Cold temperature and drafts in the restaurant. Lasagna was good, but the bottom of the pan was burnt and charred black. No apology or accommodation for this. Too bad...

We wanted to spontaneously go to L’Osteria, but were no longer able to make a reservation online. So we just went there at random - and were lucky because we still found a place even though it was very crowded. The service was okay, but the pizza was really tasty! I had half a Caesar Chicken and half a Tonno, both great. I thought the non-alcoholic Martini cocktail was particularly cool, a great idea and tasted really good too. We'd love to come back!

I've always been very enthusiastic about good pizzas and enjoyed going there and ordering them often, but in the last few months, and especially today, things have slowed down a lot. Ordered two pizzas home. The pizzas were still raw dough and weren't even through a pizza was totally wrong, the side dishes were missing and ice cold. The only good thing was a very nice supplier who also apologized... It's really sad that everything is becoming much more expensive and the quality is also declining... And the dough was also tasteless in this dough. Everything was missing. The pizza maker should first learn how to make dough...

The concept of L 'Osteria, special building and special ambience, has also worked again in Amberg and has been a huge success. As is well known, the eye doesn't just eat on the plate. Let's start with the negative: (Unfortunately I can't deduct half a point) - There is a deduction for the stylish knives, although you can ride them all the way to Moscow, they are definitely not suitable for cutting pizza. At first I thought it was just us, but after watching some people, they didn't feel any better. - The plates could also be a little larger for the pizzas, it is sometimes uncomfortable to cut the pizza, especially with knives. - So dear L 'Osteria get yourself decent knives - Now to the positive: - The monster pizzas (there's no other way to describe the pizzas 😊) have just the right toppings and taste excellent. The base is fluffy, light, crispy and just the right thickness. If you decide to have a pizza for two, I completely understand it, then it's easier to enjoy other delicious things. - The salad dressings, balanced, tasty with just the right amount of spice - Desserts, the homemade creams, tarts and tiramisu, have just the right amount of non-sweetness, but an intense taste of coffee, chocolate, etc. It's worth a try. A big compliment to the service staff, friendly, helpful and always happy to joke. To all those who complain about the staff, you will get it back at some point. Because even if it is a service, it does not mean that the guest has freedom from fools. (unfortunately this is happening more and more lately) A little tip: reserve for the weekend or before public holidays. On weekdays you can usually get a seat even without a reservation.

For me the best pizzas! The price is still right, considering that one pizza is basically two pizzas! 😉 Thin dough, good consistency, just the way we like it. The furnishings in the old cinema have a lot of charm and you feel comfortable. So far we have only had courteous service staff. L'osteria is a must when we come to Amberg and my only criticism is that they don't exist in Weiden! Why not????? We would also have a disused cinema!!😊

We were just there to have a drink. Super friendly service: Carmen!!! Even though it was very full and there was still a whole company there, always there when the glass was empty and there was still time for a few friendly words. It's no problem that we didn't eat anything.

There were eight people there, unfortunately the dishes were brought every 5 minutes, the first one was almost finished eating while the last one was just starting. Our drink orders were forgotten several times and then three people's beers were filled two fingers below the filling line - 0.5 L pay 0.4 L. The wrong drinks were also brought twice (white wine spritzer instead of red wine spritzer and Helles instead of Hefeweizen...)..which was then refilled and replaced after being reported (no apology from the waitress). The waitresses seemed annoyed and weren't particularly friendly. The pasta was only warm and the lasagne was unfortunately very small for the price and very dry, probably never saw a béchamel sauce. As much as we like to eat Italian food, we definitely won't come here again - no recommendation, 0 stars.

Starters arrived quickly, but there was a long wait for main courses (40 minutes). Unfortunately the main courses didn't come at the same time. Food was lukewarm, drinks were forgotten a few times and not fully restricted (a good bit on balance). The wrong drink was brought twice and the waiting times were very long.

