L'Osteria Saarbrücken in Saarbrücken

It's been a while since my last visit to L'Osteria, but I remember it well because I was hoping for more. The pizza was huge, but unfortunately a bit dry around the edges, and the toppings didn't seem quite as fresh as I'm used to. The service was friendly, but a bit rushed—it could have been because it was busy, of course. Overall, it was okay, but not so much that I'd want to go back right away.

The restaurant is loud, the waitress clears away even though people are still eating. The bill was also incorrect. The pizza is okay, but the price is high and nothing exceptional. I won't be going back.

A restaurant with excellent staff, superbly delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere is worth driving almost 800 km across Germany to eat there. We've been there several times now and have never been disappointed.

To be honest, I followed the vegan trend and ordered a pizza like this... Some things just can't be replaced. Ultimately, it's all a matter of taste 😄 But everything was perfect, and the service is highly recommended! We even got a free drink since the terrace was closed due to bad weather. An all-round successful evening, we'll be back!

Despite busy times, good service and everything was good

As always it was very good, we'll be back again and again.

Unfortunately I overlooked the fact that the tortelinnis are filled with spinach on the menu. I politely asked them that I don't eat vegetables and they told me it was on the menu, but you can overlook just one person. I didn't even put my fork in my plate and they told me I could order something else but I would be charged for the plate. Not to forget that we come often (not anymore), accommodating regular customers is not possible, it's a shame!

I spent a week in Saarbrücken for a training course and was already driving myself crazy trying to come up with something (somewhat healthy) to eat every night. I actually ate there every night. Best L'osteria I've ever been to. A top-notch team that accommodated every request and was super friendly. I'll definitely be back next time.

Making a reservation was easy; we chose a vegetarian pizza from the lunch menu. Unfortunately, it had very few vegetables.

The food is good. The pizzas, in particular, are good, tasty, and large! I often find it a bit noisy there, though. It's difficult to have a conversation there. There's a customer parking lot. If you have your parking ticket stamped at the restaurant, you get a €2 discount.

Huge portion sizes. I booked to guarantee a table. 2 mins walk from Saarbrucken Hbf . Outside seating available, good service and the waiter spoke good English to help us. I would recommend if you are here, it's very good for the price too

Yes, everything's fine... they offer Italian cuisine... but unfortunately, there's no real Italian... neither in the service nor anywhere else... a bit of a shame... the Italian heart is missing...

The pizzas are very tasty, but unfortunately the toppings are very thin. You wait forever to be served, and also forever for your food. It's a shame.

Great restaurant. Large selection, lots of delicious dishes and drinks, huge pizzas that are highly recommended and where you can even have different toppings on each half. Definitely take advantage of this; half a pizza is almost as big as a regular pizza! Very good atmosphere, but a bit noisy at times. Also very polite and attentive service! All in all, excellent.

The food is very good, even if the pizzas are sometimes sparsely topped. Unfortunately, it's always very, very loud and has a canteen feeling due to the hustle and bustle and volume. Drink prices are rather high. Parking a disaster. Of the last 3 visits, not even the parking lot "worked". Once the tickets were empty and you couldn't drive in, the other time the ticket didn't work when you drove out, the waiter was at a loss even though the ticket was correctly stamped by the LOsteria, was within the 2 hour exemption limit and we had to ring the bell at the gate for 10 minutes until someone noticed even though it said we should ring the bell, the third time the device for stamping the cards was broken and we were supposed to ring the bell, then we stood at the barrier again for 10 minutes and had to do it again go in to ask when we will finally be let out.

The noodles really weren't good. Some of the service staff were very unfriendly.

Okay, pizza was almost cold when it came. Very little topping, like eight pieces of pineapple and a few pieces of ham. A bit weak for the price. Service staff very hard working and friendly. Overall ok, but I won't be coming back anytime soon. There is better pizza in SB for a reasonable price. Yes, the pizza is big, but it's also so thin that it's more like a cracker due to the few toppings.

