The pizzas are a little too thin for me. Sometimes I even had holes in the dough that were covered with cheese. Still very tasty.

I was there with my American boyfriend and the waitress constantly hit on him and tried to flirt with him. I will never come to you again

I love coming here for dinner. I had family visiting from overseas and made sure to come for dinner. We each ordered a drink and split 2 pizzas between the three of us. We came home with over half a pizza. We got the chicken Caesar and the BBQ chicken pizza. I highly recommend both. You can also do half and half pizzas, where you can pick two different pizza and you’ll get half of each (being charged for the more expensive pizza). Definitely a great way to try different kinds.

Absolute impudence there. 14€ for a salad, the size of the salad was an absolute disgrace and a rip-off, hardly any meat in the salad, some of the salad wasn't even washed properly. Waiter very unfriendly after you didn't give a tip, there was no more thank you or goodbye. Definitely not to recommend this restaurant! One star only because otherwise I wouldn't be able to post the review.

It was really a disgrace. I spent EUR 13.50 for a salad and the portion was very small. There was only a small bite of chicken on it. The rest was just pure salad. Afterwards we weren't full. The salads should be offered as a side salad for half the price!! Way too overpriced!

Good food in a nice atmosphere. We had a pizza that was very good and a Gamberetti salad that also tasted good, but unfortunately not enough to fill you up with just one slice of bread - it's better to order an additional course here. The service as a whole seemed rather dismissive and listless as soon as we entered the restaurant, which continued throughout our entire stay. Unfortunately, the service felt personally attacked when this was brought up when paying the bill.

Not bad in taste. However, small portions (especially the pasta dishes - you can only come if you're a little hungry) for a lot of money these days. Aperol completely watery. Also a full house and far too few staff. The pasta dish was eaten by the time the pizza arrived. No care is taken to ensure that a table gets their order at the same time. Not a word of apology either. Nobody looks left or right to see whether someone still has a wish. The people around us had to actively ask to order. The other tables also waited so long, we were asked by the neighbors how long it had taken for us. I understand that it was busy and staff were busy. But that's probably bad planning from above and too few staff deployed. The prices are rather high, but unfortunately the performance doesn't keep up. We actually wanted to give the whole thing another chance after the quality of ordering had deteriorated so exorbitantly during Covid. Unfortunately nothing has gotten better. You can now eat cheaper and better elsewhere in Amberg, so we will not visit again.

L'Osteria used to be a place I really enjoyed going to. Good Italian cuisine (which you just know) and you had the feeling of sitting in a somewhat more upscale restaurant. Today everything is different. Waiters chewing gum and taking orders in annoyance. Just under 17 euros for a pizza that is probably worth <5 euros. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't even manage to serve 2 (in words, two) dishes at the same time. In this price range I just expect to be asked regularly whether everything is OK and whether I would like to drink something else. Here you are simply ignored for 60 minutes. The pizza was also black. Never again L'Osteria in Amberg. Really. There are many nicer alternatives!

Location is pretty nice, pleasant outdoor seating and nice relaxing atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly. We thought the lasagna was definitely really tasty. However, the Pizza was found to be remarkably average by any metrics, with a higher concentration of leaking grease and oils when compared against other similar pizzas offered by local Italian restaurants. Worth checking out if you’re hungry for Italian cuisine.

I had to wait 20 minutes until I got my food, which I had ordered by phone 30 minutes in advance, then it was already cold and the employees looked at me strangely the whole time. I guess I don't look like a paying customer. After this experience I will never come back.

I had a salami pizza, my husband a pizza mix, both had no taste, the dough was far too hard. Cutting the pizza would be helpful since the pizza is larger than the plate. We actually wanted to eat in the garden, but we lost our appetite. In the back area, nice and shady, there was a strong smell of sewer, toilet, a very unpleasant smell. Once and never again.

I rarely write reviews, but after my visit today I wanted to write something myself. Positive: The food was very tasty, the service was friendly. What I noticed last Sunday and even more so today was the unfriendly tone of the staff. The (I assume) shift manager shouts loudly at both the service and the kitchen staff so that guests next to us also noticed. Since I noticed it negatively with her last time, I thought it was completely wrong. I was a bit shocked by the way things were handled. As a guest, I want to eat in a relaxed manner and not have to worry about the whims of the employees.

