An absolute delight! The Louis Laurent completely convinced us! The tartare was super fresh and so tender that it melted in your mouth - perfectly seasoned. The duck foie gras was simply amazing: creamy, rich in taste and simply pure luxury. The service was also totally relaxed and professional, we felt completely comfortable. If you like French cuisine, you definitely shouldn't miss this restaurant. We'll definitely be back!

Great service. Tasty beef tartar. Great selection of wine. We had a reservation. The place is small. It was a Friday so many locals were having dinner. The reservation is good.

From the moment we entered the restaurant we felt like we had entered a small part of France. The atmosphere was charming and cozy, with a touch of elegance that didn't feel cluttered but struck a perfect balance between stylish and inviting. The food is simply sensational. Every bite was a poem. The starters – whether Escargots de Bourgogne or the delicately seasoned Salad Niçoise – set the tone for the rest of the evening. The main courses were a real feast: tender entrecôte, perfectly cooked, accompanied by a light yet aromatic ratatouille. The fish was buttery soft and a real revelation. The wine selection is exquisite and offers the perfect accompaniment to every dish. We were particularly enthusiastic about the in-house dessert: a crème brûlée, whose caramelized crust makes the heart of every dessert lover beat faster. The service was excellent - attentive but not intrusive, and always willing to make recommendations that turned out to be spot on. Conclusion: This restaurant is a haven for anyone who wants to enjoy French cuisine in its most authentic form. Every visit feels like a short vacation in France. Absolutely recommended!

Very very French restaurant with exactly what we are looking for for this kind of place. The food and service were excellent. Cooking perfect meats! The only downside is that the price of the wines is a little exaggerated for renowned but not rare estates with margins that are a little too high compared to the prices of the estates. But I recommend and I will come back.

We have waited for 15 mins only to make an order and even after that time we haven't got any attention. So we left and I cannot say anything about the food. But it better be exceptional if you must wait 20 mins just to get a chance to order that food.

After a long break, a visit to Laurent again. The prices have increased like elsewhere, but the quality and service are still top. So if the stock market is not consumptive, a very good address.

We ate outside in a nice part of town. The food was very good and tasty. Very attentive and friendly staff. Fine dining, which of course has its price. Gladly again.

Das Restaurant ist sehr einladend. Das war Essen super. Entnconfit und Boeuf Bourguignon. Unbedingt auch ein Dessert probieren! Unser Ober war sehr nett und hat uns alle Wünsche schnell und perfekt erfüllt. Wir kommen wieder!

We were here again after 2 years and weren't as overwhelmed as the first time. Ambience and service are undoubtedly excellent, very nice indoor and outdoor areas. But the price of the card and the quality don't match for us. Blackened olives? High prices for simple dishes, and the wine is also exorbitantly expensive. We haven't even spent that much in the oyster company on Sylt. For us, the price-performance ratio is no longer right here. It's a shame, but we won't come back.

I felt like I was in Paris for a few hours, I loved it! I will come back whenever I am in Berlin.

I had dinner at Louis Laurent with my wife last week and we were very impressed. The waiters were consistently present and always there for you. The food was delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. A really fine and beautiful restaurant and also very central. I would highly recommend it, best regards to the fabulous chef

New or different chef? We have enjoyed coming here again and again over the years. Small but cozy inside and really nice to sit outside on warm summer nights. After about a year we were happy to take a look again, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. My entrecôte seemed more like 150g and was more than well done, even though it was ordered medium. The allumettes were far too burnt and could only be enjoyed with the Béarnaise sauce. A look at photos from our last visits confirms both. My wife's salmon was very bitter and hardly edible, which may have been due to the truffle puree she ordered instead of normal puree. However, there were no real truffle slices like we knew from the fries, just very small black “spice” flakes that were sprinkled over both. For the €5 extra charge we could have ordered an extra portion of truffle puree for €7.5. Even the beer wasn't really cold. Only the red wine tasted very good, as usual. Overall, we were very disappointed and would rather not take any risks with the prices in the future. If it helps the owner: We were there on April 6th.

I discovered the restaurant by chance in mid-March. The business lunch advertised from the outside was good and so I ended up in this French gem. The waiters were consistently friendly and the atmosphere was nice. A really nice mini trip to France. The 3-course meal consisted of cauliflower soup with croutons, followed by mini chicken and beef skewers with vegetables of the day and - of course - chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything was simply delicious and, at a total of 18.50 euros, quite inexpensive. Unfortunately I couldn't try any wine or champagne, but the water was ok too ;)

Welcome to a French gem. The charming service acts flawlessly and is always on hand. The creations are wonderful. And very well crafted. The excellent Bordeaux can also be enjoyed excellently. Certainly a restaurant where opinions differ... It was very well attended and the guests seemed happy. I was there with a friend and the food took forever. Wine list is good, on average, €70 a bottle and the food was so-so. It's a shame I would have expected more from a French restaurant with the flair and standards.

