IL PIZZAIOLO in Berlin

The pizzas were delicious but the service was what completely took us by surprise. Such caring and wonderful team, especially our waitress Anna was extremely attentive and sweet, she took the time to give us recommendations for our vegan son with many food allergies. Not once did she make us feel like we were burdening her. Truly a hero! Long live Anna!

We walked in around 10:30 and I had one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were great, and the music was awesome. 10/10, I highly recommend it.

Only cash payments always make me suspicious; drinks are only served without a glass – you have to be into that! Okay for a small snack before a concert.

I had a vegan salami pizza and it was sooooooo delicious! It's definitely worth driving a few hours to Berlin for! 😍🤤 The team there was also super friendly 🥰

I was here a few months ago and went back again yesterday and I have to say, the place has gotten even better! They’ve made some great changes to their service team. Everyone is super friendly, welcoming, and really makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. The pizza is just amazing fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best you can find in Berlin. It’s that perfect mix of great food and great service that makes you want to keep coming back. If you’re looking for top-quality pizza and a warm atmosphere in Berlin, this is definitely the place to go!

The service was friendly, the atmosphere nothing crazy but still cosy and the food was nothing short of amazing. I loved it. Oh and you can pay cash or card.

Walked in and had to ask for a table myself, which was not a great start. The pizza arrived in about two minutes, which told me everything—it was soggy in the middle and tasted rushed. Service wasn’t any better, the waiter didn’t even bother to ask if I wanted another beer. Overall, a disappointing experience. I’ll honestly be shocked if this place is still open in six months. And I’m not even kidding you, the staff sits at the bar playing cards………

I’ve been to this restaurant many times - now went back after a long time. Semi empty place, we sat at a table inside. The only waitress didn’t acknowledge our presence since she was talking to someone. We waited 10 mins, 3 more couples came and sat. No acknowledgement, no sign of coming to take the order. As we saw a couple outside leaving (because they weren’t being served) and she went to pick up a plate, we thought it was gonna be our turn so we were hopeful. After she clearly ignored us and went back to the counter, we left. I have worked in service, most of my life, I understand when you have a busy night and you are alone. However, if your busy night is talking to your friend and ignoring customers… that doesn’t really work! So disappointed because Pizzaiolo was one of the first pizzas I had in Berlin 5y ago and really loved it but after this experience, I don’t know if you’ll see me again.

I came with my partner to have lunch, we met Anne (lovely waitress). The food was amazing and so was the costumer service, totally recommended :)

The vegan Neapolitan pizza with vegan cheese was excellent, 5 stars! The atmosphere was okay, the music was pretty loud, and the service was friendly.

It’s rare to find pizza this good, with such top-quality ingredients — even in Italy. The staff was kind and welcoming, with no waiting time. The atmosphere is lovely, both inside and outside. Absolutely recommended!

Honestly a solid pizza napoletana. Wouldn’t have expected that on one of Berlin’s main party tourism streets. Had the Napoli classic (which you definitely don’t find everywhere) Salsiccia e Friarelli, and I devoured it. Crust maybe slightly crunchy/charred but very comforting and awesome that the kitchen was open past 23:00. Staff alright.

The food was good, a really nice two-person restaurant. It did take a while for our order to be taken, but it's a busy place. Drink prices are way too high at all the restaurants in Berlin. And you don't even get premium brands... The pizzas were delicious, and they also have vegan options if you want. It's located on a busy road, so if the doors are open, the traffic noise can be annoying.

Diavola was so good. The pesto was so disappointing.

Delicious Neapolitan pizza in a pleasant atmosphere. The Tartuffo pizza of the day with extra salsicca was excellent!

The pizza was excellent, and with the wine spritzer, it tasted like it did in Italy. The pizza base was exactly what it should be: crispy and fluffy at the same time.

I had Pizza Romana. I was not tasty at all. Almost no cheese and just Tomato tick paste. Very few Anchioves.

The pizza used to be really good, but the service, the netiquette, and everything else have become a complete disaster. They just push you away. They claim they're no longer working with delivery services, but they just turn off their device without closing the door, and the employees are incredibly unfriendly. Don't go there; there are other good pizza places in Kreuzhain.

GREAT PIZZA, but very poor service. We call the restaurant about 30 minutes before our arrival. Then we are explained that it is not possible to order for pick-up by phone and that we have to come into the restaurant to order there because they had a lot to do. Once there, we get a rude reception from the waitress, who barely even seems to want to take our order, and see that the restaurant is half full (but still we couldn't order our food in advance?). We then have to wait another 35 minutes to even get our food, without the waitress even mentioning from the beginning how long the wait for the food is. After getting our food, we leave the restaurant completely confused as to why we couldn't just order in advance and pick up the pizza right when we arrived. As I said, very good pizza but very poor service. Not recommended

Hmm, the place is getting a bit so-so. The pizza Parma seems a bit heartless, and not quite as good anymore...

This is as close you will get to the Italian pizza. We ordered 3 vegetarian pizzas, 1. Vesuvio 2. Prosciutto e Funghi (without chicken) and 3. Vegetariana. All the 3 veg pizza were amazing. The bread dough was perfectly and loved the sauces. The service was fantastic and the vibe of this was really good.

