The evening in the Losteria was a real delight. We felt very well looked after and served. Our waiter, Daniel, provided us with food, drinks and a good mood.

Great to sit outside, service had and unfortunately felt forgotten but still really very friendly. But what I find a disgrace is the topping of the pizza...if I pay 3-4 euros more for a vegetable pizza than for the Margeritha, some vegetables would be appropriate..

Unfortunately the reorder was forgotten despite the request!!!

Despite the empty restaurant and a total of 6 service staff, we unfortunately had to wait 10 minutes until we were allowed to order drinks... then unfortunately the drinks stood unattended on the counter for 10 minutes while our service staff polished cutlery and chatted in the kitchen... Fruit flies then cavort in the Lilé… Apparently Sunday 4:30 is not a good time. Food was great and ready after 10 minutes.

Tried again after the last disaster and was surprised. 180 degree turnaround in service, thank you for the fast and friendly service Fabienne. The food was also very good - no comparison to last time. Therefore, a significant increase in the rating.

Die Bedienung ‚Fabienne‘ war super nett und hat uns sehr gut beraten. Leider war unser Fleisch vom vitello tonnato zum wiederholten Mal mit viel Fettanteil und dafür dann 13,50€ zu bezahlen hat uns sehr geärgert…(damals haben wir unser Missfallen auch der Bedienung gesagt) … das Fett haben wir von allen Scheiben entfernt und auf einen separaten Teller gelegt…vielleicht fällt sowas ja in der Küche auf !!! Trotzdem, so eine Aktion finde ich :-(( Vitello werden wir dort nicht mehr essen!

Our waitress Fabienne was great (attentive, nice and friendly and always kept an eye on her guests; we never had to wait long because she was always looking around.) Unfortunately, our Vitello Tonnato once again had fat edges everywhere... we had to edit every slice, really annoying and for the price of €13.50....:-(( Unless something happens, this dish is not recommended.

We were surprised that such a delicious brunch was offered here: great selection (even for vegetarians, something other than rolls with cheese ;-)), nice ambience and nice service.

Also vorab, mein erster Brunch dort. Und auch der letzte. Essen soweit ok, wenig Auswahl. Kaffee frei, Wasser oder Saft nicht. Dafür etwas zu hoher Preis. Das schlimmste: Musik. Nicht laut sondern genau 2 Titel im Dauer Wechsel. Genervt keinen Appetit mehr gehabt. Das ist Folter.... Nie wieder....

Cold food, service knew nothing about the menu. You don't ask for this, but you can offer to ask. An hour after the table was partially cleared, we weren't even asked if we needed or wanted anything else. I'm happy to pay for service and delicious food, but it was a disaster. Some noodles were so hard that you could only put them on the edge of the plate.

We are regular guests and always enjoy coming back. Great food and luckily not as crowded as other restaurants in the chain. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the toilets has left a lot to be desired lately. We hope that things will improve in the near future.

The indoor and outdoor tables were being cleaned when we arrived at 12:00 p.m. The reserved seating area in the winter garden was ready. The staff was attentive. The food and drinks came as requested. Bread for the salad and parmesan cheese came without further request. A few years ago spaghetti was still cooked al dente - I haven't experienced that on my last visits or today. The pizza is huge (43cm) and really good.

Wonderful waitresses - very service-oriented, incredibly friendly, smiling (despite the unpleasant outside temperatures on a Tuesday evening) and accommodating. Everyone also tried very hard to offer the dog water. If only all service staff were like that... :-) Our salads also tasted very good. We like being here.

L'Osteria: set up like any other, staff nice and accommodating. The pizzas are big enough to share, well topped and crispy. All in all a successful evening, we'll be back.

I ordered to be picked up today because I'm at the Evk hospital next door, but I'm not thrilled. The pizza was cold and the slices of salami were only one slice per piece. The pizza was cut into 6 pieces and the side dish cost over 2 euros. It's a shame. The taste and size were okay, but I wouldn't eat there again

When we were served by Ms. Yavuz today, everything went great. Even our special requests were correctly taken into account. Food was good.

Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and courteous service of the waitress Hanife! Always my pleasure.

I found the atmosphere here very pleasant, as did the staff, who were very accommodating.

The food was okay, but that's the only positive thing about the restaurant. The long waiting times, even though it wasn't full, and the service are unfortunately just as bad as described in all the other reviews here.

