There were six of us who spontaneously decided to eat here. The service was amazing; the waiter was incredibly friendly and did a fantastic job, even making us laugh. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. I highly recommend it!

Warning! The large pizza is LARGE. 45cm. Tastes absolutely delicious. Cheerful and very attentive staff. Price and quality are perfectly fine. You can see the food being prepared in the kitchen. The ambiance isn't anything special, but the food and service were excellent. I'll definitely come back.

I've been there several times. Unfortunately, the last time was a bit disappointing, both with the pizza and the gnocci. Otherwise, it's always been top-notch. A very good selection, and the food tastes amazing. The pizzas are huge, some of them big enough for two people. I love the concept of sharing the pizzas and adding different toppings to each side. They have a lunch special at lunchtime, which is great value for money. Unfortunately, it's ALWAYS full, no matter what time of day. This generally means it takes longer for the server to take the order, and the wait for the food to arrive. But overall, it's really, really recommended!

The desserts are a must. The tiramisu is heavenly creamy and the perfect ending.

It's best to reserve in advance! The pizzas there are always fantastic, although the toppings have become less common... we eat there very regularly. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great, and the waiters are positive and always smiling—keep it up.

Worst restaurant experience ever!!! Unfortunately, you can't give zero stars. They were left at the counter and forgotten. Why should they be? Some restaurant patrons simply don't need to eat, aren't hungry, and aren't given a table or seat. Left after 20 minutes without further notice. Thanks for nothing. That was probably nothing. The food was really delicious and the price was totally reasonable. I personally shared a pizza, so 50/50, and I highly recommend it, as it was also filling! My friend, however, ordered a salad that was unfortunately forgotten. They then made it again, but they forgot to bring the salad. We asked them about it, and they brought us the salad that was already soaking. We still had to pay for it. The atmosphere was okay, but very loud; I recommend making a reservation.

Large pizza, good atmosphere – but often very crowded Had dinner at L'Osteria on Memhardstraße. The food was excellent – ​​the pizza was huge, delicious, and freshly topped. I visited Berlin in June as a solo traveller so I was a bit nervous going to a place like that. I didn't have a reservation but it wasn't a problem. The kitchen was open so you could see the chefs working and the smells were drool inducing. The food was AMAZING, I still remember how that pasta tasted and smelled. Quick service once you order , very calming and happy atmosphere.

Be careful if the chef himself serves a pizza in two halves even though you ordered a whole one! I was served two halves like that on September 30, 2025, at Alexanderplatz in Berlin! Unfortunately, it wasn't until later that I realized it was definitely a pizza that other guests hadn't finished, because one half was jaggedly sliced, the other was smooth, and the salami was almost crisp. All in all, you could tell it had been reheated! I still feel sick thinking about that evening 🤢

I usually like this restaurant chain for their pizzas and pastas. And they are really good however I recently tried their salads , I paid about 14 euros for a bowl 80% baby spinach and Rucola and few beef pieces. So I would avoid the salads menus overall otherwise it’s good.

I was at this restaurant three days ago and was very satisfied. The pizza was delicious. The service was also attentive and friendly. The manager who accompanied us to our table was especially nice! We will definitely be back!

The worst spaghetti aglio e olio I've ever eaten. It was edible, but otherwise tasted of nothing. There was no "spicy" flavor or anything else to be tasted. Simply tasteless, except for a bit of oil and when you bit into a cherry tomato. I had to sprinkle a lot of salt and pepper on it myself to get any flavor at all, but it wasn't pleasant. I also asked for Parmesan cheese twice when the waiters came to the table, but it never came. They obviously know how to make pizza. It certainly looked good on the other people's menu, but for me it was a complete failure!

A solid Italian restaurant with generous portions. The location is okay, and the service is also okay, but not overwhelming.

We were there on Saturday with 8 people (pre-booked). After 15 minutes we got the menus ourselves from the neighboring table. We were only allowed to place our order after 30 minutes and the food came 2 hours after we arrived. There was a lot going on, but as many meals as were delivered while we were waiting could have waited so that people in the restaurant could get something first. Luckily the food was delicious and the service was nice but very overwhelmed.

Ordered multiple times and almost always incorrectly, plus long wait times. As a vegetarian, repeatedly receiving salami pizza is completely unacceptable. No one is available by phone, or it's difficult to reach. It's fine to order in person, but unfortunately, delivery is a disaster.

