinaus.

Fantastic everything. Service, ambience, FOOD, top notch. We had never had Laotian food before, so we asked our server for recommendations to fit our appetites. She took the time to go through a few with us and describe the dishes. Her recommendations were spot on! We got the Lab with chicken and the Mock with shrimp. Amazing The portion sizes are perfect, and it’s nice to just order for the table and share everything. Can’t ask for more from a restaurant. I would definitely go back and try more of their menu.

Ich war und bin immer noch absolut begeistert. Erst dachte ich es wird halt etwas asiatisches ziwschen Vietnam und Thailand. Also nichts neues. Aber ich empfehle es wirklich weiter! Tolle Küche die trotzdem anders ist als das man es vom thailändischen oder vietnamesischen essen kennt. 1. Das Personal ist super nett. Hat fragen beantwortet und uns sogar den beschrieben Thai-Basilikum zu probieren gegeben um Gericht besser einschätzen zu können. Zumal uns auch persönliche Empfehlung ausgesprochen wurden und wieso er es empfehlen würde. 2. Hier ist jeder willkommen ob Fleischessee, Vegetarier aber auch veganer. Auf jeden Wunsch wird Rücksicht genommen und Gerichte dementsprechend zubereitet. Zumal jeder Sonderwunsch berücksichtigt wurde. 3. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Schärfe Grad kann individuell angepasst werden. Empfehlung ist lieber etwas milder nachwürzen geht immer! Wir hatten 2 Mal das Lab (Tofu/Hühnerfleisch), veganes rotes Curry mit Erdnusspaste h10, h3 und das Mock. Das Lab mit Klebreis war eine tolle und köstliche Erfahrung kann man nur empfehlen! Aber auch alle anderen Speisen waren einfach grandios. Riesige Portionen - Preis Leistung stimmt! Erstmal wird es für viele Teuer scheine aber die Portionen sich üppig und es wird alles frisch und eben individuell zubereitet. Also alles mehr als fair. Wenn wir wieder nach Düsseldorf kommen sagen wir hier wieder hallo!

Wo kann man schon Laotisch Essen gehen? Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und das Essen schnell zubereitet, der Speiseraum ist sicher kein Highlight, aber die Atmosphäre ist nett. Insgesamt eine tolle Auswahl an Speisen, mit zum Teil außergewöhnlichen Spezialitäten, die man woanders nicht bekommt. Die Schärfe der Gerichte kann ausgewählt werden. Das Nationalgericht kann durch den Geschmack voll überzeugen. Preislich nicht sehr günstig, gerade im Vergleich zu klassischen Thai oder vietnamesischen Lokalen, aber für die Erfahrung lohnenswert.

Habe die sehr guten Bewertungen hier gelesen und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war fantastisch, die Atmosphäre entspannt und man kann sich angenehm unterhalten. Die Bedienung war auch sehr sehr gut, sie weiß wirklich Bescheid. Wir wurden wunderbar beraten und es hat einfach alles gepasst. Kommen sehr gerne wieder!

I chose a Laotian restaurant, because it would be my first Laotian Cuisine experience, it would have no chance to disappoint me in terms of authenticity. Taste wise, it feels difficult to distinguish Laotian to Northern Thai cuisine. The chicken laab with sticky rice is surprisingly delicious. Now I regret not ordering a papaya salad as appetizer. Spicy level Scharf for laab suits me perfectly. Probably because I no longer have the spice tolerance as I used to do after 3 years in Germany. With coconut milk and pineapple juice, the Huy's dream serves well as an tropical dessert-like cocktail as I wanted.

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen und wirklich gute, frische Cocktails. Der Daiquiri wurde beispielsweise mit frischen und nicht mit TK-Beeren zubereitet! :) Vor allem aber der Service sticht heraus, da man hier eine individuelle Beratung und entsprechende Essensempfehlungen bekommt. Haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Einziges Manko war, dass unser Tisch direkt an der Bar war und der Mixer furchtbar laut war. Unterhaltung während er in Betrieb war, war kaum möglich. Da aber alles andere gestimmt hat, bleibt es bei 5 Sternen. Ps: Die Frühlingsrollen zählen auch mitunter zu den besten die ich je hatte! :)

Das Essen ist ein Hit, der Chef des Ladens ein authentisch freundliches Genie: er merkt sich alle Bestellungen (Nummer, Beilage, Schärfegrad, Getränke, Besteck o. Chop Sticks, sonstige Wünsche) ohne Notation. Beim Ambiente muss leider ein Punkt abgezogen werden, da keine Schallreduzierungsmaßnahmen vorhanden sind (wenn es gut besucht ist, wird es ziemlich laut)

We were here after a long day at a trade show. It was an excellent experience with extremely friendly staff. The food was amazing, I had a dish with fried Tofu which was really, really good. My friends were a bit jealous that they ordered non vegetarian dishes ;-). If you ask for extra spicy they will warn you, and yes it was spicy but absolutely not dramatically hot. Absolutely worth to visit if you are nearby.
