L'Osteria Wuppertal in Wuppertal

I ordered here through Lieferando and received mushy lettuce with handfuls of chicken for 15.95. Nothing else was included. They blamed Lieferando, saying it was my online ordering, and refused to help me after countless requests. The store manager kept trying to talk around it, always starting with "so...". He deliberately made me angry, hence the bad review. You weren't like that before! Eating there is nice, but you just don't have the delivery skills.

The price/performance ratio is decent. The service is courteous, relaxed, and mostly attentive. Overall, I recommend it.

We've ordered from them often enough, and the food was always faulty! A €15 salad arrived that literally consisted of a head of lettuce and a handful of chicken. We complained and asked for a solution, but they wouldn't refund us or send us new salad. We also ate there once, but the food simply didn't taste good, so I'm giving the food and service one star. I'd rather give it zero stars for this outrageousness.

We got a table for two without a reservation in the busy pedestrian zone. We had one pizza and one pasta. The pizza was huge (45 cm) and very tasty. The pasta was okay, but not as big as the pizza. The taste was quite good. The price-performance ratio was good. The service was very attentive and friendly.

Standard L' Osteria. As with almost all of them, it's very loud. The food is sloppy. It's far better at some pizzerias. However, the service is outstanding. Very friendly and courteous.

Four of us ate here on May 1st, 2025. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and the service was super nice. A young man served us. His name was Jens. He was very attentive to the drinks and spread a good mood. We'll definitely be back! ☺️🍕

An unforgettable evening at L'Osteria! I was at L'Osteria with three friends - and what can I say? It was a wonderful evening. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the great atmosphere: lively, warm and easy to feel good. The food was an absolute dream – super tasty, fresh and prepared with a lot of love. Whether pizza or pasta, every bite was a pleasure! A special highlight was our waiter Jens. Rarely do you receive such warm, attentive and humorous service! Jens was not only extremely likeable, but with his charming manner he made a significant contribution to ensuring that the evening ended well. We laughed a lot, ate excellent food and felt completely at home. A big thank you to the entire team – we will definitely be back!

Loved the food and the service was really good. We had our small kid with us and the people were so considerate. Loved everything about the place.

There was a sign in front of the door telling you to wait until you were brought to the table. After a few minutes, we went in ourselves and asked because no one who walked past the door had paid attention. However, the staff made the first impression go away with their great service and good food. All in all, it's very nice there and the staff knew what they were doing, was always nice and quick, and the food was very tasty. Gladly again. :)

The table was reserved and we were promptly provided with drinks. The waiter was very friendly, especially to the children. The food was hot, tasty and plentiful. We'd love to come back!

I found a hair in the starter broucheta, spat it out in a napkin and put it next to the rest of the bite, which was no longer acceptable to me, and asked the waitress about it. Instead of an apology, she came with a reproachful look (as if I had hidden the hair there myself) and said that everyone in the kitchen was covering their hair and wanted to see the hair. I rummaged through my chewed food in the napkin and showed her the hair. Her statement was devoid of empathy and said that I could get a coffee at the end of the meal as compensation. Since I didn't want to spoil the evening for us, I kept a good face on the bad side until the end and paid for everything properly and since I'm not a coffee drinker, I also declined the offer. But I definitely won't eat there again

Food is okay, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. Service wasn't good. We had to wait quite a long time at the beginning, even though there wasn't much going on. After the meal we were no longer served or even noticed - all the other tables were served. We had to get up and say we wanted to pay - the entire staff was engrossed in their cell phones.

5 stars We like to come to L’Osteria very often and again and again! The pizza is super tasty, huge and the price-performance ratio is just right. The restaurant is almost always busy, but we never have to wait long. The staff is always in a good mood, attentive and friendly. For us the best pizza restaurant – absolutely recommended!!! Oh yes... and definitely use the L'Osteria app, you can collect points and get something for free every now and then!! Small point deduction….music is too loud…..

