L'Osteria Wuppertal in Wuppertal

Losteria lives up to its name: LOST. Orders are placed at 12 PM and picked up at 1 PM (for takeout). It's unacceptable that you order one pizza and three pasta portions, which are finally ready at 12:15 PM (pizza) and 1 PM (pasta)!!! Then you ask what's going on and why you can't get everything at the same time, and you get the answer: "Yeah, we're sorry, but the pasta has to be cooked first, and it only takes 10 minutes!" It took an hour! Then you finally get your cold food (by which time the pizza was already cold and eaten). Nonsense!!! To top it off: The pasta portion was about half the size you'd normally get in a restaurant??? How is that even possible? And then the pasta was overcooked, so those 10 minutes actually turned into 60 minutes of uncooked and cold food. Thanks for that!!! I'm never going there again.

Incredible pizza, thin crust and delicious. I also had the quinoa salad with avocado which was phenomenal.

We visited L'Osteria with a group of 25 people. At other branches, we've experienced service issues even with just four people, but the Wuppertal branch handled the service for 25 people exceptionally well. The staff were friendly, attentive, courteous, and even efficient (but not rushed). They anticipated every need from their guests' faces. As a result, glasses were never left empty; whenever someone wanted another drink, it was promptly served – something that's often lacking in the restaurant industry. On top of that, the food was of outstanding quality and completely satisfied our hunger. The Wuppertal branch more than made up for some of the disappointments we'd experienced at other locations!

I must say the pizza was very tasty, but I was not even 2 minutes out of the store when my leftover wrapped pizza, which I had forgotten, was already thrown away.

It WAS always delicious, except for the last time... We ordered a prosciutto e funghi. The pizza arrived cold at our table, and the topping was covered in mushrooms... including four shreds of ham. Thank you very much

The pizzas are, of course, the highlight of this chain. We also generally enjoy the other dishes. On some days, when all the tables are occupied, it can be quite hectic and quite loud. We also often pick up food and take it home.

For a chain, the food was absolutely fantastic; the pizza is enormous. If you can't finish it all, they'll pack it up to take away. Absolutely fantastic service, very polite and accommodating. We'd be happy to go again!

I like the ambiance and the aroma of Italian cuisine. The pizza, pasta, appetizers, and some desserts are delicious. I don't really like the salads here, but I haven't ordered them in years. The staff is always attentive. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant and always enjoy coming back 🙃

There are a total of 160 L'Osteria restaurants in nine European countries. I'm not usually a fan of chains, living more by the motto: "Friends don't let friends go to Starbucks." But L'Osteria impresses with reasonable prices, extremely friendly and attentive staff, and excellent quality. The pizzas are huge (many go home with a doggy bag under their arm), and the salads are fresh. I had the INSALATA GALLINACCI (wild herb salad, roasted chanterelle mushrooms, cipolle borettane, pomegranate, and lemon vinaigrette) last weekend and was so blown away that I can't wait to eat this delicacy again soon. My only minor criticism: The music is usually a bit too overpowering for me, but hey! I'm not exactly lowering the average age, so it's OK.

The staff was super friendly and quick! The pizza was amazing! Only the background music was so loud and annoying that it was almost impossible to have a conversation with six people at the table. What a shame!

L'Osteria is an absolute insider tip! The food is delicious and authentic Italian, the service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I recommend it to anyone looking for good Italian cuisine.

Very disappointing!! My visit was unfortunately very disappointing. There were insects in my Lillet Berry, so the drink had to be replaced twice. This shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this size and price range. The behavior of the employees was also particularly disturbing: Some were busy on their phones, others ate directly at the counter instead of attending to the guests. Professionalism and service are not what you'd expect. The food was okay, but the hygiene and treatment of guests overshadowed the entire evening. There is an urgent need for improvement in hygiene and quality control.

There, unfortunately, everything takes way too long. You wait 5-10 minutes for the waitress. Then another 10-12 minutes until she comes back to take your order, another 15 minutes until she brings your drinks, and then a longer break—if you're lucky, about 25-35 minutes—until your food finally arrives. That's reality. So, that was just two thin Margarita pizzas. Thank you.

After an incident at this branch, we were invited back and were able to have a clarifying conversation with the management. The food was top-notch, very tasty, freshly prepared, and the service was very fast. The children were kept busy while we waited. The only drawback is that the restaurant is a bit noisy and accordingly noisy, but otherwise it's very pleasant. We'll be happy to come back! 🤩

I thought it was really great, especially that you can have two different pizza halves topped. The server was also super nice and gave great recommendations for the menu :) The only minor drawback is that the pizzas are bigger than the plates, which makes cutting difficult and quickly leads to space issues at a table for two people.

We had a delicious meal at L'Osteria in Wuppertal. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, and they enthusiastically showed us to a free table. The service was excellent and very friendly. After ordering, we didn't have to wait long! I had a fantastic pizza, and my wife had pasta. Both were truly delicious and super fresh. The price was also very reasonable for the good food. All in all, a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. Congratulations 👍
