Love Deluxe in Berlin

You will leave this place happy. Scrumptious food - that has some mind blowing flavors going, relaxed and friendly service. My go to is the fried rice with braised greens. The other dishes are really good, too.

Cute, nice vibe. Stuff are nice. Like the food and menu. The only thing is the smell coming from the kitchen :(, it's really bad and you'll figure it out after you get out of there, your soul will smell. 😂

The pancakes were so good. And it’s such a cool, cute cozy place by the Canal. Will definitely come again to try the other dishes

Really not your average brunch place. I’ve explored the menu here and everything I’ve had has been A-MAZING. It’s hearty and wholesome and colorful food with extra love 🧡 . Perfect place for brunch or lunch with unique food options and generous portions. Can’t recommend it enough!

One of the best places to have brunch in Berlin. Menu items seem simple but are so flavorful. Very unique experience. The service was awesome as well. Definitely coming back again and again.

There are some places where you don't understand the hype and there are others where you don't understand why there's not more hype. Love Deluxe is the latter. We had the beef sandwich and pancakes. The beef sandwich might have been the best sandwich I've had in Berlin. Generous portion, lots of super tender meat, great balance, juicy but not greasy. The pancakes were equally great and are on the top level of pancakes I've had. It's not cheap but given the portion size, it's fair. Service was friendly and the place has a nice vibe. GO THERE! PS: somehow they don't have cappuccino/latte etc. was the only thing I missed.

5 stars – Authentic, warm and simply delicious I was in the Love Deluxe and absolutely loved it. The service was super friendly and attentive - you immediately feel like you're in good hands here. I had the fried eggs with rice – simple but incredibly tasty! Perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented and exactly what you want in a dish with soul and character. The ambience is relaxed, with loving details and a really pleasant atmosphere. You can tell that people don't just cook here, they live. I'll definitely be back, it was one of my best dining experiences in Berlin recently!

Unfortunately, a disappointing experience, especially if you follow a vegan diet. There is now only one vegan dish left: the salad. Not every restaurant has to have tons of options for vegans, but as a brunch restaurant it should be more than just a salad that just consists of black cabbage and baked pumpkin. It seemed uninspired and a bit loveless. Unfortunately, the pancakes weren't quite to our taste either. Way too sweet and without anything fresh or fruity to balance it out. That's a matter of taste, of course, but it was really too powerful for us. The atmosphere in the store was also rather cold and uncomfortable. Overall, the dishes and the restaurant have potential, but we won't be coming back.

Love Deluxe is one of my absolute favorite spots in Berlin. Never ever i had one in this city. Run by the lovely Eddie & Bayo, this place feels like home the moment you walk in. Every dish here is made with so much care and love—it really shows in every bite. The menu is full of amazing choices, but if you ever have to pick just one or two, go for the fried eggs n rice or the pancake or the beer sandwinch. They’re seriously next-level! The food is all about heart and flavor, and the service is super friendly and warm, making you feel right at home. To all the Karen's who's been quick to leave a negative review without really thinking for a second, I say WAKE UP. Talk to the owners, take a good look at the menu, and get a feel for the house rules before deciding. If you don’t like spicy food, maybe this isn’t the place for you, but if you appreciate food that's made with care and passion, you're in the right spot. Good, quality food takes time, so if you're not willing to wait a bit, a fast food chain might be more your speed. But for those of us who value a meal that’s full of heart and soul, Love Deluxe is the perfect place to slow down, enjoy great food, and feel super satisfied as you leave. ❤️

A very good, somewhat cool but still cozy place with great, exceptional food. The pancake tower is a poem, the black cabbage salad with pumpkin is highly original. Service friendly. We'll be back.

An absolute gem and my favourite brunch spot! Best flavours in town and worth every visit. Food is delicious, staff is wonderful and you leave very content. Always a good idea.

