L'Osteria Castrop Rauxel in Castrop-Rauxel

I was there for dinner yesterday with two friends. The food was super tasty, all three of us had pasta and were very impressed with the taste, although two of the three of us didn't really get full. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio for the pasta is not at all good. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff were nice too, although they seemed a bit overwhelmed and not everything went well, for example we didn't get the promised parmesan and the drinks took a long time. Nevertheless, we would definitely visit the restaurant again, but then we would definitely have pizza because then you wouldn't leave the restaurant hungry. 😉

We came over especially for coffee. Waited outside for a long time until a waiter said we weren't making any deliveries outside because it was cold. Hello!?? It's 18 degrees outside and the time is 6:30 p.m. and the outside area is full. This is absolutely incomprehensible. The children are playing outside and then we have to go in!?!?! We also saw exactly this waiter serving outside at 6:45 p.m. You have to communicate that differently. Never again !!!!

Service was better. We've usually been there during the week, but this time we tried the brunch on Sunday. There were maybe 7 tables occupied. So not much going on. Nevertheless, the service was very slow, you had to actively express your drink request instead of being asked and the icing on the cake was that the drink was then forgotten. By the way, it's not exactly appetizing if the waitress has dirty fingernails. It's a shame, the location itself is really nice.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, the restaurant is already great but our waiter Onur was simply great. Can only be recommended. It was just a shame that they forgot that we had a ruby ​​wedding and our reservation was lost, but overall it was still very nice

Unfortunately the service was anything but friendly. Getting space in the farthest corner, of course it can happen. But being forgotten there shouldn't happen. Cola Zero for almost €6 without carbon dioxide is completely normal there. When we asked, we were told that the dispenser simply doesn't have carbon dioxide. It's nice that this wasn't pointed out before ordering. We were only allowed to order after a good 40 minutes. Cutlery was available about 5-10 minutes after the food had already gotten cold at the table. We couldn't even say anything because the waiter left so quickly after putting the food down . In addition, the waiter was anything but friendly, something we have rarely experienced. All in all, we waited forever and at some point we weren't served at all. We won't be coming back because it actually wasn't the first bad experience here.

The pizza here is world class! Our waiter Onur was very accommodating and friendly. It was just fun. Thank you for the very nice evening.

I feel completely stupid. Wednesdays are pizza day, each pizza costs €9.90. If I take a €16 pizza it costs €9.90. If I want a half-and-half pizza (half salami, half Hawaiian), I have to pay €16 for it. Never again. Rude and ignorant. The boss doesn't even care about criticism. Addendum: The answer says only one topping is possible. Complete rubbish! Some pizzas have 5-6 toppings and are served on pizza day for €9.90. Then I even make a half with only 2 toppings instead of 6 and it shouldn't be possible. I can happily show it to the pizza maker. Apparently you can't address the spiteful and disrespectful reaction of the boss, who probably didn't expect me to observe his reaction. Even when I said this derogatory thing to the waiter, the “boss” didn’t see the need to come himself. Sorry but the way this store is run is absolutely amateurish. Every kiosk owner does this better. I hope the “boss” manages your team better than how he deals with customers.

The Conchiglie di Fiume are really good and absolutely recommended. The seating outside is great and when it started to rain we immediately got a place in the beautiful winter garden. Thanks also to Onur for the great service 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Also das wird nicht mein Lieblings Restaurant, die Pizza ist nicht meins ! Dünn wie ein Stück Pappe , hat auch so geschmeckt, und doppelt so groß wie der Teller. Man muss sein Essen also über den Tisch schieben um die Pizza zu schneiden ; nicht so appetitlich. Die Spaghetti waren in Ordnung, aber auch alles fast kalt an den Tisch gekommen!!! Da kann man für 40. € mit Getränk besser essen !

Four of us went to L'Osteria for brunch. We made reservations in advance. Diverse selection of food: from pancakes, fruit salad, waffles, various rolls, sausage, cheese, jam, to pizza and pasta dishes, everything was there. Unfortunately, some dishes were a bit burnt (e.g. the scrambled eggs). Therefore a star deduction for the food. Unfortunately, the clean plates weren't always really clean. The dishwasher doesn't seem to be that reliable. Sometimes it took a while until the used plates were cleared away. Otherwise a very nice service. The staff was attentive and friendly. Hence a star deduction for service. But kindly meant 4 stars 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unfortunately the toilets weren't that clean. The typical L'Osteria ambience is in, but not 5 stars either. When it's full it's very loud. But we had fun and were there for 3 hours. So all in all a nice location and the brunch is recommended.

To be honest, this place is not really recommended. Beer was stale, coffee was small but big in price and the ice cream was just expensive. Service was nice, but that was it.

We always enjoy going to this l'Osteria. The service staff is attentive, always in a good mood and very friendly. As befits a l'Osteria, the pizzas are larger than the plate and incredibly tasty. Special requests are also taken into account. The dessert is definitely worth it, whether it's tiramisu or chocolate soufflée. Dogs are welcome and are also provided with water. The large terrace and the interior are invitingly designed. All in all, definitely worth a visit.
