L'Osteria Kiel in Kiel

I find the location really appealing and the food really good. But the noise level is often too loud for a relaxed meal.

Were here for the first time and the food was great. The pizza was big and crispy and very very tasty. The noodles were also very tasty. The people were very nice and very accommodating. Next time in Kiel we will 100% eat here again. Top

The pizzas were delicious and large. The staff was hectic and bad-tempered. We were there with six people and were immediately asked to leave when our reservation expired.

I sat in the restaurant for over an hour without anyone taking my order. When I politely asked the waiter to come to my table, he ignored me. Later he even said: “If you don’t like something, you can leave.” Other guests who came after me were served before me. I felt very disrespected. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in the catering industry.

Yesterday we were registered at the LOsteria with 6 people. When we said on site that there were only 5 of us, we were rudely told that we would have had to say this over the phone so that they could change the table arrangements. We were then rudely given the table right at the entrance - it was drafty there - because the door to the outside was constantly being opened and people were standing right in the door. Then we ordered drinks, a starter and a main course. But we only got the main course. It has been changed. But that's not enough. I hadn't finished my starter yet when I already had the main course. 10 minutes later two more main courses came and another 10 minutes later the last two pizzas. I had already finished eating by now. That was totally wrong. A very busy and noisy pizzeria. We don't have to have it again.

Delicious as always! The staff was super nice to the children and there is always something to paint. The only drawback with the ambience is that it is a bit too narrow in places, but the amount of light coming through the large windows is very nice!

What was that? We have been here several times and have experienced one or two catastrophes; Today the bird was shot. We ordered our food and saw how it was prepared. Unfortunately, the pizzas were not brought to us directly because the waiter sat down right next to us with a (hot) plate of pasta. At this point we didn't have any drinks yet. We waited and waited until other waiters brought us our cold pizza. At the same time, the waiter (who continued to "sit" (or lay/lounged) next to us) talked to other colleagues about torn underwear and the last party. The whole thing was quite unpleasant for us, which is why we stopped visiting the restaurant.

We were there during our lunch break and each ordered a pasta dish. The taste of both dishes was okay, but the noodles were far too hard, really far from al dente. Due to the time pressure, we accepted it and ate it.

We got a seat even without a reservation (with the note that we should be through in 1.5 hours). Were more than happy with the service. I would like to give it more stars, the food was also great, we had pasta and lasagna and it was pretty quick even though the shop was full 👍🏻 great!! We would have liked to have stayed seated longer and unfortunately we often had to hear this sentence about the time limit, even at the neighboring tables. Which of course leads to a conversation. I think it's a shame that a lot of guests are being funneled through with this campaign, as it turned out that the guests after us also only had 1.5 hours. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that the service and food are highly recommended. We just had the feeling that drinking a glass of wine after eating wasn't desirable. Too bad. The music is still very loud.

Food arrived quickly but ice cold. With a pizza for almost 20 euros and a delivery fee of 6 euros, you can probably expect more.

Unfriendly boss. Different behavior is to be expected from a manager. This should also be taught in regular training courses. Kitchen apparently just as incompetent as some of the staff. One of two pizzas was delivered incorrectly and taken away again. When the pizza was brought as ordered, it unfortunately had to be refused because the other pizza had already been eaten. They were there to eat TOGETHER. As a result, the correct pizza should have been taken with us so that we could eat together as planned. I recommend further training for the team. It's not the first time that something has gone wrong in this branch and people are more than dissatisfied. Even one star is too much because of the incompetent management.

Far too loud, drafty corner unfortunately. Unfortunately, the pre-ordered drinks were not at the table when we arrived. Pizzas: dough very tasty, but you had to look for toppings. Zucchini noodles with prawns tasted of almost nothing (no salt or other seasoning, just slightly spicy). Cheeky: Portion of lasagna so small & just bland - pasta plates were "glued" together with minced meat, like microwave food! 8 small gnochi for a grown man... spaghetti ice cream & panna cotta so tiny for 6/7 euros... sorry, a lot has to happen in the kitchen!

