Hotel Restaurant Havenhaus in Bremen

We booked the hotel because of a nearby event (at the KITO). A historic building, a great location right on the Weser River by the ferry dock, and a restaurant right outside. The hotel's restaurant was unfortunately closed that evening because a 60th birthday party was taking place. We were informed about the birthday when checking in and were told that we wouldn't hear anything from the second floor. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. It was loud until about 1 a.m. We wished we'd known about the birthday beforehand, for example, when booking, then we would have simply chosen a different hotel. Otherwise: The marked hotel parking lot was unpleasantly littered, the hotel was worn, with stained carpets, broken sinks, and so on. No elevator. Very narrow, with sloping ceilings, and things lying around everywhere, etc. The staff was very friendly, the beds were good, but we didn't think it was a good value for money, and we would have preferred to have breakfast elsewhere. We wouldn't book the hotel again.

An older hotel in a great harbor location. The staff was very friendly, and the food at the breakfast buffet was also decent. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Unfortunately, the rooms themselves are a bit older, and the furnishings also seem quite worn. Parking is available in the hotel courtyard. All in all, a thoroughly satisfactory stay.

Nice hotel! My three days friendly, interstate guests, friendly staff, free parking, one minute to river(Weser) walk.. can see world famous yacht construction and with luck a mega yacht in front 😀 Room was big, bathroom ok, breakfast ok(order your egg!) forgot something? I want to come back 😀✈️😀

The hotel's location was great, and we received a very friendly welcome. The breakfast staff the next morning were also very nice. The building is historic and certainly has its charm, so we can overlook a few things. But our double room was small and had a very low sloping ceiling, both above the bed and in the shower. There was also no enclosed closet, only low open shelves. Two coat hangers hung on the wall. I would have expected a bit more "luxury" for a price of €117 per night.

The location of the hotel in Vegesack is certainly great, but the hotel itself isn't. The room furnishings were perhaps modern 20 years ago, and the carpets in the hallways and on the stairs are worn and dirty. The rooms aren't air-conditioned either, so it gets quite warm in the summer... If you want to air out the room and are unlucky enough to have a room facing the garden, the "scents" from the kitchen waft into the room, making you feel like you're staying in a chip shop, both in terms of temperature and smell. If you're lucky enough to have an event on in the hotel, you can easily join in the celebration in your room, as the hotel is so well-soundproofed. You can even hear every word of the conversation in the hallway. At least the room is clean, and the housekeeping staff does their daily work really well, hence the two stars. But perhaps a thorough renovation should be considered. As it is, the price-performance ratio isn't right at all.

Very friendly service and a wonderful view of the Weser River. A pleasant and delicious restaurant with a tasteful, maritime ambiance. The hotel rooms are past their best, but everything was clean and tidy. Complimentary mineral water in the room and a kettle with instant coffee are nice touches.

Very good location at Vegesack harbor. I had a room with a view of the Weser River, which was very nice. The rooms are simply furnished and very clean. Train, bus, pedestrian zone, and food are all just around the corner. All in all, a good choice 👍

I recommended the hotel to my best friends from the Moselle region, who were returning after many years. I didn't expect such a run-down hotel. A disgrace. I'm ashamed of this recommendation. Never again.

Was only here for dinner but saved my whole business trip. Was balm for the soul with an absolutely courteous service. You have to search for a long time in Germany for this: Thank you - Havenhus!!

It was extremely noisy, not cleaned properly, the staff wasn't what I would like, and then the offer didn't correspond to the booking. 1 star clearly justified. Never again. Addendum 2025: (One should never say never ;-) This time I had a double room due to occupancy, it was large, had an intermediate door to the hallway, noise protection windows facing the harbor, so: nice and quiet. Cleanliness okay, but the house is definitely getting old, the staff is friendly, the surrounding area and the restaurant are good.