Typically pretty restaurant that tourists imagine in Paris, even the music is French. Unfortunately, the meal wasn't that satisfying: pieces of shell were stuck in a snail. The ribs we ordered were particularly small, with a lot of bones. The meat, which was hard to find, was tough, so there was no trace of tenderness. The ratatouille that came with it had been cooking for a long time, but apparently wasn't seasoned. The waiter broke the glass of water, the stockings got wet, but you were only given a fresh glass without moving. You could be more generous. A very disappointing culinary evening.

We had on February 14th. made an online reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant we were assigned a table, but after a short time we were asked again about our reservation. Apparently we had to pay a deposit for our reservation, but there was no mention of this online or in the reservation confirmation email. In any case, we were sent out of the restaurant again with the statement “We cannot serve you”. If you also find such situations unpleasant, you should avoid this restaurant. A pity.

The food was good and the atmosphere was nice, no question. Unfortunately, we (two younger women) were suddenly treated worse after we didn't order wine to drink and opted for salad with shrimp because our original meal request from the menu wasn't available. While our coats were taken away from us at the reception in an almost exaggeratedly polite manner, we weren't even looked at when we left and had to fish our coats out of the clutter in the cloakroom ourselves. Instead, I was pushed aside slightly because I was probably in the way for a moment. The interaction with other guests, however, seemed a lot more courteous. We behaved politely throughout, thanked everyone for everything that was brought and tipped in keeping with decorum. It's a shame that people here probably don't like it if you order something relatively cheap because you just feel like it - or for whatever reason. Even though the food was good, I won't come back and won't recommend it to others. You can get something comparable in Berlin, with friendly service for all customers.

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend im Laurent. Der Service war klassische und und gut. Der Abend war perfekt, so wie ich es mir seit langen wieder gewünscht hatte. Tischdecken, weiße Kerzen, kleine klassische Blumendeko, schwarz weiß gekleidete Kellner, die einfach alles richtig machen. Dazu sehr gutes französisches Essen, mit einem mittlerweile angemessen Preis. Auf keinen Fall günstig, aber sehr gut!!

Wir waren Silvester im Restaurant und obwohl jeder Platz besetzt war, hat alles bestens geklappt. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich, das Essen sehr gut und auch die Weinempfehlung absolut passend. Schade, dass wir nicht in Berlin leben, sonst wären wir sicher öfter zu Gast.

I'll start with the positives; the restaurant has a french vibe: decoration, furnishing and music. The service was professional and the toilet was clean. The wine selection was great. The negatives: we were offered a *restricted* menu (between the 18th and new year's), nothing that resembles a classic french cuisine on the entrée or main dishes; no duck, no bœuf tartare. We ended up with a traditional German/Austrian Christmas dish; goose with red cabbage and spinach: goose was very underflavored, sauce was great. For the quality, it was definitely overpriced. There was no obligatory service fee as some reviews mentioned. This definitely doesn't make it to the list of good French restaurants in Berlin (at least not around Christmas it seems).

This place doesn't even deserve one star. The staff was not polite. They charged us for four bottles of wine when we only had three! Adding to the disappointment, the mandatory tip was applied in a manner that could only be described as unprofessional. Seriously, not coming back.

I went there with my friends. Everybody ordered but me. The waiter behaved very disrespectfully when I told him I don’t want to order. Won’t come back here. My friends said the same thing.

Zu einem besonderen Tag waren wir wieder einmal im Louis Laurent. Wie erwartet, wurden wir vom Service verwöhnt, das Essen (Ochsenbäckchen und Seezunge, vorher Austern) hatte eine hervorragende Qualität. Parfait!

Wir waren am Sonntag zum Frühstück im Louis Laurent. Das Ambiente im Spätsommer dort draußen zu sitzen ist sehr schön. Für den Preis der Frühstücksplatte Louis Laurent (38,50 Euro) war die Auswahl der Speisen aus unserer Sicht allerdings zu dürftig. Etwas merkwürdig empfanden wir, dass Groupon den Gutschein für das Restaurantfrühstück teilweise teurer verkauft, als im Restaurant zu zahlen wäre. Das ist uns zumindest noch nicht vorgekommen und hat einen merkwürdigen Beigeschmack.