Yesterday we were with friends at L’Osteria in Kiel and had actually planned a nice evening. The service was great – friendly, quick and attentive. The food was also okay, although nothing special. But then came the shock: after just two hours we were politely but firmly asked to vacate our table because it had been reassigned. We had just ordered another round of drinks and were definitely not “out of time”. Nevertheless, we were given the feeling that we should please leave now. That gave the whole evening a bitter aftertaste. We understand that restaurants need to plan well, but if you feel like an uninvited guest, you won't want to come back. A visit to a restaurant shouldn't be under time pressure - especially not at these prices! Conclusion: Good service, but when you are escorted out after two hours, you feel more like you are in a fast food restaurant than in a cozy Italian restaurant. Too bad!

We were there on a Saturday early evening. It was very crowded and correspondingly loud. The order was placed quickly. The drinks came promptly. We ordered 3 pizzas and 1x pasta. First came the pasta, which tasted very good but was a very small portion. Pizzas arrived about 15 minutes later, by which time the pasta was almost history. Pizza large and thin, but with less and less toppings towards the edge. The plates were far too small for the pizzas, so it was difficult to cut the pizza into pieces. Maybe you should think about making the pizzas smaller and filling them more evenly. But the taste of the food was good.

Very good atmosphere 👍 Friendly staff 👍 Food good and rich 👍 I particularly liked the fact that you can make a reservation but you don't have to and there is a card on the table where you can view your bill, share it and pay via the QR code. Just pay online and go. All in all, tipping was mandatory. Thanks to the team there in the restaurant

I've been a regular for years - but I've rarely been exposed like this. One of my best friends wanted to celebrate his birthday here. What was supposed to be a celebration turned into a debacle. One person ordered extra olives and received a pizza that had exactly 8 olives on it. When he complained, the waitress simply said that 8 olives were the standard for a pizza with olives. After a short discussion, a very eager young man came and was able to avert the fiasco. After we paid and spent over €300, we were told that we couldn't finish our drinks or that we had to change tables. All in all, a birthday that no one wants to experience. Too bad.

Very good service. Very generous portions. What we hadn't managed was even packed up for us, in an exemplary manner.

Tastiest pizza ever, nice service, great atmosphere…

I had reserved in advance and that was a good thing. As expected on a Saturday evening it was very busy. Our table for two was a round bistro table squeezed between two four-seater tables. Unfortunately, the restaurant chain's concept is more about quantity than class. It was very crowded, cramped and loud. Nevertheless, hats off to the service staff, the girls did a good job. The food was also tasty. It's okay in an emergency, but it has nothing to do with a relaxed atmosphere.

We ate different pasta dishes and all of them were tasty and satisfying. Didn't have to wait long for food either. It was a bit noisy as all the tables were occupied.

Nice restaurant, centrally located, easy to reach. The service was nice. The food, the pizza is wafer-thin, looks over the edge, but the part is without toppings, it's not my taste, the pizza could have been smaller but the edge was less dry. There is a monthly ticket that was given to us, I wanted a panna cotta from this ticket, the waitress just said it wasn't available and wasn't on the menu, it was from the last month. I was on February 6th. there and it is on the current monthly ticket. I then received dessert and was told there was something else. And that's exactly how it tasted, I don't know what it was but it was definitely not edible, the consistency was like silicone with no taste, carelessly sprinkled with cocoa powder. After a spoonful I left it alone, offering something like that is a disgrace and I had to pay for it too. I won't eat there anymore.

Typical lostaria franchise restaurant with more friendly staff than usual.

Nice pizzeria, although it was very busy, fast, super friendly service. The pizzas/calzones are huge and can easily be shared. Unfortunately, the lasagna didn't convince me, it was more for when I'm slightly hungry. What was a bit annoying is the music was too loud, so it was difficult to have a conversation in a normal tone, it would be nice if the music only played in the background. It was great that we were allowed to take the dog with us and there was a dog bar with water bowls in the entrance area. Overall we were satisfied and will definitely come back again.