In a very refined setting in typical, authentic Italian style, three things struck me: - the kindness of the very helpful manager - the service from the waitress (a computer engineering student by day) was very fast and attentive, friendly, cheerful, and always smiling - the superb food; a mushroom risotto this rich and delicious is hard to find even in Italy Despite the wait, which was inevitable given the extremely crowded place due to the marathon, it was absolutely worth it!! 😁

L'Osteria Berlin Mitte is highly recommended! The food was simply fantastic – the all'arrabbiata pasta was a real highlight. The pizzas are huge and incredibly delicious, just as you'd expect. The homemade lemonade was also delicious and went perfectly with the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, and you immediately felt at home. All in all, a fantastic experience – I'll definitely be back!

The food is simply delicious; I would have perhaps preferred a bit more pasta in the portion, but the taste is fantastic. The pizzas are also great. One small criticism: if you can choose whether to pre-slice your pizza or not, then the pizza should be properly sliced, but otherwise, it's perfect. Delicious drinks.

The portions at this restaurant are really large for the price—we couldn't finish our entire meal. I tried the BBQ chicken pizza and was really impressed. However, I had to wait quite a while to pay and leave. Otherwise, everything was great: the staff is friendly, and the space is very spacious and airy.

Typical L'Osteria. The food was mediocre and unfortunately arrived cold. We had to remind them several times that we were missing a drink, and then they even told us we hadn't ordered it – even though we reminded them several times. The service was accordingly poor.

A fun place for a quick pizza, but be aware they are huge! We were also on a small table which couldn't fit all of our food on, odd decision. Look for the 'spicy' symbol on the menu - I didn't spot it as it is tiny and green (not red?). I didn't mind but it could catch some people out. Restaurant is open and lively, and very busy but this makes a fun atmosphere. Good food.

We had lasagna and pizza. I'd say the pizza was bad, but it's very appetizing. The lasagna was very average. The waiter was obnoxious. He sulked when I asked to change tables. Then he sat me at the worst table in the empty restaurant.

If you like the standard fare you'd find in any Osteria, you should visit this one. Unfortunately, our server wasn't the friendliest and slammed the plates down on the table. But it was still delicious. Sit outside is also nice.

Disappointing Visit Despite Dedicated Staff I've been a big fan of L'Osteria for years – the quality, atmosphere, and service have always been top-notch. This makes the current development all the more disappointing. Unfortunately, the impression is that management is cutting back on staff at every turn. The few employees on site are clearly doing their best, seeming dedicated and friendly – but there are simply too few to ensure smooth operations in the restaurant. For us as guests, this meant: On a Monday evening at 8 p.m., with the terrace almost empty, we had to wait over 20 minutes for a seat outside – only to be told later that the terrace would no longer be in use after all, as it would be closing shortly. These communication and organizational problems significantly spoiled the entire experience: so much so that we went somewhere else to eat. Somewhere where you can simply sit outside without any problem.

L'Osteria is truly amazing! The pizzas are truly delicious – crispy crusts, fresh ingredients, always top-notch. The atmosphere is totally relaxed and fun. Never disappoints here. Definitely a must-go!

Super size pizza's, 45cm diameter. The pizza toppings are sober but sufficient.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and looks great. The food was prepared quickly and could be seen up close thanks to a live kitchen. It was delicious and well-priced. The pizzas, in particular, are HUGE. The service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. The entrance to the restaurant is confusing, and we stood in front of an empty platform for 10 minutes, waiting to be served. Later on, another server was visibly stressed, and it seemed as if there weren't enough people working there. Tables sometimes stood there with used dishes for up to 20 minutes before they were cleared. Our table also rocked quite heavily. In the end, we had to ask twice to pay because they forgot to pay.

The food is pretty good but I was waiting for my waitress for more than 20 minutes just to ask for a glass of water, when got frustrated I stranded up and when I asked my waitress, he gave me a bad face and told me that he all ready finished his work, another lady give my glass of water to my waitress and when he took the glass he almost through it to me. That guy is tall and have braids.

The food was quite good, but not as good as at other L'Osteria restaurants. What made it bad was that when my friends and I all wanted to pay separately in cash, the waiter didn't give us change, even though one of us asked while he was checking out, and he answered right away. After that, he quickly left, and we were too lazy to chase after him. Our meals cost €22.20 each. We paid €25. 3 out of 6 people said it was fine, but he deducted a bit more than €5 from the remaining 3.

Visited the restaurant on Tuesday around 3 p.m. When we entered, we were told to wait outside in the pouring rain until we were shown a table. After about 10 minutes we were allowed in and to our surprise we found that the place was sparsely populated. Of around 20 tables, 4 were occupied. The other 15 or so tables were free. The employee also ordered us to a table which was immediately next to the 4 occupied tables. The employee also gave us the impression that we were not welcome there. So, as two couples, we left the restaurant disappointed and went to another establishment where we were noticeably welcomed.

