Loui & Jules im Loretta - Vegesack in Bremen

There were four of us eating here, and we were all absolutely thrilled. We ordered the duck twice, a burger, and a bowl. Everything was incredibly delicious. The duck, in particular, was a real highlight; I honestly can't remember the last time I had such good duck. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the restaurant is beautiful, and you immediately feel at home. A very special shout-out goes to Katrin; she deserves more than five stars. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful evening. We will definitely be back.

A lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. We were a group of 18 for dinner. We ordered various dishes, which were quite good, except for the bowl, which I/others weren't happy with either. It consisted of various salads, tomatoes, cucumber, beans, and couscous, but unfortunately, it was tasteless and quite dry. The dressing was missing, not just at our table; the next table also complained. We were asked how we enjoyed our meal, and our complaints were acknowledged. But that was all; they could have reacted differently, which was a shame.

Yesterday, we ate at Loui & Jules with a large group. The atmosphere and service were very good. When the Chicken Crispy Bowl arrived, the portion was small but appealing. The meat was really good, but the rest was completely tasteless and dry. I didn't really want to say anything, but when I was specifically asked how the bowl was while paying, I naturally mentioned it. What I didn't know was that there had just been complaints about the bowl from another table. All the otherwise quite nice gentleman said in response was, "I'll pass it on." No apology or attempt to find out if something had gone wrong in the kitchen—I personally found that disappointing. You experience better service in other restaurants.

The food was great, good selection, beautiful decor and atmosphere. The staff was top-notch! Especially Marco, always the best, I'd gladly go back anytime.

The service was very poor. After an hour, we still hadn't received our starter. After we pointed it out, they briefly apologized. Ultimately, we waited 75 minutes for the starter and 1.5 hours for the main course. Mistakes can always happen, but how they're handled is another matter entirely. The usual questions about drinks or requests, etc., were completely absent. The restaurant was moderately busy, but we felt the service staff were adequate. A lackluster and unmotivated atmosphere would be appropriate... We didn't feel welcome. On the plus side, most of the dishes are also available gluten-free. We still won't be coming back.

I've rarely eaten such good fish. I had halibut with a Parmesan herb crust on an asparagus and arugula salad. I absolutely had to try it; I loved it. The buttermilk panna cotta was also delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Let's get down to business. Despite the restaurant crisis, the pricing seems to have gone a bit overboard. The quality and service leave a lot to be desired. Therefore, only two stars, along with a request to use less fat, make the portions a bit more generous (here, pasta, it's free!), and reconsider the many little extras that add up to a lot of money. Despite the pleasant atmosphere, the fun factor is seriously compromised.

We were in the basement area, where the noise level was quite high. Next time, I'd probably prefer to sit upstairs in the restaurant. Nevertheless, the food was fantastic and the service excellent.

The food is excellent and offers a day menu in addition to the evening menu... something for everyone! The service is particularly noteworthy! (Young man with a beard) Advice and friendliness is second to none!! You feel comfortable here!!! The bottom line is a clear recommendation...we'll definitely be back!!

November 2024. As an old Vegesacker, I had several vegetarian meals with my wife at Loretta: very tasty and creative dishes, plus wonderful Kräusen on tap. You will be noticed and recognized here by the friendly and very committed team. And the really lovely owner is everywhere and full of power and still notices you. Thank you very much. We are already looking forward to our next visit next spring! April 2025. Dear Katrin, 4 nights in the Havenhaus again. And again, as vegetarians, we got our money's worth with delicious and varied dishes on 4 evenings with you at Loretta! Warmly recognized by you, served professionally and friendly by Marco and Niels. And the online table reservation also worked perfectly. In short: it was another wonderful evening at Loretta. The Loui & Jules is really delicious! I've been there twice so far and we've always received a warm welcome. The open-plan space makes it a little noisy, but you can still have a good conversation. The rustic style gives the whole thing an extraordinary touch. I can especially recommend the pasta, we'll be back!

Highly recommended. We were here at lunchtime and were warmly greeted. Friendly staff who gave us good advice and accompanied us rounded off our visit. Our food was freshly prepared and of high quality. The cooking is still good here. My giant pulled pork burger was simply delicious. The coleslaw salad on my burger was the best coleslaw I have ever eaten. The beef patty is homemade and was cooked medium as ordered. The fries that came with it were also tasty and the portion was decent. I'm a good eater and was very full. The dessert, actually too much for me, which I shared with my wife was also very tasty - wild berry parfait with white chocolate sprinkles. My wife had the veal schnitzel and was also very satisfied. The prices are absolutely reasonable for such good food and such good service. We really liked the atmosphere and invites you to linger. We'll be back.