Food was very tasty. XXL pizza that doesn't fit on the plate 🤣 With a QR code at the table you can order yourself or track the order in real time... and pay straight away at the end. As a technology freak, I think this is great 👍 - The ashtray is right in front of the door, when you open the door the smell regularly comes into the house... In our case the ashtray was simmering, which made it unpleasant... - The quiet places should be signposted, then you don't have to ask where to go 😉 - In addition, some of the tables are very narrow, so that the waiters hardly have any space. Overall it's very nice!!!!

Delicious huge pizza with salad and a large cola about €25. It's okay. You can have the leftovers with you and it will still taste good the next day.

Great, unfortunately you can often only get a seat with a reservation! But you can plan👌 no/poor parking options

To be fair, I didn't like the taste of the food, which is something personal I guess. It's just more of a personal taste. Drinks were good though. I guess I have to try something else next time, because I didn't like the lasagna.

Das Essen war mega lecker und die Bedienung auch sehr gut. Aber ich habe einen Tisch reserviert der wurde an jemanden anderen gegeben. Haben zum Glück noch einen platz bekommen aber direkt neben dem Kellner Pult waren schon sehr genervt der Mülleimer klapperte immer wieder und die speisenkarten sind öfters aufm den boden geflogen. Man hatte keine schöne Atmosphäre.

I have only had good experiences with the service (friendliness and attentiveness). Unfortunately, without pre-ordering there was a very long waiting time at lunchtime, but so far in the evening it was ok. The restaurant is always full. A good sign, but unfortunately it is quite loud and narrow. Pizza and pasta are very tasty. The pizza crust is rather dry, dips would be great here.

Worst pizza I've ever eaten. Half of the pizza consisted of a dry, hard crust, some of which was burnt and you couldn't even eat it anymore. In comparison, it was half the pizza you couldn't eat and 18 euros? What a disgrace! The covering was also very poor, there was hardly anything on it. No response to the price, even though we left a lot of money behind. Despite a precise reservation, we were crammed together with too many people at the table, which meant we couldn't eat the pizza. For me it was the last visit to this restaurant.

We really enjoy eating here, the staff is always friendly, quick and helpful. The pizzas are huge and always delicious. Pasta dishes are also recommended. In short, if you can tolerate a not entirely inconsiderable volume level during prime time, you're in the best of hands here. At less frequented times there is a clear 5/5 stars.

Everything was going well until the order was placed. But then you had to wait a long time for the food. The service noticed that and then I was paid for the drink. That's why overall 2 stars. Price performance doesn't fit for a small piece of lasagna. You can probably do better than pizza. Try it next time but not so soon.

The place is centrally located in front of the station, the pizzas are large and very delicious, the service is very attentive and fast.

Centrally located, with an interior that mixes lounge, industrial and art deco, the restaurant initially conveys an inviting character. However, it is quite loud and people sit close together. The service is extremely friendly - greeting at the entrance and escort to the square. Everything seems well-rehearsed and routine, rather efficient. However, the dishes are not for the sensitive palate. The Bruscetta, for example, presented itself with an ice-cold, not fresh tomato topping on toasted, warm bread. In my opinion these are then too stark contrasts. The tomatoes would have been better fresh and at room temperature and the grass experience would have been more rounded. The main course, a pasta nero with a so-called saffron cream sauce, shrimp and zucchini, was relatively uncreative in terms of taste and did not contain the slightest hint of saffron. The courses were served at a pace that unfortunately lacked anything resembling hospitality or a relaxed culinary experience. Conclusion: Not for connoisseurs. Something for the undemanding palate who wants to eat something while having a nice chat with friends and then moves on afterwards.