Unique food and drinks! Not many options, but everything on the menu seems interesting. The service was also fantastic. Rather pricey, but they provide free tapwater, no questions asked. The food is delicious, but certain flavors seem to overwhelm others. The flavors are great, but don't work that well together. You could barely taste the egg because the chilli-lime sauce was overwhelming also other intense flavors like from the goatcheese. It was a great experience and the food was different to how I expected it to be.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to order anything because no changes were made to the dishes on the menu, which was pointed out to us particularly aggressively in English by the stressed-out waitress. To top it off, she was about to start a discussion. The menu is very short and offers few choices. Therefore I cannot give a rating for the food and I would rate the service with -1 star. The ambience is rather cool, loud and uncomfortable, looks more like a school canteen. Unfortunately I can't recommend it.

I don’t like this place much. But it’s about people- and people who work there are great 👍🏻 I ordered eggs with rice, and I didn’t like it - It was too spicy, and not for that price. Unusual thing for Berlin - they offer free water, and that’s nice ☺️ So, I‘m not sure that I‘ll come back, but..you can try:)

The food was fine, but it didn’t feel special or memorable. Both dishes we tried were quite basic, with simple ingredients and not much creativity in the combinations. Portions were also unbalanced—too much filler like rice or kale and not enough of the more interesting elements to make the dishes stand out. Overall, it felt like the focus was on keeping things easy for the kitchen rather than creating a satisfying experience for the customer. The staff were lovely, and the space was beautifully designed, but unfortunately, the food didn’t match the expectations.

The food was nice, but the overall experience didn’t justify the price. We spent 45€ for two dishes and a coffee in Neukölln, which felt overpriced for what was offered. One dish was essentially rice with chili oil, and the other was kale with roasted pumpkin—both simple and not particularly creative. Extras were available but came at an additional cost, which wasn’t clear for me upfront (maybe other understand directly). Even with the extras, the portions were small, with too much filler like rice or kale and not enough of the “good stuff.” For breakfast at this price point, I expect more extravagant ingredients or interesting combinations. Instead, it felt like the dishes were designed for minimal effort in the kitchen rather than delighting the customer. Even the filter coffee or tea—basic and served in a tiny portion—didn’t feel worth it. The minimalistic decor was lovely, and the staff were very friendly and attentive, which did help improve the experience. However, despite their efforts, the food simply wasn’t worth the price.

If you‘re also sick and tired of avocado toasts and eggs Benedict for breakfast, you should come here. They have really unusual food choices that‘ll give you a fresh, delicious perspective on what a breakfast can be. Egg&(goat-)Cheese toast that‘s also a bit spicy. Fried rice with eggs. Etc. Friendly staff. You won‘t have to beg for tap water. They bring a bottle of free water as soon as you sit down. Card (only) payments. 10/10

The service was excellent—friendly, engaging, and helpful when choosing breakfast options. The food was delicious, though a bit too spicy for my taste. The pancakes, in particular, were outstanding. The atmosphere of the place is fantastic, making it a lovely spot to dine. While I recommend this place, I do feel the prices are slightly on the higher side.

Don't speak a word of German. When emigrating to a country, it would be a minimum of respect to learn a rudimentary version of the local language and use it, or at least pretend to make an effort. But it doesn't seem to apply to expats in Berlin and Germany. They probably think of themselves as the global elite to which an entire country has to adapt.

There is a long wait on weekends for breakfast and lunch unless you make a reservation. But is it that delicious and addictive?? It's a shame that the menu has changed slightly from the past, but the pancakes are the same. But the main menu here is pancakes, so definitely eat the pancakes!! *Includes old photos in the back*

Second time eating in and very happy there are places in Berlin where you can be surprised with interesting variations of products for breakfast and lunch and get it all in a great quality. Def would recommend!

We had the eggs, pancakes and braised beef. - Pancakes were cold, falling apart and the sesame mascarpone was tasteless - Eggs dish was full of sauce so the bun was soggy and there were too many eggs. also didn’t taste the cheese - Braised beef sandwich was huge, full of sauce and impossible to eat it without everything to fall from the sides - The tea is 3.5€ and a very tiny tea cup with 2 mint leaves and a quarter of a full lemon inside.. - The jasmin tea was also small and full of ice cubes - all together was a mind boggling 65€ We will not come here again and don’t recommend to anybody

Amazing place! The food was super good, very flavorful. We had the need sandwich, the potatoes hash and pancakes. All to die for. The waitress was very friendly and contributed to the great experience. A good brunch place that doesn't overprice delicious dishes We will come back!