The pizzas are really tasty and I've been there a few times. The friendliness of the waiters varies. When I wanted to pay my €19.30 bill with a card, it said card payments from €20. Seriously, about 60 cents. Two weeks beforehand I was able to pay by card without any problems (less than €20). We are in the middle of Berlin, in the year 2025, but card payments only start at €20 or something like that. Understood…

If the pizza wasn't so good, I wouldn't come back. With the worst service in Berlin. Long waiting time for the order to even be taken even though the store was almost empty. In the end we were “kicked out”. (not late 9:30 p.m.) There was obviously and extra loud cleaning and tidying up. Then the shutters were pulled down with a loud rumble, even though our glasses weren't yet empty. We could have been politely told that it would be closing soon and that they could bring us the bill... instead our table was cleared without a word. Very unfortunate. The music is often very loud and does not encourage comfortable conversation.

We really enjoyed it. Price performance is also right. In contrast to others here, I also found the service friendly. But why only two stars? Cash only? Cash only in 2025? Aha... what's the reason for that?

Unfortunately, the poor service ruins the good food. You get picked on, you feel like you're a nuisance as a guest, and in the end you can't pay separately if you're a large group. The loud music and the aggressive waiter really did the rest for us. It's a real shame, not a good place to spend a cozy evening - that really dampens the mood. No recommendation.

Arriving there at 12pm and the unfriendly waitress is hating her life being on her phone ignoring all the guests. after 10min being ignored, i asked if we could order and she just shakes her head rudely saying "its a restaurant, i will come when im ready". the front door of the restaurant had to be open the entire time even tho it was freezing cold in the place. we asked to close it but the waitress said no bc she didn't wanted her colleague to be to warm - nice customer service... pizza was mediocre and the place itself kind of dirty (floors and walls need a deep cleaning).

Although the friendly waitress assured us when entering the restaurant that card payment was possible, the unfriendly colleague then claimed that card payment was not possible because his colleague was no longer there. Pizza was pretty average for Neapolitan pizza in Berlin; Margarita good, Siciliana a bit too smoky and eggplant didn't seem fresh.

I was so surprised that we just got a table and when I tried the pizza I was completely blown away that the place wasn't busy. Best pizza I've ever eaten in Berlin for this price. Everything fresh, good base and perfectly baked! Crowned by absolutely warm and funny service. Maybe I've been living in Pankow for too long now and am easily impressed, but I'm so excited and am already planning when I can go there again. Unfortunately, I was so enchanted by the sight of the pizza that I didn't take a photo. Just believe me, she looked amazing!

I came back to Berlin from Hamburg specifically to eat pizza here. It's small and nice, it's also really nice because you can see from your seat how the pizza is put into a real pizza oven.

A very tasty and stylish Italian who absolutely knows how to make good Neapolitan pizza. The service was friendly and okay, although not overly trying. I was even happier when one of the men sprinted after me because I had forgotten my phone. Thank you very much for this effort. This really went the extra mile. We would love to come back.

Pizzas are great, Parma ham is a dream and the service is relaxed and friendly. Music is a bit loud but will definitely come back again :) The price is right too!

We ate there yesterday, made a reservation and registered with our name and reservation. The restaurant then reported us to Quandoo as a NoShow. What's that supposed to mean?

Worst service staff we have ever experienced. After asking several times about payment, we were met with an unfriendly “No, just wait man.” After a long wait for payment, the receipt was thrown onto the table as we walked past. When we wanted to leave the shop, the waitress bumped into us. Stunned! Such a cheeky person definitely shouldn't work in the restaurant industry. It's a shame because the food was very tasty.

Reserved for 13 people. Because of the long hike beforehand, some people dropped out and there were only 6 of us left. I immediately apologized when I entered the restaurant and explained the situation. (I know, it's stupid when you announce 13 and then only 6 come) The employee was very rude, showed zero understanding and just said that I now owed him €100. He then served other people. We then went to another pizzeria.

I've just had my first pizza and Tiramisu from the place, which I picked up for takeout. The place itself is functional and completely adequate for a pizza place that focuses on quality food, but nothing fancy by itself. The staff was unusually kind and friendly for a place in Berlin, but the food is something else - this was the best pizza dough I've had in ages, and all the other ingredients were incredibly fresh and tasty. The Tiramisu also stood out and was clearly homemade. Would totally go there again.

Another great Italian place for true Italian food lovers. The level of those places in Berlin is impressive but this one makes some special pizza with sweet - sour taste that you cannot miss (if you like the genre).

Pizza and tiramisu were great, if you want the waitress to smile you have to ask for it.

The cheese tasted like milk instead of low moisture mozzerella which is the better option. The pizza bottom was wett and unappetizing. The "Italian sausage" was full of grit and the tomato sauce was watery and tasted of nothing. First and last time.

The pizza is good, but it's a shame the staff is truly awful. The waitress forgets to bring drinks, and when you ask her for something, she's very aggressive and rolls her eyes. The best Neapolitan pizza in Berlin! The taste is a dream and you usually get your pizza after 5 minutes. Nevertheless, the ambience is not made to linger forever because it is usually very loud inside and the service can be inconsistent. Nevertheless, we always come back here. 🫶🏻

One of the best pizzas I've tried in Berlin. The Dough was very soft and pizza was super delicious!! There were lot of options available with prices being quite okay. Service could've been better but i assume they were short staffed. Overall a great experience and will surely come back!!