Great food, very nice and sexy waiters, reasonably priced, very nice atmosphere. I had a side salad, which was excellent, and a ham and mushroom pizza. The only drawback is that due to its size and because it is very thin, the pizza unfortunately gets cold quickly.

So I would have been happy to eat at an Italian restaurant. It was also my first time in this location. But I wasn't happy with the bruschetta because it wasn't originally Italian, even though I asked if the owner was originally Italian. I thought it was a shame to be served something like that, but the service was first class. The chef who prepared it had to work a bit. I'm sorry to criticize that, but I really would have liked an original bruschetta. It was watery, The bread wasn't crispy. It was just watery, if you had dipped it in water it wasn't tasty.

Very nice atmosphere and great food as well as nice service. I can't understand why people complain about a "big" pizza. Yes, the pizza is really big - I was shocked at first too. BUT, the pizza is extremely tasty and super digestible. 6 out of 5 stars for that :-) What I don't understand, however, is the extremely loud "background" music. We had to move because we couldn't have a conversation at the first table. At the second table it was a little better, but you had the feeling of having to shout against the music. This is absolutely ok for a bar/disco, but not for a restaurant. This topic is often mentioned in the reviews, but unfortunately nothing seems to change. Too bad. My advice: music a bit unfortunately, then you'll get 5 stars P.S.: We visited this restaurant twice more after this review, and what can I say? The volume of the music was much more pleasant. It's nice that criticism is sometimes accepted Top!!

A super tasty pizzaria. You can see directly into the kitchen how it is being prepared. The service is very friendly and also asks if you need anything else.

Actually a good restaurant, but the volume is just too high. On top of that, I got the wrong noodles, the taste was good, but the portion was too small. Just like my wife's pasta, the taste is great, but when my wife says she's not full, I'm surprised. The price is already high, but it's just bearable. The waiter is very friendly.

Addendum on October 21st, 2024 to my review: L'Osteria Kiel actually responded. Have you worked out the right "amount" of toppings? That's why you give me the tip to simply ask for the topping menu. So honestly, you can make a rather high-priced pizza even more expensive with sparing toppings, with perhaps a little bit more taste comes from it..... Why don't you even address the entire review/criticism? We were in this L'Osteria for the first time in Kiel. Since it was our wedding anniversary, we asked for a table for two. We were given a “really romantic” table right in front of the counter at the pick-up corner. There was a small round marble table (all the others are square and made of wood). So we had a pleasant station climate...😞. After we ordered our drinks and food (2x pizza rolls, one pasta and 1 pizza), we were looking forward to it. My wife's pasta came after 15 minutes, then nothing came for 15 minutes. When the waitress looked at us again, she said: "The pizza and the pizza rolls are coming soon." Now my wife was almost finished eating. The highlight is this giant pizza, but I took a little longer to find the topping. It was actually a slice of ham (nicely chopped 😉), 2 slices of salami and a number of side dishes, such as peppers, onions and fresh mushrooms (definitely a whole one) 🤣 Nice and thin and not much surface, this was really different in Bayreuth, Oberhausen and Kleve. So my wife's pasta was probably delicious. The 2 "slices" (really) of butter and the aioli were okay. Now our conclusion is mediocre. Pizzeria at the train station with a walk-through level.

Flotte lokaler åbent køkken lækkert menukort og fulde huse mange dage. Flere havde anbefalet at booke bord hvilket jeg også vil gøre. Der kan bestilles mad og drikke via QR, men der er også personlig betjening ved bordet. Menukortet rummer noget for en hver smag. Pizzaerne laves forrest i det åbne køkken. De er strukket godt og fylder mere end en tallerken. Pastaretterne er lækre. De byder også på risotto. Desværre ender de mange gode takter med at de mange gæster må hæve stemmerne ved bordene. Dette giver sammen med den manglende akkustikregulering og høje musik et uacceptabelt støjniveau Ligger centralt mellem by havn og banegård. Fine toiletter i kælderen
