L'Osteria Bayreuth in Bayreuth

I've never had any complaints about the food. The service is super nice and friendly, but unfortunately, they're sometimes very busy, and you have to wait a long time to reorder. Unfortunately, the restaurant is also very noisy, so you can't really call it a quiet conversation or a peaceful atmosphere. All in all, though, it's still worth it.

Delicious food, friendly service, would go back anytime!

Today, after a long wait, we got crispy pizzas again, even though we specifically requested that our pizzas not be crispy when ordering. I couldn't eat my pizza and returned it. But it was still added to the bill. Of course, I didn't pay for it.

First of all: the pizza is super delicious and huge... hanging over the edge of the plate by 5 cm all around... The place was packed, but the entire service team was incredibly relaxed and friendly. Watching the pizza makers was great; you can tell they're a great team. Despite the stress and hectic pace, they were so experienced and worked together in the confined space (sometimes with five people). You could tell they were a really well-coordinated team. I have to give them a small minus point for the blunt knives, which made cutting the pizza really difficult. They also gave the people at the next table round paper napkins so their oversized pizza wouldn't hang directly from the plate onto the table. It was also very cramped and crowded, and therefore quite noisy. But the good food, the entertaining pizza makers, and the great service team made up for it all. :-)

We were surprised by the huge "placemat" made of some kind of baking paper! The pizza protruded 5 cm over the edge of the plate all around 🤣. The crust was thin and crispy, the toppings were delicious, and the pizza was superb 👌

Pizzas the size of car wheels. While they don't taste as good as my own Neapolitan pizza, I still give it 5 out of 5! The service is friendly, and the wait times are short. There are art supplies for children at the table. However, more than two pizzas won't fit at a standard four-person table 😉 With the Schlwmmerpaas (swimming pair), we only had to pay for one pizza instead of two! I would come here again.

Lovely evening. The staff was very friendly... despite the hustle and bustle. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation. But it wasn't a problem. Unfortunately, it was very loud and crowded inside.

My new hometown, my new favorite pizzeria

We made a reservation for four people, and at first we looked around to see if there was room. We waited 80 minutes for a pizza, one of the four was forgotten and brought eight minutes later. Then we waited another 30 minutes for the second batch of drinks, which only arrived after a reminder. The food, however, was excellent, as always.

I definitely recommend it. The pizza is really delicious and huge! It was very busy, but the food still came really quickly!

If I could give zero stars, I would give it 0. The waiter preferred flirting with the other table rather than serving the guests waiting in line. We then looked for a table ourselves and were rudely told that this was absolutely not possible, and they would find another solution. I can't say anything about the food; unfortunately, it didn't happen.

The pizza was delicious, just like in any other pizza place. However, there were only 9 tiny slices of salami for the half-sized salcicia picante, which was pretty meager. They skimped on the toppings, and the same goes for the barbecue chicken; there was far too little chicken on it. The word "chicken" doesn't really fit. The rice in the risotto was far too hard. Despite everything, it tasted good. The service was very nice and friendly.

Incredible spot. We went during the Festa Itálica, which had to have been one of their busiest days of the year. Still sat within ten minutes. Had a wonderful Montepulciano priced well. They have a spicy olive oil in the table that was great on the pizza bread appetizer. Lasagna and tiramisu were delicious! Looking forward to go back.

Very long waits (even the surrounding tables had disappointed faces), the food didn't arrive at the same time, so we couldn't eat together. Drinks weren't refilled, questions weren't asked, and overall, the service was very uncaring and inattentive. For a restaurant of this quality, you expect much more... We'll be back, hoping it's better next time.

Best L'Osteria I've visited in years! I travel a lot, and despite the high pressure (the crowds are huge), the team does an incredible job! I spontaneously popped in during prime time and can only recommend the place. They cater to customer requests, are very friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious too—what more could you want? ;) Big compliments!

We waited about 10 minutes for a table without a reservation. The waiters were all extremely quick and bustled around the place. The food was once again very tasty and almost too much for me. Unfortunately, the noise level was quite high.

The pizzas are truly very large, a hallmark of L'Osteria everywhere. However, compared to the past (10 years ago), the quality has declined and the price of the pizzas has increased. What used to be offered as toppings at an already high price now requires an extra charge for optional ingredients. This conceals the doubling of prices.

The restaurant serves Coca-Cola, but it's not carbonated—the drink is flat, as if syrup was mixed with tap water. Sometimes it doesn't even taste like Coke, but just like brown water. This has been going on for years. Whenever you complain about the quality, there are always excuses. Yet, even after all this time, the problem remains unresolved. Why even offer a globally recognized beverage brand if you can't live up to its quality and brand reputation?

I went for dinner with my girlfriend yesterday. The pizza from the daily special with chanterelles and porcini mushrooms was a dream. Service was friendly and attentive. I'd gladly go back. Tables could be bigger, considering the large pizzas 🍕...lol

We were here for the first time, and everything was great except for a few minor things. The tables are a bit small if you order several things, and it was quite loud at times, but that's acceptable because the food was very, very tasty! :)

What a stroke of luck! We ended up at L'Osteria again during our vacation – and immediately took a mini-culinary trip to Italy. The antipasti? So delicious you almost forgot they were just the beginning. The pizzas? Thin crust, full of flavor, just as it should be. And then the spaghetti carbonara... wow. Creamy, spicy, and no fake cream – that's what true pasta love tastes like! Plus friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere – we'll definitely be back. Next time even hungrier!