Pizza is bigger than your plate!

They charge extra for the topings of half a pizza as it is a full pizza. They have a deal that costumer can chose to have a pizza with 2 different halves and than they do charge the most expensive one. All fair with that. We opted to half of “made your own pizza” with4 ingredients (9.95 + 6 eur of ingredients = 15.95€) and half of another one (16.25€), they charged us 16.25 plus the total of the extra ingredients, and didn’t acknowledge that those were part of the made your own pizza. They could even have explained it when we ordered that toppings were always charged separately, but they didn’t, neither it was written in any place of the menu. Extremely rude manager: “you eat you need to pay!” Without even trying to understand what we were trying to explain to him. Pizzas were good, and price good too, but the attitude was terrible. I would have paid the same value in tips! But the deal should be respected!

Everything is nice, only the staff is very arrogant. Girls with special education qualifications take the orders and apparently think they are the boss.

Here I was served the biggest pizza of my life!👌😲 It tasted good too! Very friendly service who naturally offered me to pack up the leftovers to take away, which was absolutely necessary!😄 The restaurant was well attended! Anyone who is sensitive to smells should know that there are always fresh lilies on the counter, which is probably a trademark for this restaurant chain.

The food was delicious, the service was great... But it was too loud... I could hardly understand my friends.

I had an ice cold pizza delivered... Even though it was delivered, I expect at least a lukewarm pizza, but no it was really ice cold, which I was very disappointed with. My friend's noodles were too salty and hardly edible. But these were at least lukewarm.

Losteria concept is actually quite nice. However, we were not greeted directly, as usual, but the staff ducked away. When someone came, they said a table was still waiting. But if I teach half locally, I don't want to have to wait at the counter. When asked it said 3-5 minutes. (There was also a lot of free time). After 5 minutes we left again because people who were there before us were still sitting at the counter. While we sat there, several tables were half cleared and the staff chatted. Only after the 5 minutes were the tables prepared and the first ones moved away from the counter. As we walked out there were many more free tables in the back area. I don't think everything was reserved and fully booked at 4:30 p.m.

We had two Orecchiette di Manzo al Limone dishes, but unfortunately, the beef strips were extremely tough. All the dishes were almost cold, and the soft drinks were barely carbonated.

The female waitress was only moderately friendly, the food was okay, but not special.

I always like coming here. It tastes good and you know what you're getting. A lot depends on the service. I think it's perfect here. It's a bit noisy at times, but I can live with it. If you order a large pizza, be hungry. The portions are awesome😋

Visually beautifully decorated place with an open kitchen. We had nothing to complain about about the food. The music was way too loud for our taste. The service was really okay. The table we were seated at was sticky but was cleaned immediately upon request. All in all, we weren't dissatisfied, but we didn't quite agree with the price-performance ratio. There was no real Italian flair, so if you're looking for that, you've come to the wrong place.

A well-kept restaurant with friendly service. We were there with our grandchildren and the little one was immediately given something to color. The food was very good and the service was friendly and attentive.

I would like to complain about one of your employees in the Wuppertal branch. It's about a waitress with noticeable tattoos on her arms and long fingernails whose behavior was completely unprofessional. Unfortunately, not only was she slow in service, but she was also unfriendly and condescending. Instead of serving guests in a friendly manner, it seemed as if she was putting herself above everything and everyone. This kind of behavior does not belong in the catering industry and leaves a really bad impression on guests. I also find it questionable whether long artificial fingernails are appropriate in a hygienic environment such as the catering industry. That doesn't exactly inspire confidence. I hope you look into this matter as such behavior will harm your business in the long run.

A nice restaurant, with very tasty food and great service. The waiters are very nice and Tabea in particular served us well. The Losteria creates a beautiful atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable and welcome. The restaurant is very neat and always kept clean. The food also leaves nothing to be desired and there is a dish to suit every taste!
