It was so great, we would love to come back, the service was great and the food was amazing

For me, one of the best pizzerias in Saarbrücken! Great atmosphere, really large pizzas for the price. Great parking and excellent service. We'll be back.

We've been guests since the first week about eleven years ago. There have been some changes, ups and downs. Today was once again truly fantastic. The new manager is very nice, and so is the staff. The food is sensationally delicious, as always, and we have been and will remain loyal guests at our osteria in Saarbrücken City. We'll try the osteria on the French border next month.

Absolute impudence. We ordered from there yesterday around 7:45 p.m. The delivery arrived about two hours later. I had the pasta with pesto. It tasted quite good, but the portion was so tiny that I was still hungry afterward. In comparison, my friend had spaghetti with tomato sauce and arugula, and his box had at least twice the amount. €15 too expensive for the price. And my portion wasn't hot either. They probably forgot about us and just gave us the leftovers. I'll never order from there again.

The restaurant is clean, but the basic menu is rubbish, it doesn't offer any meat, there's pasta and pizza! Avoid!

Everyone who dont know that restaurant , i wana remind to not order never from here they are the most stupid staff that i have seen im waiting already 3 hours for my order its unbelivable what they are ready to do and even dont have a little shame for that i still did not got my order it was supposed to arrive by 17:40 h

We were in Saarbrücken on a whim. We were able to easily make a reservation online. The pizza was delicious and well-seasoned. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. We will definitely come back next time we are in Saarbrücken.

The delivery service is a disaster! Three weeks ago, we waited 100 minutes, even though we had pre-ordered for a specific time. Today, the delivery hasn't arrived at all. I've called several times and have always been put off. I'm curious to see if I'll at least get my money back. Never again.

We wanted to reserve a table for three people by email for today, Thursday, August 28, 2025. According to the confirmation, we were given a time between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. One hour! If your guests can tolerate this, then they're probably neither from Saarland nor even remotely gourmet.

A truly fantastic restaurant. We're thrilled. The food was delicious and the service unbeatable. You don't find something like this very often.

I just had a light lunch with friends in the outdoor area near the train station in Saarbrücken. It was a wonderful, shady spot, and Alex provided great, friendly, and competent service. The Caesar salad was delicious.

Impossible acoustics: Like a bazaar! Unpleasant smells: Is the pizza oven stench being blown into the air conditioning? Unprofessional service: Too long a wait for drinks, staff overwhelmed and overworked, the welcome lady impresses with her poor German and unpleasant accent. Unfair food: Pasta portions are too small and not filling, the pizzas are barely topped and as ridiculously thin as two lahmacuns stacked on top of each other, outrageous – planned business practices by the franchise chain for the sake of profit maximization. No risk of repeat business: And no, they won't give you a second chance, forget it. P.S.: Eating outside, under umbrellas in the dusty street, with traffic fumes, and the squealing Saarbahn train passing by, is of course a welcome alternative, keep it up!

The food was delicious, as it is at other branches of the chain. Unfortunately, our dessert (spaghetti ice cream) was a ready-made product. We also have to give the service a miss. Despite everything, we'll be back in the hope that the staff will be better trained.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza. It was ready quickly. And tasted absolutely amazing. The pizza was very good, the crust was crispy, not too thick, the toppings were generous, and there wasn't too much sauce. It was simply delicious.

Food was good but since the place was full, our order came after 1h+ of waiting time. Also at night the terrace is swarming with rats and mice lol

We wanted to spontaneously celebrate a special occasion. Upon arrival, we had to wait at the door for about five minutes before anyone even came. The two waiters seemed completely overwhelmed, and finally, a woman appeared at the entrance (presumably the manager). Since we didn't have a reservation, we were told to sit outside – on a very chilly evening. We suggested sitting at the counter, but the woman was extremely rude and emphasized that the food would take at least 45 minutes. Many tables were visibly free, and in our experience, a pizza doesn't usually take that long there. This rude behavior right at the entrance ruined our evening. We didn't feel welcome and decided to leave. It's a shame – after more than 10 years of eating here, this was by far the worst experience. By the way: I had a very similar negative experience a week ago at the new Osteria branch. So, it seems this isn't an isolated incident. In the end, we ended up with a competitor, where the service and hospitality were completely different. Bottom line: A good pizza alone isn't enough—without friendly service, a restaurant loses its value.