The food is great, I look forward to eating here every time! Starter, main course, dessert all very tasty. You should still expect a longer waiting time, even if the restaurant is 3/4 empty. Guests next to us left because they were left unattended for too long. The location is wonderful, I enjoy being there every time. Highly recommended! Bring time for a comfortable get-together.

Food really tasty. We waited over an hour for our food, which ended up being half forgotten, even though the dishes we ordered were brought to other tables that were there much later than us. Service forgets you if you need a few minutes to think about your order and doesn't come back until half an hour later. Blaming it on the lack of staff is just annoying, nothing against the employees.

Had dinner there with my wife and son on Monday evening. Were amazed. As always, we really liked the atmosphere. The decoration and furnishings fit perfectly and make it cozy. The food was great, but I wanted to try something new. It wasn't really my taste, but we go there often. I think it was very good, just not for me. As always, my wife and son enjoyed it very much. When it comes to service, you really can't have any complaints, always friendly and helpful and often ask if everything is ok. We had a question about the old vouchers when paying, and management took care of it immediately. Rare these days. All in all, we were more than satisfied and would like to come back more often.

2 salads Caesar con pollo and a salami pizza 41.85 euros. So far so good. Burnt croutons in the salad and the pizza was cold when picked up. Tomato sauce on the pizzas was insufficiently seasoned or not seasoned at all. This makes it taste very bland. Food itself was okay, pizza was big, but the pasta dishes were really small. We had celebrated a small birthday and asked for plates for the cake. When billing, they said that three, I repeat, three euros would be charged for each plate! It is not a luxury restaurant with the most beautiful ambience that can charge three euros when the list purchase price of the plate maximum is two 50. But good. It would also be nice to know before you get the plates that a flat rate is charged

I've been to L'Osteria a few times. Pizzas are delicious 🍕 This time I had bruschetta as a starter. It stayed that way. There were four bruschetta pieces like in the photo. Can you eat for two? This was very filling for me and I took my rigatoni al arrabiata home with me. The employee was friendly and quick. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. When the weather is nice you can eat outside.

My boyfriend and I always come here once a month. Haven't had any bad experiences so far. Food was always great. It's best to come over during the week. We especially love the tortelloni. Keep it up!☺️

First of all, serving food at the same time is not their forte. By the time the pasta I ordered arrived, my partner's pizza was already 2/3 eaten. The pizza wasn't even fully baked and the pasta desperately needed another 2 minutes. At least the taste was okay, although nothing earth-shattering... The dessert 'Apple Crumble' with 'vanilla ice cream' was a still-frozen apple crumble like you would find on the frozen shelf in any supermarket. The vanilla ice cream was more like a frozen dollop of vanilla flavored cream. The looks and the half-full plates on the table next to us also spoke volumes... *Irony on* The service was also extremely motivated and friendly... *Irony off* The waitress also rolled her eyes when asked for the bill. Great facility and quick service

Simply great, The waitresses were very good. The price is not much more expensive than others, the pizza is huge and you can usually share it for two! The panna cotta and especially the 2 glasses of termisu and co are a dream!

Food: Both the pizzas and the pasta taste very good! The pizzas are very large and the pasta is delivered locally as well as always OnPoint. The dishes are prepared correctly and are listed correctly on the menu in technical terms. (For example, in many other restaurants you get spaghetti with cheese cream sauce at "Carbonara", but it's actually solid spaghetti!) 5* Service: You can also tell when it comes to service that the people are professionals. The carrying hand is on the left and the working hand is on the right, this ensures the maximum distance to the guest. It may not be noticeable at first to a normal guest, but when you come from the restaurant yourself you have a trained eye for it! The staff is nice and knows how to behave professionally despite the stress, even at the 5* location Ambiance: The ambience is incredibly beautiful, modern and warm. In short, you just feel good! 5* Conclusion: A restaurant that will never be seen again in Amberg. Anyone who is in or out of Amberg should have eaten there. For me it's clear, 5 STARS in all areas!

