L'Osteria Saarbrücken in Saarbrücken

My family and friends are regular customers at L'Osteria in Jena. Today was our first visit to the restaurant in Saarbrücken, and we were disappointed. On the positive side: We were allowed to sit outside at the entrance, even though the manager said there were no more waiters outside. The food tasted good. On the negative side, however: 1. The waiter initially complained about having to serve outside, which is something you simply shouldn't do in front of customers; that's not appropriate. 2. The tables weren't cleaned; only old dishes were cleared away and ashtrays were left full. The pizza tray was broken and used, apparently by the previous customer, and we only got one out of three pizzas. 3. There was significantly less topping than usual, and it was lukewarm. (The food was brought by a very friendly waitress, though.) 4. The restrooms were dirty; there was no toilet paper, nothing to dry your hands with, and the loudspeakers in the women's restroom were unpleasantly loud. It's just a shame when you know better, and you lose customers as a result.

Delicious pizzas, very large... Unfortunately, there aren't many toppings for the price, in my opinion. We had a reservation for 6 p.m., arrived at 5 p.m., and were shown straight to our table 🤗 The waiter was very accommodating 🙂

We visited l'osteria in Saarbrücken today. My salad had a lot of brown leaves; at least half of it was inedible. When we asked the waitress about it, she told me that this was perfectly normal and that the salad was fresh! No way! She then called the manager, who also argued with me. I've rarely experienced such unprofessionalism in a restaurant. I'm really disappointed, especially since we were regulars at l'osteria in Leipzig and Kassel. That was nothing, Saarbrücken!

Very friendly service and a very nice reception from an older gentleman and the food was really delicious. I can only recommend it

Super tasty! We'll definitely be happy to come back! There is one point deduction for service: we had changed the number of people by phone two days in advance, but no one knew this when we arrived! I can reserve online or just cancel. Why can't you change your reservation online? Sometimes we felt like we were forgotten and had to wait a long time for our order to be taken!

Yesterday afternoon we had a delicious meal with colleagues at L'Osteria in Saarbrücken. The portions were generous and I love that the restaurant is open all day. A special highlight was the waitress Slo - I have rarely experienced such nice, funny and courteous service, and you'll always be happy to come back. Thank you very much 💖

The food was very good, as always. It's just a shame that, once again, we were seated at a very small "kitty table" with four people (it would have been just about big enough for two people), which barely held up to four pizzas, which detracted from a relaxed meal. Wait times were also borderline exorbitant. If we get a larger table next time, we'll be happy to come back.

Delicious food, good service There is a bit of pressure to tip when paying by card. Typically American, you can choose between 10, 15, 20 percent or another amount. Difficult topic... Personally, something like that tends to put me off and I won't give anything next time because it's expected. I assume the boss collects the money:

After a really good pizza, I'm craving an espresso... which is actually only available without a biscuit 🥺 But since the customer is truly king here, the super friendly service actually found a biscuit for me and served it 😂👍 ... simply brilliant

Despite the crowds, the food arrived quickly and everyone at the table had their food at the same time. It was just generally very loud in the restaurant.

We visited this Italian restaurant last Saturday with a group of seven and had a mixed experience. The risotto was disappointing, it had too much pepper and lacked the creamy texture you’d expect. However, the mixed salad and pasta were good, and I would recommend them. The service could have been better. We had a reservation from 19:00 to 20:30, but we were seated at 19:30 and still told we had to leave by 20:30. Fortunately, they allowed us to stay longer in the end. The waitress often ignored us when we tried to get her attention, which was frustrating. Also, the place was very noisy. One positive aspect is that they allow pets, so we could bring our dog, which was a big plus for us. As for the pricing, it felt quite expensive for what we got—around €35 per person, even though we didn’t order much. Overall, while I appreciate the pet-friendly policy and enjoyed some of the dishes, the service issues, noise, and high prices make it hard to fully recommend this place.

Most friendly service. We arrived there with 2 heavy suitcases. The staff helped us get them in and also spoke to us in English and helped us make our selection.

Very nice restaurant, booking is easy, even if you don't get there on time you still have 15 minutes until the table is gone. The food is simply amazing and the prices are really worth it, even if they are really good prices. The service was really great too, everyone was super friendly so really recommended

We made a reservation and when we arrived the lobby was full of people, we didn't know if we could just walk by or if we had to wait. As a welcome we were told that we had the table for an hour. Everything was very hectic and stressful, crowded and loud.

Yes, I can happily recommend it. However, the amount of toppings apparently varies depending on availability. However, I still enjoy coming back every now and then.

This restaurant has some great qualities. The dishes were good and the portions were very generous. The place is nice, with a pleasant decor that immediately puts you at ease, and the staff was really welcoming. On the other hand, the acoustics could really be improved. The ambient noise level of conversations, amplified by the very high ceiling, makes discussions at the table complicated, as does communication with the waiter. Try it during the week, when the place is less busy, for a certainly calmer atmosphere.

The food was great and really inexpensive. The service was super friendly. The only thing I personally didn't like was the background noise.

As always, the only thing that was delicious was that I didn't have it in other L'Osterias: the pizza was the pepperoni with sticks on it, but otherwise everything was super good and the staff was very nice ♥️

Yes, it tastes very good, but the last time I noticed that the pizza makers do everything without gloves, whether it's salad or pizza, I really don't think that's that good, maybe the employees should wash their hands in between, that could be anything, but that day it wasn't like that. After he put the pizza in the oven, a broom was brought in to sweep the floor and then the next pizza was immediately topped without washing hands. I doubt whether that's so hygienic.

Super nice service, great food, great pizza. It's a bit loud for entertaining and chairs are a bit hard.

This time, unfortunately, the reception staff was very overloaded and unfriendly. Unfortunately the food was too spicy. Unfortunately, many people at the tables next door also said this. Please be careful with chili and pepper. And approach a person with a reservation in a friendlier manner.

Big, delicious pizzas. Thin floor, quite lavishly covered. Price performance is ok. Nice facility. Very friendly staff. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Dogs allowed.

This time we had dinner with 5 people and everything was perfect again. The service was also very good and we had a lot of fun. We'll definitely come back because we still have a chair that wasn't charged for (insider!)

As always... - Everything is TOP at L'Osteria Saarbrücken, we always enjoy being here when we are at an event in Saarbrücken. The service makes every effort, even if the restaurant is full - the service would then have to be increased a little - this would easily pay for itself in the higher possible sales.

5 stars – A perfect evening! I had a great evening at this Italian restaurant! From the starter to the dessert everything was perfect - the food was fresh, authentic and incredibly tasty. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, exactly how you would want it to be. Special praise goes to waiter Charley, who made the evening even better with his outstanding service. He was attentive, friendly and always had the right feeling for our needs. His recommendations were top and I felt completely comfortable.