Small menu, but everything is unique and delicious. Hash with Eggs was something special as is the Braised Beef Sandwich. Staff is super friendly! Pancakes were too heavy for me but my gf loved them. The coffee is the only thing that disappoints. Cold brew is flavored and too sweet; filter coffee is just ok.

This hidden gem absolutely blew my mind. The service was second to none, the food was the best I’ve had in Europe. I am in love with the place. The pancakes and potato hash cake were especially our favourites. I highly recommend coming here if you want amazing food, service and drinks!!

Today I ate there, letting myself be guided by the reviews. I ordered the "ebsslada" but it was more of a lentil stew than a salad. The truth is that it tasted like burnt lentils and was very overloaded with condiments and for almost fourteen euros and 6 euros for water I thought it was expensive and bad. There will definitely not be another opportunity, after being a chef for 35 years, I don't think you are in a position to give me cooking lessons, much less creative cooking. About the water, you are right, it was €4.50, I apologize.

A very nice place to have breakfast where you immediately feel at home. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. We were there on a hot day and were given a carafe of water several times without being asked. The drinks and the food were simple, but especially the cold coffee with spices or the pancakes with sesame mascarpone. It really was soul food - you felt full and happy afterwards.

The atmosphere was hectic - poor ambiance, loud music and nervous waitering. The plates and drinks are definitely expensive but that is ok, I can over 25€ for breakfast if you give me peaceful atmosphere and staff having time to explain what I am actually ordering. I did not like my food - if I was explained that it was going be so crazy spicy, I would have chosen something else. I had a burning sensation in my stomach hours after the consumption, which never happens in my case. Also the waiting time is something they should improve… There is a potential but…

I visited Love Deluxe for the first time today and had a great experience. The place has a bright, minimalist design, but also feels cozy and homely. The staff were all friendly, helpful and clearly passionate about the food they're serving. I tried a couple of dishes and liked them all for their bold flavour combinations and original twists. The pancakes were served with a dollop of mascarpone cream with dark sesame and a muscovado syrup instead of maple syrup. Interesting and delicious! I also loved the potato hash cake with a remoulade with kaffir lime and lots of herbs. Crunchy, creamy, tangy, peppery, and mildly sweet – simply perfect. Treat yourself to brunch at this lovely restaurant – no matter what dish you choose, you'll be in for something you won't find anywhere else in Berlin.

Great place and great staff! Everyone was very friendly, the portions were large and everything was very tasty. We had pancakes, sandwiches with scrambled eggs, porchetta sandwich and spicy egg fried rice. All dishes had an interesting twist to them. My favourite were pancakes which were absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!

Really nice place! Small but exciting menu with things you don’t get everywhere in Berlin. I had the fried rice with extra greens and bacon- very delicious and spicy plus a huge portion! Took something home which was no problem at all. Everyone at our table loved the food and we almost had the whole menu. The owner (I assume) was also super friendly and checked on us, free water was refilled without even asking. The only “down points”if you want to call it that- there is just filter coffee and no cappuccino, flat white and so on but I guess they want to focus on the food so that’s totally fine and we had a table near a big group so it got quite loud at some point but also that’s not something the owner can change; they deserve being packed with people so that’s also fine. Highly recommended.

