Good place to have a beer. Located in the center of Badenbaden

We were there a week ago, it was a big disappointment. Price and performance are not right. They have untrained staff. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Food without praise and without infamy, normal. Very friendly staff and very nice and welcoming place. I advise everyone against taking water: €8.80 for 75cl of natural/still water, as if it came from some sacred spring in the Himalayas... Having such a sum on your account could ruin your digestion.

All local specialties are on the menu. It’s perfect for a change of scenery. The products are fresh and good. The service was fast. If you can, choose the heated outdoor space or the small rooms because the large room is very noisy but the staff is in no way responsible for the noise volume of certain customers.

Not that special and not cheap.

Wild Christmas decorations, worth a visit during Advent

I have been to Germany so many times and I have never tasted such a terrible and ridiculously expensive restaurant. The overall price of the restaurant is 2 times higher than other German restaurants. (I know it’s a tourist city, but it’s a bit too exaggerated) A 50ml pot of unnamed riesling costs 19€. The waiter had a bad attitude and was very unfriendly. When we ordered the main course, it was served five minutes later, but the meat was cold on the inside! The pork knuckle, 34.5€, is a smoked pre-cooked dish, and the side dishes are also very perfunctory. When we raised our objections, the replacement dishes were still cold, but we didn't want to waste food, so we ended up taking it away... In fact, I can accept the high prices in tourist restaurants, but don’t be so perfunctory with tourists, tourists are not stupid!

You definitely have to visit the Löwenbrauerei Haus at Christmas time. Every square centimeter is decorated for Christmas with lots of Santa Clauses and other Christmas objects. The food is hearty and good, but you have to adapt to Baden-Baden conditions.

An unmissable place at Christmas, although very touristy with the incredible feeling of having lunch in Santa's workshop. The service is efficient, the dishes traditional. In summer, instead of the winter wooden chalet you will find a superb shaded terrace. In winter, you will see the trunks of the trees crossing the wooden chalet. For me an essential address when I go to Baden-Baden

A huge, beautiful brewery restaurant. Large selection of beer, different tastes, food is normal, not surprising or exciting. The staff are dressed in traditional costumes and are very friendly. The price and quality are too high. But overall everything is great

Incredible Christmas decoration at this Restaurant in Badén Badén, everything there is for Christmas is unimaginable if you don't visit it, it is a Christmas museum and on top of that the food is very delicious. Mandatory stop at Christmas.

For us: once and never again. In our opinion the service was poor. In our opinion, our waiter was so unfriendly that the entire mood at the table changed. We definitely didn't feel comfortable. In addition, in our opinion, the food was average… Price-performance ratio doesn't fit here.

Wasn't there to eat, purely because of the Christmas decorations

Unfortunately the quality of the food wasn't that good, but the price was very high. I assume that a lot of finished products are used here. More of a tourist shop. The service was friendly. The decorations at Christmas time are very lavish. An eye-catcher for children. You can stop here for a beer.

More appearance than reality - this poor quality with utopian prices can only be afforded by a restaurant that has a "passing public" - the satisfaction of the individual guest apparently doesn't matter. Very nice restaurant, both inside and outside. The food is good, but the price-performance ratio is definitely not right. This also applies to the drinks.

2022: In our opinion, the price-performance ratio was not convincing. The male service was limited to taking the order, while all other tasks were carried out by the female service staff. Although only a few tables were occupied, it took a long time to clear away. Unfortunately, this meant that we lost interest in dessert. EDIT 2024: We wanted to give the restaurant a second chance, but were disappointed again. Unfortunately, the XXL schnitzel had a very neutral taste and the price of €35 didn't seem justified. The ambience may be convincing thanks to the elaborate Christmas decorations, but in our opinion the focus on the actual service falls by the wayside. The payment process was also complicated: instead of a printed invoice, there was only a handwritten note. If you want to pay by card, you have to go upstairs. The organization there was confusing and it took us some time to find the right contact person. After questions, we were finally issued with a hospitality receipt, but only after a discussion. Unfortunately, this visit didn't convince us either. It would be nice if the processes and quality of the food were improved to match the ambience.

We made a reservation for the Silvester Dinner, hoping to enjoy a good meal. However, we didn’t know that there would only be a special menu available that day. There were about five main dishes to choose from, and each plate cost around 50 euros. The taste was nothing special—actually, it was the worst food we had during our trip to Germany. The welcome sparkling wine, which cost an additional 7.50 euros, was far from impressive. The Strudel dessert was cahrged at 19.50 euros.( there weren't in the menu ) While the Christmas decorations outside were absolutely gorgeous, we couldn’t help but feel like we were ripped off.