The hotel has a nice location and some free parking spaces. The check-in was unproblematic and friendly. Unfortunately there was no feeling of well-being in the room. The bathroom in particular urgently needs to be renovated. The bed was comfortable, but the room as a whole was unfortunately quite noisy. Tip: It is better not to put a Tassimo coffee machine in the room if the cups are dusty and the condensed milk has unfortunately expired. The breakfast room has a lovely maritime theme and the small, paid breakfast buffet is down-to-earth (cold meat, rolls, eggs, fruit and vegetables, juice, filter coffee).

Totally nice contact, great breakfast, room really clean. Reserved again soon!

The hotel is located in a historic building directly on the Weser River in Bremen-Vegesack. The surroundings are surprisingly beautiful, with a small museum harbor right next door and various restaurants, bars, shops, and the Vegesack Cultural Center within walking distance. The hotel has a busy restaurant, with a beer garden in the summer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite small and simple, and the small breakfast buffet costs extra. Free Wi-Fi. Nice ambiance, simple room, and the price is on the high side for what's on offer.

The worst hotel I have ever been to in my entire life. The staff do not care and wont help you. They're rude, the beds are disgusting. Don't come here no matter what you do.

The booking online went smoothly, as did the check-in, then the first shock. Instead of a double room we got a single room. Okay, that got sorted out. The double room was okay at first glance, but at second glance it was in need of renovation. The right side of the bed was completely broken and the leather was scraped off. The bathroom door didn't close properly, the shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere. For around 100€ a night we don't expect any luxury but at least no such defects. The service in the attached restaurant was nice, but the food was very greasy and not tasty. We decided to skip breakfast instead. In the evening it was very loud for a long time, with Ballermann music until late into the night. Only the location of the hotel is really nice, but unfortunately that's not enough. No recommendation from us.

A house with great tradition. Once the office of the port captain of Germany's first artificial harbor. Wonderfully located, directly at the confluence of the Weser and Lesum at the Vegesacker Kurve. You can feel Vegesack's maritime past like no other place. If you want to experience Bremen as a port city, this is the best place to do it. The few sea-going ships that still call at Bremen can be seen here, close enough to touch. The restaurant and pub operate as “Strandbude”. The menu is a mix of traditional and modernist cuisine. The whole thing is a bit expensive, but still within reason.

Overall satisfied with the ambience, friendly service and food. The location with the view of the Weser and the Weser ferry is very nice. You can hear the two ferries early in the morning, but you get used to it. 😃

Great location. Staff also great. Unfortunately, the furniture in the room was pretty run down and unfortunately there was hair everywhere in the bathroom. Which was disgusting. We would still come back and hope that the room would be cleaner next time. The service there is really absolutely great.

THE SEAFOOD SOUP, is a must-try, it was amazing. The restaurant is a quiet venue with good atmosphere and great tasting beer to matchbthe food... very reasonable and worth every penny..

Hotel mit mega Standort direkt an der Weser. Leider sind die Zimmer schon in die Jahre gekommen ..teilweise abgenutzte Möbel und im Bad etwas Schimmel in der Dusche .. das geht besser ..Preis ist mit 92 € für den Standort super ..

Sehr laut bis in die Nacht. Wir konnten leider erst ab 1:00 Uhr schlafen. Zimmer entsprach keineswegs den Fotos der Website. Fernsehprogramme auf wenige beschränkt. Kein ARD, kein RTL, kein SAT1. Kein freies WLAN. Frühstück eher Durchschnitt als reichhaltig. Schon bei der Buchung sehr unterschiedliche Angaben zum Preis. Alle Mitarbeiter und -innen sehr freundlich, bis auf die Chefin, die bei der Buchung bereits klar machte, entweder sie nehmen das Zimmer zu meinen Konditionen oder sie lassen es. Hätten wir es mal lieber gelassen. Zwei positive Anmerkungen: Die Aussicht auf den Hafen war schön und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Die Preise in der Strandbude sind mehr als gesalzen (Salat mit Putenstreifen 17,90€), das Essen ist es dafür weniger. Ich bekam eine fad schmeckende, kleine Portion vegetarische Gnocchi Pfanne- mit matschigen Gnocchis, teilweise überaus bissfestem Gemüse ( der Brokkoli war kaum zu zerkauen), die zudem teilweise nicht einmal mehr lauwarm waren. Meine Nachfrage über die Größe der Portion wurde vom Kellner schlicht ignoriert. Der Preis von 17,90€ lies mich doch sprachlos werden. Trotz des netten Ambientes im Beachclub- Look werde ich definitiv nicht mehr herkommen.