Sehr angenehmes Ambiente, waren am 22.09.23 hier zum Essen. Hatte versehentlich den 21.9. gebucht, wurde aber ohne Probleme verlegt. Personal äsest freundlich, Essen sehr gut. Preis Leistung top Vielen Dank für einen gelungenen Abend, wir kommen wieder

Alles sehr geschmacksvoll eingerichtet, auch im Aussenbereich gibt weisse Tischdecken und Servietten. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker, auch der Kaffee. Allerdings der Preis ist im hohen Preissegment. Also zu zweit über 60ig Euro, ohne Sekt und mit Kaffee und Wasser. Kann man machen. Kellner sehr freundlich, vielen Dank

Wir waren am Sonntag Abend zu zweit im Restaurant. Das Essen war, wie immer, sehr gut, aber der Service war schlecht. Wir mussten 2 Stunden für die Vorspeise warten, der Kellner war schlecht gelaunt und wir bekamen weder eine Erklärung noch eine Entschuldigung für das mangelnde Service. Wenn man für 2 Personen 200€ ausgibt, dann erwartet man schon etwas anderes. Schade, den ich habe dieses Restaurant oft besucht, werde es aber nicht mehr tun.

It seems they were understaffed, but didn’t tell us there would be some delays When my friend who is a Berliner asked about the delay, the server was quite brusque and rude It was literally two hours from when we sat down to when we got our entrée I would never go back. Perhaps it was an off day for the restaurant but for a dinner that cost €100 per person I expect a little bit more. The food was very good and the wine list was delightful but they should have done better. At the very end of the evening, they did offer an after dinner drink; but at that point, we already had a bad taste in our mouths from their terrible service.

Entrecote sehr zu empfehlen Am schönsten draußen sitzen und genießen. Wunderbarer Ort. Kleiner Nachtrag: In einer Rezension wird vom Restaurant geantwortet, dass bei allen Fleischgerichten Pommes Allumette dabei sind. Das war bei dem Lamm nicht so. Es kam nur so wie auf dem Foto. Kleiner Hinweis, dass es keine Pommes gibt wäre nett gewesen. Die Fischsuppe war leider sehr dünn und eher ein Meeresfrüchte Fond und wurde daher zurückgegeben, was anstandslos akzeptiert wurde

We sat inside, waited for 15 minutes, it was relatively empty, but no one took our order, even after a direct request and staff passing by multiple times. It was sad and really unpleasant experience so we decided to storm off.

Vor allem im Sommer und auf der Terrasse kann man sehr gepflegt und gut essen. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service inmitten eines gemütlichen Altbau-Ambientes. Aber: die Preise sind viel zu hoch und trotz guter Qualität dann doch nicht gerechtfertigt. Um das etwas zu kaschieren, hat man einfach die Beilagen weggelassen. Man muss sie extra bestellen und sie werden auch extra berechnet. Sehr verwundert hat mich auch der Internetauftritt. Man kann die Speisekarte und auch die Weinkarte detailliert ansehen. Nur: es werden keine Preise genannt, so wie es früher bei der sogenannten Damenkarte üblich war. Man erkennt die Absicht und ist verstimmt

La cuisine ne fait pas tout… Malgré une cuisine verte délicieuse, l’ambiance au sein de l’équipe a complètement gâché notre expérience. L’équipe de serveur ne cessait de râler et de se plaindre des uns et des autres en face même de la clientèle. Nous avons même eu le droit à ce que les serveurs râlent parce que de nouveaux clients arrivent. Même ma femme qui n’est pas française (et donc ne comprends pas) a détesté ces moments de gènes et a été choquée. La cerise sur le gâteau ? Malgré cette ambiance détestable je décide de laisser un pourboire. Le service n’a même pas la politesse de me remercier et ça directement voir ses collègues pour se battre pour savoir comment sera partagé le pourboire de la soirée. Bref… je conseille pour des plats à emporter pour ne pas subir le comportement de l’équipe.

Paris im Herzen von Berlin. Im Louis Laurent haben wir (Freunde und ich) einen wunderschönen Abend verlebt. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich, der Service sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und das Essen hervorragend. Der rote Faden des französischen Restaurants findet sich in vielen kleinen Details wieder und man spürt das die Inhaberin das Restaurant mit Liebe und Leidenschaft führt. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

A very beautiful little restaurant with authentic french food. The price is pretty standard although it may be a bit much for some. The service is impeccable and the servers are absolutely wonderful, but it does take a fair bit of time to prepare the food. I suppose that's a part of the charm to sit, chat and soak in the atmosphere.

Wir waren vor 4 Wochen zum Essen zu unserem Jahrestag. Das Essen war hervorragend und auch typisch französisch. Toller Service und immer sehr zuvorkommend. Wir kommen sehr gerne.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal im Louis Laurent und sind nicht nur begeistert vom Essen sondern auch vom Service. Die Preise sind zwar gehoben aber für die Qualität und die Portionen mehr als gerechtfertigt. Das Ambiente im Restaurant ist ebenfalls sehr sehr schön. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch, dann hoffentlich auf der schönen Terrasse 🌸
