L'Osteria Forchheim in Forchheim

Today on Holy Saturday I ordered 4 family pizzas (salami, ham, Margherita and Speciale) for the Ratschen children and all 24 children said that the pizzas were very tasty. They looked very tasty and were also very well topped.

I've been eating here regularly for years - for good reason: the food is simply great. Fresh, tasty, creative – the kitchen really does a great job. However, what increasingly spoils my appetite is the service. Or let's say: what's left of it. Instead of a smile, requests (that are expressed politely) result in an eye roll - probably in search of long-lost manners. The plates are placed in front of you with so much momentum that you almost want to duck. Clearing up is also quick - unfortunately so quick that the cutlery was thrown onto my lap. The reaction? Not an apology, just a casual “That was your fault.” Oh well – well then… A little extra request like parmesan is met with an annoyed “I have to get that extra now.” And when you ask to please prepare the dish without hot chili - and of course it is still served with chili - they say: "I told the kitchen" - so bad luck. I love the food, I really do. But the service is unfortunately completely wrong in terms of friendliness and customer orientation. Maybe a little refresher course in good behavior will help - or at least a look outside the box. Until then, I'll think twice about giving myself that again - even if it's difficult because it's really delicious.

Absolutely unbearable! The service today at 1:00 p.m. was not only unfriendly, but downright disrespectful. Instead of helping me, I was fobbed off with an annoyed look and an arrogant attitude. I have rarely experienced such poor customer service.

Although only a few tables were occupied, we had to wait over an hour for our pizza. When it was finally brought there was no cutlery at the table. We had to make the waitress aware of this first. Cutlery was brought, napkins only for 2 people, but there were four of us. By now the pizza was lukewarm. We also waited far too long for drinks. When we asked, another waitress wanted to bring something to the table, but we completely forgot about it. We were very disappointed and cannot recommend this restaurant

The food is always very good, especially the pizza dough is really good, very crispy. Service is sometimes a bit chaotic, as is the ambience inside. It's nice to sit outside.

L'Osteria in Forchheim is a good Italian restaurant with good food and friendly service. You can also sit comfortably and enjoy a drink in the outdoor area on the parade square.

Delicious food; very attentive staff, willing to help with any food intolerances; pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

The "ambience" outside is very good, we weren't inside. Service was good, the food came quickly, probably because it was close to closing time at 3 p.m. The food wasn't great: the salad with chicken fillet had too much sauce and the fillets were made of pressed meat and seasoned too strongly, the pizza had too much oil

Our desire for homemade pasta made us stop here. As always, the service is super nice and we were able to enjoy two super good pasta dishes. Each tagliatelle with seafood and beef strips. The noodles are not too hard, the fish and meat are perfect. The price is pleasantly low and we will definitely come back here soon! We were here again and today we were able to enjoy Spaghetti Vongole and Rigatoni Forno. Super tasty served with charm! TOP

Delicious food. Good value for money

So first of all, the pizza tasted great as usual (even if it was cold at home, but more on that later). The service this time left something to be desired. The online order from the morning never arrived, even though I received an email... Well, that can happen. So I ordered all 3 pizzas on site and waited for them, as it said almost 20 minutes. Well, that turned into 40... Neither a drink nor an apology received... What a shame. The pizza itself was still only lukewarm. Has it been lying around for a while? Probably after I had observed the boxes for a while. Only I can hardly imagine that they were mine... Well, I had a bad experience after 5 good ones.... I will still order again and hope it will be better the next time. Then there will be more stars.

Pretty much the best place I've been to recently compared to many others. We were a group of 10 people and everyone was very satisfied.

Employees are all very nice across the board and don't leave any guest waiting. We just don't want to discuss the price of beer right now, that's just the way it is in Forchheim city center. When the Paradeplatz construction site is finally finished, there will also be 5 stars for the ambience.

You can sit outside under huge umbrellas. The service staff is very friendly. I ate the Parma pizza. Just awesome. Before paying you get a shot of schnapps on the house. We recommend.

