L'Osteria Hamburg-Winterhude in Hamburg

We went to L’Osteria in Winterhude with a small group of 7 people before going to the theater and found it very pleasant and cozy there. The staff was friendly and quite attentive. The food was great! We all had different dishes, exclusively vegan and vegetarian, and everything was delicious. The drinks were also served quickly and reordering was no problem. We would definitely visit L’Osteria in Winterhude again – a great start to the evening! 😊

Actually quite good. Food was great. But the waitress set the card reader to the default 10% tip when paying. Then he babbled something incomprehensibly. I didn't notice and I didn't actually want to give a €15 tip. Since she was otherwise nice, I didn't say anything.

The store is ok. The pizza is primarily large, but the quality is average. The service was very attentive. There's a bit of unrest in the restaurant, you can tell that it's a chain, it gives the impression of system catering. Very good for larger groups, but I wouldn't go there with a small group or as a couple.

The aglio olio was so plain, it was just cooked spaghetti, which is so disappointing for over 12€. We couldn’t taste even a hint of garlic and we were charged 2€ for cheese that we ordered but never received.

Food very pleasant. Even special requests are always fulfilled and the service is always great, super friendly and helpful. The ambience is okay, the store is perhaps a bit too huge, which makes it a very noisy environment.

We went to L' Osteria for the second time today and were disappointed. The two halves of the pizza were cold. Just ordered takeaway pizza locally. Unfortunately it was not possible to pick up the pizza that had just been finished directly from the pizza makers. Was referred to the counter by a very unfriendly employee. Since all the employees were eating or busy with themselves, it took me 10 minutes until I finally got my now cold pizza to take away. Very bad service.

Delicious food, solid portions, nice service. Slightly smaller restaurant, therefore noticeably loud when the number of guests is high.

Well worth a visit during the week, the pizza is solid and the price is right. Unfortunately, this quality drops dramatically on busy evenings. I had bad experiences on weekends or on public holidays, for example the pizza was barely topped, there was no sauce all the way to the edge or the dough wasn't fully baked. It's a real shame, the staff should take the time!

We had dinner with you today. Unfortunately the pizza is far from good pizza! There is far too little cheese on the pizza and probably too little tomato sauce too. I haven't eaten such a dry pizza in a long time, it's just not possible! Not good enough in terms of taste either. Then I'd rather get a pizza from the freezer, it tastes better and only costs a quarter. In the future I definitely won't eat pizza from you, I'd rather stick to the pasta dishes. Otherwise the service was great and the staff was also very friendly. The ambience is ok, but it was almost impossible to have a conversation in the restaurant, it was way too loud, so we would rather visit another restaurant in the chain in the future.

The food has improved tremendously: the salad tastes fresh and the Pizza Funghi was so thickly covered with mushrooms that you could no longer see the base of the dough. So if you want to eat pizza in Winterhude, you should definitely go to l'Ostetia!

Disappointing experience We were there today and I have to say we were very disappointed. We were assigned a table but didn't receive any menus. After 10 minutes I went forward on my own and noted it once. It seemed like the staff wasn't attentive. After another 15 minutes no one came to the table to welcome us. Instead, candles were lit instead. As we were putting on our jackets, we were suddenly asked if everything was okay and the comment that we had been waiting for over 25 minutes to order something was only answered with an “oh!” Well, we left and there was no apology or anything.

Additional information based on the question - Everything is OK and the prices adapt to the times. The pizza is very good by German standards and the quality is relatively consistent. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the Pizza Alfonso. In the past this was at least the equivalent of a normal 28 pizza. It has now shrunk to what feels like 15 and I think the price/performance ratio is no longer appropriate. Unfortunately, the Salsicca Piccante is no longer as good as it was a few months ago. The service is very employee dependent. Sometimes super good, sometimes ok. Toilets are often a little under water - there is no soap and sometimes paper. Nothing serious but unfortunately it's not enough for 5 stars. For almost 20 euros a pizza, the toppings are really counted, depending on the pizza. It would be nice to have the opportunity to make the pizza more individual at no extra charge. But also understand that this requires logistical challenges that are often not feasible. Nevertheless, I still enjoy coming to you every now and then.

As always: if you don't get enough here, it's your own fault. Nice and attentive service. Huge pizza and, as always, a little louder

The pizza was good and reasonably priced for the local standard. A bit like a restaurant, but otherwise ok.

