Great restaurant, delicious food! The price is reasonable!

The little one could have stayed in the oven for another two or three minutes. It was a bit too soft. The Parmesan cheese I ordered twice was missing, but they added extra salami that I hadn't ordered. Personally, I found it too cold in the restaurant. It might have been the table. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Way, way too loud! Even though we had a reservation, we were given a terrible table—why?! There were other tables available in a better location, not right by the entrance in the busy passageway. The salad was tiny and tasteless, and where were the ingredients listed on the menu? Pizza: Osteria pizza used to be good. This one was awful. Soggy cardboard. We sent it back. But after the second serving, we gave up and ate the toppings without the dough. After finding a long hair mixed in with the toppings, we completely lost our appetite. The concept: the main thing is noise—the customer shouldn't linger in the restaurant. It might be fun at first, but over the years it's just become annoying. The quality of the food has also steadily declined over the years. We will no longer be visiting Osteria chains.

Unfortunately, I can't give this branch 5 stars. The salmon pizza was just about okay – I found it quite outrageous that there were only 7 tiny pieces of salmon, each no larger than 1x1 cm, on the entire pizza. When I complained to the server, she simply said, "I'm sorry." My husband's pizza had the same toppings as the ones on Sylt or at the branch in Hamburg by the fish market. All in all, the service was good, though not as outstanding as at the branches mentioned above. The ambiance was okay.

It's actually a really great location. But during peak hours it can get a bit loud and crowded. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for a table. I would therefore recommend going outside of peak hours; then L'Osteria is great too.

There were three of us, and we ordered a salami pizza, a lasagna, and gnocchi with chicken strips. What can I say? It was okay. The pizza was alright, though the crust was perhaps a bit too thin. The lasagna was hot on the outside but still cold on the inside—so it definitely wasn't freshly made and certainly not heated through. The gnocchi tasted quite good, but the portion was rather small. Upon request, we also received some bread—two thick pieces with such a hard crust that you could easily have punched a hole in a drywall with them. For dessert, we had tiramisu, spaghetti ice cream, and panna cotta. The tiramisu had what felt like a 1 cm thick layer of cocoa, making up about a third of the total height—so the flavor was very cocoa-heavy. Unfortunately, the ice cream tasted stale, and the sauce was almost a bit sour. Only the panna cotta was perfect. The food was served quite quickly, which is generally good, but haste kills care (see: reheated but not cooked through). The service was very attentive and friendly – ​​even if the server kept interrupting conversations. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. The restaurant has a rustic decor, which has a nice charm, but when it's full, it's loud, very loud. All in all, not recommended, except perhaps for the pizza and the panna cotta.

A fantastic restaurant/pizzeria. The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, helpful, and understanding. I always feel very comfortable and welcome here. The food is top-notch. This place is always worth a visit in Kiel. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Delicious food, the antipasti platter was a real treat. Huge pizzas, and the rest of the meal came nicely packaged to go. It's quite noisy there. Reservations are necessary and can be made online, with confirmation and a reminder. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive.

The pasta was overcooked and mushy. The sauce was too dry, with no garlic flavor or fresh tomato taste. The pizza wasn't bad and tasted good. The service was excellent. What was annoying was the very loud music.

Today's experience was abysmal: A large group, orders weren't taken until 45 minutes after our arrival, and then nobody showed up again. The food eventually arrived, but after 2 hours and 10 minutes we were kicked out because the next guests had arrived… Great, everyone got their food at staggered intervals. Some of us had desserts on the table for 10 minutes and were kicked out while still eating. Completely unacceptable, and this was definitely my last visit. If they had used those 45 minutes wisely, it certainly would have been fine.

I had reserved a table for four. The receptionist told us to wait at the counter. She was showing later-arriving guests to their tables. We reminded her of our reservation and asked why all the other guests were being shown to tables immediately. She was very rude and said that the table wasn't ready yet. A couple who arrived after us were seated at a table for four. After waiting for over ten minutes, we were given a small round table. We complained that it was too small. A table next to it became free, and we asked to be given a smaller one, but she refused. That's not what I call service. It was a shame because we had organized the evening for our friend, who was celebrating her milestone birthday with us. Then we were also given the wrong pizza. On top of that, the noise level was unbearable.

We like to eat here with our group of girls. But if you take a longer break chatting and don't order anything else, you'll notice that this isn't welcome.