We actually enjoyed good food here but yesterday we weren't satisfied. We ordered the same dish as always with a different type of pasta and still got the wrong thing. I don't think it's bad, but the waitress told us we wanted it that way As compensation, she offered us a liqueur, which was served warm and in damaged glasses On top of that, we both had stomach problems after eating... We won't go here anymore...

I've rarely experienced such great service as here, friendly, fast. The food was on the table relatively quickly for six people 👍 The prices are completely okay👍 If you think you can get all the dishes within 5 minutes, you should go to McDonalds...😉 The pizza 🍕 was very good 👍. My pizza was slightly burnt and the olives weren't on it either. The service isn't exactly friendly. It takes a long time even if the restaurant is empty. They had forgotten to bring the drinks to the next table.

I visited this restaurant on March 15, 2024 based on a recommendation. I ordered a small still water, 8. Shrimp pan - shrimp lightly seasoned with butter and olive oil, with parmesan and 55. Tagliatelle Nere di Mare - black tagliatelle with vongole and calamari rings in tomato sauce. First of all, a large still water was brought to me, my comment that I had ordered a small one was not addressed. Dish No. 55, said tagliattelle with vongole (according to the menu). Although these came with tomato sauce, I looked for the vongole in vain, but there were mussels in the dish instead of the vongole. The service didn't mention anything here. I called service and pointed out that I had ordered tagliatelle with vongole. I was then told very unkindly that there were mussels in the dish. My suggestion that vongole are higher quality shells compared to mussels was ignored. Instead, the service person replied that it was only when she picked up the dish from the kitchen that she was informed that Vongole was currently out of stock or that the delivery had not been delivered. So the server knowingly served me a dish without informing me of the change. When I was serving it, I would have expected whether I would still like the dish, because that's how service staff work in other restaurants. The taste of the dish was not outstanding. I would have had to return the dish, unfortunately due to lack of time during my lunch break that wasn't really an option for me today. At the end, the full price for the dish was charged (just to mention, it wasn't Vongole, but mussels in the dish) and they didn't even suggest grappa or espresso on the house, as I've experienced at other restaurants have.

We sat outside for almost 30 minutes, then someone came (even after eye contact and a wave). The gentleman wanted to “take a quick spin” and then take the orders. After another 30 minutes we left. Only the location is nice. Trying to delete reviews two years later under the guise of defamation is doubly pathetic. This corrects from two to one star.

Went to L'Osteria for dinner on Friday. Pizza, bruscetta and pasta are highly recommended. The service is probably new but makes a lot of effort. You can definitely recommend the Osteria.

The crowning achievement was dish number 55, said Tagliattelle. Although these came with tomato sauce, I looked for the Vongole in vain, but there were tons of mussels in the dish and a few prawns. The service didn't mention anything here. I called service and pointed out that I had ordered tagliatelle with vongole. I was then told very unkindly that there were mussels in the dish. My suggestion that Vongole are high-quality mussels compared to mussels was deliberately ignored. Next, the service said that it was only when she picked up the dish from the kitchen that she was informed that Vongole were currently out of stock. When she served me the wrong dish, there were no more clues to me. I would have expected this to be pointed out to me when it was served and also whether I would still like the dish. I haven't experienced such bad service in a long time, especially since the dish with the frozen calamari rings and way too many mussels wasn't particularly tasty either. I would have had to return the dish, unfortunately due to lack of time during my lunch break that wasn't really an option for me today. At the end, the full price for the dish was charged and there wasn't even a grappa or espresso on the house. Unfortunately I cannot recommend L'Osteria.

The food wasn't bad, but unfortunately it wasn't 100% convincing. The tagliatelle di manzo were very heavy. Unfortunately, Bruschetta didn't perform either.

The food is delicious, the service is nice and quick, the only negative thing is that it is very loud in the restaurant (when there is a lot of activity).

We ordered two pizzas, unfortunately the rocket pizza had rocket on it, I only discovered that after I drove home. I only took a quick look after picking it up and unfortunately didn't recognize the meat straight away because of the rocket 🤦🏻‍♀️. Unfortunately I had to throw it away because I don't eat pork. The website doesn't say anything about ham for the 88 arugula, I just didn't want any parmesan. Driving back and picking it up again is now inconvenient for me. Otherwise, I think it's quite good that you can place orders online and it's also stated when it's ready for pickup.