Edited below: Visited around 10:20 AM on a Sunday. The place wasn’t too crowded, with only 2-3 tables occupied before mine. I started off with a cold brew—not realizing it was sugared, which I don’t prefer, but I decided to drink it anyway. The experience took a turn for the worse after a 40-minute wait when my food still hadn’t arrived. I tried asking the service staff about the delay. It was noisy, and my question ("länger") was misheard as "lecker" multiple times. I had to raise my voice just to be heard, which was when she finally understood me. She checked with the kitchen, and five minutes later, informed me that my food was still not ready. Instead of apologizing, she criticized my tone, claimed I was being aggressive and rude by raising my voice, and advised me to watch how I talk to people. Just because I spoke louder to be heard doesn't mean I was aggressive. While she might feel that I was rude, or interpret my tone negatively, I could similarly perceive her advice as arrogant. Feeling unwelcome, I decided to pay for my drink and leave. On my way out, the same staff member told me I shouldn’t "come to her house and talk to her like that." If this is how they treat a simple inquiry about service, then it’s not a place I’d recommend. Be mindful—the staff are quite sensitive. Safe to say, I won’t be returning. ------- Edited: And now you're implying that I did not reciprocate the respect your colleague showed to me (assuming she did? In what way?). There's no point arguing further about the tone via written reviews, as we lack video footage to prove who was at fault. What I can be certain of is that you've lost a customer—and any potential customers I might have recommended—over what I perceive as over-sensitivity to a trivial service question. I have noticed quite a few other reviews mentioning similar issues with the attitude of the service staff. I guess we are all rude, then? With all due respect, if this is how you run a gastronomic business and how the staff treat the customers aligns with your guidance, you can keep your values, and I will keep my wishlist shortened by one.

Lukewarm coffee. Porchetta overcooked into a dry brick. Music way too loud despite the place being empty. I mentioned my food being overcooked to the waiter and she said “I’ll let the kitchen know.” So I guess now they know. Big on style, no substance. Very Instagrammable, everything else an afterthought. UPDATE: love the reply from the restaurant "Love Deluxe is not your friend's living room." yea obviously cuz my friends wouldn't serve me overcooked food and stale coffee. And they'd care whether I had a good time

There‘s lots to love about Love Deluxe: It‘s a deluxe spot for a boozy brunch. The dishes are a bit on the naughty side but that makes them so tasty. They’ve got three great natural wines by the glass or bottle. Their crew is super friendly and the playlists are on point. Five outta five stars!

Das Love Deluxe ist ein wunderbares Frühstückscafé in Neukölln. Die Einrichtung ist modern und das Café insgesamt sehr hell und stylisch eingerichtet. Ich habe mich für das gewaltige und leckere Porchetta Sandwich mit Spiegeleiern entschieden und war sehr zufrieden. Leider hat das Love Deluxe nur von 10.00 Uhr bis 15.00 Uhr (Sa + So bis 16.00 Uhr) geöffnet. Es gibt auch eine nette Sonnenterrasse vor dem Lokal.

I’ve been there twice in 2 weeks, that’s how good that was the first time. Food is delightful, a mix of senses, pretty high level to me, and staff has been wonderful and fun both times. A place to be to become!

One of the best brunch places in Neukolln. Friendliest people, good atmosphere, the food is absolutely amazing. A very interesting menu and unique flavours and combinations. Winter salad and the chowder are my favourites so far, but will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Great coffee as well. Try the spiced cold brew and buy some of the amazing chili crisp for at home!

I ordered the pancake stack with fried eggs and a spiced cold brew, all of which I really enjoyed! The portion size is very generous, so even without the eggs it would have been a very filling and delicious meal. The service was excellent. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a brunch/lunch place in Neukölln that has something else than the typical avocado toast and poached egg on offer.

No substitutions for allergies. They wouldn't even leave off Koriander as a topping. The waitress was not nice. .. Then we received this response from the restaurant. Why so combative? It's obvious you're not used to customer service American style, but why fight with your customers? The same rudeness was present with the waitress. It's just bad form and made for a bad experience. Had you just been friendly and kind, a no would have been no problem. We probably wouldn't even have left a negative review.

We got seated right away and the food arrived in no time. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was just amazing! We both had the pancakes and we still talk about how good they were! Would definitely recommend!

I rated highly bc my beef is totally aesthetic but the sign at the front of the store is just so off- assumes the customer is rude/ doesn’t know how to eat out, it’s confrontational, exactly the opposite of what hospitality should be. I avoid these kind of places for this reason - you know the rent is going up when you get a “post-ironic” breakfast concept in your hood :-p