More appearance than reality... unfortunately... We were here on New Year's Eve, unfortunately it was a complete disaster... The staff was very unfriendly, when we came in some of us weren't even greeted, I had to look for a table myself, no one asked whether we had a reservation or which table was ours heard. Unfortunately the menu wasn't varied and the biggest outrage was that you had to pay €7.50 for a glass of champagne and "table decorations", I really thought my eyes would fall on the table. The food arrived very, very late, I understand it was very busy but then you should just plan better from the start. The food for this price and the quality is a real laugh. The schnitzel was thinner than the sole of a shoe, more breading than anything else, on the pork fillet, there was probably not enough sauce, when I asked for another portion of sauce, I lost my faith, the sauce was like pudding and barely came out of the sauce holder. To charge €9.00 for a portion of fries and €15 for a portion of spaetzle, I beg you… NEVER AGAIN! In total we had a bill for €1000, I think that for that amount you would have gotten much better quality and service, no matter where. Apart from the fact that you were allowed to spend the whole night in the toilet. Thanks.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Despite arriving late in the evening, we were promptly seated, and the waiter provided exceptional service by recommending the perfect portion sizes for our group of four.

A place known for its great Christmas decorations outside, it is the attraction of the season. The food is very good, the service is fast and the price is according to the city and the season, I went at Christmas.

Restaurant for tourists… Having been used to frequenting a lot of restaurants in Germany near Offenburg, I find that not being able to get a wurstsalade is still revealing... and at 15€ more!!!! In addition, the waitress makes a mistake in the beers and admits it half-heartedly... she still changed the beers for us but forgot to remove them from the bill.. In short, I don’t recommend this restaurant at all…

We just went for drinks in the afternoon, we weren't assigned a seat so we just sat down somewhere. When the young waitress came to take our order she said in a unfriendly tone that drinks are only to be ordered at the front near the bar. This is the first time we didn't gave a tip.

Set in a very touristic setting, lures you in with the christmas ambience. Trap is set by the good beer. Food was average and late.

We went to this restaurant because of its high rating and beautiful Christmas decorations, but it was everything but worth our money. First off, the food is way too expensive. I mean water almost costs €10. This is understandable since it is a rather crowded tourist destination, but the service was unacceptable. I would give the service 0 stars if possible. They were extremely rude, acted like they did not want us to be here. The food was also not worth the outrageous price. It was incredibly expensive but the food tasted so normal. Nothing special. My advice, just come here to take pictures of the decorations, since that is truly a special aspect of the restaurant. But besides that don’t bother coming in, since they don’t seem to want you to be there either.

For us it was a terrible experience, we ordered a soup which in reality was nothing more than a broth diluted with some cooked onion, ordered 2 shanks, raw inside and impossible to cut without a suitable knife. You can't charge for food like this, it would have been expensive even if it had been free. In our experience to avoid. Better to pay more attention to the food than to the Christmas decorations.

The price is really high compared to the menu and taste. The taste is nothing special compared to the high price. The staff looks tired when customers arrive. I would like to recommend finding another restaurant so that the staff does not have a hard time.

After a satisfying experience this summer, we returned to this restaurant this holiday season. What a disappointment compared to this summer. I had memories of excellent veal Wiener Schnitzel served in large quantities with also very tasty fries, but during our last experience it was quite the opposite. The escalopes were tiny compared to this summer for a price of €36.50! Plus they weren't as good, and the breading came off way too easily. The veal also did not have the same quality. The only positive point was the setting during the end of year celebrations but the service was impossibly cold. It’s clearly a restaurant that attracts tourists during parties. Obviously we won't be coming back again. Too bad because the setting is nice.

A wonderful restaurant specially decorated for Christmas. The beer and food are delicious. The service is quick.

Didn't have a reservation however we were seated straight away as it was less busy after the early evening rush. The Christmas decorations are really amazing to see here. The food portions are very large so we split an order of spare ribs. We were a little disappointed that they were boneless riblet style rather than proper ribs but they were OK. Service was efficient.

It's only the Christmas decorations that are magnificent. But we got kicked out. Impossible to get a glass of water, we were sold a bottle of water for 9€90 (we had asked for still water and they brought it to us sparkling…we told them they brought us a bottle of still water telling us that they would not charge for it) so we had to pay for 2 bottles, impossible to negotiate. Really not commercial. I will not come back again even though I have known this place for 10 years. It got really bad! Go on your way!!! Prices too high compared to the quality and hospitality.

Just one summary: move on!! Where to start.. The welcome is far from warm, or even non-existent, No one wants to serve you a glass of water, you have to pay €9.90 for a bottle of water!! In addition, it was impossible for us to order a dessert because supposedly the kitchens were “closed”. Finally, the price of the dishes clearly exceeds the quality of the cuisine offered.. Fantastic experience at Löwenbräu in Baden-Baden! The Löwenbräu in Baden-Baden is a real highlight that makes every visit a special experience. The menu offers an impressive selection of traditional dishes prepared with the highest quality and attention to detail. Particularly noteworthy is the roast pork, which melts tenderly in your mouth, accompanied by perfectly seasoned cabbage and crispy dumplings. The desserts are also to die for – the homemade Black Forest cake was simply divine. The service is first class: friendly, attentive and with the perfect level of warmth. You feel completely welcome and well looked after. The central location in the middle of Baden-Baden also invites you to use the restaurant as a starting point or end to a stroll through the city. All in all: Löwenbräu is a must for anyone looking for good food, great beer and a relaxed atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to my next visit – highly recommended!