1. Invoice is not given even after asking three times. 2. We had to wait over an hour for pasta even though there were only 6 tables in the restaurant. 3. Drinks arrived with half-melted ice cubes in them, there was already a puddle of water when they were brought. 4. The wrong food was brought to you and then you had to wait a long time again. 5. the only thing the service staff does is collect money, they don't ask you whether you would like to drink or eat something else or whether everything was OK. This is something you don't see at other restaurants. Overall, our visit was unfortunately not recommended. We have been there three times now and unfortunately it is always the same, at first we thought okay, the first time we might have had a bad day, but the second time was exactly the same and the third time again so. However, there are better restaurants where the service and the waiting time are much better and friendlier.

Great huge pizzas, super modern, great service and an amazing taste experience

Bad service; Unfriendly, no understanding of service, how to serve let alone hygiene (wiping the glass with a table cloth). Way too loud, even though it wasn't full. Spaghetti ice cream should be unnamed or not sold as such. No cream, unfortunately a dollop of strawberry sauce isn't enough... I won't be coming back.

If you don't want to wait long for your food and appreciate good service, you probably shouldn't dine here. First of all, the dishes are really not bad. However, we had to wait 30 minutes for the menu. Then after ordering, another 1 1/2 hours for the food, even though there wasn't much going on. We were not asked whether we would like to order another drink or something similar. In addition, unfortunately none of the parasols were open and we sat in the middle of the blazing midday sun (we then moved to be at least somewhat protected) Maybe we had a bad day, but unfortunately I often hear similar experiences from Castrop.

We have been here many times. So far there have been no problems. Unfortunately, today we were massively ignored by an employee. All the tables around us were served except us. The employee looked at us several times. But apparently didn't want to serve us. After waiting forever we got up. Such people simply aren't allowed to do the job if they aren't even able to present the menu to customers.

We actually like going to L'Osteria. Unfortunately this time it wasn't so good. Even though it wasn't really full, everything took quite a long time. The waitress seemed totally annoyed and didn't want to. Questions annoyed her and she answered things like “I can make it like that for you if you want.. it doesn't taste good.. but if you want it that way...” In the end, one dish was completely forgotten and it arrived 10 minutes after the one Everyone else's food. No apology, not a word about it. What a shame! Mistakes are human... We then had to go to the waiters ourselves to place further orders, otherwise no one would come to the table. We thought that was a real shame! It's possible to have a bad day, no doubt about it. But that really wasn't nice! Food still great!!!! Service that day was terrible.

This was my third time eating there with my husband. The food is really delicious. Finally a decent pizza & super tasty pasta. Ambience is very nice. Unfortunately, on our last visit we had to wait 20 - 25 minutes just for our drinks to be taken. Waiting times are far too long, hence a star deduction.

Same problems for the 3rd time in a row. It takes an awfully long time from ordering to serving. At 30+ temperatures, cold drinks that feel stale, like in my case Cola Zero, are served with zero carbon dioxide and heartily chilled. We didn't see any ice cubes anywhere. The ambience seems to be great and the service is nice, but the management doesn't seem to recognize the problems. NoGo

Two of us were eating on site today around 7 p.m. It was a very warm day and there is no air conditioning in the store, it was really hot and we also waited over an hour for our food even though the store was half empty. The order was taken relatively quickly, but we sat for a total of 1:25 hours until the food arrived. I had a vegetarian pizza with vegetable mushrooms and rocula. I felt like I was given half a Margherita.

Absolute disgrace. Eating far too late for the second time. Order canceled again and you can keep your free food. For me the shop is done. I'm pissed off

Great location - service ok, pizza tasty but too al dente and too cross

I don't like the structure. You have to wait too long for the food. There is no trace of Italian atmosphere at all.

The LOsteria in Castrop-Rauxel is a nice place to unwind for a while. At least I always feel comfortable and the beautiful background music immediately gives me a holiday mood. Like any holiday, it always depends on luck. Happiness, whether the service is good, the waiting times are pleasant and the ingredients are available. The waiting times are usually completely ok. Especially when it's full, you quickly notice that there's certainly a certain lack of staff here, and if you look closely you'll notice that some things, such as bread with salad, are always handled differently. Either you get it directly or you say so when you order. And then sometimes you wait in vain. Or drinks that are freshly made from the counter and are just waiting to be used - but no one feels responsible for them at that moment. But it shouldn't sound so negative. The food is the best that the system catering in Castrop has. POINT. As long as the ingredients are present, it tastes really good. And the pizza is also really good and certainly the trademark of LOsteria, alongside the great interior design. The service ? It's usually good and is accompanied with real warmth, despite the stress of the staff. Thumbs up for that! The young Vietnamese waiter Daniel is particularly praiseworthy. Real sunshine, nice, friendly and always very willing to give the guest a nice stay. Keep it up, he's a top employee. One negative thing at the end. The sharpness of the knives is similar to the lottery. Unfortunately, many knives are so blurry that any butter would refuse. SHARP KNIVES PLEASE - ONLY SHARP KNIVES. Ciao

I was here today by chance. Shortly before a Grönemeyer concert I had to eat something quickly. I did not have much time. I mentioned this to Hanife. She passed on the information from the kitchen and my food was served very quickly, tasty and super friendly. Thank you for that! It was a good start to a great evening!