Waited 40 minutes for the starters. Bruschetta was partially charred. The potato soup was over salted and left to stand for too long so that a dry skin formed. Main courses arrived after over 1.5 hours and the pasta was lukewarm and also too salty. The pasta was instant noodles that needed 1 to 2 minutes of cooking time. Portion is also far too small for the price. Table receipts were placed on the pizza by the kitchen. A complaint was simply dismissed, but a new pizza was delivered. The side salad didn't come at all. Another drink also took 20 minutes. Spoon for pasta had sharp-edged dents that injured lips. Not surprising when it comes to handling the cutlery. The staff threw it into a cutlery tray after washing up, which could be clearly heard in the dining room. Overall, a disappointing evening for four. The price-performance ratio wasn't right at all. The staff also made a very unfriendly impression on us and made fun of complaints internally that were noticeable to us. There were no paper towels in the toilets at 8:00 p.m. What was positive, however, was that the starters were on the house due to the complaints.

we had dinner today. I ordered a pizza and noticed the chef put the order slip in the middle of the pizza. stain the pizza with the paper. I saw the waiter take the order slip in his hand and serve it to my table. I declined the pizza and explained to him what I had seen and what he had done. I didn't hear a single "I'm sorry" or anything like that. so I'm never coming back.

The pizzas are delicious and very large, also great for delivery! Noodle portions are rather smaller and not for those who are very hungry :)

I visit the Amberger Losteria regularly because I simply love the food! The pasta dishes in particular are a pleasure every time🥰. The room has now become even more beautiful, much more comfortable and inviting. The service is always friendly and takes great care of you, even if you have special requests. Always happy to come here.

The food at L’Osteria is pretty good and similar at all their locations. I was excited to celebrate a holiday party here, but service was pretty bad. It was 2 hour wait once the party started before they served pizza/pasta. Servers asked if I wanted a beer, they never brought it out, then they came back to ask if I wanted something else. I had to ask for a beer again. They also kept turned down the lights to usher people out of the restaurant while we were eating. It just took servers forever to bring food then they wanted everyone to leave. I left disappointed with the experience and still hungry.

Great location on the edge of the pedestrian zone. Small parking garage around the corner if no parking space is available. Great ambience, formerly the old cinema, cozy, great food and incredibly large pizzas. Gladly again. Recommended

Everything was good besides the waiter deciding to tip themselves without telling me. Luckily I found out before leaving and they gave me my money back . When I asked her why she tipped herself without asking She said Americans don’t ever tip and she made a mistake . She accidentally tipped herself the full % . Was a good thing I asked for the recipe.

The pizzas are a little too thin for me. Sometimes I even had holes in the dough that were covered with cheese. Still very tasty.

I love coming here for dinner. I had family visiting from overseas and made sure to come for dinner. We each ordered a drink and split 2 pizzas between the three of us. We came home with over half a pizza. We got the chicken Caesar and the BBQ chicken pizza. I highly recommend both. You can also do half and half pizzas, where you can pick two different pizza and you’ll get half of each (being charged for the more expensive pizza). Definitely a great way to try different kinds.

Absolute impudence there. 14€ for a salad, the size of the salad was an absolute disgrace and a rip-off, hardly any meat in the salad, some of the salad wasn't even washed properly. Waiter very unfriendly after you didn't give a tip, there was no more thank you or goodbye. Definitely not to recommend this restaurant! One star only because otherwise I wouldn't be able to post the review.

It was really a disgrace. I spent EUR 13.50 for a salad and the portion was very small. There was only a small bite of chicken on it. The rest was just pure salad. Afterwards we weren't full. The salads should be offered as a side salad for half the price!! Way too overpriced!

We had a pizza that was very good and a Gamberetti salad that also tasted good, but unfortunately not enough to fill you up with just one slice of bread - it's better to order an additional course here. The service as a whole seemed rather dismissive and listless as soon as we entered the restaurant, which continued throughout our entire stay. Unfortunately, the service felt personally attacked when this was brought up when paying the bill.

L'Osteria used to be a place I really enjoyed going to. Good Italian cuisine (which you just know) and you had the feeling of sitting in a somewhat more upscale restaurant. Today everything is different. Waiters chewing gum and taking orders in annoyance. Just under 17 euros for a pizza that is probably worth <5 euros. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't even manage to serve 2 (in words, two) dishes at the same time. In this price range I just expect to be asked regularly whether everything is OK and whether I would like to drink something else. Here you are simply ignored for 60 minutes. The pizza was also black. Never again L'Osteria in Amberg. Really. There are many nicer alternatives!