Sehr netter Service, Zimmer sauber, geniale Dusche und Bett sehr bequem! Frühstück ist auch sehr gut, alles was man braucht! Brötchen und Crossiants sind richtig gut, mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit vom Bäcker. Sehr zu empfehlen 🙂

Der von uns gebuchte Raum wurde doppelt gebucht, statt einer Entschuldigung gab es erstmal einen Anpfiff und im Befehlston wurde man einem Tisch zugewiesen (obwohl der ganze Laden leer war und wir uns an jeden Tisch hätten setzen können, oder sogar in den von uns gebuchten Raum gehen). Um das 2. Getränk muss man betteln, keine Begrüßung, keine Verabschiedung. Die Tresenkraft machte einen betrunkenen Eindruck. Mangels Alternativen kann man sich so etwas anscheinend in Vegesack erlauben. Die Hotelzimmer waren auch schon arg abgewohnt. Am schönsten ist das Havenhaus jedenfalls von außen...

Ich hatte öfter ein Einzelzimmer, war sehr gut, immer sauber gewesen, es gab eine kleine Kaffeemaschine und ein Wasser zum Aufenthalt dazu, es gab ein grosses Bett, einen TV (es gingen nicht alles Sender, aber das macht überhaupt nichts), ein Badezimmer mit Dusche. Sehr freundliches Personal und man hat immer sehr früh Antworten auf Emails bekommen. Gruss an "Jenny", ebenso mega freundlich und immer bestens gelaunt gewesen! DANKE! Bis zum nächsten Mal

Ein kleines gemütliches Hotel mit Restaurant in einem historischen altem Haus. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Zimmer ist einfach, jedoch sauber und gemütlich. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück war gut. Können das Hotel wärmstens empfehlen was auch von der Lage direkt am Wasser (Weser) liegt

Toller Standort, sehr gutes und nettes Personal, Frühstück passt zum Preis, Zimmer ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, Bad recht klein und altbacken.

Hotel sauber, mit kleinen Macken, die aber nach Beschwerde innerhalb eines Tages behoben wurden. Frühstück war OK, nicht spektakulär aber mit frischen Brötchen sonst Standart. Das Hotel ist nicht barrierefrei, hat keinen Fahrstuhl aber ein geräumiges Treppenhaus. Parkplätze am Haus oder in der Nähe vorhanden. Dame am Frühstücksbuffet freundlich. Zimmer mit Blick auf die Weser und den Fähranleger.

Ich habe zum Hafengeburtstag auf der Terrasse gesessen. Das traditionsreiche Gebäude verdient 5 Sterne, alles andere kann ich nicht bewerten.

Zimmern super sauber und gemütlich

Ich habe beruflich eine Übernachtung in der Pension Weserblick verbracht. Die Buchung per Email klappte hervorragend einfach und unkompliziert. Das Treppenhaus und mein Zimmer waren super sauber und das Bett bequem. Es gibt WLAN, Tv und obendrein hat das Zimmer Nr.7 eine tolle Aussicht auf die Weser. Schade fand ich, dass ein Frühstück erst ab 7:30 angeboten wurde und das die Parkplatzsituation um die Pension echt besser sein könnte. Der Hinweis auf das Parkhaus sollte in der Mail für die Buchungsbestätigung stehen und nicht auf der Innenseite der Zimmertür. Ich werde trotzdem bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt wieder hier buchen. Würde wenn es möglich wäre 3 1/2 Sterne vergeben.

Super nette Bedienung, schönes und angenehmes Ambiente, die Bilder über Google sind veraltet. Das Essen war sehr gut. Mal was anderes. Keine Riesenauswahl, dafür aber übersichtlich und für jeden was dabei! Der Kohl war wie bei Muttern!