Great restaurant! Skilled waiters, who provided good service. Note. MUST reserve a table in advance, quite popular and full restaurant. The food was good - very good. Got what we ordered and our table was a complicated one due to children and an adult with 4 allergies. But it was no problem, got an allergy card and found several dishes that were to our taste. The only downside is that it was very noisy, and a bit small booths in relation to the size of the food/plate. But recommend the trip here. Skilled in meeting children, got drawing materials and the child's food was ordered first and came quite quickly.

I've been here several times for lunch now. The food is delicious, but the service is a disaster every time. They're either unfriendly, overwhelmed, or you have to wait half an hour to pay because the waiter is on break.

There were four of us. Two meals arrived 20 minutes early or late. The spaghetti Bolognese was too small, and the pasta pesto was lukewarm. Half a salmon pizza had only six small cubes of salmon on it. The atmosphere was awful, louder than a train station, and the music was terrible.

Despite the enormous stress and, as we were told, some new staff members, we had a fantastic evening with superb service and very, very good food. The atmosphere was very lively, but we found that to be a positive and had a lot of fun. We received exceptionally attentive service!

Italian dinner in Kiel this time, and what's more Italian than a pizza? The prices are obviously higher than what we'd pay for a pizza at home, but I'll have a Margherita with spicy sausage added. At least in an Italian restaurant, I expected to find real sausage and not spicy salami, but for Germans, the word "Wurst" includes Wurstel, sausages, and salami without distinction. A year in Dortmund taught me that well. Also in Dortmund, I had a pizza similar to this one: huge in diameter and thin, much larger than what I'd find at home, a German peculiarity, obviously. The pizza was good, though, as was the beer, of course, and the price was reasonable at €19.

For our taste, the restaurant is simply too small for the number of people who frequent it. There's so little space between the tables that you feel like you're sitting in a large party, making conversation difficult due to the overall noise level. The food, however, was really good. The pizzas are known to be enormous and taste fantastic. The only downside: they get cold quickly. The mushroom risotto was also very tasty, with plenty of porcini mushrooms that were clearly present and flavorful. The staff were also incredibly friendly and quick with our orders.

The food was truly delicious, and the reservation process went smoothly. Unfortunately, there were significant communication problems with our waiter. Misunderstandings arose right from the start when we placed our order, and throughout the rest of the evening, he largely ignored us. After we finished eating, no one (including the waiter) came to our table, and we sat there for about one to two hours without any further attention. Despite several attempts to make eye contact, no one responded. It was a real shame, because the food and the ambiance were excellent, but the poor service unfortunately marred the otherwise positive overall experience. When we asked about him, we were told that he was handing over a table and would then be leaving for the day. Even so, it would have been perfectly reasonable for him to briefly check in with us before his shift to ask if we needed anything else or if we wanted the bill.

The food was excellent. The beef at the insalata Manzo was the best (and most abundant) I've ever had at a L'Osteria, and we know a few. The pizza was good as always, and the service was excellent. The food was served the fastest here by far. That's not an advantage, but it's not a disadvantage either. We'd be happy to come back.

Overall, it was a really nice experience with some very tasty pizza. Unfortunately, the plates weren't cleared for a long time, and the music was too loud.

We had a lovely evening. The food was delicious. The service staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Luckily, we had reserved a table in advance, as it was very busy. If we're ever in Kiel again, we'd eat here again. :)

The food was good and the portions were huge. (Even the zoodles.) But there was a wire-haired squid in my food. That's normal when something like that comes loose while washing dishes. The atmosphere was quite loud. Fitting for the nearby train station.

We arrived on Sunday just in time for lunch. There were a few guests sitting at the tightly packed tables. We were seated, which I don't like at all… well, okay! We ordered a pasta and truffle dish from the lunch menu. The hint of truffle was noticeable, disappointing. Although not all of the tightly packed tables were occupied, the noise level had risen to an unpleasant level. The young waitress already seemed rushed at 12 o'clock.

We've been regulars since you opened and come to eat at least once a month (used to be more often, since we lived nearby). The service is consistently friendly and fast; you do a fantastic job every day 😘 We can now recite your delicious dishes by heart, but it never gets boring. For us, it's soul food, which we get when we need it to unwind, and we're always happy to see all the familiar faces, like Janine, Juliane, and the many other people on this great team. We also enjoy coming here with friends and colleagues. By the way, I recommend downloading the app to collect points. It's definitely worth it for us 😄

Worth highlighting are the family-sized thin-crust pizzas, pasta, and salads. The portions are generous, so you should go with an appetite for quality and value.

