L'Osteria Saarbrücken in Saarbrücken

The orange juice we ordered was unfortunately watered down :( The pasta wasn't al dente, it was overcooked. I have great respect for the people there, but I wouldn't eat there again. The atmosphere, however, is fantastic.

Absolutely outrageous! Yesterday we ordered around 7:45 pm. The delivery arrived about two hours later. I had the pasta with pesto. It tasted good, but the portion was so tiny I was still hungry afterward. In comparison, my friend had spaghetti with tomato sauce and arugula, and he had at least twice the amount in his box. €15 too much for what little remained. And my portion was only lukewarm. They probably forgot about us and just gave us the leftovers. I'll never order from them again.

Unfortunately, the staff made me feel very uncomfortable. This restaurant is not recommended, especially for allergy sufferers and people with gluten intolerance. I suffer from gluten intolerance and a rare but life-threatening allergy. The website stated that gluten-free options were available, which I was very pleased to hear. When we arrived, we double-checked to be sure and were reassured. However, when I wanted to order a pizza, they told me they didn't have any dough and that I should order pasta. I did so, and then they said they "didn't have any pasta water." I also asked if my allergen was in the pasta. In every other restaurant I've been to, the waiters checked with the kitchen and gave me a confident and friendly answer. Here, I was presented with a comprehensive menu listing various dishes and told to look through it myself. After a few minutes, however, I realized that my dish was missing from the list. I find this approach very unacceptable. I didn't choose to be unable to eat everything and would appreciate a different approach.

Very delicious food, friendly service, and simply a great experience!

I went in and said my train left in 30 minutes. The guy yesterday said, "Yeah, no problem." I said, "Hawaiian pizza." He said, "I'll order it for you right now." Ten minutes later, the server came, and he hadn't ordered anything. She said it would only take two minutes. After two minutes and without my pizza, I got up and left. I probably would have gotten the pizza eight minutes before my train departed. It's astonishing how badly I could have judged the situation. For your information: None of the cooks were doing anything at that time. And it could have been a really great layover.

The food is delicious, whether it's pizza, pasta, or salad. The service is very friendly. The only downside is that it's quite noisy.

We were there with four people and got a table right by the door, which was incredibly drafty. There were other four-person tables available, which the staff said were reserved – which we also had. It took ages before anyone came to take our order or clear the table. Instead of a latte, we were served a coffee with milk, despite asking for it. So, overall, the service is becoming increasingly disappointing.

The staff were very friendly, but the table was far too small – how could two people possibly sit there trying to eat a pizza? Besides that, my pizza was quite oily, and there was very little barbecue sauce on it. The toppings were also poorly distributed. I've definitely experienced much better at L'Osteria in other cities!

This was our second visit to L’Osteria this week, and we were so impressed with the service – especially by Ms. Desislava – that we came back today with the whole family (about 15 people). Despite our large group, the food arrived at the table all at once and was fresh. Even the owner himself checked to see if everything was alright and if we needed anything. Huge respect to the kitchen for the fantastic work! Such warm, quick, and friendly service as Ms. Desislava's is rare these days and a real asset to the restaurant industry. We'll definitely be back! 💐

The food was delicious. The waiter charged me for two Cokes and drank only one. Unfortunately, I only realized I'd paid for two Cokes on my way home.

Service was okay. The atmosphere was clean. The pizza with spicy salami was alright, very large, but the taste was only mediocre.

L'Osteria is always worth a visit. The large pizzas are unique and taste absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is funky and cool. The staff are polite and helpful. The only downside is that you have to vacate your table for the next guests after a set time (usually 1.5 hours).

Last week I went to this restaurant for pizza in the evening and was very satisfied overall. The pizza was delicious – thin, crispy crust, just as you'd expect from a good Italian pizza, and generously topped. However, I have to deduct one star: The pizza was so large that it extended about 5 cm beyond the edge of the plate all around. Although paper was placed underneath to keep it off the table, it sagged and slipped under the edge of the plate, making it rather awkward to eat. My suggestion for the future: either use larger plates or make the pizzas a little smaller. Aside from that, I felt very comfortable there. It wasn't as loud as in many other restaurants, and it was easy to have a conversation. I arrived shortly after 10 p.m. and still got a fresh, delicious pizza. I celebrated my husband's birthday there. They even brought a tiramisu with a candle and a birthday song. Everyone was very attentive and the food was delicious as always.

Been here several times. Amazing place! Very good service, very friendly staff, luxury ambience. Is nice to spend time at the bar or having lunch or dinner at the table. Especially, wanted to pay attention at the managers of the shifts, they are very professional and friendly. Was a bit confused with bartenders, they were new probably, and we didn’t want them to do us cocktails,looking how they did it ))) but the managers did it very well:) Food is worth to try. Delicious pizzas and spaghetti. Will come back with pleasure !!!

The pizza is gigantic and tastes great. Because the dough is so thin and the pizza is so large, it unfortunately gets cold quickly. Still delicious though. The spaghetti carbonara was superb. The tiramisu and ice cream are also highly recommended. Unfortunately, the acoustics are very loud. You can barely hear the person next to you; after that, it becomes more difficult. The staff was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks a lot! We'll be back.