Not bad in taste. However, small portions (especially the pasta dishes - you can only come if you're a little hungry) for a lot of money these days. Aperol completely watery. Also a full house and far too few staff. The pasta dish was eaten by the time the pizza arrived. No care is taken to ensure that a table gets their order at the same time. Not a word of apology either. Nobody looks left or right to see whether someone still has a wish. The people around us had to actively ask to order. The other tables also waited so long, we were asked by the neighbors how long it had taken for us. I understand that it was busy and staff were busy. But that's probably bad planning from above and too few staff deployed. The prices are rather high, but unfortunately the performance doesn't keep up. We actually wanted to give the whole thing another chance after the quality of ordering had deteriorated so exorbitantly during Covid. Unfortunately nothing has gotten better. You can now eat cheaper and better elsewhere in Amberg, so we will not visit again.

Location is pretty nice, pleasant outdoor seating and nice relaxing atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly. We thought the lasagna was definitely really tasty. However, the Pizza was found to be remarkably average by any metrics, with a higher concentration of leaking grease and oils when compared against other similar pizzas offered by local Italian restaurants. Worth checking out if you’re hungry for Italian cuisine.

I had to wait 20 minutes until I got my food, which I had ordered by phone 30 minutes in advance, then it was already cold and the employees looked at me strangely the whole time. I guess I don't look like a paying customer. After this experience I will never come back.

I had a salami pizza, my husband a pizza mix, both had no taste, the dough was far too hard. Cutting the pizza would be helpful since the pizza is larger than the plate. We actually wanted to eat in the garden, but we lost our appetite. In the back area, nice and shady, there was a strong smell of sewer, toilet, a very unpleasant smell. Once and never again.

I rarely write reviews, but after my visit today I wanted to write something myself. Positive: The food was very tasty, the service was friendly. What I noticed last Sunday and even more so today was the unfriendly tone of the staff. The (I assume) shift manager shouts loudly at both the service and the kitchen staff so that guests next to us also noticed. Since I noticed it negatively with her last time, I thought it was completely wrong. I was a bit shocked by the way things were handled. As a guest, I want to eat in a relaxed manner and not have to worry about the whims of the employees.

The food is great, I look forward to eating here every time! Starter, main course, dessert all very tasty. You should still expect a longer waiting time, even if the restaurant is 3/4 empty. Guests next to us left because they were left unattended for too long. The location is wonderful, I enjoy being there every time. Highly recommended! Bring time for a comfortable get-together.

Food really tasty. We waited over an hour for our food, which ended up being half forgotten, even though the dishes we ordered were brought to other tables that were there much later than us. Service forgets you if you need a few minutes to think about your order and doesn't come back until half an hour later. Blaming it on the lack of staff is just annoying, nothing against the employees.

The food was great, but I wanted to try something new. It wasn't really my taste, but we go there often. I think it was very good, just not for me. As always, my wife and son enjoyed it very much. When it comes to service, you really can't have any complaints, always friendly and helpful and often ask if everything is ok. We had a question about the old vouchers when paying, and management took care of it immediately. Rare these days. All in all, we were more than satisfied and would like to come back more often.

Food itself was okay, pizza was big, but the pasta dishes were really small. We had celebrated a small birthday and asked for plates for the cake. When billing, they said that three, I repeat, three euros would be charged for each plate! It is not a luxury restaurant with the most beautiful ambience that can charge three euros when the list purchase price of the plate maximum is two 50. But good. I've been to L'Osteria a few times. Pizzas are delicious 🍕 This time I had bruschetta as a starter. It stayed that way. There were four bruschetta pieces like in the photo. Can you eat for two? This was very filling for me and I took my rigatoni al arrabiata home with me. The employee was friendly and quick. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. When the weather is nice you can eat outside.

My boyfriend and I always come here once a month. Haven't had any bad experiences so far. Food was always great. It's best to come over during the week. We especially love the tortelloni. Keep it up!☺️

First of all, serving food at the same time is not their forte. By the time the pasta I ordered arrived, my partner's pizza was already 2/3 eaten. The pizza wasn't even fully baked and the pasta desperately needed another 2 minutes. At least the taste was okay, although nothing earth-shattering... The dessert 'Apple Crumble' with 'vanilla ice cream' was a still-frozen apple crumble like you would find on the frozen shelf in any supermarket. The vanilla ice cream was more like a frozen dollop of vanilla flavored cream. The looks and the half-full plates on the table next to us also spoke volumes... *Irony on* The service was also extremely motivated and friendly... *Irony off* The waitress also rolled her eyes when asked for the bill. And all of this for just under €50... Sorry but never again😑

Great facility and quick service

Simply great, The waitresses were very good. The price is not much more expensive than others, the pizza is huge and you can usually share it for two! The panna cotta and especially the 2 glasses of termisu and co are a dream!