Don't come here if you're in any kind of rush, because the waiting staff don't pay attention to your needs. Got seated quite fast after being told to wait at the bar which was good, but then it took 20 minutes for them to take our order. After we finished eating mains it took another 20 minutes to order dessert, then after finishing dessert it took another 25 minutes to manage to get the bill. Food quality (spaghetti Bolognese and lasagne) was OK, but not worth the high price

This afternoon, June 28, 2025, I was sitting with several people in the outdoor area of ​​L'Osteria. We asked to be allowed to put two small tables together because we wanted to eat together. The employee in the black L'Osteria T-shirt and glasses (whom the waiter said was now the "manager") refused, citing "regulations." A comprehensible explanation was not given even when asked. The only options given were separate seating or squeezing together at one table. I understand and respect the concept of the classic osteria—lively, intimate, and sociable. That this has been part of L'Osteria's DNA since 1999 has already been communicated in other reviews. But this is precisely the crux of the matter: A concept thrives on being applied flexibly—not being rigidly enforced when it contradicts the original goal: a positive communal dining experience. Especially in the outdoor area, with mobile tables, ample space, and relaxed occupancy, a solution could have been found easily and without effort. No one expects a fundamental change. But when groups are separated or have to squeeze into too small groups, the "osteria feeling" loses its impact – because community isn't enforced, it's enabled. I'm not the first to raise this point – many guests describe similar experiences in their reviews. For me, this is a sign: It's time to find a better balance between staying true to the concept and guest satisfaction. A big compliment goes to the Mediterranean waiter in the white T-shirt: friendly, helpful, and attentive (as was the case on the last few visits here) – it makes you feel welcome. Such an attitude at the management level would significantly enhance the brand experience. Addendum to the official response: Thank you for your feedback. However, I'm surprised that key points of my evaluation weren't addressed – especially the factual description of the specific situation, the positive emphasis on the waiter, and the fundamental question of whether adherence to the concept automatically means rigid action. Instead, the argument is based on escape routes and walking routes – an aspect that was neither mentioned on site nor realistically played a role in the described corner of the openly accessible, plant-enclosed outdoor area. The tables were mobile, the area wasn't fully utilized, and no restrictions existed for anyone. The chosen communication thus seems more like an attempt to defend a blanket set of rules than to address differentiated, factually based feedback. That's a shame – because this is precisely where it would have become clear whether the lived brand concept truly offers space for closeness, hospitality, and situational understanding. Brands don't thrive on the mere repetition of old concepts, but on the ability to flexibly make their values ​​tangible in the guests' reality. In our case, this would have been possible with a single move - and would have created exactly the feeling that L’Osteria actually wants to represent.

The first time I ate L’Osteria was in the Czech Republic, and the second time was in Berlin. Both times left me with a great impression. The sauces of the pasta are very flavorful. Spaghetti Carbonara and Maccheroncini Gorgonzola are my two favorite dishes at the moment, one is classic and the other is rich and special. The portions are also very generous, and I am super satisfied every time I eat. The overall atmosphere is comfortable and the service is good. It is the kind of restaurant that you will want to go back after eating. Next time I see this restaurant, I will definitely go in again! The first time I tried L’Osteria was in the Czech Republic, and the second time was in Berlin. Both visits left a great impression. Their pasta sauces are always full of flavor. After eight long years, I finally returned – to a place I once loved. The memories were warm, my appetite was strong, my expectations high. But unfortunately, not much of that remained. The pizza, once a small masterpiece, was a disappointment this time. The dough had changed – less flavor, less soul. And the toppings? Barely there. As if they were afraid to actually put the ingredients on the pizza. I sat there, staring at the plate, and wondered: Was it really this good before – or was it just me who had changed? Be that as it may – this was my last visit. And somehow it feels like I've said goodbye to something that hasn't been there for a long time. 😞

It's a good idea to share pizzas with different toppings. I was there with friends but didn't want to eat, so I asked for a glass of tap water. I was told they're not allowed to serve tap water, so 2 stars is pretty ridiculous.

The menu and drink menu were laid out immediately upon being seated. It took over 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and then another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. The restaurant was busy, but guests who arrived after us received their food before us. The waitress explained this by coupon issues in the kitchen. The food was delicious, though.

The stuff was too rude. They refused that we have a table indoors. They tried to force us (4 Persons) to set on a small table outdoorss. We asked to change it with an indoor-table they were aggressive and told us that if we did not take this table we should leave the restaurant. Ps* there were many empaty tables which also were not reserved. It is my first bad experience in L'Osteria. I always visit another subsidiary and always have very good experience. It was my last time and i do not recommend this subsidiary