Sehr abgewohntes Hotel. Flur riecht noch nach altem Rauch. Zimmer sehr klein und altmodisch eingerichtet. Bett ist bequem und in Ordnung. Badezimmer mit kaputten Fliesen und Waschbecken mit großem Sprung. Bei der Dusche hat man die Wahl zwischen kaltem Wasser das fließt und heißem Wasser das nur leicht raus tropft. Eine angenehme Dusche ist daher nicht möglich. Leider gab es in der Gegend keine Alternativen. Preis-Leistung unterirdisch. 100 € pro Nacht ist für dieses Hotel heftig. Ein Lob geht hier nur an das freundliche Personal.

Die Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Blick aufs Wasser entschädigt für vieles aber nicht dafür, dass es nicht einmal eine ordentliche Steckdose im Badezimmer gibt (nur 110 Volt). Das Bett war ok und die Matratze super. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt leider nicht

My visit was late April 2021. Overall, very poor expirience. I do not recomend to anybody! Completly unwilling and unfrendly staff at the reception, who by thy way did not even speak English! Checkout - dissaster! Not possilble to speak, due to language problem. We had few questions regarding invoice, to which the answer was Nein without even trying (unrelated to sum, rather the administrative favours we asked, that all other hotels visited in last few years havent had problems with). Breakfast - the same few slices of simples ham and cheese on the market each 4 mornings. Rooms - old, and stale furniture, small uncomfortable bed. Very small single room. Old bathroom, with the stale stench. Noisy and loud fan in the bathroom that could not be turned off manually.

Das Restaurant hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Bestellt habe ich den Salt mit Tandoori-Hühnchen und zum Dessert den warmen Schokokuchen mit Vanilleeis. Das Essen war top!!! Kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Ich möchte aber auch das absolut freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal erwähnen. Danke für den tollen Service. Zu allem kommt noch die Lage direkt am Wasser. Rundherum eine Top-Empfehlung👍🏻👍🏻

Wir bewerten hier nur das Restaurant! Wir hatten uns heute aus der Ausser-Haus-Karte Knipp mit Bratkartoffeln geholt. Cool fanden wir, dass die Verpackung aus Pappe war. Das Essen war noch sehr heiß und das Knipp: MEGA GEIL!!!!! KNUSPRIG, SEHR GUT GEWÜRZT UND EINFACH NUR LECKER!!!! Danke!!!!!

Das Restaurant haben wir nicht besucht. Ich bewerte nur das Hotel. Unsere Story: Ursprünglich haben wir im Boardinghouse (beide Hotels gehören zusammen) ein Doppelzimmer mit Doppelbett und ohne Teppichboden gebucht. Den Schlüssel gab's im Havenhaus. Nach Ankunft im Zimmer (einfach aber schön) haben wir festgestellt, dass kein warmes Wasser kam. Bei einem Anruf im Havenhaus wurde uns dort ein Doppelzimmer mit Weserblick als Ersatz angeboten. Beim Öffnen der Tür kam uns muffige Luft entgegen. Wir standen auf Teppichboden, vor zwei Einzelbetten und in einem Zimmer mit Charme einer schlechten Jugendherberge. Das Silikon in der Dusche hatte deutlich mal bessere Zeiten. Mein Einzelbett stand so, dass ich min. 5 mal in der Nacht gegen die Nachttischlampe gestoßen bin. Aber wir konnten heiß duschen. Immerhin. Meine Beschwerde wurde nett aufgenommen. Von der Hotelleitung war nichts zu sehen, geschweige denn haben wir eine Nachricht/Entschuldigung bekommen. Sehr schade. Ach so: wir konnten kostenfrei auf dem Hof parken.

Zimmer nach vorne unbedingt vermeiden da ein paar Leute nachts um 2 Uhr noch was trinken wollen. Letztendlich waren die 110 Euro zu viel.

Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit und freundlich. Sehr gute Idee mit der Fussball Übertragung und auch auf diesem Weg für die Jungs von dem Event Unternehmen das sie das so perfekt hinbekommen. Nichts desto trotz eine gute Sache könnte man ja weiter machen bzw nutzen wie z.b Kinofilme weiter so