Unfortunately, despite reservations, it was only possible to use our table for 2 hours. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

Unfortunately, I don't feel the store at all. We were there this evening and had also made a reservation - the background noise was so unpleasantly loud that you couldn't understand your own words... The whole atmosphere there is more reminiscent of a bistro or something similar. Very, very unpleasant atmosphere to relax and enjoy good food. Unfortunately we didn't get to eat and we left again.

We ordered 2 pizzas and when they both arrived they were barely full. There was maybe 1 whole asparagus on the asparagus pizza. The other half/half pizza was only a quarter full and empty in the middle. When we called the staff we only heard stupid excuses. Apparently the surface would be weighed. We often sat in front of the open kitchen where nothing was ever weighed! Then came the statement that the chef could have distributed the matter better. There was no realization that the issue of an 18€ pizza was a joke. It's a shame that was really the last visit, for 18€ I expect more than just half a pizza afterward because the rest isn't filled.

So story time. We were there at 8 p.m. It took about 20 minutes before we could order. (Our table neighbors who arrived 1 minute before us had already received drinks) Then another 15 minutes later the drinks came. Then the first starter and the two salads for the main course. It was said that the second starter was coming soon. Instead of this, the main courses came 5 minutes later. I then returned it because the starter wasn't there yet. Another 20 minutes later the second starter came. But then everything went well. Starter cleared and then main course. The service person apologized several times. She got a lot out of her with her very friendly nature. However, I have to say that this was my worst L'Osteria experience so far. Otherwise I really like going there. But it was also the first time in Saarbrücken and, as a tourist, probably the last time here.

Restaurant where the dishes are good and generous

I went to L'Osteria for the first time yesterday. The first impression was, well... We wanted to register, but were ignored for almost 10 minutes, you could say. You understand that if the restaurant is full and the service staff are stressed, you could at least say a short "Good evening, someone's coming soon" when you walk past waiting guests and look at them. The service at the table was great, quick to get there, super friendly and despite the stress there was a smile on our faces. The order came quickly. The food was very tasty, even if the pizza could use a little more toppings for its size... but the taste was super delicious. Maybe not everything was perfect, but I still felt comfortable and the food was delicious. Everything else is nothing that you couldn't ignore and doesn't have to be standard.

Food great, staff very nice and helpful. I ordered a vegetarian pizza 🍕 and it came with ham. The kitchen's mistake was corrected immediately and I got my real pizza about 15 minutes later. In the meantime I was offered bread. My girlfriend got some noodles 🍝. Small drawback: tables are very close together, so that the people sitting next to you can hear all the conversations.

The best Italian restaurant in Saarbrücken!

They have amazing food and great service, My waitress name is Slo, she is beautiful and amazing and made sure we had the best seat and the best service. This is my new favorite restaurant in all of Germany, I recommend that anybody come here and ask for the waitress SLO!!!!

No recommendation, we had exactly 1.5 hours to eat, it was extremely loud, the service was stressful and we sat close to the people sitting next to us. Never again.....

I was just there with my little sister and ordered a pizza with two halves, but there was a mix-up and we got two whole ones. One was given to us and the man who served us was super friendly. Never been so satisfied with service during such a short stay. The waiting time was also very short.

Positive: Very friendly service, nice atmosphere, the BBQ Chicken pizza is very tasty. Negative: Pizza Crudo was very carelessly topped and mozzarella was barely visible. The lasagne is very tasty, but not larger than a child's portion. The price of €15 is too high for that. The price for a bottle of still water 0.75l for €7.25 is also MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE!!!

We and my family/friends are regular customers at L'Osteria in Jena. Today we were in the restaurant for the first time in Saarbrücken and we were disappointed. On the positive side: We were allowed to sit outside at the entrance even though there were no waiters outside according to the boss. The taste of the dishes was good. Negative, however: 1. The waiter initially complained about the fact that he had to serve outside, which you simply don't do in front of customers, something like that is not appropriate. 2. The tables were not cleaned, only old dishes were cleared away and ashtrays were left full. The base for the pizza was broken and probably used by the previous person and we only got one for 3 pizzas. 3. Covering significantly less than usual and lukewarm. (The food was brought by a waitress who was very friendly) 4. The toilets were dirty, no toilet paper, nothing to dry your hands and the loudspeaker in the women's toilet was unpleasantly loud. It's just a shame when you know it better and you lose customers.