I've eaten here 4-5 times now because the food is always delicious. However, the service is always a disappointment, which is probably not due to the individual friendly service staff, but rather to the chaos and possibly the short staffing (?!). It happened several times that we didn't order a second drink or dessert, even though we would have liked to, because it takes forever for the waitresses to come to the table again. Last time, the starter was only brought shortly after the main course. While they are setting the table, the service staff sometimes talk to each other about what they don't like about the shift schedule. I often had the feeling that I was simply being processed quickly here rather than having a relaxing time. Individually, everyone is always very friendly, but unfortunately as a whole it's just bad service, which is why the chain has now worked out for me after a few tries.

The restaurant has now debited twice and the branch manager doesn't want to worry about the repayment now. About a week ago I had a wisdom tooth operation and unfortunately it still hurts when I chew, so I thought pasta would be nice for my lunch break and actually L'Osteria always convinced me. But today it was a strong disappointment or half-catastrophe. I decided on Tortellini alla Panda, when I got back to work I was really horrified to see that there was hardly any sauce and only 12 tortellini for €15. Unfortunately it wasn't just a shock, the tortellini were also very hard...in the future I won't go to L'Osteria anymore and would rather look for another shop. Of course, I understand that prices are rising, but the quality still has to remain the same.

The Vitello Tonnato was good. People had to pay extra for bread, that's petty. The pizza was nothing, the dough tasted like nothing. Poor quality cheese the tuna was dry and tasted rancid. Unfortunately not recommended. Unfortunately, the person responsible doesn't even read the criticism. What's the point of an answer like that, completely meaningless.

We ordered a pizza and pasta. The pizza was very watery and didn’t look appealing. The orecchiette di manzo al limone pasta was lacking flavor. The waiters were slow to attend to us and forgot part of out request. Overall, the restaurant did not meet our expectations, especially considering the high rating it has.

If you call, they have seats available outside to let you know that everything is full. And two people are not allowed to sit at tables of four. Not even at 26 degrees. Poor service people. Food was great as always, service in this restaurant unfortunately only one star ✌️ Edit: 6 service people for almost 40 guests leads to eternal waiting times. 20 minutes to ask for the bill. Maybe you have to set off table fireworks here to be seen. Here you are immune to waving, nodding and speaking politely.

As an Italian, very accustomed to it, I can testify that these Greeks know what they're doing. I ate one of the best Greek salads, very well cooked lamb (I suggest lamb with gorgonzola sauce and walnuts) and finally the bread was also excellent, which is often not offered in German restaurants. Certainly to be recommended.

We stopped in spontaneously and to be honest, we were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very nice, it was very quiet late at lunchtime. We also liked the menu and we personally like the fact that you can have the pizzas in half varieties, so we were able to order two types in one pizza. The pizzas are very large in diameter and I personally wouldn't be able to make one on my own. Good thing there were three of us. We would definitely like to come back.

The best pizza in the world. If you really want to eat pizza, just look for La Osteria, this restaurant can be found everywhere in Germany. Tip: If you're looking for peace and quiet, it's better to look for a table outside. Yesterday I was there for the first time with my colleagues. We enjoyed the food and drinks. We have been to this L'Osteria branch a few times now and the service has never been good. 😅 Those who were responsible for the tables were always overwhelmed or couldn't be found.😅 and this branch isn't big. At least not in relation to some other restaurants. Of course the pizza is still very tasty.

My pizza 🍕 Salami (spicy) was a straight A*! Very very tasty! The service was 🔝! The grappa was very tasty 😋. Unfortunately, Frisantino is only available in bottles. A bit loud at first, Italian. A great evening, thank you 🙏

It's not dramatic, but it differentiates between good and very good service. The atmosphere is typical LOsteria. Reverberant, loud and lively. You can like it, but you don't have to. The seating is mostly made of wood without seat cushions! A bit uncomfortable for me but just typical Italy. Concept is concept! Definitely authentic! But here and there there is also an upholstered seating situation. So there is something for everyone, if not already occupied. I like it when life is raging here...but it's semi-good for a relaxed conversation. Bottom line…Recommended!

I ordered here again today for self-collection. This time too, the service was very annoyed on the phone. The pickup time was 20 minutes past the actual pickup time, the monthly offers were unknown and there was no adequate answer at pickup as to how long the wait was. Despite everything, the food is still delicious. The atmosphere is loud but cozy.