This afternoon, we had a spontaneous meeting with colleagues at L'Osteria in Saarbrücken; I had fond memories of the restaurant from 2019. It was a complete disaster; I've rarely experienced anything so miserable! Bruschetta with white bread from the day before (not toasted, completely soggy) smothered with pieces of canned tomatoes, the whole thing very "lovingly" garnished with arugula...are you serious?! The two pasta dishes we ordered afterward were no better – we couldn't help but get the impression that THAT was definitely NOT freshly cooked! Waiting time and service, well, you'd expect it to be different in this Saarbrücken region after living here for a while; it's simply unbelievable (unmotivated and somehow marked by a deep sense of resignation, terrible!). Definitely not again, bye!

Nice place to enjoy a huge pizza. The size is quite big, can be shared by two people. Their desserts are pretty good too. Not the authentic italian style pizza but a nice thin crust type. Overall a 4/5.

For example, burnt, cold, etc. 🤣 Today I received the pizza for the first time and checked to see if everything was okay. Overall, the food met the usual O'Osteria standards—no less, but also no more. Service was okay.

Compared to other branches of the L'Osteria chain, this one is truly below average. You wait forever for your drinks (+- 20 minutes for a bottle of water). The dishes were still at our table for an hour after dinner. I had the impression that the lasagna we ordered had simply been reheated. It was very dry and not really warm inside. We still wanted to order dessert, but after being referred to a different waiter, as we had been throughout the entire evening ("I'm not responsible for that, ask my colleagues"), we ultimately decided to pay and have dessert elsewhere. Of course, we then waited another half hour for the bill. Note: The restaurant wasn't particularly busy either inside or outside.

On Saturday afternoon, August 3rd, we ate at your place, and it was incredibly delicious: a fantastic starter plate and then a delicious salad – top-notch service. Afterward, we went to a concert at the Saarland Hall and wanted to have a nightcap with you afterward. At first, we were very hesitant to get in; it was already 10:30 p.m. and there was practically nothing going on. The time shouldn't have been a problem for a restaurant that closes at midnight. Now, to top it off, none of the many waiters managed to bring us a drink, even when we asked. After 30 minutes, we left the place completely frustrated... that was really pathetic!

L'Osteria Saarbrücken is almost always on our list when we're there. Today we should have skipped it. In about two hours, a server came to the table twice. When we were seated, it took 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The monthly menu wasn't available because it was sold out. Another 15 minutes later, our order (4 drinks) came. The atmosphere at neighboring tables was also rather tense due to the service. After another 30 minutes, the food (3 pizzas and pasta) arrived. The restaurant was moderately to half full. It was extremely noticeable today how much this branch depends on whether the regular crew is there or not. With the people serving today, you're more likely heading towards Sausalitos 2.0! There wasn't a single trained employee on site today, at least there wasn't any sign of one, as there was zero empathy between the servers and us as customers.

Very tasty pizzas! Lovely ambiance! Great service, especially from Koma :) We'll be back! Addendum: The good service from Koma continued. We've been here a few more times, including with a larger group. We've been ignored at the front desk three times now and waited 10 minutes for someone to come. The card reader was ripped out of my hand after I paid, and the receipt was slapped on the table after the server saw that I hadn't left a tip (rightfully so, because she was very unfriendly and rude that evening). When I asked questions about this via the app, they responded rudely.

A great moment. My boyfriend feels so sick that he puts his head on the table? The waitress, imperturbable, places the placemat on his head. Not a word, not a glance—an icy atmosphere guaranteed. Even before arriving, we called to ask if it was still possible to eat. The enthusiastic response: "Yes, yes, of course!" We arrived... and then... No one knew where to seat us, as if our arrival was a surprise. After 20 minutes of arguing over our order, the waitress thought it best to distribute the bills to all the restaurant's customers. Ah, the magic of service... which consists of making everyone pay before even serving their meal. For my part, I ordered a burrata (normally a starter) as my main course... but it was the mini size, served with basil that was already black. Always nice, the slightly rusty taste. The pizza? Monstrous edges, three things floating in the middle, and a final bill of €40 with a Coke. And finally: my drink was billed to our friends' tab, as if it were interchangeable. In short, a multi-sensory experience. But we won't be going back.