A great atmosphere and excellent food, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. If you come with children, be prepared for the staff to make rude comments and point out that the children should not break anything. And if you don't want to eat, you'd better avoid the place. It's a shame that the impression is spoiled by the behavior of the staff.

We tried the knuckle (it was spectacular and abundant) and pork in beer sauce. The dishes came out of the kitchen very quickly. The only but, the attention and behavior of the waiter, very unfriendly and took a long time to serve us.

Aesthetically very nice restaurant, to eat well you have to spend at least €30 per person, below this amount you will find strange dishes or ones that could be found at much lower prices in other places also considering the quantity, apart from some unappetising dishes ( according to my taste) and quantity, otherwise it's ok

The staff clears plates with a not very friendly “finish?” while others are still eating at the table. I've experienced this there 3 times. Instead of a cappuccino, I would rather order an espresso macchiato because a cappuccino there tastes like a latte macchiato. I wouldn't eat there on my own.

Just mass instead of class. We ordered schnitzel and got a "touch" of schnitzel with breading that wasn't even baked properly. The waiter took it away and complained to the chef, but he saw it differently than I did. Personally, I went to the chef and he also told me that it was ok. I offered to show him how it's done, but he didn't want that either. There were also complaints at the neighboring table and we were right. As Frank R. would say: If a chef can't even make a good schnitzel, then he should rethink his profession. :-) Decoration was very kitschy, but it worked for Christmas. Not everyone understood the conditions, but those who did understand us were very friendly. Price-performance for a children's schnitzel (as a breading) to charge 17 euros is simply not possible.

I know it from other cities that the restrooms of innkeepers are available to everyone during the Christmas market time... here you are approached and a cash register is stuck in front of your face and you have to put in €1... not great advertising...

So I ate at this restaurant today and it was just bad. I said to the waiter I would like a Cola Zero and then I got a normal Cola. Then when I was eating I wanted a rump steak and it was bloody. In addition, the meat hardly tasted and was full of fat and hard as a rock. Like chewing gum in your mouth. The fries were standard and low, so price-wise, this place is not recommended. They want almost €40 for a perfectly normal schnitzel with fries without salad and without sauce, so I just think that's cheeky. Especially since she wasn't even good. At that price I expect a schnitzel made of gold. Overall bad, I won't go there again.

The waiters completely ignore you. The steak was as dry as old shoe soles. The pork knuckle was okay, but overall too expensive. Low price performance.

..typical brewery atmosphere! Due to the good attendance, service was OK to sufficient and very quick and friendly! Food came quickly and was good, just a brewery.

Great decorations and then it stops there. Food is terrible. The food served here, makes Aldi’s ‘ready to go’ meals, Michelin star level. Service though. Is where they excel in appalling fashion. It’s even worst than the food. To achieve that level of appalling excellence is a feat not to be overlooked. So how does one do that? Here’s the recipe. Opening on Christmas Eve with a bunch of waiters who absolutely do not want to work. To have the audacity to ask for a tip when they know just how excellently appalling their service is. Food great, but expensive. The ambience is wonderful. But the service, never experienced anything like it in my life, unfriendly, rude. Man has the feeling to leave your money and run away.

After the Christmas decorations put a smile on your face, it quickly disappeared when you had the card in your hand and later saw the portion sizes. Bottle of water 10 euros (purchase 90 cents), cheapest schnitzel 27.50 euros, 6 Nuremberg sausages for 16.50 euros. In the brewery we were actually used to eating well and at a fair price, but you probably pay more for setting up and dismantling, as well as storing the tons of Christmas decorations, than for the employees (as the reason for it on the menu is). Unfortunately, the “cheese” spaetzle was bland and half of the cabbage went back to the kitchen for the cabbage roll, along with two small potatoes in a lake of sauce. Leaving a brewery hungry, thirsty and almost 70 euros poorer... we've never had that before.

A nice restaurant for Christmas, but don't count on quality service. Not a smile, a mistake on an order, and the waiter almost seems to be reprimanding us because our German is not perfect. The main courses arrive while the starters are barely started, and they don't seem to mind. After the starters were finished in a hurry, we had to call them to clear our plates because we were really crowded. The prices are also high for what is offered.

We were in the toilet and then the whole team and the supposed host stood in front of us with a small cash register and directly demanded 1 euro per person for the toilet without even asking whether we were guests or wanted to eat something in the house. Restaurant located inside a premises on the second floor, guarded by a thousand little characters such as bears, Santa Clauses and others on the outside of the façade. Delicious food and in large quantities. The photo is a starter of a little bit of everything for 1 person from which 3 people ate. The second one is also very tasty, good service and good value for money.

We were there at Christmas time. Probably almost more decorated than the Christmas market. Some people like it too much and find it cheesy, but we thought it was gigantic. Wherever you look, you discover lovely little things.