Delicious pizzas, very large... Unfortunately, I think there is little topping for the price. We had made a reservation for 6 p.m. and were there at 5 p.m. and were allowed straight to our table🤗 Waiter very accommodating🙂

Today we visited l'osteria in Saarbrücken. There were a lot of brown leaves in my salad and at least half of it was inedible. When we asked the waitress about it, she replied that it was completely normal and that the salad was fresh! Never! She then called the boss, who also discussed with me. I have rarely experienced something so unprofessional in a restaurant. I'm really disappointed, especially since we were regulars at l'osteria in Leipzig and Kassel. That was nothing, Saarbrücken!

Super tasty! We'll definitely be happy to come back! There is one point deduction for service: we had changed the number of people by phone two days in advance, but no one knew this when we arrived! I can reserve online or just cancel. Why can't you change your reservation online? Sometimes we felt like we were forgotten and had to wait a long time for our order to be taken!

Yesterday afternoon we had a delicious meal with colleagues at L'Osteria in Saarbrücken. The portions were generous and I love that the restaurant is open all day. A special highlight was the waitress Slo - I have rarely experienced such nice, funny and courteous service, and you'll always be happy to come back. Thank you very much 💖

The food was very good, as always. It's just a shame that, once again, we were seated at a very small "kitty table" with four people (it would have been just about big enough for two people), which barely held up to four pizzas, which detracted from a relaxed meal. Wait times were also borderline exorbitant. If we get a larger table next time, we'll be happy to come back.

Despite the crowds, the food arrived quickly and everyone at the table had their food at the same time. It was just generally very loud in the restaurant.

After a really good pizza, I'm craving an espresso... which is actually only available without a biscuit 🥺 But since the customer is truly king here, the super friendly service actually found a biscuit for me and served it 😂👍 ... simply brilliant

We visited this Italian restaurant last Saturday with a group of seven and had a mixed experience. The risotto was disappointing, it had too much pepper and lacked the creamy texture you’d expect. However, the mixed salad and pasta were good, and I would recommend them. The service could have been better. We had a reservation from 19:00 to 20:30, but we were seated at 19:30 and still told we had to leave by 20:30. Fortunately, they allowed us to stay longer in the end. The waitress often ignored us when we tried to get her attention, which was frustrating. Also, the place was very noisy. One positive aspect is that they allow pets, so we could bring our dog, which was a big plus for us. As for the pricing, it felt quite expensive for what we got—around €35 per person, even though we didn’t order much. Overall, while I appreciate the pet-friendly policy and enjoyed some of the dishes, the service issues, noise, and high prices make it hard to fully recommend this place.

Most friendly service. We arrived there with 2 heavy suitcases. The staff helped us get them in and also spoke to us in English and helped us make our selection.

We made a reservation and when we arrived the lobby was full of people, we didn't know if we could just walk by or if we had to wait. As a welcome we were told that we had the table for an hour. Everything was very hectic and stressful, crowded and loud.

The food was great and really inexpensive. The service was super friendly. The only thing I personally didn't like was the background noise.

This restaurant has some great qualities. The dishes were good and the portions were very generous. The place is nice, with a pleasant decor that immediately puts you at ease, and the staff was really welcoming. On the other hand, the acoustics could really be improved. The ambient noise level of conversations, amplified by the very high ceiling, makes discussions at the table complicated, as does communication with the waiter. Try it during the week, when the place is less busy, for a certainly calmer atmosphere.

Yes, I can happily recommend it. However, the amount of toppings apparently varies depending on availability. However, I still enjoy coming back every now and then.