The food is ok. Pizza is huge but only lightly topped. The calzone is very doughy. Filled in the middle and then about 7-10cm just dough. Even though the shop was only about 1/3 full, the food took a long time.

We were there for brunch with seven girls. The display in the breakfast area was very manageable. There was also some difficulty in clearing up the food. Just like clearing the tables. We were all very disappointed

Been there with friends several times on Friday evenings. After standing at the entrance for 20 minutes, we finally got attention from the staff so we could finally take a seat. After a 2 hour stay - I didn't even have the chance to order anything, instead the staff flirted and laughed with each other at the bar. At the end when paying the very last thing, employees kept the remaining money or typed in an extra 10% tip... Got it straight away advised not to get a tip. We were then ignored, no goodbye. Very unfriendly staff. More than experienced now. Why tip in such crappy conditions?

Service great. Food and drinks very tasty. Sunday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. there was such an extremely loud and painful Mexican noise that it hurt my ears.

Spent a total of 40 minutes sitting there waiting for the first order to be taken. The shop looks good and we would have liked to try the food, but the service really leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress walks around the store in slow motion and didn't notice us (it wasn't busy). Not recommended in Castrop Rauxel. Then we went to Herne, where we were served for the first time after 3 minutes. If you could give 0 stars, I would have given 0 stars.

Never again! Dirty sofa with stains! Getting a broken wine glass. Pizza tastes like nothing with olive oil. Torn pizza base, like it came out of the trash can! What a shame! It's getting worse and worse! The employees try their best, unfortunately it's not enough! Thanks !

The food was quite ok. But there were no pizza rolls or bread with the salad; you would have had to order that separately. There are no biscuits with coffee either (anymore). These are all such small things that overall are a bit of a shame.

It was a lovely evening with delicious food. Drinks and food were quick and good. We would love to come back.

Objective assessment. DISAPPOINTED The waiting time for the waiter to come was 30 minutes and another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. LIPSTICK RIM on the glass, the waiter said to his friend to play it down in a funny way: you could have wiped off your lipstick first.... impudence You've probably never heard of germ transmission as a hygiene rule. THERE WAS NO COMPENSATION. Children's portion of gnocchis and penne for 15 eus per portion, totally overpriced for below-average service. Soggy Caesar salad... Pepperoni from a jar with a stem, prepared without love. Espresso without the obligatory glass of water, just weak. My calzone was also completely wrong... I'll save myself the explanation. It has diminished significantly, unfortunately, I used to think it was great... well, it used to be.

Very very nice staff! One pizza was completely black from the bottom. The other pizzas were great, maybe just take a look next time. Otherwise super delicious!

We ordered 4 pizzas. At first there was a 20 minute wait, which probably increased to 40 minutes even though there was hardly anything going on. The waiter spills a drink and tells me your eye was probably quicker. Sorry I don't get the joke!! It sucks because I was briefly upset that the store was disorganized because my colleague waited 5 minutes for his change. The condition came with “you could have paid with a card” what the hell does it matter to the waitress whether we pay in cash or with a card?! And lastly the pizza was so cold and not tasty. Thanks for nothing. Juice shop.

We were extremely surprised by this place. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the service is very nice and polite. The food is very good. The portions are large and, especially for Germany, very affordable. I can recommend it with clear conscience.

Very nice here and clean and tasty

Actually a pleasant pizza restaurant, if it weren't for the pizzas for pick-up. Ingredients are missing several times, or ingredients are only added sparsely. The management, Ms. Ömer, is informed; improvements were promised, but there is a lack of implementation. As you can read from the restaurant below, the ingredients were out. Who believes such nonsense, because it's been going on for at least 6 months, so stop lying to people.