It has basically become our regular restaurant. Everything is absolutely great! In particular, the praise goes to all the employees in the kitchen; our daughter always likes to stand in front of the glass and watch how the pizza is being made. Everyone who works there is incredibly nice to her and occasionally gives her a slice of salami or a tomato 😉 Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I went to this restaurant when the weather was relatively good. There was no rain forecast. I was forbidden to sit outside. There were even used dishes outside from which you can indicate that other guests were allowed to sit outside. I have already been disappointed by this and other L’Osteria branches. Sitting outside generally seems to be a problem at L’Osteria. It has already been refused in other branches in the best weather! In this branch the onions were missing from the pizza and I was offered raw onions. Only when I refused did I receive my pizza as I ordered and paid for it. Often the pizza doesn't arrive at the table hot. I had a lot of positive experiences at L'Osteria but the negative ones now outweigh the negatives and I'd rather go somewhere else. It's a real shame

All in all a stable average! It's just a chain, the service was greenish, the atmosphere is good and the menu is very diverse! So everything would be great if the food wasn't so average and quite expensive. Can be done, does not have to be. But portions are big!

Pizza is always top and huge, nothing else to say. But service and atmosphere is inferior compared to other restaurants. I find that with the exception of pizza, Losteria has become a bit overpriced (compared to quality). Reserving a table is sometimes complicated, as online reservations always show fewer free seats than in reality. But they are difficult to reach by phone.

A lovely outdoor and indoor area. Disability friendly entrance. The service was a bit slow when we needed to order or get the check. The food came fast. Delicious pizza and tiramisu!

The food is simply great. Best chain Italian ever! Price wise so far okay. You should look for the lunch and special offers to save a coin. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is always a bit loud and crowded, so not recommended for romantic dinner evenings for two. However, the best choice for lunch, larger groups and simply pizza in between. I get dinner here for my partner and I at least twice a month, and every now and then we also go out for pasta on site. Delicious selection of drinks too. It is better to make a reservation during peak times. Despite seating outside, it can be completely booked out. There is hardly any parking available, but there is a parking garage nearby. Otherwise, it's always worth a visit, centrally located and you can get the hottest, biggest pizza there.

The pizza was good, nice thin dough and it's huge. It's also very nice that you can order 2 versions. The pasta dishes were just average and tasted rather unimportant. You can hardly see the grilled vegetables under all the sauce. The tiramisu was also completely ok, I wouldn't order the mascarpone dessert with strawberries again. Although there is a lot, there are hardly any strawberries in it and the taste is poor. Then rather less and better. The service was friendly and actually attentive, but then served the food before the drinks (and they were actually aperitifs)...that's not possible. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but far too loud inside when it's full. And it's already showing signs of wear and tear: torn artificial leather covers on the benches. There should be a repair included in the price, because it's not cheap for what's on offer. Basically any good Italian can do that, no chain is better.

When ordering, we were given the opportunity to get different pizza styles on one portion pizza. Great! What a choice. This wasn't our last visit to a L'Osteria

Unfortunately there was salami on our vegetarian Margherita. Even after we informed the staff about this, all we received was an "oh, sorry". It's a shame, that's what no customer orientation looks like to us, thumbs down and no recommendation for vegetarians.

Since our favorite restaurant L'Osteria Bleichenbrücke is closed, we went to Winterhude. There is chaos in this store. We had to wait a long time for service to even order. Even longer for the food - pizza arrived cold. Unfortunately the service was so busy that we had no opportunity to complain about it. The service was simply unprofessional - no one asked in the meantime whether everything was OK and at the end when we complained about cold pizza, the answer came: They could have said that. But to whom please? We cannot recommend this restaurant

So they have such a nice ambience, such a great work surface in the pizzeria, but it's a shame that there aren't any real ingredients in there. My pizza Primavera ordered just under 16/17 € for it, really dry rocket without oil, pizza dough like a biscuit, mozzarella topping, I won't say that very terrible, what happened to L'osteria???? Such cheap ingredients??? You have everything Italian in furnishings, but the quality is lacking. We Italians make pizzas like this. We don't pay a little attention to what is on the plate for the guest. I hope that you can report better on your next visit

The employees were not unusually polite to me and treated me so badly

At L'Osteria you know what to expect, but you rarely experience such cheeky staff. Our waitress asked if my husband's pizza should be pre-sliced...we happily accepted. Unfortunately it came uncut and we asked a passing waiter if we could please have it cut. He told us that we should let us know sooner next time. Unbelievable, we did!! After my husband was halfway through his pizza and I unfortunately still didn't have my food, I asked the waitress (who was clearing a table) if I could still have my food. At first she snapped at me with “SAME”. The pasta with dried tomato sauce had probably been at the pass for a long time! Unfortunately never here again because the service concept is completely missing. The guests have to wait forever because Lieferando etc. are also still being served.