This place is a clear no-go. They are very rude. We sat there for half an hour and no one came to our table even though we asked about service. As we left the restaurant I told the waitress (blond hair) our disappointment. She just said "too much today" no apology etc. If their service is like that, I don't want to think about their behavior in the background like in the kitchen.

02/05/2024 Edit/Addendum: Following my review here from January 27th, 2024, the boss contacted me personally through a friend. According to my detailed report, he was probably able to find out who we were that evening when asked, since he wasn't there at the time. Well, EVERYONE deserves a second chance, in my opinion. So we were there on February 5th. - at our own request - again on site and ordered exactly the same dishes. This time everything fit perfectly - just as I always knew it from this location. The boss himself was also there and of course he discovered us at some point and sat down at the table with us. We spoke very openly about this evening (01/27/24) and really went through every point of criticism. The boss never blocked or looked for excuses, on the contrary. He listened to everything and agreed with us that something like that definitely shouldn't happen, even if he wasn't there himself. He really reflected on the whole topic - and no, I wasn't "bribed" ;-) - and promised to follow up on it in every respect. In addition, he personally apologized to all of us what felt like 1,000 times for the kitchen's missteps and invited us to a meal on his account. I also told him that it would be important to comment on any other negative experiences here and on other platforms. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the time or the leisure or even a little bit of the technical background to do it. Well, that's the way it is, you have to accept it. However, it should be noted that ANYONE who has a complaint (of any kind) can and should always contact the boss directly. He will definitely take care of it. Well, that's a start - right? So we will happily accept this apology and will definitely visit the restaurant again. At this point I would like to say thank you again for the long and constructive conversation, because unfortunately that is no longer particularly common in the catering industry today. Thanks for that! 01/27/2024 We've been there several times and have always been satisfied - actually. However, on our last visit, we were bitterly disappointed. First we were served the red wine at a temperature of a Pilsner. After our complaint, this was taken back without any problems, with the assurance that it was a mistake and that we would get a new glass. Unfortunately, the next red wine was just as cold - inedible. The third time you simply warmed the glass with a lighter and poured the same cold wine back in. We then ordered white wine because it was just embarrassing. The food continued. The first starter - bruschetta - was a carelessly unseasoned piece of baguette slice with pure and bare tomato on top. No spice, no fresh herbs, no oil etc. The second starter - beef carpaccio - was equally disappointing. 3 slices of beef on a bit of arugula with a slice of the disappointing bruschetta. The whole dish was neither seasoned nor added any oil etc. - not to mention the lack of parmesan. The first dish of the day (mussels with white wine sauce) was okay - you can't really go wrong with fresh ingredients. The second dish - Pizza Marinara - was a disgrace to say the least. Very small pizza with what felt like just 8 small shrimps, 5 small squids and the rest filled with crab meat substitute. The Aperol Spritz I ordered tasted like "feet asleep" - as if there was simply not enough Aperol in it and Prosecco and soda, if available at all, no longer had any carbon dioxide! This was then taken back and exchanged. The Grappa Riserva that was finally ordered was then served in a “Jägermeister schnapps glass” - thank you, we are served.

This time we went to a Christmas party in a separate room. It was beautifully decorated and the whole meal was delicious! There is a wide range of pizza, pasta and typical Italian dishes. The ambience is particularly nice because there is a large window fronting the sidewalk. As always, the service was great, highly recommended!

Das Essen ist sehr gut und die Qualität ist hervorragend. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich haben nichts auszusetzen und kann es 100% weiterempfehlen.

Toll war auch der extra Knoblauch und Chili zum Toppen. Sehr sehr lecker. Das Tiramisu ein Traum. Wir würden 5 Sterne geben allerdings sind die Gerichte auch relativ hochpreisig. Daher nur 4 Sterne. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir haben am selben Tag einen Tisch bekommen. Die Atmosphäre war schön. Ich hatte Pasta zum Essen, die ich nur empfehlen kann. Hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Personal war freundlich und es war nicht zu teuer. Sehr gerne wieder. 🤗

Gutes italienisches Essen. Freundlich zu Hundehaltern

Leckeres Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienungen.