Two of us went out to eat today. The restaurant was quiet, so we were looking forward to a relaxing visit. Unfortunately, our expectations were dashed. At the entrance, we initially waited at the hostess stand, but were then simply shouted to sit anywhere. After a short while, we ordered two bottles of water – although they didn't arrive for about 20 minutes. Our food order was taken promptly, and the food arrived relatively quickly, but one item was missing, which we only received after about ten minutes and upon request. During our entire visit, we were never asked if everything was okay or if we would like something else to drink. Only a half-hearted comment came in passing after we had already finished our meal. My companion's salad was drenched in dressing, and the bottom leaves were unfortunately inedible. Even when she mentioned it while clearing the table, she simply replied, "I'll let you know." We would have liked to have pointed this out earlier, but no one came to our table to ask. We were then asked if we wanted another espresso or dessert – which we declined. We then sat at our table for about 15 minutes without being noticed. Even when paying, we weren't asked if everything was okay or if we enjoyed our meal. A simple "Was everything okay?" would have sufficed. We both work in the restaurant industry ourselves and know that there can be stressful days. But on this day, the restaurant was almost empty – so we would have appreciated significantly more attention, friendliness, and interest in the guests.

The service is very friendly, attentive, and open to a quick chat, which makes the visit pleasant. The food is consistently delicious, and the selection is extensive, with something for everyone. There's a weekly menu with changing dishes. However, the tables are quite small, so it quickly gets crowded, especially when ordering pizza. Overall, it's still recommended.

Unfortunately, our visit was marred by several problems: We received two burnt pizzas and were asked if we wanted them anyway. Additionally, we were served a different salad instead of the one we ordered, and the bread we had ordered at the beginning only arrived after repeated requests. The staff tried to rectify the situation, were always friendly, and tried to rectify the situation – but by this point, our evening had already been marred. After three consecutive mistakes, we were still irritated. We had never experienced anything like this at a L'Osteria in Potsdam, Berlin, Leipzig, Erfurt, or Duisburg.

It was very good and beautifully furnished. We would gladly return.

The pizza dough and tomato sauce were very tasty. However, for a seafood pizza that costs €19.50, you'd expect more toppings than just three shrimp on the whole pizza. You'd get the same seafood topping on any frozen pizza.

Ambience: The decor is very nice. A deduction is made for the tables being far too small, resulting in far too little space for eating. There were four of us. We ordered two bruschettas and a total of four pizzas. The tables are far too small for four pizzas at the table. This meant that our neighbors' pizzas overlapped, making eating very tiring and awkward. A small side table would only help in terms of allowing us to place our drinks there. Eat here, either smaller pizzas or larger tables, please. Unfortunately, eating like this isn't much fun. Regarding the service: The pizzas arrived even though the bruschetta wasn't finished. This made the seating situation even worse. A better flow would be beneficial. The staff unfortunately seemed chaotic; we waited a long time for new drinks to be taken and brought. We heard several flippant remarks from various servers throughout the evening. Service should and can be improved! About the food: The food itself was very good, and the price was perfectly appropriate for the size and taste. If you're eating there with two or three people, it's certainly a good pizzeria (though the service might be a bit lacking). Unfortunately, in our experience, it's not recommended for four or more people.

We were looking forward to a lovely family evening at this Italian restaurant, but were unfortunately disappointed. The lasagna was not only mediocre in taste, but also significantly overpriced and much too small – the value for money here is unfortunately not at all good. The pizzas, however, were very good. The atmosphere was very loud, making relaxed conversation almost impossible. Furthermore, the staff was inattentive, and we had to ask for basic things like an extra plate or our food order. What a shame... Overall, not a place we would recommend for a cozy evening. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience.

On top of that, meals ordered from outside kept running out. They did ask if a new one should be made, but since we had already waited a long time and didn't want to wait that long again, we ate the wrong pizza. After this incident, we were assured again that something was being done for us. After we had finished our food, we were offered dessert on the house. Since we were all very full, we politely declined. We said that as compensation, they should simply not charge us for the incorrect pizza. - Not possible. Then we wanted to pay and waited another 20 minutes until we were cashed. We were really disappointed.

We had reserved a table for five people, including a four-year-old child and someone with a herniated disc. Despite having a reservation, we were left standing outside for half an hour without anyone even bothering to check on us, let alone apologizing. When we were finally allowed to go to our table, it was impossible to have a conversation without shouting, as the noise level in the restaurant was so high that any conversation without shouting was impossible. Unfortunately, the pizza was also very burnt, and ingredients had been forgotten, or the pizza was completely wrong. However, we didn't want to send it back, as it was already 8:30 and our little companions weren't in the mood any longer. That was probably our last visit.

Everything was perfect. Atmosphere, food, city, everything. I loved the place.