We decided at short notice on January 18, 2025 after our musical in Hamburg to call Loui & Jules to reserve a table. We had Katrin on the phone who very kindly and politely informed us that unfortunately there were no tables left. However, we would like to call again half an hour before our return journey. We did this and we were lucky and got a table for 6 people. The service and food were very good. We have nothing to complain about. Our children were greeted with every change in their food with a smile. Top 5 stars and we would love to come back again. Big praise for the kitchen and service. This is how gastronomy should be!

It was actually rather good, but we had to wait 1 hour for 1 citizen. Otherwise the food tasted quite good.

When we walked in we immediately noticed the beautiful and cozy atmosphere. We had a table in "heaven" in the upper right area by the window. A very nice place as there is no through traffic. We barely sat and were spoken to directly and advised about drinks. The drinks came straight away and after ordering the food it didn't take long for the food to arrive. You could tell that everything was very freshly prepared and so delicious. We had Wiener Schnitzel and tagliatelle with salmon. Katrin was responsible for our area that evening. We haven't had such a nice waitress in a long time. She gave us great advice and always had a relaxed way of saying things. We had a lot of fun with her... but everyone else there was great and totally attentive. We can recommend Loretta 100% and will definitely come back.

A historic red brick warehouse located in the middle of the cute old town of Bremen-Vegesack. Very nice atmosphere and delicious food. It's better to make a reservation on the weekend, very popular! The very nice and attentive service spontaneously found a place for us at the bar in the basement. The burgers, whether with meat or vegan patties, were among the top 5 burgers we've ever had, really delicious. Priced at around €15 for what's on offer, it's completely ok. Plus the delicious Zapato fries with sour cream, salsa and guacamole - super crispy and spicy - and delicious beer, that's all you need for happiness. Always happy again, next time with a table reservation…

Very nice atmosphere, extremely friendly staff and delicious food. I think the selection on the menu is a bit limited and we waited longer than you might expect from other restaurants. But overall we were very satisfied, will come again and recommend the restaurant to others.

Today we were at Loui & Jules for the first time and certainly not the last time! We really like the interior of the restaurant and the seating is comfortable. I really like eating vegan and therefore chose the “California” bowl. I liked it very much and the homemade lemonades were also delicious. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness and courteousness of the friendly employee Christian. It's great when the food tastes good and everything else is convincing too! I love how the store is set up. Lots of love in the furnishings and decoration. The staff are a dream and provide really good and friendly service. If you are gluten intolerant you will NOT be taken seriously. The waiter didn't care at all whether the food had gluten or not. After asking several times, he then allegedly asked the chef whether what he had ordered could be made gluten-free. The meal was gluten-free but not the side dish (fries definitely contained gluten), I spent half the night lying in front of the toilet bowl and spitting the food out again). The meat was tough and oversalted. There's no way I'm going to go there again. It's a shame for the expensive money.

Went to Loui & Jules for the first time. I had heard that the price was a bit higher, but it was very good. Well, we had reserved a table in the upper area for Saturday (there is also a lower area). Our parking space was the parking garage about 100m away, where we paid €6.00 ​​for about 3 hours. When we arrived at Loui & Jules we were warmly welcomed and given our table. The very nice lady who looked after us was just amazing. Nice, very polite, accommodating, amusing, just great. I love it when people who serve me are friendly and open to customers. Our questions were answered almost 100%, except for one specific type of wine. But that was solved by simply bringing us the wine and allowing us to simply taste it. Very well solved 👍 The food was delivered as ordered, i.e. the steak (rum and flank steak) were cooked to perfection, thus achieving 100%. All in all, including starter, main course, dessert and drinks, we paid €220.00, which was completely ok. Every now and then we were asked again and again whether everything was ok and whether we had anything else we wanted. I think the ambience is very successful, but that is certainly a matter of taste. This should perhaps also be mentioned, there is the saying: “look at the toilets, then you will know what the kitchen looks like”. The toilets (at least for the men) were also spotless. Conclusion: An absolutely successful evening in a nice atmosphere with great food at acceptable prices. A very clear recommendation from me, and 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in all areas

Leider völlig überwürztes Convenience Food, Schon erstaunlich, wie schnell das Essen auf dem Tisch steht. Richtig heiß war das Essen leider auch nicht. Das Ambiente ist nett, die Bedienung ist freundlich, aber das haut es insgesamt nicht raus.