Update April 24th, 2024 the pizzas are still huge but on Pizza Day on Wednesdays the price of the pizzas was increased from 7.50 euros to 9.95 euros. This corresponds to a price increase of almost 33%. That's really steep. Update February 11, 2024 Today we were there for brunch because we had invitation cards. We didn't have to pay anything otherwise we would probably have been a bit annoyed. Filter coffee was free. The selection of dishes was OK but not very diverse. The taste was ok too. Normal price is 17.50 euros, everyone should decide for themselves whether it is worth it or not. Update 2024 unfortunately I had to deduct a star. The price for the pizzas on Pizza Day at 7.50 euros is really cheap. Otherwise the pizzas are just way too expensive on normal days. In my opinion, the drinks prices are also way too high. But everyone should decide for themselves. Very friendly service, very tasty garlic bread and very good pizzas.

We ate at L'Osteria today. We got a great table even without a reservation. Unfortunately the vegetarian pizza was a margharita with three pieces of vegetables. The pizza was dripping with grease. Unfortunately it's not a feast for the eyes and it's not enjoyable either. Staff was nice.

The vegetarian pizza was huge but very sparingly topped. The Nice salad was delicious.

Classic L'Osteria restaurant with good connections and Ionity fast lines in front of the door. Also an outdoor play area for the kids, which our short one really likes. I would describe the food and the quality perception as good and solid. Unfortunately there are a few drawbacks in the service, as it was repeatedly very slow. I define slow by the fact that the first greeting usually happens very quickly, as does the order being taken, but I have already repeatedly received the aperitif with the main course. Thereafter no further questions were asked. In other words, once you have been served, you will be forgotten. Clearing can sometimes take a good 15-20 minutes if the workload is good, unless you actively ask. There is still room for improvement here, but you can still eat a pizza there.

Some people like it, I don't, but it's a matter of taste.

Pizza was super delicious, we took pizza day with us on Wednesday, so each pizza was only half the price. Unfortunately the waitress was very slow and inattentive. But this will not always be the case and with every operation. Therefore 5 stars!

This evening the four of us were in the restaurant for the very first time and we were more than satisfied!! The service was super nice, and at the end we had a very pleasant conversation and took a selfie. The evening was really great, we would like to come over more often, but we live a little further away. Great atmosphere and great team!

L'Osteria in Castrop is just like all the other restaurants in this chain. The food is OK, prices are good. The only exception is the children's pizza, which unfortunately does not come close to the quality of normal pizza.

Ich schließe mich leider den meisten vorherigen negativen Bewertungen an. Beim Brunch gibt es für Erwachsene Filterkaffee zum Buffet, für Kinder noch nicht einmal Saft oder Wasser. Der Preis mit derzeit 17,50 € pro Erwachsenem (Kinder bis 14 J. halber Preis) ist hoch angesetzt und im Vergleich dazu sind die Speisen eintönig und teilweise machten diese auf mich keinen frischen Eindruck. Des Weiteren waren die eigentlich warmen Speisen (bspw. Pizza & Lasagne, sowie Rührei) maximal lauwarm. Schade! Die Bedienung war präsent, jedoch wirkte sie auf mich eher desinteressiert. Im Vergleich zum Frühstück bei einer großen Kette in der Castrop-Rauxeler Innenstadt, wo ich vor zwei Tagen zu Gast war, bin ich sehr enttäuscht. Ich werde zum Brunch dieses Lokal nicht mehr wählen.

In times when people are discussing food waste and paying particular attention not to throw food in the trash, I was shocked by the size of a pizza at L'Osteria. This was more of a "family pizza" that I got. In contrast to the portion of tortellini that my wife ordered, which would be considered a "children's portion". The food itself was very tasty. There was nothing to complain about. Points deducted because of the portion sizes and the ambience. It had something of a “train station hall” about it. It's just not great when you can unintentionally follow the conversations at other tables.

When I was there again yesterday, I've been there regularly for three years and have always been very at peace Until now Yesterday when the waiter poured a Coke over my pants and jacket while serving me I was horrified There wasn't even a boss or anything like that No compensation or at least a voucher or anything like that. When I left wet without eating, the waiter was also amazed And that for three years Can't say whether I'll go there again with my son Very unfortunate

Franchise. If you know one, you know them all. Food is already delicious here. Staff friendly too. Sometimes the store is a bit noisy.

The three of us were there last Wednesday, quite spontaneously. It was pizza day, each pizza for €7.50. We couldn't resist and ordered three pizzas. Since we sat at a round table, it was very tight. The whole table was full of pizza. The coziness was a little lacking. It was just about right. The pizza was tasty, but I prefer it when the pizza base is thicker. It's great that the leftovers are packed up. So the family at home was full in the evening. Drinks were very tasty, I had a passion fruit spritzer. The toilets were clean. The service was very friendly. We will definitely come back, but then at a larger table.