We went to dinner twice this week with guests. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the large pizzas are enough to satisfy even the biggest eaters. The desserts were also delicious. I highly recommend it.

We had pizza today. The crust was too lightly salted for our taste and baked too briefly. Everything except the crust was soggy. The fresh tomatoes were sliced way too thick, and the onions were almost raw. What a shame, the pizzas looked so delicious. They're also really huge.

We were very satisfied with our visit to L'Osteria! The food was delicious, the portions generous, and extremely filling. The friendly and attentive staff deserves special mention, making the visit even more enjoyable. We'll be happy to return – we definitely recommend it!

Despite the full house, we still managed to get a table. Our server, Slo, was incredible. She was super quick in the crowd and always polite when people were joking around, even with a cheeky, funny response. We enjoyed the evening, and our server, Slo, made sure of that.

The food was average, not great, and the service was friendly. We sat in the courtyard and it was very noisy, with most of the guests smoking cigarettes. I rate the restaurant an 8/10.

The food was incredibly delicious, the pizzas huge and well-cooked. However, the service left a lot to be desired. We waited 20 minutes for drinks and (despite the restaurant being lightly staffed) over an hour for the food. There were seven of us there; four tables of four to six people arrived after us and were served first. A query was answered with a very annoyed tone. It's a shame, because the food was good, but the service ruined it.

The dough and risotto were a little salty, but still tasty. The pizza was good and HUGE! We ordered a pizza for two kids, and it was cut in half and then served on two separate plates!! Perfect for both kids!!

The wait for our meals was very long, about an hour. People who ordered after us received their food faster. The service was friendly and helpful. The cigarette smoke was very bothersome. Although smoking is allowed outside in restaurants in Germany, we found it inconvenient and took away from the charm of the dinner.

Got a marker with one of our pizzas?! Huge pizzas of ok, not great, quality. They offer take-away boxes which is fine since you probably won't finish one pizza per person. Staff seemed quite stressed. What was the worst though was that under one of our pizzas lied a marker. A mistake by the chef for sure, but could be a major health issue...

If you don't know anything about pizza, you shouldn't be selling pizzas. Customers apparently define quality over size. The wait time for a pizza and a salad was about 45 minutes. The pizza was huge, but the dough was still half-raw. Overall, it was barely edible. It's a shame you can't give it 0 stars.

Hello, we tried this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Super good pizzas and XXL size, good cold drinks. Since then we go there regularly, next time I will be tempted by pasta because I could smell the tomato, basil or other pasta from a distance and the portions seemed very generous to me.

Terrible service, Italian-sounding food.

We spontaneously went to the osteria on Monday and had two lunch menus. My food was "forgotten" and delivered later. My husband's pizza had exactly 6 pieces of ham and 8 pieces of pineapple. The tomato sauce on the pizza was a luxury. You had to search for the cheese with a magnifying glass. My macaroncini slipped right past the sauce. The only thing that was really nice and accommodating was the service. Your restaurant needs people like that, who think outside the box and really approach guests.

We visited again today; everything was great. The pizzas were delicious and the staff were super friendly. The second visit was definitely worth it. We were there on Tuesday. We had reserved a table for 6 p.m. because we wanted to go to the concert at 8 p.m. Hurricane and their shirt leaders were there to take photos or something. It would have been a nice idea, if it hadn't been for the chaos! After asking several times, we all finally got our drinks. After an hour and a conversation with the manager, explaining that we had an appointment, our half-cooked pizzas arrived! Despite trying to complain to the waitress, we gave up and ate what was cooked. When we paid, all we got was a tired smile. No apology or kind words, let alone a discount! Sorry, I won't be going back.