First time here, and certainly not the last. We had a very good meal. For the price, the portions are generous. The pizza was bigger than the plate, and my pasta dish was well-topped (and delicious). The pizza could have had a little more topping, perhaps in terms of sauce... (it was a bit dry). We were greeted and served by Fariz. He was very attentive, kind, and responsive to our requests. The restaurant is large, there's a good selection, the prices are quite reasonable, the staff is friendly, and I will definitely return, probably in the evening to see the rest of the menu.

The food tasted very good, but the pizzas were cold, the salad was more of a small salad, and too small for the price, or rather, far too expensive for its size. The service wasn't very fast, and my request for some bread was completely ignored. A generous 3 stars.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The pizza is definitely worth the price. However, I wouldn't recommend the pasta and other dishes for that price. And it's best not to sit near the speakers, as they are quite loud and make it difficult to have a conversation at the table.

I haven't been there in a while, and now I remember why. That train station atmosphere just isn't for me. The high ceiling makes it too loud when there are lots of people, and the tables are far too small and crammed together. My beer arrived way too late (forgotten?), had already lost its head, and tasted stale. The waiters weren't particularly friendly; it was hard to find a nice face. The pizza there is huge, but I've definitely had better. The free parking is a plus, and the free espresso (served without a biscuit) included with the parking ticket is meant to entice customers back.

We went to L'Osteria on Trierer Straße in Saarbrücken for a girls' weekend. The service was excellent; the staff were attentive and friendly. My friends' pizzas were fantastic, as always. I'm deducting a point for my tortellini; they could have been cooked a little longer for my taste, and unfortunately, the sauce was too salty. However, I must commend the owner for asking if everything was alright when he cleared the table and for being very accommodating with my feedback on the tortellini. It wasn't a big deal for me; I wouldn't have said anything anyway. The meal was still perfectly enjoyable. We were given complimentary limoncello, which we really appreciated and thought was a lovely gesture from the owner. Our server was also incredibly cheerful and efficient. I would definitely recommend L'Osteria.

The food was tasty, but there was very little topping on the pizza, and what little there was was unevenly distributed. The service was slow and didn't come to the table, but it was very friendly. There was a lottery, a wheel of fortune where you could spin to win something. Even after asking, we weren't allowed to spin it, as no one came and the wheel was even spun away right in front of us. That was very disappointing.

Super tasty, very friendly staff

We had a truly lovely and delicious lunch today at l'Osteria. Our 9-month-old granddaughter tried pizza for the first time and made a huge mess. Our server's comment: "Oh, we'll clean that up later. Thank you for your kindness and see you soon."

Lasagna ridiculously small. Coke was flat again on the second try. Change to the lasagna order was incorrectly communicated to the kitchen. Table too small.

We ate there on the 30th of October. The restaurant was full and the staff were overwhelmed. Despite this, everyone was smiling and very patient and friendly. We particularly appreciated the waitress who served us (Alejandra), she was really great. Even though it was busy, she always made sure we had everything we needed. And not just for our table. In fact, we heard the people at the next table talking about how efficient, calm and cheerful she was, despite the rush. It's really nice to eat out when you get such a warm welcome. Thank you.

A truly great place for a delicious dinner. The pizzas and drinks were very tasty and reasonably priced. A lovely young woman served us and she was incredibly kind and helpful, even though the restaurant was packed during peak hours.

We were there today, and it was my son's birthday. Our waiter served us excellently, and we even had spaghetti ice cream with a candle and the Happy Birthday song. My child was thrilled, and so were we. 😊

Quite a nice restaurant, quite large overall, the tables are a bit close together, so you can overhear the conversations at the tables next to you... Unfortunately, the service was rather unpleasantly intrusive (at the next table, someone offered to wash dishes for two hours instead of paying, which the French ladies quite disliked). The gentleman at our table was also attentive, but his manners were inappropriate. That's not how you behave towards strangers... The food, the pizza, was quite good, although very sparsely topped. The worst part, however, came when I paid. The gentleman in question doubled the tip. You could choose between 5%, 10%, or enter the tip manually, which I did. Apparently, the amount wasn't accepted correctly, so the gentleman typed in something else and then hovered the device over my phone to pay. The total displayed was different from what I had in mind after entering it myself, so I asked for a receipt to verify. My suspicions were confirmed: more had been charged; the tip was doubled. Was it a mistake, as it was later portrayed? If he had been unsure, he probably would have asked again, right? Unfortunately, that was a really bad first impression of the house.

Tonight (Saturday) it was very busy (and therefore, of course, a bit loud and warm) – but our food still arrived quickly and was truly delicious. I had a wonderful dining experience; the pizza was delicious, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Especially because the waiter, Mochi, allowed me to stay an extra 30 minutes after the shop closed so I wouldn't have to wait any longer for my train at the main station.

Giant pizza with two toppings (marina/BBQ chicken), both very tasty. Unfortunately, only the edges were crispy. The center of the pizza base was limp and doughy. It deserved a little longer in the oven. Complaints to the service were unsuccessful. 🤔 What a shame!!!