Etwas ungewöhnlich, das man zwischen 15-17 Uhr kein Essen bestellen kann. Gegen 17:20 Uhr wurde unsere Essensbestellung endlich aufgenommen, auf das wir dann nochmal 40 Minuten warten mussten. Die Lasagne würde ich wegen der Größe nicht empfehlen. Die Nudeln waren leider etwas verbrannt, dennoch war das Essen sehr lecker und wir würden nochmal hingehen.

Nach über einer halben Stunde nach der Bestellung gefragt, ob unsere Vorspeise vergessen wurde. Kellner wollte sich informieren, kam nicht mehr. 20 Minuten später eine andere Kellnerin gefragt, wo unsere Vorspeise bleibt, sie wird sich informieren. 10 Minuten später kam sie zurück und meinte, dass das Bruschetta aufgrund einer Großbestellung für Take away aus sei, aber dass unser Hauptgericht gleich kommen würde. Nochmals 15 Minuten später kam die Kellnerin mit dem Bruschetta und meinte sie hätten doch noch was gehabt. Nach Nachfrage auf Besteck und einem zwei zusätzlichen Tellern kam nichts. Bruschetta musste mit der Hand und ohne zweiten Teller gegessen werden. Ziemlich schnell danach kam unsere Hauptspeise, wieder ohne Besteck. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns von einem anderen, unaufgeräumten Tisch der Besteckkorb hingestellt indem teilweise nur Messer dein waren, keine bzw. nicht für alle ausreichend Gabeln und eine Serviette bei 8 Personen. Nachbestellung der Getränke kam zum Schluss gar nicht mehr. Sehr schlechter Service. Essen wurde teilweise nur auf die Teller drauf gelegt ohne es nur ein bisschen zu dekorieren, dass der Gast sich freut es zu essen. Insgesamt haben wir unser Essen nach 1 1/2 Stunden bekommen, obwohl das Restaurant nicht voll ausgelastet war. Schade, dass in der l‘osteria Forchheim das Take Away Geschäft vor den Gästen im Restaurant bevorzugt wird. Das war das letzte mal, dass die mich dort sehen.

Ich kenne die Osteria schon seit ich nach Forchheim umgezogen bin - also mittlerweile 11 Jahre. Über den gesamten Zeitraum habe ich dort gleichbleibend hohe Speisenqualität erlebt, dazu schnelle und freundliche Bedienung und einen supernetten Chef.

Essen preislich auf höheren Niveau,hatten sehr lange auf Essen warten müssen,da die Tische im Außenbereich voll ausgelastet waren.Dafür war das Essen frisch und sehr lecker. Reservierung empfohlen.

Tolle Sitzplätze außen - perfekt für ein schönes Abendessen im Sommer. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und man hat eine gute Auswahl. Zudem ist der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen wieder :)

Wie immer ist es in der Osteria schön, draußen zu sitzen bei dem Wetter ein Genuss. Lecker Essen und Trinken dazu. Das passt einfach ;)

Zum Treffen, etwas trinken ist die L'Osteria zu empfehlen. Habe mich hier mit Freundinen getroffen und bekamen einen Platz im "Nebenraum". Der Service ist sehr nett, allerdings hätte er gerne häufiger vorbeischauen und fragen können, ob wir noch etwas trinken oder zahlen wollen. Ob das immer so ist oder eine Ausnahme wg vieler Gäste, wenig Personal kann ich nicht beurteilen. Mein Essen war gut, nichts aufregendes, Portion genau richtig. Meine Freundinnen haben sich für das "Tiramisu" entschieden. Leider waren alle nicht begeistert und haben alle nur einen Bruchteil davon gegessen. Es bestand aus Sahne und Biskuitboden, von Kaffegeschmack, Mascarpone etc keine Spur. Es gibt durchaus gute Confinience-Produkte, das angebotene war leider keins davon. .

Ambiente ist natürlich durch die "Jahrhundertbaustelle" Parade Platz gedrübt. Ansonsten sehr nette Bedienung. Mein Gericht nicht aussergewöhnlich, aber gut und schmackhaft.