The response was "I can only carry two plates") 🙃 Okay...but isn't it standard practice to serve the two APPETIZERS first? Strange behavior. Unfortunately, lunch wasn't prepared properly either. I didn't complain about this, though, because it still tasted good with the wrong sauce and I didn't feel like waiting another 15 minutes. All in all Food OK Service could be improved Atmosphere? OK. It's not a particularly comfortable atmosphere, but you can still enjoy the food.

Directly across from the train station and the Sophienhof Center. Mixed groups of visitors – always a young crowd. Lively atmosphere, sunny but noisy outdoor seating (at the intersection) starting in spring. Always interesting and creatively styled food, and a friendly team. ---- The often student staff do a great job and put guests in a good mood! They listen to their guests' wishes. Another positive: neighbors living across the street or center visitors are happy to stop in for an espresso or a small drink to take a short break before and after shopping. In summary: A top central Kiel location for groups and other hungry people who enjoy company! *Always* very busy on weekends! Advance reservations 👌 are recommended.

Very disappointing I made an online reservation three weeks ago and got a table smaller than a pizza, squashed between two other tables, so I couldn't even sit. My back was already pressing against the neighboring table, where there were already guests sitting, and they weren't surprised either. My impression was that they were crammed with as many guests as possible into the smallest possible space. No thanks, I'd rather go somewhere else. We didn't order anything, left without comment, left, and had a better experience a few steps away.

After an exciting day, or for those who want a quiet meal, the location is relaxed and the service is casual. Ordering and payment are also completely contactless via QR code at the table. The music is tango-style and plays in the background at just the right proportions. The food wasn't particularly cheap, but it was very tasty. (This time it was pasta.)

We didn't have a reservation and still got a seat after a short wait – despite the high volume of guests! The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. Our server, Leif, was super personable, helpful, and always attentive, even though the restaurant was very busy. You have to like the noise level, but it fits the lively concept of the restaurant. I had a Hawaiian pizza with extra fresh tomatoes – it tasted absolutely delicious! It would have been nice if, considering the extra charge for the fresh tomatoes, they'd added a few more slices (there were only three cherry tomatoes on the large pizza). Still, it was great! According to my companion, the lasagna was delicious, but could have been a bit larger. Overall, a truly fantastic experience – we'll definitely be back! 🍕🍝👏

Bruschetta was bland and cold, and the pizza bread (as a starter) was nothing short of a Margherita pizza. Untypical and inappropriate if you're ordering pizza as a main course. A few slices of bread and a dip would have been more familiar and preferable. The toppings are sparse, but considering the pizza is huge, the prices are totally fair 👍🏼 You have to like the atmosphere... then you can have a good meal here 👍🏼😁 (and the leftovers the next day 😉)

Hello, we ordered a pizza and a lasagna. Unfortunately, the entire store was a bit overwhelmed due to a lack of staff. Nevertheless, the service was quite good. Unfortunately, the lasagna tasted like a ready-made lasagna from the refrigerated Aldi store. The pizza was OK, but cold.

I can only report on the pizza, not the pasta: Typically Frechise. A limited number of toppings, one basil leaf per slice of mozzarella (a whole 5 slices... insane), plenty of cherry tomatoes, a completely tasteless dough, huge, and barely any toppings. Coke made from syrup and water (tastes stale). The service is excellent. Very attentive and very friendly. Bottom line: Expensive, and anyone who defines the pizzas as great has never been to a traditional pizzeria.

It's a shame. It's actually a good and tasty pizza, but the delivery (especially with Lieferando) is a complete disgrace. When the pizza arrives, it's always cold, and after waiting for over an hour, the order is simply canceled, even though they say someone will come by in 25-45 minutes. Very disappointing.

The space in the room was used to its full potential, making it quite cramped and noisy. The food has been better—it was a huge pizza, but with a much too large, dry crust—so it was more of a normal size. The sauce for the pasta seemed a bit "stretched." A shame.

We visited L'Osteria Kiel three times this week and felt very comfortable each time. The atmosphere is perfect, the service is attentive and helpful, and the food was top-quality—whether it was salad, pasta, pizza, or coffee. One suggestion: the spicy oil is neither spicy nor great in taste. Just a few chili rings in the oil; it looks great and does what it's supposed to do...spicy! Thanks for the lovely time.

We arrived quite spontaneously and got a table after a short wait. The menu arrived quickly, and our drinks were taken. Everything went quite smoothly, including our order. If you're looking for a cozy spot to sit together, this isn't the right place, as it's always quite hectic and loud. We enjoyed the food. Overall, I recommend it.

My companion and I had pizzas, and we can only say they were very good and very large, so you should be quite hungry to manage the portion; otherwise, you can take the leftovers home with you.