Unser 2. Besuch in der L'Osteria war gemischt. Ich hatte mit das 25-Jubiläums-Angebot bestellt. Meine Lebensgfährtin einen Salat. Die Ginger-Limonade bestand zur Hälfte aus Eiswürfeln. Das tut im Februar nicht wirklich Not, zumal die dann auch ziemlich schnell verwässert war. Der Inger-Geschmack war auch nicht so wie erwartet (also eher dürftig). Die Pizza maximal dürftig belegt (Halb&Halb). Dafür war der Salat mit Quinoa wirklich super.

For the first time I was very impressed! The interior of the restaurant is very well designed and very open because there are so many seats and the restaurant was quite full, it made a pretty quiet and classy impression. I have to say the food was really very good and I can only say that recommend. Considering that the restaurant was already full, the food came to the table quite quickly and the quality was also fantastic. The service was always there and very friendly (so you didn't have to wait 15 minutes for your next glass of water or anything else ). I also found the prices to be outstanding given the quality you get here. The menu is traditional and if you had any questions about any dish, the service was always open and friendly if you didn't understand exactly or asked whether something was spicy or not. Overall, I'm happy to recommend it and will definitely stop by L'Osteria Amberg more often. Keep it up, I look forward to my next visit.

I had dinner here with my husband yesterday, with great expectations of a relaxed dinner. The location looks very promising from the outside and it would also be nicely decorated inside. Unfortunately it feels like a fattening stable. Very, very loud and cramped, the delivery man constantly has to run through the packed guests eating in the house. Ordered pizza and calzones. The pizza was extremely large (about 10-15 cm larger in diameter than the plate), thin as paper and relatively well topped, but had an inedible 5 cm wide edge all around. Totally annoying that you can somehow cut with dull knives without getting completely dirty or accidentally throwing parts of the pizza into the crowd. The same thing with the calzone, the edge was rolled up and about 2 fingers thick, very dry. The taste was okay but nothing special. I don't think the price of €16.50 each for pizza and calzone is justified. Drinks like Cola/Spezi etc are almost 5€/0.5l. L’Osteria should offer smaller sizes with a normal edge before they have to “throw away” so much. We will definitely never visit this restaurant again.

Reason I rated so low was because it took an hour and a half to get my main meal idk if it was because we’re American or because they lost our ticket or what but they didn’t explain anything and took another 40 minutes to get our desert To go. It was Valentine’s Day so it was busy but the people that sat next to us 5 minutes after we were seated literally paid their check to leave before we even saw our food. Definitely unacceptable ruined my whole night don’t recommend unless you want to be here for 2+ hours

I was physically touched several times and jostled by the waitress while sitting in my seat. My complaint was not addressed. Update: after I wrote a review here, my email was answered. You reacted to save face and not because you were 'sorry'. Instead of taking a stand on this, I should focus on you and call in the small time window in which you have time. As a working person, I work in the morning. I told you more than in detail what happened and then all you get is a sry and that I can still call in your time slot. When I go out to eat, I don't want to be touched, pushed or jostled by the waitress.

We were there for the first time yesterday. Short version: a very nice restaurant, super-friendly service and excellent pizzas. Long version: is very close and was on our way to the Amberg City Theater. An Italian restaurant with the nice ambience of an American restaurant. Great and well-stocked bar, rather dim lighting and, when the place is full, it can get a little louder. Very (!) friendly service and extremely tasty pizzas. In terms of price, the whole thing is at the higher end of the usual prices, but this is more than made up for by the size and taste of the pizzas. See also the photo with my hand as a reference, which is not too small either. Overall, everything went perfectly and we will definitely visit this restaurant again. Ciao ragazzi, buon appetito.

Food super tasty. If the service staff hadn't slept like that, my noodles might have still been warm. But the service is very expandable. Our drinks sat at the counter for 25 minutes until they were brought to us because the person preferred to play with his cell phone.

Great chain restaurant. Get Pizza here, do not go to generic places outside of town. Love how the restaurant valued fitting well in the town center. You must order over $25 in order for them to deliver which is not that much of a drawback considering the food is delicious. Great to dine in or enjoy at home or at your hotel. The parking garage nearby makes the restaurant especially convenient.