Guter Service, sehr netter Chef. Die Nudelgerichte waren sehr gut gewürzt. Die Empfehlungen des Chefs sind klasse, keine typischen Standartgerichte. Portionen eher klein. 1 Stern Abzug für den gemischten Vorspeisen-Teller (Scampis hart und trocken, Hähnchen viel zu lange gebraten, fast kein Gemüse, ungewürzt). Viele Außenplätze unter großen Sonnenschirmen.

Pizza war sehr lecker. Scharfes dazu und Knoblauchöl war auch top, genau so wie die Bedienung und das Ambiente. 👌🏽 Aktuell (06/23) aber riesen Baustelle daneben 🚧

Die Lust suf selbst gemachte Pasta hat uns hier einkehren lassen. Wie immer ist der Service super nett und so konnten wir zwei supergute Nudelgerichte genießen. Jeweils Tagliatelle mit Meeresfrüchte und Rinderstreifen. Die Nudeln nicht zu hart, Fisch und Fleisch perfekt getroffen. Der Preis angenehm niedrig und somit kommen wir sicher bald wieder hierher!

Immer wieder gut ist dieser nette Italiener in Forchheim! Die hausgemachten Tagliatelle mit Meeresfrüchte und Hähnchen, waren gut gelungen, die Nudeln zu deutsch, sprich viel zu bissfest, aber die Portion groß und geschmacklich sehr gut, dazu guten Hauswein und wir waren sehr zufrieden mit Essen, Service und Preis.

Meine Frau hatte Spagetti agli olio, dafür musste Parmesan extra bestellt werden, das war dem Wirt anscheinend zu anstrengend. Zu diesen Gericht wird in ganz Italien + Deutschland immer Parmesan gereicht. Das zweite Gericht Rigatoni war leider alles aus der Dose. Zusätzlich war der Wirt äußerst pampig und hat uns nach einer Beschwerde seines Lokals verwiesen. Es ist anzunehmen an, das er aus unseren Steuermitteln genügend Coronahilfe bekommen hat. Hier werden wir mit Sicherheit keinen Cent mehr lassen.

Zum Fußballspiel bekamen wir ohne Reservierung, einen super Platz im vollen Gastgarten, obwohl alles reserviert war. Der Service super schnell und wir hatten 2 super Pizzen mit Ruccola und Parma auf dem Tisch. Selbst wie der Sturm den Außenbereich ungemutlich machte, wurde mit schneller Nadel improvisiert und alle Gäste wurden gut untergebracht und versorgt. Super Service, lecker Pizzen, tolles Lokal. Wir kommem bei besserem Wetter wiederhierher.

Hallo, wir haben heute Pizza in der L‘Osteria geholt. Die Pizzen waren eine Vollkatastrophe. Der Teig war eine Frechheit und einer Pizza nicht würdig. Mehlig, trocken und bröselig. Die Ränder flach wie der Bodensee. Ich verstehe leider gar nicht warum man in Deutschland solche Probleme hat eine gute Pizza zu machen. Absolute Schande. Schade!

ein kleiner Hunger zu Mittag und hier haben wir etwas Pizzabrot, Bruschetta und Cappuccino bekommen. Gut für to go und geschmacklich sehr lecker . Preislich super fair und die Leute sehr freundlich. Wir kommen wieder zu normalen Zeiten.

Die Steinofenpizzen sind gut und empfehlenswert. Nur der Service war nicht ganz so schnell wie erhofft, da vermutlich zu viel los war. Nichtsdestotrotz sehr freundlich.

L'Osteria è un ristorante italiano in pieno centro di Forchheim che propone antipasti, primi piatti, insalate e pizze. Qualità in generale buona, pizze discrete ma restano le migliori dei dintorni secondo me. Locale arredato in stile elegante e suddiviso in due sale; sulla piazza antistante presenti tanti altri tavoli durante le stagioni meno fredde. Prezzi nella media, personale gentile.

Four persons. Two meals were extremely burned and the four plates had a very bad presentation. Looks like the restaurant is not managed by Italians. No chance to go back. Life is too short for bad meals.
